Rate this book
When this older cowboy rescues a hot mess author from a crazy bull, she learns a whole lot more than she anticipated. If growly cowboys, sassy heroines, and laugh-out-loud comedy make your heart pitter-patter, you'll love Cord and Cassia's steamy-sweet story!

Spying on a bossy cowboy lands this hot mess romance author in hot water.

Cassia Murphy

I'm used to getting fan mail from readers.
I am not used to being told off by bossy cowboys.
But that's exactly what Cord Decker does when he emails me.
According to him, I know nothing about the cowboys I write.
I'll never admit it to him, but he's right.
Which is exactly why I suggest his hometown for the annual Galentine's retreat.
I can't strangle him in real life.
But no one ever said I can't make him sweat in my next book.
I just have to keep him from figuring out who I really am…
And keep from falling for him and his gruff ways.
Easy peasy, right?
Ha. I'm in way over my head.

Cord Decker
I don't know what prompted me to email Cassia Murphy.
But I can't keep the curvy blonde author out of my head.
I never expected to find her running for her life from one of my bulls.
Didn't expect to fall hard for her smart mouth either.
She thinks I don't know who she is.
She's wrong.
This sassy little romance author is mine.
I plan to teach her everything she needs to know about cowboys…
In bed and out of it.

What happens at the yearly writer's retreat stays at the retreat...except the bonds these authors forge and the stories they tell. But someone forgot to mention that to the men they find themselves falling for in stunning Lake Tahoe. From the small-town sheriff to the hot, bossy cowboy to the grumpy, reclusive mountain man, these romance authors have stumbled upon real-life trope-tastic heroes that sweep them off their feet. Sometimes literally.

Get ready to laugh, cry, and swoon this Valentine's Day when these six authors bring you on a Galentine's Getaway you won't forget. Galentine’s Getaway is a collection of steamy short romances brought to by six of your favorite instalove authors!

Romance author retreat!! That's what Cassia and her author friends are doing, she picked the place and its because she was getting emails from a hot annoying cowboy who said her cowboy books weren't right. Little flirting over email and cyber stalkering is what both Cass and Cord do. And now Cass has a plan break in and watch Cord be a cowboy for her next book. Let's say a Bull, sprang ankle and a game of "I'm a cattle thief" keeps Cass from leaving and Cord showing her the true lessons of being a cowboy 🥵 and what lessons he shows her.

There is a tiny tiny misunderstanding but it gets fixed asap!! I might read the other books to see the other womans stories.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, secondary character, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

This was absolutely adorable, and so freaking sexy!
Cord has a filthy mouth and it’s glorious.

I loved how he introduces himself. I loved the emails they sent back and forth, being sarcastic and grumpy. It was so funny and cute.

I also really love how they meet for the first time. Cassia trying to lie is a hilarious thing. And Cord trying not to steal her thunder is sweet, but also hilarious.

And then the sex. It was steamy and sexy and Cord’s dirty talk really made it all that much better, because the sex itself was a tiny bit repetitive.

Still.
I had a fantastic time reading this.
It was just the humor filled basket of smut and sweetness that I was hoping it would be.

And the valentines theme was subtle, it was mentioned a bit but not enough to mark this as a February read only.

I loved it.
So freaking cute.

Is there anything hotter than a bossy growly cowboy? Cute, safe story. I loved Cassia’s spunky personality. There is a difference between spunky and alpha female.

-no cheating
-no ow/om drama
-older man/younger woman
-no violence
- epilogue with marriage and babies

Holy shit, cowboy! This was so hot! And funny. And sweet. And hot. Yeah, really hot. The man was sexy as hell. And the breeding kink made it all much hotter.

Adorably Quirky Author & Alpha Infatuated Cowboy

Best read of the series. Nichole shows again how awesome of a storyteller she is when introducing characters. The detail she writes without it being all filler is a reason she is a fav.

“I regret to inform you that I made the mistake of giving it a read. You paint a pretty picture with words, but you haven't ever seen a real cowboy a day in your life, have you?”
Declan was about as realistic as my prize bull's hopes of escaping this fine establishment for greener pastures. The bastard has been trying for years. Sad to say, he isn't going anywhere but to the butcher if he keeps it up.”

Let m just begin by saying that the banter between these two, is so cute and funny… from the very beginning! The emails they exchanged? OML did I laugh my socks of!

This was my last book in the Galantine’s Getaway series and was my first book by author Nichole Rose! Lets just say I was pleasantly surprised by both the plot and the authors writing and witty humor!

“I bet he's not even a real cowboy. He's probably a middle-aged man who lives in his mom's basement and plays video games all day. He's a troll, that's what he is.”

Cassia Murphy (or Cassiopeia Murphy as her mother named her) is a curvy author of romance novels.
She’s dramatic, over the top, sweet and oh so funny!

This book starts when Cord Decker decides to email Cassia to rant about her books and her blatant lack of “cowboy knowledge”.
Cassia, ends up responding to the “hate mail” even tho by accident, earning her a distraction that becomes addictive.

“My condolences to whomever you're having relations with. I hope she finds your performance more satisfactory than I found your email.”

Even tho Cassia tries to convince herself that Cord isn’t a real cowboy, just someone that likes to get a rise out of her, she ends up taking the bait and looking him up online.

Let me just make a parentheses here to say that, tho this is a fictional book and everything went great for Cassia and she was in fact talking to the real Cord, unfortunately there are a lot of people that get catfished like this online. So always be careful.

What she finds out is that Cord is in fact a cowboy and hot has hell!
He owns his own farm and the man is absolutely stunning.
So upon much reflection, Cassia decides to have the annual Galentines Getaway in the same town as Cords Farm.

“He's precisely the reason that saying save a horse ride a cowboy was created.”

This was probably the book I was most curious about reading… and it was the last one to come out…
Cassias antics and secrets were all spread in all of the other authors books, so I was seriously itching to read her story and the reason why she had want to spend their retreat in Lake Tahoe to begin with.

It was worth the wait! Cassia and Cords book was my favorite of the series (Romancing the Sheriff by Mia Broody is a close second!)

“I can't seem to get one particular woman off my fucking mind. It doesn't make a damn bit of sense either. I've never even been in the same room as Cassia Murphy, yet I'm already half convinced she's the woman for me. Problematic since she lives in Seattle and my life is on a ranch in Lake Tahoe. Last I heard, kidnapping was still illegal in all fifty states.”

Cord has been alone for years!
After the death of his parents, he raised his baby sister and put his sentimental life on hold… well he actually kicked to the curb and never thought of it again… until his sister left a very unsuspecting book in his house and he fell head over heels in love with the authors picture.

Yes! Cord is that kind of hero!
When you know, you know, right! And this cowboy knows when he finally eyes the other half of his soul, even if it’s on paper.

“I want the forever kind of love I write about. I know it exists. One day, I'll be brave enough to chase it”

I loved Cassia and Cords romance.
OML Cassia is so funny and over the top that she made me laugh non stop.
Cord is such a great man and hero. Kind hearted, reliable, with a great set of priorities and an alpha male through and through.

“Would you stop trying to touch all of my parts and let me up?"
"I'm checking for injuries."
"On my boobs?" she hisses.”

“You fell?"
"No. A root tried to murder me, and a log decided to help.”

As I said previously this was an interesting series.
I do realize that it must be hard to for various authors to write a series in which some of the characters and scenes are shared… with that said, some of the authors made a better job at including the other authors narratives and respecting the events better than others.
This book was the one that I find is most consistent with all the others. The author really made the effort to pay attention to the other authors plots in other to not have conflicts in the narrative and I greatly appreciate it.

The couple: Cord and Cassia

Romance genre: Opposites attract
Series: Galentine's Getaway
Length: 154 pages

Plot: Cassia writes romance novels, and one day she receives an email from a reader. Cord tells her that he read one of her books when his sister left it laying around and he wants to tell her that she's all wrong about cowboys. Normally she wouldn't write back to a criticizing fan, but she can't help herself. Thus starts a flirty correspondence, and when booking her next girls trip, they "somehow" end up near Cord's ranch. Of course they run into each other, and their real-life banter is just as flirty as their emails. But can Cord convince Cassia that his ranch would be a great place to settle?

Commentary: This was such a fun read! Cassia was hilarious and Cord was sneaky as could be. He loved to rile her up! She gave as good as she got though, the erstwhile cattle thief! I loved how they each separately worried about what would happen but neither of them let that stand in the way of their burgeoning romance.
My favorite part is when he wondered what she was looking at on her phone, and she told him "Farmers Only." That cracked me up!

Previous book in the series: Romancing the Billionaire

I hope she's ready for me, because I'm not letting her leave until she knows exactly what it feels like to be loved hard by a real cowboy.

Possessive, silver fox, alpha cowboy?

Yes, Please!

Romancing The Cowboy is a deliciously sexy and slightly over the top, instalove romance read. Cassia, a romance author gets the shock of her life when a sexy cowboy reads one of her romance books and offers “constructive” criticism! Things heat up and get super spicy when the two meet.

I loved their chemistry and just how much fun this book was to read! Sexy + funny + sweet = must read romance!

I’m giving this book the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!

This was so funny and hot. I love these two characters...

If I had to say something I didn't totally like, it was the pretty baby thing. I just felt like it was overused.

But everything else, from the girls, to cassia getting chased by the bull, her sassy attitude, to the sex, to Cords "lessons", to the happy ending...

Cassia is a romance author that really doesn't know anything about romance. When she starts writing cowboy romance, she grabs the attention of a real life cowboy. Cord is convinced that Cassia is his one and only and just needs to convince her to come out to his ranch to "learn about cowboys" but he really wants to convince her to stay.

This book is hot and steamy and I couldn't put it down! I received this book as an ARC and am giving it my honest review.

Romancing the Cowboy de Nichole Rose serie Galentine’s getaway libro 6

Argumento:

Decir ah. Estoy muy por encima de mi cabeza.

Cord Decker

Pack your bags, saddle up and get ready to meet yourself a real cowboy!
This series is following a group of sassy sweet romance authors on their Galentines writing retreat in Lake Tahoe.
Cassia is a sweet, sassy woman who is writing romance, but it is all in her imagination as she has never really been in love or had that connection. When she starts writing cowboy romance and she catches the eye of a real-life cowboy she is about to get her spurs handed to her.
Cord is a bit of a loner who is hardworking and running a ranch. His sister happens to leave a book at his home, he soon finds himself enthralled by the words, but the facts are all wrong. So, what does he do?? He reaches out to the author, and he comically hands her cute curvy butt with his wit and straight forward cowboy life facts. Cassia finds herself angry, hot under the collar and a whole lot intrigued. She is ready to go out and do some on sight research but in stealth mode....of course.
This is a total funny meet cute when Cassia finds herself in the path of quite an ornery bull who just so happens to belong to Cord. This couple has immediate connection, sizzle, wonderfully witty banter and Cord is ready to woo this fine young lassie whether she likes it or not and believe me she LIKEs it!
Loved Cord and Cassia !

I started this around 10:30pm. I had to make myself put it down to go to sleep and woke up itching to finish it. The prologue was too funny! I thought I was going to wake up my husband from all my laughing.

Every chapter drew me in. I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting older and closer to Cord’s age but Omg, he is hot! Like seriously. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. I think this is one of Rose’s best yet. It was alpha, sweet, swoony, and oh so steamy.

It seems like Rose’s more recent books are longer than her the first ones she put out. I love this because we get a richer, deeper story but the same sweet and steam.

I received an ARC for my honest opinion.

Cassia is smart mouthed and strong willed and I just loved her, I also totally related to her when doubts crept in too. This readers retreat sounded so fun for all of them. Now Cord? Cowboy take me away..I immediately fell in love with him. I loved the banter between them and his lessons and how they just seemed to perfectly fit. Such a feel good story. I can’t wait to read about the others now!

Cord and Cassie. This one was super sweet and interesting to me. But with a twist that I don’t like.

Cassia Murphy is the prettiest little thing I've ever seen. The second I saw her photo staring up at me from the back of the book Cleary left on my coffee table, I was hooked. Those brown doe eyes and that sweet, cheeky smile are Kryptonite for a man like me. I haven't had soft in decades. Sweet either, for that matter. That smile promised both.

I started reading that damn book right then and there. Spent all fucking night reading every word, curious to know what a sweet little thing like her looks for in a man. Imagine my surprise when every word pissed me off. She's talented beyond measure. The way she paints a picture with her words is a thing of beauty. But the more I read, the more I realized I didn't want her writing about some other man. I wanted her writing about me. I wanted her thinking about me.
I want her, period.

They were so adorable. Cassie was a romance writer, and Cord was a cowboy. He was bossy, grumpy and insane when he first laid his eyes on Cassie’s photo in her romance books.

I shouldn't have fired off that first email, but I knew it'd get her attention. She's a fucking goddess. Men probably line up to compete for a moment of her time. I doubt many complain her heroes aren't alpha enough. I cut to the front of the line, gave her a reason to remember me. Of course insulting her cowboys riled her up. She's feisty and gives as good as she gets.

After that, he emailed her to tell her the real cowboy was like how she wrote. And he was willing to prove it to her. They were so cuter when they back and forth emailing each other.

I've been stalking her social media like a goddamn creep ever since. Cleary refuses to loan me another book. She's suspicious. I won't tell her why I'm reading them. She thinks I've lost my mind. Hell, I may have. I email Cassia every fucking day, just because I can't resist. I want her thinking about me. When she sits down to write, I want it to be my name on her mind, my emails running through her head.

I'm ready to fly to Seattle to spank her pretty little ass for ignoring me.

Cassie made me laughed so much throughout the reading, she was SOOO funny and hilarious when she was sassy like a brat.

"Would you stop trying to touch all of my parts and let me up?"

"I'm checking for injuries."

"On my boobs?" she hisses.

☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻🤣🤣🤣 Even their small dialogue made me lol.

She's a wild one, full of fire and spirit.

I've read every word she's written. I know what makes her tick, what she dreams about, what she craves on that soul-deep level. Cassia Murphy wasn't made for a soft ass man. She was made for me. She might not know it yet, but she will soon enough.

Her breath trembles as she stares up at me, want stamped into every line of her gorgeous face.

Soon, pretty baby. Soon, I silently promise.

One thing I hate was she told her more than twenty more times she loves him during their making love, but he never said one time. And after she was upset, decided to leave, he didn’t even noticed why she was upset. Even after she explained why she was grief, he told her that he loves her, I still feel unhappy.

How can you forget to say I love you when you really love someone?? I don’t get it. Not to mention she said to FUCKING MANY TIMES???

I will give it three stars, because of hero. I wouldn’t forgot him that easy.

OMG! Wonderful quick read, short and sweet. I just couldn't put it down. I was laughing at some of the things they say to each other. Amazing HEA.

Cassia is an author, Cord is a cowboy. Cassia writes about cowboys, but has never been with one. Cord starts reading Cassia books because of his sister, Cleary. Cord can't believe some of the things Cassia writes in her books, so he starts emailing her. Cord complains about her books not being realistic enough. Cassia can't believe the nerve Cord has to of writing to an author to complain about her books. They send several emails back and forth to one another. Cord then invites Cassia to come to his ranch to see how a real cowboy handles his women. Cassia gets the idea to have a authors retreat and spy on Cord. Cassia gets her author girlfriends to go on the retreat to Lake Tahoe, so she can see how real cowboys are. When Cassia goes to spy on Cord she gets caught by Cords bull, Hamburger. Hamburger starts chasing Cassia and she fears for her life, until Cord steps in. Cassia has sprained her ankle, but she also lies to Cord and tells him she is a cattle thief, here to steal all his cattle. Cord see through her lies and carries her back to his house. Cord knows immediately who she is, even though she told him her name is Cassioeia, the name her mother gave her. Cord tells Cassia she needs to rest to heal her ankle, he then goes back to working on his ranch. When Cord returns to the house Cassia is busy making dinner for him. Cord takes Cassie on a tour of his ranch and shows her where the heifers have their calf and where they go after. Cassie is impressed with all the things that happen on Cords ranch. Cord has to go searching for Hamburger again because he escaped, when it takes him well into the night, Cassia get scared something happened to them. When Cord returns Cassie tells him how she feels but Cord doesn't say anything back to her. Cassia takes off before Cord can tell her goodbye. Cord wakes up the next day to find Cassia gone. So Cords head to the retreat to find Cassia to find out why she left in the middle of the night. When Cassia tells him the reason, he apologies to her and tells her he feels the same way. Cord tells Cassia he will move to Seattle if that is what she wants from him. Cord ask Cassia to marry him and he will live wherever she wants to because he will follow her wherever she wants to go. Cord and Cassia have a wonderful HEA!!

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

Cord and Cassia’s meet cute happens via an email. Cord reads one of Cassia’s cowboy romances and sends her a message telling her the cowboy character is written all wrong. She knows not to engage with a reader who sends a critical email but she can’t help it, she types out a snarky reply, stops to thinks about it and then deletes it. But did she, delete it? Nope, cause a few minutes later she gets a reply. Thus starts their daily emails, Cord criticizing her male hero’s from each of her books and her being funny, witty and, snarky back. She tells him she doesn’t believe he’s a real cowboy, he sends her a link to his ranch’s webpage. She can’t believe that she has been exchanging emails with this hot cowboy. She can’t get him out of her head so she decides she needs to see him in person, for research purpose, and she’s going to do it by stealth. Cord saw her photo on the back of her book that his sister left at his house and has been in love with her since then and knew the best way to attract her attention is through her writing.
Cassia suggests Lake Tahoe, where Cord has his ranch, for their annual writer’s retreat, her and five of her writer friends all meet there and each has a romantic encounter with their one.
There are so many funny and heartfelt moments in the book, also loved the big red angus bull, Hamburger. Cassia is just the right mix of sassy and snarky without being obnoxious. Cord is the perfect cranky, older cowboy who has a soft spot for his woman. Their sexy times are hot, she’s a virgin, he’s been celibate more than 16 years. When she tells him I love you and he doesn’t say it back it hits her where her mom, a real piece of work, had chipped away at her her whole life by telling her no man would ever love her. Feeling heartbroken she leave, Cord chases and makes it right. Cute epilogue five years later with kids and her wanting Cord to breed her again.
I loved how he called her pretty baby, was refreshing from the usual baby girl.

This book had so many icks and now I must list them here for you.
Ick #1: The pet name "pretty baby." I think it might have been tolerable except the mmc used it at least 48 times. I really tried to count them after about the third use because it was just 🤢 There may actually be more than 48 because I kept cringing when I'd read it and then have to remind myself to count.
Ick #2: 15 year age gap with a virgin fmc who is also a romance novelist. I'm not a huge fan of age gap (I know for some people that really revs their engine), but I just feel like there's something wrong with a 41 year old man who can't be soul mates with someone his age. Dudes who can't date women their own age come across as having weird power/control issues that want to manipulate women. Also, the virgin thing would be fine if 4 out of the 6 books in this series didn't feature romance novelist fmcs who are also virgins. Its like how are there so many? Each book in the series is written by a different author, but the virgin thing is like a huge plot point at the beginning. They make some challenge to have all the virgins try to lose their v-card while on this trip. So if, like me, you binge the books it starts to feel weird that there's so many romance authors writing smut without any personal experience.
Ick #3: tribal tattoos - enough said
Ick #4: breeding. Again, I know this is some people's thing, and I'm not trying to kink shame. However, the main characters have known each other like 1 day when this dude decides he wants to impregnate this girl he barely knows. And then he tells her that. Not "oh hey, I think I'm in love and would like to marry you and have babies with you", but like "I'm going to breed you." And then says it so many times over the rest of the book. Even in the epilogue Cassia is asking him to breed her 🤢
I appreciate that this series features plus size fmc but hate that they are all insta-love with immediate marriages. Will that keep me from finishing the series? Probably not 🤷‍♀️

Holy Hamburger, Cassia and Cord’s story is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥! Cassia is the embodiment of my favorite kind of heroine. She is smart. She is sassy. She’s an author and she lives on the edge of the hot mess express. I. ADORED. HER. Cord, smh, is something indescribable. Prime book boyfriend material. He’s a cowboy, he’s bossy as hell and he fell in love with Cassia when he read one of her books.

There is also a bull named Hamburger. I mean how many romances feature a bull that would give a book boyfriend a run for his money on the grumpy-stubborn scale?
Only this one, I’m sure.

Cord and Cassia just worked me. Their chemistry, their yin and yang vibe were scorch-the-earth hot. Cassie, who never backed down even when Cord was at his bossy best and Cord, with a heart of gold and his filthy-talking mouth….whew!

I laughed and got tingly as I read this book. I hope you will too. This book is part of an excellent series and you should take the time to read all six books.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I purchased a copy. This is my honest, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review.

This was a GREAT book!!! Cassia and Cord are terrific together. Cord read one of Cassia’s books and reached out to her after seeing her picture and falling in love with her. Cassia responds back to Cord and so their daily emails begin. Cassia cannot wait for Cord’s daily emails. Cord is totally in love with Cassia and invites her to his ranch so she can see what a REAL cowboy is like.
Going on an author’s retreat with other romance writers, Cassia suggests a location near Cord’s ranch. A series of hilarious circumstances bring Cord and Cassia together. After which, there are lots of hot, steamy times between Cord and Cassia. It does not take long for Cord to realize that he lives Cassia and has to keep her with him. Cassia also realizes that she’s in love with Cord.
A terrible misunderstanding nearly keeps them apart but luckily, there is a HEA in sight for Cord and Cassia! I really enjoyed this book and believe that you will too!

Sexy cowboy meets sassy romance author

Cassia is a romance author that focuses on writing about cowboy hero's. Cord is a cattle rancher that sees one of his sister's romance books and decides to take a look. From that moment, Cord was struck with the lightning of attraction. He emails Cassia to tell her how wrong she writes about cowboys. Cassia, unable to let it go, emails him back. For six weeks, these two email quick witted, flirty messages back and forward. Then when it's time to take a trip with her friends she decides to visit Cords home town. When he sees her on his land, being chased by his ornery bull, he knows immediately who she is. But she tries to say that she's actually a cattle thief. These two were hilarious! And I absolutely loves Cords lessons that he had to teach Cassia. They made an awesome couple!!

Cord is one of those hot and possessive man who knows what he wants and that's Cassia. Ever since, he sent an email regarding his opinion on her books, they cannot stop replying to each other despite of his complaints of the characters of her books. It was supposed to be a retreat but little she knows Cord will finally have a way in her heart. They cannot ignore the sparks between them and as they get to know each other, they realized how long they have finally waited to meet their true love. I love how the Cassia is a strong, passionate and smart person and how well Cord respects her decisions which is I love the most in a character's personality. He may be a grumpy person but he's a real softie towards Cassia and will do whatever he takes to see her happy for the rest of their lives. Great book and love the HEA epilogue too.

Cord & Cassia had me laughing the entire book with their crazy comebacks and amazing banter. Nichole Rose really knocked it out of the park with these two characters, because reading about them was the best part of my entire week and the book was just so good!

The premise of having a group of romance authors finding love on a Galentines getaway automatically had me reaching for this wonderful and steamy romance. What I was not expect was to really enjoy the other author’s book that go along with this one. I can tell you with full honestly that all the books about the wonderful ladies in Cassia’s friend group all have very good stories as well. Of Course NR is always going to be my fav, but can you blame me?

The way this book starts out with Cord & Cassia’s emails to each other bickering about her books was hilarious, and I even got the thrill of her getting a new response from him. This was classic NR romance with plenty of steamy times, and Cord is a little older than Cassia, but it is safety guaranteed and the happily ever after is everything. This may just be my top NR book yet!

This book is part of the Galentine’s Getaway Series. Cassie writes Cowboy romance books. One day she receives an email from man about all the things wrong with her books. He says he is a real cowboy and knows these things. She has never received an email like this before. She can’t help but respond to the emails. Cord read one of Cassie’s books because his sister left it at his house. He is surprised by how good the book is. When he looks Cassie up, he is taken right away. He knows he needs his email to stand out so that she will want to respond to him. They begin to write back and forth. Cord has Cassia hooked and she decides to suggest the retreat be near where Cord’s ranch is. She can just slip in and out he will never know she is there. Things don’t go as planned. When Cord’s bull Hamburger charges her and gets hurt Cord has his chance to win her over. To show her that she is meant to be his. This book was a fantastic funny instalove read. I love how all the books in this series interconnect. Great job Nichole.

Cassia is a romance writer and receives fan mail from readers and is surprised when one claims to be a cowboy and that she got a lot wrong about them. Of course, she answers him and thus starts a back and forth exchange. Little do her friends know why she chose Lake Tahoe for their annual Galentine's retreat, that is where he lives, Cord Decker.

Cord does not know what possessed him to email Cassia and point out she had her facts wrong, but he cannot seem to get her out of his head. When he sees her running from his ornery bull, he to save her.

This is a sweet and steamy story, part of the Galentine's Getaway series by multiple authors.

🔥🔥😹😹Hot, Funny and Sweet🔥🔥😹😹

This was my first in this series and I am going to grab the 1st book in this series thru my KU right after this review to read about the other characters in this book. 😁 I read this thru KU but I will purchase it also. I had quite a few moments of literally LOL 😝 This one had a little more bossiness in the smexy times, which I really liked, than I have read from this author. I like heat in my stories and this had it. I really loved 😍Cord and he is a total book boyfriend, yum yum. I also loved Cassia, she was so funny and sweet and a total mess, especially her “hiking” in the woods, that is so me!! I totally recommend this book if you love instalove books with some good steam mixed in.

Cassia, a romance author, is at a yearly writer's retreat in Lake Tahoe. She set this retreat up in this location so she could deal with Cord. He had emailed her about her lack of knowledge about real cowboys. The emails between them are hilarious. When he finds out she's in town... he wants to make plans. But she beats him to it by sneaking on to his land. Then his bull attacks her, and he runs to the rescue. Now, he just has to convince her to stay and to tell him who she really is.

These books were funny and cute. I enjoyed them.

Cord and Cassia's story made me giddy with happiness! Cord is just magnificent! He reads one of Cassia's books that his sister left lying around! He is a little irritated at the inaccuracies of cowboy life or so he says in his first email to her. There is some adorable banter back and forth via email that I adored! He keeps trying to lure her to his ranch to see what a real cowboy does. She is completely enamored of him but can't risk seeing him face to face. What follows is just so sweet and funny, I can't take the chance on ruining it. Just do yourself a favor and read this completely adorable romance. All the stars for Cord and Cassia!
