Award-winning and USA Today bestselling author Alexa Aston lives with her husband in a Dallas suburb, where she eats her fair share of dark chocolate and plots out stories while she walks every morning. She enjoys travel, sports, and time with her family.
Her historical romances bring to life loveable rogues and dashing knights, while her contemporary romances are light and flirty and sometimes contain a bit of suspense.
I do love the St Claire’s . This is a festive visit with Luke and Caroline , their story can be found in Embracing The Earl book 3 of the series.
A small 5year old girl finds herself in dire need of a saviour. That’s where Luke comes in , he sees her one evening and tries to help her , but as all wary children who live on the the street do , she runs away . Is his heart big enough to continue the search , are his family loving enough to accept one more addition.
Beautifully written and all wrapped in Alexa’s excellent storyline , loved this so much . A perfect good feeling seasonal novella.
The perfect heartwarming story for the holidays of an orphan girl and a wonderful chance at having a home. Luke and Caroline St. Clair who where in the series book 3 Embracing the Earl are revisited and this time Luke spies a little girl peering in the window and tries to aid her. He cannot give up and searches for her. Will little Lucy find a forever home with Luke and his wife? As usual Alexa Aston weaves a tale that will not soon be forgotten!
I’ve read (and separately reviewed) all five of The St. Clairs series novels and loved every single one of them. Lucy, Caroline and Lucy’s novella is a sweet treat that’s a followup to book 2 in the series, Embracing the Earl. As such it’s a 5-star cherry on top of a goodness pie. You really do need to read book 5, however, to really enjoy this short tale. That book can stand totally alone but, frankly, you’re missing out if you don’t do the full series, starting with its first book.

I don't usually give a 5 star review for a novelette but this one is definitely worth it. My heartstrings were completely involved with this story of a little girl who finds her forever home during Christmastide. I just loved Luke and Caroline St. Clair for opening their hearts and home to this precious little girl, Lucy.
It's no wonder I love reading Alexa Aston's books, they have so much heart!!
This was a tragedy yet it was a very touching story. It was so sweet that these people took in this sweet little orphan and gave her a home. It was sad for the boys one who lost his life and the other lost to the street's. It's sad to know how many children still live on the street's in today's society. It's good to know that there's good people who will help children in desperate need.
I liked the story of Lucy. How she ended up on the streets, lost and cold. I'm glad she got to find a home with lots of children her age and a warm place to sleep. She was found by the perfect family. I recommend this book. 👍👍👍❤❤❤
It will break your heart, Lucy is sad and miserable living in a cruel and tragic world for a 6 year old! But she shows strength and courage and runs away into the loving arms of Luke and Caroline St. Clair!
I know this was a novella, but it seemed like the ending left you hangin. The story was cut off abruptly. I was really drawn in like I was with others in this series but I felt like this one left me hanging
What a heart-warming little story which only takes a long morning tea to read. I loved the St Clair series filled with both sadness and joy, this story enhances lots of sadness and joy. Highly recommend the entire series!
She was sold by her father when her mother died, Lucy is being trained to work the streets. But she meets Luke and Caroline and the decide to make her their own. After all, it is Christmas time what a delightful story
Too short! I realize this book is a Novella but things were left undone. What happened to Boy? How did the St. Clair children take to Lucy? How was Lucy's transition into a family? Would have liked some loose ends tied up.
Luke St. Clair is still making hearts smile only this time it’s a homeless waif. Caroline and he meet a little girl and take her as one of their own. This is the epitome of all the St. Clairs stand for love, family and values.
Lucy is a child of the streets. Luke and Caroline are a nice couple who take it in their lives to help a homeless child. Alexa Aston has done it again.
Children are the causes of sex! Lust is a component of sex. Greed is a need for sex. Lost is a child from sex. But the true love for sex creates a child!!??
Lovely little story. So sweet. Love shared is bliss. A sad beginning but lovely wrap up. I would love to read Lucy's romance story in a full length book.
