Especially for Bam, a football player arrested for a bar fight. Never mind that he was defending someone. That doesn’t matter; all that matters is that he is a big, brawny football player. Even the owner of the team he plays for doesn’t care.
His image needs some serious work.
That’s where I come in. I’m a publicist assigned to help his public reputation. To say the two of us don’t get along— That’s an understatement.
I make it clear that I only need one thing from him: do as he’s told and show up when I tell him to.
Simple.
The one speaking engagement I get him, a huge honor, he doesn’t even show up, and now my job is on the line.
Can the two of us set the record straight? And, as we get closer, will we find that our jobs aren’t the only things on the line, but our hearts as well?

Tackled by Lizzi Stone is the third book in the Chesapeake Commanders novel series. We meet Bam & Grace who goes from enemies to lovers I'm this amazing story.
Bam is a big, brawny football player who gets arrested after a bar fight. In comes Grace the beautiful Publicist who goes in to do damage control work to fix his damaged image. However Bam manages to mess up the one speaking engagement Grace manage to arrange which puts her job on the line.
I loved how the author developed their characters from enemies to lovers. I really liked these two with their constant banter! You could feel tension whenever they were close proximity.
I love the progression of the series through the team members, and that Becca- Hawk and Chase- Ashley were still part of this story. The world built by the author is an interesting one with lots of fantastic supporting characters, many of whom you hope will return with their own stories
This was a fun, easy read that I recommend if you are in need of a feel-good romance. Their friendship and connection was so strong right from the start. If you enjoy sports romance, enemies to lovers trope you should absolutely read this book
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to Romance Me With Books and Lizzi Stone for this gifted e ARC
My Rate: ⭐⭐⭐ 3/5 (As in other books by this author, this book had a very interesting premise, publicist helps football star get back on the good side of the media. But the execution was a bit poor. For me, the most important part of a romance is the reason why this couple can’t be together from moment one, and in here, for most of the book, this reason didn’t exist. They had a very shallow relationship, the whole conflict was a bit weak. And last but not least the dialogue was weak too. It was stiff, without emotion or dept. There was no chemistry, and things happened a bit suddenly. I honestly don’t believe in this couple. They are just two random people, who have to work together.
Equality rate: ⭐⭐⭐ 3/5 (From the Equality rate standpoint this book was very neutral. Nothing horrible, but nothing amazing either. I just have that I didn’t like this hero. He is uncooperative and shallow, with a huge ego, that didn’t please me.)
Adjectives and general thoughts: Had a good premise, but the execution wasn’t good enough.
This was Bam’s book, book 3 of the Chesapeake Commanders series. I love Bam for his ego and confidence though in this book it proves it can get him into a whole lot of trouble. Enter Grace, the beautiful publicist brought in to fix his damaged image. However, when Bam messes up yet again, she loses her chance to prove herself at least with the Commanders. Bam comes up with a brilliant plan that will benefit them both, but can they pull it off without catching feelings? Bam’s reputation isn’t great so Grace finds it hard to believe that she means more. A little stalking my Harvey Danbury almost kills their budding relationship but his meddling also pushes them back together. I love how all the characters from the previous books make their appearances. The chosen family they have created is really sweet. I love when the boys give each other crap and how the women support each other. In the end Bam and Grace’s HEA is sweet and I’m so glad Bam has found his one!
Tackeld bt Lizzi Stone was such a good book. I laughed out loud quite a few times, and was always looking forward to the scenes with some of my favorite characters. The banter between my football boys in the book was spot on, and I never get bored with any of them around. Great job, Lizzi! I can't wait for all of you to meet my boys.
Bam and Grace were absolutely amazing! I just loved how the two reacted to one another, and the tension between them was something else. Bam and Grace really tried to be professional, but love won in the end. They are both such unique characters, and I just love them. You will too! This book is going to make you laugh and wonder how in the world Grace deals with Bam. Read Tackeld by Lizzie Stone to get all of the juicy details!
Why should you read this book?🤔 👇🏻 👻My Recommendation 👉🏻 “Amazing” 3.5 ⭐⭐⭐🌗/5 • 👍🏻 I really loved the book! The best feature about sports romance is the locker room banter!! 🤣
👍🏻 This was my third book by the author Lizzi and I am definitely looking forward to the 4th! The character sketch of Bam in this will have you drooling❤🖤
👎🏻 However, as compared to the first 2 books, this book was a slow read and I kept losing interest in some places and had to pull through🤔
👍🏻 But overall the book had a good crack of jokes, it was entertaining at best and fun to read!❤️🔥
I always share teasers from the book, so swipe to read some of them after the cover!😛
👍🏻My recommendation: If you looking for a rom com, this book will definitely crack you up!😂
Tackled is the third book in the Chesapeake Commanders series, and it's Bam's story. I absolutely love this series. If you haven't read any of the books yet, you really need to check them out. Lizzi does a great job with a fun sports romance story. Bam is a fun loving guy. He's good looking and he knows it. After Bam finds himself in a little trouble, he meets Grace. Grace is a publicist assigned to Bam in hopes of helping him fix and maintain a good reputation and image for the team. This is a fun, cute read. I love the banter between Bam and his teammates, and how they are also in this book as well. This is such a fun series to read definitely go check it out
Im3enjoying this series. I have a suggestion for Bam and Grace. Put glass doors and roof on the balcony, with vents and cat tree etc and then they can have their litter tray out there, a view, sunlight and fresher air.
50% in couldn’t keep my attention focused on the story. The characters weren’t bad or anything but if a story is going to be a slow burn I need to be invested and I just wasn’t.
Bam and Grace are amazing. I really enjoyed their story. It is cute, sexy and fast paced. This is the first book that I have read in the series and I am excited to go back and read about the first 2 couples. What a fun and refreshing read.

Onto book 3 in the Chesapeake Commanders series by Lizzi Stone. All of the characters from the first two books still make appearances, and I love how one book flows right into the next book. The story just continues with a different player being the center of the storyline.
In Tackled, we look into the life of Bam and his relationship with Grace. It begins with her being hired as his publicist and grows from there. This book seemed to jump into their lust for each other in the blink of an eye. It is a quick read, though, so I guess that is why things moved so quickly.
Overall, this was an enjoyable, quick romance! Next up will be Ollie’s story, so stay tuned for that one!
‘Intercept’ is the third book in the Storm Valley Rapids series. You don’t have to read the first two but you’d be missing out, as the camaraderie, in my opinion, is the best part of this series. The characters of the first two books are also very involved in all of the books and it’s fun to see how each couple evolves. That being said, Jo Bradley has become one of my go-to authors. I’m reading to review this new release through Booksprout but it would be an instant buy for me anyway. I especially love the male characters, as I mentioned, the relationship between them is great. They support each other unconditionally and rip on each other constantly. Their ladies are great, too. They welcome the new “members” of the friend group with open arms and no judgment. Heartwarming and fun!

This is the third book in this incredible series, and this is football star Ban and Grace, who works in PR, is hired to redeem his image. This is a well written story which has family, friendships, undeniable chemistry, emotions, bickering, enemies / lovers, engaging and realistic characters, drama, challenges, and love, which leads to an entertaining and fun sports romance. Totally loved reading Bam & Grace's story. She's been hired by his boss to sort out a PR disaster that Bam got caught up in. His ego is huge & she won't take any of his BS. Sparks & verbal insults fly. Can they resist crossing the line & giving in to temptation? I recommend giving their story a read. Great addition to the series & can't wait for the next book.

Bam is a PR nightmare that's all Grace's to deal with after a bar fight to defend his sister. But Bam doesn't make things easy when Grace's jobs on the line will Bam step up and win her heart too? Well written the story is engaging, well developed characters. Steamy scenes, desires, drama and more.
