If you’re looking for a model text to show your class, this might be good. There are a lot of grammatical devices used specifically for that purpose. It definitely hits (at least) the Year 4 writing objectives. The problem was, it doesn’t feel like it flows very well!

There was also lots of information dumping in here about the Viking times, so it does do its purpose of being an educational text.

I’m just not sure how gripping the actual story was!
