An excellent cookbook with a bit of a different twist. Beautifully illustrated recipes. If you are sick of all those gimmicky cookbooks and want a book with real recipes for real people, i'd recommend buying this one.

Extremely happy upon receiving this highly anticipated cookbook. The recipes, while all being delicious, are not superfluous in that they are designed to contribute to one's health and performance also.

The dishes in this book perfectly match my taste! All recipes are described very well, easy to follow and neither take a lot of time nor require much prior experience.
This modern take on traditional European cuisine brings us closer to our ancestors and provides healthy and nutritious meals for the whole family. I’ve made the „hidden liver shepherds pie“ already and loved it.
I would recommend this cookbook to anyone interested in their culinary roots with a hearty appetite and interest in creative cooking.
Thanks to Julia for the inspiration!

Good food, attractive book, and very interesting to cook with the ingredients and techniques our forebears used.

Sooo many good west African recipes! I can't believe how this book brought back the pleasures of my younger years in Nigeria!

The author is a beautiful Nigerian woman and she knows so much about our beautiful and diverse past. I fully recommend this to all Africans and allies!

I already read some parts of Julia Follin's book and I'm expecting to read it as soon as possible. As a French, cooking is my second nature ! More, it's a very good idea to offer a perspective of traditional European dishes and recipes as a whole and not only country by country. A gourmet trip in one book...

Looks like a great book.
European cuisine is so diverse already - no need for junk foods from other continents.
I think it would make a great Mother's Day gift.

While the many Swedish recipes present are awesome, they are not properly seasoned. If you buy this book, and you really should, turn immediately to the African recipes. The fufu recipe is to die for. It really shows that the author is from western Africa.
