Typhon and the Chosen have been defeated. A new evil waits in the wings.
Jonny and Hunters for Hire are quickly making a name for themselves in the monster-hunting world.
Life is good but all good things must come to an end. Frankie is about to get a call she feared was coming, a call that alters the trajectory of her relationship with Jonny.
In the meantime, the Court procures Hunters for Hire's services to investigate how the Sphere was broken into and who helped Dr. Frankenstein escape.
If this wasn't enough Jonny uncovers more secrets as to what being a hybrid means to him and a foreboding warning from an Archangel about a war not coming, but already here.
I'm Jonathan, a husband, father, and writer. I write because that's what I was born to do and I love doing it. Because of the support from awesome people like you, I get to do it full-time.
I am really enjoying this series! It is so well written. I love the humor, characters, storylines, everything about the series. This particular book grabbed me by the heartstrings because of one thing that happens, it was really hard for me, it definitely had me crying. Obviously the author has purpose for everything he's written and I cannot wait to read the next book to find out what happens next! I'm really glad that I stumbled across this series because it is worth every minute of reading. It's a step away from some of the other stuff I've been reading lately but it doesn't matter because this is just perfect! I have the Kindle version as well as the audible version and the voice actor that does the audible version is amazing. He does a great job with the series and different character voices and I am so glad that I am able to read and listen to such a phenomenal story/series! Right now I plan to start the next/ last book in the series. I hope that at some point there are definitely more books written in this world.
Human hybrid Johnny and his faithful hellhound Odin are mourning the loss of fellow H4H Evan, fallen in battle with their enemies.
But more pressing matters are at hand, with the unfortunate, (to put it mildly) release of Huldra from her interdimensional prison - possibly by their nemesis Dr Frankenstein, whose escape from the Sphere they're currently hired to investigate.
With Frankie having left and despite new Hunter Casey Grey being recruited as tech developer, resources are still stretched taut.
Can Johnny and Odin recapture Huldra and Dr Frankenstein?

In book 5 H4H are at a crossroad. There first job for the Council sets them on a path that is forged from vengeance, responsibility, love and the sense that they have to take a stand in this world. Jonny even as he discovers his hybrid ability he and his team discover that their world can come crashing down on them which in the end makes them stronger. This fifth book is fast paced and brings the team face to face with their destiny. You will laugh and cry great read.
Yanez is always a great read. It's like running down the stairs. You start and you think you have it under control, only to find out you don't really know squat. HUNTERS FOR HIRE is a great romp full of fun, fear and future. Jonny, our hero as humble as his name, is a charismatic everyman. Chosen for reasons known to only the Eternals, Johnny attracts aid from all directions without seeking or asking. This episode is two separate innovative environments for mayhem and malice with a tear or two for balance.
So yet again Mr Yanez has hit it out of the park ! My nails are a mess as are my emotions!!! Dude! You gotta stop breaking my heart like this I was gripped by book 1 & I'm still loving the series (eager for my next h4h fix already) if you're looking for a good series to curl up with I highly recommend this one... Humour, characters you would want to hang out with, action, mystery & urban fiction/fantasy at its best
I really like Jonny and the other Hunters for Hire. This team, and their relationships, are different from any others I've read about - action, fighting, monsters, teamwork, friendships, good guys, bad guys, "in-between" guys, weapons, tears, victories, losses, hugs, hits, and more. Like the title of this review said, this book - and this series - is a great, fun read! Keep them coming, Jonathan Yanez!
Always hard in a book to fall in love with a character, and, then s/he is gone. Fortunately, in this series, characters can reappear. This is number six and characters are developing, plots are twisting, and yes, "death" comes for some. Mourn, remember, and keep hope alive that they will be reunited. Next book has to wait until tomorrow, but that never hurts.
This storyline just got real! Well, you know what I mean. Be prepared to scream and curse the author, but be assured that this book will change everything for Hunters For Hire. Love, the other hybrid.
I just reread the series before reading book 5 and it's even better the second time!! I have to admit I cried in this one. Not cool Jonathan not cool..... This is a great series I can't wait for the next one!
Wow. I don't cry often when reading a book, but I guess I've become much more attached to these characters than I expected. This book is so good. I like where we are going at the end of this one and I'm looking forward to book six.
This series is an awesome read! Although I didn't like Evan dying. I cried but he is coming back thank you Mr. Yanez!! Getting ready to read book 6. Keep this series coming on!
Like the title of the review says, this has been such a great series so far. I’m sad about what happens to one of the characters, but the ending gives us hope!
I enjoyed this series very much. I didn't care for the death of one of the characters, but I guess it worked out. I hope there will be more books coming out for Hunters for Hire.
