The Omega War #1

Omega Found

Rate this book
The Omega War made every omega the property of the government. Now, my body doesn't belong to me. I need permission to eat, to sleep, to breathe. The only thing I have left is my heart.

But when the Winter pack save me from a dangerous situation... they might take that from me too.

For Harper, joining the Winter pack is a risk, one she doesn’t have a choice in. Being owned by an alpha pack means following the omega creed, a set of laws to prevent omegas from having any influence.

For the Winter pack, Harper is a complication they’re not sure they need. After all, omegas are notorious for manipulating alphas. That’s why they’re under the strict control of the Omega Compound. It’s for the good of society.

But as Harper settles in, it becomes clear that the government have been hiding the truth.

About omegas, and about the mating bond they feel growing every day.

I read once that it’s not power that corrupts. It’s fear. History tells our story differently. But then, history is always written by the winners.

After the Omega War ended many years ago, the government decided that in order to "protect" the omegas and to make sure that they were "well taken care of", every last one of them had to be sent to the Omega Compound as soon as their omega designation showed. The Omega Compound is far from being a good and healthy environment. Omegas are being psychologically and physically abused to keep them under control because it is believed that they are manipulative and that they started the war that cost the lives of many. Poor Harper has been living in this horrible place for the past 7 years, living under the Omega Creed (a set of rules for the omega). Used to a life where omegas have no rights, she is understandably scared and very wary when the Winter pack decides to take her home with them.

I’m starving, but my expectations are low. The slop they serve is never enough to feel full. Enough to keep us alive, maybe. Thriving and healthy? No. Thin and weak is how they prefer to keep us.

The world these omegas live in is dark and depressing. They have no rights and are trained to become perfect sexual slaves for the alphas. Don't be fooled by the cover, this book is full of degradation, humiliation, and abuse. It is not too explicit, but it is dark and angsty.

“No,” I growl at her again, and her head snaps up at the sound of my alpha bark coming out. “I don’t give a fuck about some omega creed. You are not sleeping in a fucking cage and you do not need to kneel in front of me.”

In complete opposition to the Omega Compound, the Winter pack is sweet and caring. Even though they are wary of Harper at first because of the fake information the government has been broadcasting, and because they had a very bad experience with a beta female in the past. They quickly realize though that Harper is no threat, and is far from being the shallow, manipulative, and conniving omega the government wants them to believe she is.

Some of them were happy to welcome an omega in their pack, but others were wary and reluctant to do so, and we can see the change that happens in them, and how Harper won them over. Rogue, Devlen, Ace, and Gabe all have their personality, and I liked to see them interact with Harper. They each had their moments with her, and they also helped her in different ways, complementing each other. There is not much backstory given for the 4 alphas though, so it makes it harder to really care for them, even though they are nice and kind, and each has their personality.

“Our scars show that we survived. That we’re still here, still breathing, still fighting. But if you let your scars define your past, then they’ll stop you from having a future.”

Even though some aspects of this book were quite dark, it was nice to see Harper open herself and enjoy the little pleasures of life. Seeing her getting so excited at the idea of eating normal food, or being allowed to have a blanket, and seeing how she gained confidence and became a ray of sunshine in the alphas' life was cute.

I have to say though, that the relationship aspect of the story dell short for me, not because there was no smut, but because of the timeframe in which it all occurred. The situations Harper and the alphas ended up in felt a little rushed or forced sometimes. It's all explained by the hormonal levels Harper has now that she is with the pack, but I still think that the steamy moments were there too soon. I was expecting her to take her time to get to know the alphas and to be on her guard and wary of her for a while before instigating anything physical/sexual. Even worse is the emotional aspect of the relationships. I would have expected Harper to be wary and to remain on her guard for a while before she allowed herself to truly feel at ease and trust the alphas. She just decided that she felt safe with them and started laughing and having fun with them on her first day in their house. She opened up to them and played therapist with them on what seemed to be her second day, and everything was nice and fine. There was no true adaptation period, and the fact that she trusted them so easily does not fit with the Harper we saw in the first half of the book.

**Upon rereading the book, I noticed that it says at one point that “made so much progress in the last few weeks, with Harper here.” And “But the last few weeks with Harper have felt like we’re in our own bubble, hiding away from the world.” But I truly was under the impression that it had only been a few days, a week at most. So maybe the issue here is not the insta-trust, but rather the pacing and the way it’s written. Still, it feels as though it all happened in the span of a few days, whether it was the author’s intention or no.
There is also one instance where a character talks about something that happened about 45 years ago, but this particular event was also mentioned by a character, but then it couldn’t have happened more than 20 years ago because of his age, so I am confused with the timeline. Are we talking about one event here or two different instances of very similar events?

Legally, I’m not even allowed to own a blanket. I mean, Jeez. What does the government think we’re gonna do, take over the world, one soft furnishing at a time?

The first half of the book did remind me quite a lot of Pack Darling: Part One, but the abuse the main character and the other omegas go through is much worse. The fact that Harper has been living in a special compound and that the alphas she ends up with do not really want her there are similar. Even the pack dynamic is similar to what we see in Pack Darling. The angst-lover in me was happy with this book though, even if it reminded me of the other series, but was not as good.

His words warm me from the inside out. Consent is fucking sexy when you’re an omega and at the mercy of your instincts.

The plot is not the deepest and most developed for sure, this is a character-driven book, not a plot-driven one. Honestly, it's mostly about Harper learning to trust the 4 alphas, and the 5 of them getting to know each other, and not much happened besides that. Despite the plot that was, overall, weak, this book was an addictive quick read.

The second book of this series follows another omega (a friend of Harper) so Harper's story is pretty much concluded at the end of this book and there is no cliffhanger.

This book was super hard for me to rate, it was between a 3 and a 4 for most of the story. Really I landed on a 3.5 because while I thought the story was interesting I felt that it progressed quite slowly and we didn’t see a lot of change throughout the story. In a way, it felt like a prequel to what I hope is a series about overthrowing a fucked up government and society.

I’m going to warn you big time on this book though- it is EXTREMELY depressing. The dystopian world these characters live in is dark. And it’s not dark in a sexy way, it’s dark in an absolutely infuriating way that will make you want to punch your kindle. The existence of the omegas is bleak and there is no change to their status in society by the end of this story. I did not understand from the cover and the trigger warnings how dark this story would end up being. The casual descriptions of degradation, humiliation, torture, medical torture, and sexual assault were definitely not what I was expecting.

I will say that this is an interesting take on omegaverse because it takes those darker and more extreme dystopian themes commonly found in traditional omegaverse stories and combines them with the ‘sweetverse’ style pack dynamics that have been increasingly popular over the last year.

For the most part I found the story to be balanced, although the middle was quite slow. There was very little focus on the side plot and honestly I’m a bit frustrated that we never really figured out what the pack does as a job- I mean we see a mission and we know it’s government related but that’s kinda it. I just wished that more was resolved about the government storyline- I guess that’s the plot line that’s meant to keep us coming back for more though.

So this was just alright for me.

There were a bunch of little continuity errors throughout which annoyed me. Like one instance for example...it was written she was bare (no undies) then a couple paragraphs later it says the H is staring at her lace panties. I also got irritated that the h's actions really didn't line up with someone who's just lived through 7 years of torture and abuse. It was kind of shallow insta-love written off as the mating bond. There were definitely plot points written for the emotional shock value, but I wish instead there would have been more focus on relationship building. Also, too many 2-3 week time jumps.

Just a trigger warning note....this has very dark subject matter. It didn't upset or bother me to affect my rating but there is physical abuse and torture on the page, there is a suicide attempt, and multiple attempted rapes on the h. So be forewarned.

This was a fun read. It had an interesting setup and I liked all the characters but I wish it was more developed. It was pretty insta-love and so we didn’t get a lot of development with the characters. It seemed pretty surface level and we only got one or two moments of Harper and each of the guys. Also, they just discovered how horrible the Compound is and how badly Omegas are being treated but they just acknowledge it and move on. They even have the skills to do something about it but they don’t, they just ride off into the sunset together and never look back. I’m sure it will be dealt with in future books but it didn’t seem like they would just let it go.

I wish they didn’t brush off Harper’s trauma as quickly and easily as they did. They talked about it a bit but considering all she has been through and the little bits we got on how it effected her, I felt it should have played a bigger part. It seemed like it was only present when it was beneficial to the plot and disappeared when it wasn’t.

The third act conflict wasn’t well thought out either. I don’t want to spoil it but it was such a half assed plan and it didn’t seem like the bad guys even tried.

It was a fun omegaverse and had promise but it was just seriously underdeveloped.

This started out with sooo much potential. We had really good world building and exploration of Harper's personality for the first few chapters. However, as soon as she's with the harem, it gets really boring. Boring, too-fast relationships. Boring smut. Boring plot. It's just okay .

It's very much insta-lust, insta-love. The timeline gets wonky - it appeared to just be a few days but at one point we're told it's been weeks (um, where?). Harper gets over her PTSD and "training" almost instantly. Same for Devlin. Ace and Gabe feel like the same person. Also Harper, presumably, is a virgin, but falls into sex like it's riding a bike, with no awkwardness or anything. Cute, but honestly not realistic, and again boring.

While this does not end with a cliffhanger, a lot of things are unresolved. What's really happening at the compound? Will there be change, a revolution? Will the guys keep their jobs? Does Harper have to keep pretending to be "trained" in public? Maybe all of this gets answered in Book 2, but I probably won't continue the series.

Dnfed at 40%. She went from tortured, abused, and being SAd and terrified of men to literally jumping these dudes less than 12 hours after meeting them.

I really dislike when scent matches or mates is an excuse to not develop a relationship. Like she was literally crawling on the floor behind them and terrified of making eye contact and the next day she has an orgasm with one of them. No thank you.

This was a very easy book to read. It had plot components that I enjoy. I wish that Harper's actual trauma was explored a bit more. This book is described as medium-burn but I thought they started having sex quite quickly given what she had been through. This gave me basically what I was expecting with a few issues along the way. If you're looking for a omegaverse RH, this is a decent one.

4.5/5 ⭐️ • 4/5 🔥

The Omega Compound is hell on earth for omegas. Harper who was awakened as an omega at the early age of fourteen has been living in that hell seven years.

When Harper finds herself in the hands of the Winter Pack she’s skeptical, scared, but also curious. Harper is a survivor and her story reflects that. She has a strong spirit and I loved her.

“If they all smell as good as these two, I might actually be tempted to roll over and play ‘hide the knot’.”

I also loved the Winter Pack. Devlin, Gabe, Ace, and Rogue are amazing. Their tough exterior cracks away as the story goes on and their sweet sides made me swoon.

Devlin stole the show for me. He was protective and sweet and knew what he was doing, ahem 😏

I can’t wait for the next book following Harper’s friend, Ava!

Wow. This had a much darker vibe than I was expecting.
The abuse, the trauma, the governmental oppression, it was a lot.
I did really love the way the pack treats Harper though. They really try to help her heal and grow from her trauma, and in doing so help themselves along the way. It’s nice.

I will say, the ending was a little rushed and sort of unsatisfying. Mainly because only the immediate danger was taken care of. No other answers were found, and nothing else was resolved. I mean, I understand, most of the problems in this universe stem from governmental oppression, so I didn’t really think they’d be overthrowing the whole damn government in these couple hundred pages, but, you know. I did want some more answers to what they were gonna do so that they could live in peace the way they want to.

Also, I just didn’t feel like all the guys got equal ‘screen’ time, if you will.
I can’t explain it properly, cause I think we did get some time with all of them, I’m just not sure the time was equal…does that make sense?
I don’t know.

It was hot, it was sad, it was dangerous. It was dark. If you have any triggers at all, I would check the warnings before proceeding, or even just skipping this one. There was a lot of abuse. Omegas in this one have less rights than dogs. It’s intense.

I’m still deciding whether or not I’ll read the next book. I liked this one, and I want more answers, but I’m not sure what my mood will be like by the time I get to it. I have to be in the mood for this much angst and sadness.

Timeline is all over the place. Poorly written/planned out. She overcomes 7 years of trauma in like 1 month? or maybe it's two weeks. Honestly can't tell timeline was that bad. At one point she kneels with other omega's on rice, spends two weeks in torture, comes back and says "Just this morning was kneeling on rice" what? What a bloody mess this was and that's not the only time the timeline just didn't match. It's honestly not worth the read. Nothing we haven't read before in the omegaverse.

This book/series has potential. Exploring her trauma and ptsd in a more realistic way would’ve bumped this to a higher rating. As is, she falls into normal way too fast. The timeline was confusing. A couple days? Yet her skin is flawless with healed scars after 2 weeks of being beaten and tortured?

The plot could’ve been amazing. It’s giving handmaid tale vibes. Unfortunately, it’s undeveloped with nothing really happening. Hopefully explored more in future books.

The Omega War Series
This series is set in a very dark world. So many trigger warnings: abuse, rape, molestation, graphic violence against women. I still haven’t decided if I believe it was necessary to make the world so dark in order to show the contrast of what real love and affection are, but the series was compelling.

Omega Found: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This has a super dark beginning and there is so much abuse that the FMC suffers before she meets her pack. However, the pack themselves are just a bunch of cinnamon rolls.

Omega Lost: DNF
This book opens with the FMC unconscious and pregnant. Her body having been used and abused by so many that she didn’t even get the choice in being pregnant. I couldn’t handle this premise and chose to skip it.

Omega Fallen: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Omega Creed has fallen and omegas are free now to live their own lives, but that doesn’t mean the prejudice is gone. Gabrielle (a young omega we meet in Found) just wants to find a job and be free, but it’s really difficult in this world. The pack she meets is so loving. Loved the development in this one.

Twisted

A lot of trigger warnings here! This world is completely twisted, insane, and very dark. It's the most upsetting OV I ever read, so be careful.

In this world, omegas are being under total Government control. They try to annihilate their instinct and what they are. Omegas are used as surrogates and put in total submission, physically and mentally abused😔

Harper is an omega who is under Government control since she was 14 (she's now 21). Because she isn't the perfectly obedient omega, the compound where she's being held try a new program to subdue her (well, they tortured her). Then totally by luck, she's been given to a pack...

I rated this book 3 stars because Harper's story is sad, twisted, and horrifying. As much as I like reading about broken FMC, this one is too much for me. Even at the end, I don't feel much hope for her future😢 And the worse is to come with the next book about Harper's friend, Ava😔 The author said herself that it would be darker and more twisted...I'm not sure I will read it...

This book had potential. I was really excited for this plot and enjoyed it until about 40% when she met the men. Every interaction between them all was cringey. Too insta love.

I am so tired of omega books portraying a broken tortured woman and not follow through with the reality of what that means. No woman who’s been starved and beaten for the last seven years is going to dry hump the first man that gives her comfort. No woman is going to trust a group of men simply because they smell good. She got over her conditioning way too quickly and because physical too soon for a trauma victim. It was all just glossed over because they smell good and feed her food.

The A B O designations are similar to the wolf dynamics only human. So I imagine she would be like an abused dog. She was shy and demure but not in a way that was consistent with ptsd.

I have read so many omegaverses. I told myself I was going to give this a chance because it was written well and the plot had potential, but I just can’t get over the inaccuracies.

So I’m DNFing.

Poorly handled trauma

I really wanted to like this book. But there isn’t any amount of instinct that’s going to override 7 years of abuse. The lack of care her first night with the pack. One guy grinning at her like an idiot while she’s in ripped up clothes and covered in bruises. Like where is the empathy. She’s so hungry and weak she passes out but they don’t feed her? Her behavior only affected occasionally by fear. Eating chocolate and popcorn for the first time in 7 years and not getting sick. Bruised all over the place and everyone still wants to be intimate.

It read like the author wanted to creat this horrible situation with abuse and torture. But then gloss right over like it mostly didn’t really happen. The lack of education of what victims really behave like was really bad. This book is a real disservice to victims of abuse.

Well that was depressing..... 3.5⭐

From the blurb and the trigger warnings listed in said blurb, you can tell that the book will be covering some pretty heavy stuff. Heck even the first chapter is depressing AF. However, somehow I didn't expect the heavy stuff to be there almost ALL THE FREAKING TIME.
I'm kinda used to books where the bad stuff happens in the beginning and then we move on to happier times. In this you'd get a few happy pages where they trick you that things will be okay now and then you'd be thrown head first into the shitty stuff. Whiplash anyone?

Anyway I feel like someone should include MORE trigger warnings including, slavery, sexual slavery, sexual assault (albeit off-page and not to the MC) and torture

You don’t read because you don’t have a life. You read because you choose to have many. And there’s nothing wrong with that.”

I want to start off by saying I can’t believe that this is Evelyn’s debut novel! I never would have guessed it! This book was beautifully written and had me emotional through the whole thing! I’m so glad that I got the pleasure of reading this ARC!

Omega found is book 1 in The Omega Wars series. In this book Harper is our omega that is living in at the Omega Compound…where all omegas are forced to live. It is believed that omegas were manipulative and began the omega war. After the war the omegas were captured and put into the compound and they had to obey new rules…The Omega Creed. Basically they were considered trash and were abused to keep them under control.

The Winter pack, Rogue, Devlin, Gabe and Ace, have been hurt by a female beta in the past but have decided to bring in an omega female because they knew their pack was falling apart without a female.

As said previously, this book took me on an emotional roller coaster! I was mad, sad, anxious and just hurt for these characters. There is angst, betrayal, secrets, redemption and of course spice in this book and in the end an HEA. If you enjoy reading omegaverse then you will love this book! I can’t wait for book two and see where Ava’s journey takes us!

I wasn’t sure what to expect with Omega Found. I was pleasantly surprised with how the story pulled me in - I could not put it down. The world building was intriguing. Omegas are rare and treated horribly. They are kept in a compound and “trained”. Much like real life, the circumstances surrounding all the changes are skewed to fit someone else’s agenda. The overall history of how things really happened is briefly addressed in this story. It does leave a lot of questions though!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Harper’s story is heartbreaking. It’s always hard to read inhumane treatment - especially for no legit reason. Harper is a survivor though. She has a strong spirit. When she is given (yup like a present) to the Winter pack, things start looking up for her. Rogue, Devlin, Ace and Gabe are the sweetest! My favorite is Devlin - such a tough exterior but when he cracked, it was beautiful.

I’m really looking forward to revisiting this world for Ava’s story.

Great debut book by this author 😊.

This new omega verse world is dismal for the omegas and everything Harper has been through since she became an omega at 14 and was dumped at the omega compound is awful.

The Winter pack has been growing apart. Harper is just what they needed to heal their rift and they to bring back hope into her life.

There are unanswered questions at the end of the book but I believe Ava’s book which is the next book carry on with the plot.

Booking 2 coming up

I love, love, love this book! From Harper who has so much strength to survive as an Omega, when society has shunned omegas for decades and locked them away, to her four alphas, Rogue, Devlin, Ace and Gabe.

I love the backstories from how Devlin came to be leery of Omegas to how Gabe came to have his scar. Harper overcomes so much and is so mentally strong she helps heal the pack so they are able to fall in love with her and be there for Harper to save her when something untoward occurs.

We’re introduced to other characters who I have a feeling we’ll see in future books…and I am here for it!!

I've read a lot of omegaverse romance that have been amazing , and I was hoping with all of the hype it would be up there with the best. Unfortunately go me it was missing something. The bones were there for a great story, but fell short for me. The characters were good, but the sexual situations were rushed and way too soon IMO. The alpha characters were way too sweet and cringe, and just not masculine enough. Alpha men can be sweet, but they never say things like, you undo me. The sex scenes were too flowery for my liking, and I skimmed a lot. Overall not bad, but felt rushed.

This just really wasn't for me. I thought the writing was good and there was clearly some thought put into the overall war/conspiracy, but there were too many inconsistencies for me to fully enjoy it.

*first off, this just straight up felt like awful torture porn at times. YES I read the trigger warnings. I am fine with these topics; my issue came with how the MC NEVER got a chance to fight back at all. She never was able to get any kind of revenge. That didn't sit well with me.

I'm not sure if it is emphasized that the MC was a particularly bad student to explain why she is still overall pretty functional (to show that the conditioning did not take hold).

*The MC and the guys only worry about omegas they personally know or have a connection to. Mainly Ivy, Ava, Gabby, and that other teen omega. There is never any thought or conversation about the other omega, nor is any plan formed to help them. The guys are supposed to be some sort of special ops team from the government and have all of this training- they really can't rescue anyone? Discuss anything? Set up a safe house? This point is also crucial to my first point of the needless violence without any resolution gained.

*this is more of a personal issue- the omegas and alphas here are depicted as much more animalistic and driven by their instincts. I was surprised at how little control any of the characters had. Constant whimpers, growls, etc.

*I would have liked to see more worldbuilding. The war had a dystopian feel, but clearly regular parts of life (grocery store, creature comforts, cars, etc.) are still around. The "government" is spoken about very vaguely. Somehow the director of the omega sanctuary doesn't have much power; somehow he is at the mercy of some dumbass lackey guard bc the guard's dad is on the Board. But somehow the Director is still able to fire the guard. I think that it would have helped if the MC wasn't rushed out of the sanctuary so quickly- there is more torture shown there than there is worldbuilding and background for her daily life. Even the best friend, Ava, is BARELY mentioned, and she is supposed to be the main character of the next book.

*not a lot of difference between the male characters. We are told some differences, but they are not clearly shown.

The couple: Harper/Rogue/Devlin/Ace/Gabe

Romance genre: omegaverse
Series: The Omega War
Length: 322 pages

Plot: Harper is an omega, and in this new world, that is not a good thing. Omegas are blamed for the last war, and because of that, are sent to a training center as soon as they present as omega. At the training center, they learn to abide by the rules - whenever there's an alpha around, they must kneel; few clothes, specific bland foods, restraints/cages as necessary - basically, they are locked down and subjugated. Harper has come to someone's attention though and is shoved into a special reeducation program that is a front for horrible abuse. Just in time, the Winter pack comes in to save her, even if they didn't realize that's what they were doing. But their enemies are not content to let them be happy.

Commentary: I liked this take on omegaverse. The heroine was strong, but not the kicka$$ alpha female that I dislike. There was a variety amongst the heroes, and there was also a previous relationship established within the pack. I liked that she was able to create bonds with each other separately and together. I really want the second book now!

Grammar/formatting: some misspellings/typos (needed another quick pass of editing)

Next book in the series: Omega Lost

Omega Found (The Omega War 1) by Evelyn Flood

During the omega wars the government decides that all omegas, bonded or not, was to report to the Omega Compound to keep them “safe” and to “protect” others from their “manipulations.” Although omegas are rare the goal of the OC is to make “good” omegas.

Harper is our MFC who awakened at 14 years old and has been trying to survive the OC ever since. Despite all she endures she continues to care about others. While trying to protect a friend from being abused she is entered into the Phoenix Trials. The goal of the Phoenix Trials is enhanced training that by the end should remove the last of her autonomy.

Luckily, Harper is selected for the Winter Pack on a trial basis. There are some concerns with the pack of having an omega due to past histories that is quickly resolved. The pack is wonderful and come to adore their omega.

Harper will both break and touch your heart as she learns her worth as an omega and a human being.

This is an excellent story and is on my favorite omega reading list.

I cried a lot during that book 😂😂. I LOVED it😍. I didn't want the book to end 😭😂. I absolutely love books that bring out emotions in me! This book has a dark and twisted theme about it, but inside of the harem, there is no bullying, which I loved. I stayed up REALLY late to read this book because I was so excited to read it. I tried not to read too much of the teasers because I wanted to wait until the book was ready. I have to say, for me, this was definitely a different take on Omegaverse, and I really liked that.

I am so glad that I read this book. This is the first book in Evelyn Flood’s series of Omega Wars, and it sure did not disappoint. I absolutely loved the dynamic between the members of Harper’s pack. I thought they all fit really well together. I think one of my favorite things about this book is how Devlin becomes softer over time with Harper. I really enjoyed the steam that Evelyn brought to the book, and it was just enough. This book is very suspenseful, and it does have triggers, but it is warned at the beginning, be sure to check those out before reading.

I can’t wait for the next book in the Omega War series. I am looking forward to reading book two and seeing where Evelyn Flood is going to take the series! Evelyn Flood, thank you for the AMAZING read! I can definitely say this will be a reread!

“You’re a dreamer, Harper.”

This Omegaverse is like none of the others I’ve read before it. In this one the Omegas aren’t to be loved or even treated remotely human. It was refreshing to read an Omegaverse that was completely opposite of what I’ve read in the past.

“Let me fight some of those monsters for you.”

When Betas start to be unable to conceive they place the blame on Omegas as they are the only ones conceiving thus creating the Omega Compound. There ideas are to creat the perfect Omegas - they treat them as if they truly are animals and not as human beings. They and their alphas are to follow the Omega creed or the alphas risk losing their Omega being taken from them.

Evelyn is GENUIS with thinking something as creative as the Omega Creed because it really adds to the uniqueness of this book. She absolutely gives you a different story compared to all of the different Omegaverses out there. This one is truly a gem and I loved everything about it!

I enjoyed this book, but the abuse poor Harper went through at the OC was awful.

There was one point that I was genuinely fighting tears because of what she had been through and how it affected her.

I loved how well the guys treated her in comparison to how she had previously been treated, and how protective and growly they got whenever they OC were brought up.

Personally I would have liked to have seen more of the relationship between Ace and Gabe, but I was still glad they worked through their stuff all the same.

I think I would have liked to have seen a bit more of the pack after the truth was outed about Omega history - how Harper dealt with everything and how Devlin coped with the truth about what happened to his parents.

This is such a fantastic story! I love Harper. Even though she has been through hell for seven years, she has managed to retain the spark of her personality, her individuality. She still has obvious trauma responses when triggered, and those who have experienced abuse will relate.

Rogue and the Winter Pack have been through traumatic events of their own, which makes them ideally suited to understand Harper. There are misunderstandings and miscommunications but they try to help her to feel safe and comfortable, and I enjoyed the little touches that they each put in, like offering her foods that she hasn’t been allowed to eat, making sure she has comfy blankets, and paying close attention to how she reacts to their tones and emotions.

This story is the best kind of heartbreaking, an absolute tearjerker, and I couldn’t put it down. The spice level was excellent, the romance was lovely, and I can’t wait to read more form this author!

This book is the first one by this author - and holy hell is it good! It’s omegaverse, and so well done. I loved the nesting especially!

It’s multi-pov, which I always prefer.

I loved that the fMC and mMC’s had such an instant connection, and although one of them is very stand-offish and unsure at first, he quickly comes around. Harper is soooo cute and it’s sooo good to see her finally getting the love she needs.

I fell in love with these characters and I really wished the book would never end 😝

There are a couple of triggers, so be sure to check them if you need!
