This is the only Spanish American war / China Marine book I have seen, I listened to this as an audio book and I think it had some production issues with a full cast. I could hear the different recording with some narrators. The story is good and not many people have written for this era. If you have an interest with the time it is worth it.

The battle scenes were intense and interesting. The dialog was stilted and forced. This may have been another book that was better in print than audio.

This book on audio is narrated by a full cast, and a great listen. I keep this book on my itouch all the time, sometimes I use it in place of music, the familiar sounds and story line never get old.
