Jason I never gave much thought into whether soul mates exist. That is until I saw her for the first time. Well, her picture anyway. When I opened the new match on the dating app, my whole world stopped. It isn't my match though. I'm borrowing my friend Blaine's phone since I dropped mine in the lake. I can't resist reaching out though, and now we have a bet whether or not she can get a second date with Blaine. I promised I'd help, but can I really keep my word when I want her for myself?
Sloane My friend, Harley, made me download a dating app after I hooked up with the douche from work in a shameful attempt to get over the guy who ghosted me. When Jason offers to give me dating advice, I agree, but what started out as a playful bet, turns into a whole mess when I realize I'm more interested in Jason than Blaine. I have to protect my heart though. I can't give it away to someone who isn't going to pursue me.
Book 2 in the Bitter series but can be read as a standalone.
"He doesn't break eye contact as he smiles back, but then his eyes fall down to my mouth. Somehow he moved closer to me without me noticing. He's so close that I can hear his breathing, or maybe I can only feel it."
Jason and Sloane are sizzling HOT 🔥 in this second book in the Bitter series.
Whilst we first met Jason in Reed and Wren's story, Matched by T.L. Quinn is allll about Jason and Sloane.
When Jason ends up borrowing his co-worker Blaine's phone for a day, he ends up texting with Sloane, who has matched with Blaine on a dating app. What starts out as a fun bet quickly becomes something more, when Jason and Sloane start to realise that maybe they would have been the perfect match instead...
Jaded in love, Sloane gets talked into signing up to a dating app by her best friend. Jason has borrowed a friend’s old phone until his new one arrives-and notices he has a message on the dating app. Curious he opens it, and is struck by the picture of the woman (Sloane). Jason knows he should just let things be & give the phone back to Blaine, but he can’t get Sloane’s image out of his head, so he strikes up a conversation with her offering assistance with her pursuit of Blaine.
Only thing- Jason’s attraction to Sloane increases the more he interacts with her. Can Sloan resist Jason when he’s proving irresistible?
When you read TL Quinn’s writing there’s an underlying positivity to her stories that permeates through the characters. They have an aura of empowerment or perhaps confidence which is so appealing. It’s really refreshing to read about people who are confident within themselves.
The next thing you notice is the big smile you have on your face with the banter between the characters. It’s flirty, fun and engaging. Even when there are moments of angst you are totally absorbed in the moment.
Then the love scenes- they are hot, explicit and full of all the feels.
Matched can be read as a standalone with appearances of some characters from Bitter- which was lovely to see a bit of follow on from that story.
This book was so adorable! The antics Sloane and Jason got into! The burn was definitely slow and drove me nuts! But once they finally got their lives together, it was fire!
Jason has never believed that soulmates could exist, but all of that flies out the window when he first sees Sloane - or at least, her picture. Sloane matched with his friend Blaine on a dating app, and before he can stop himself, he sends her a message.
One thing turns into another, and Jason finds himself seriously falling for her. But he’s afraid of getting hurt again (and breaking the bro code,) and Sloane refuses to put her heart on the line for someone who won’t do the same. Can these two find their own happily ever after?
Oh my gosh, yes. This is my second T.L. Quinn book and I loved it just as much as I loved the first one in the series, “Bitter.” Jason and Sloane’s story captured my attention from the very first page, and I absolutely adored how it all played out. It was fun and steamy, with that perfect amount of angst.
Jason. I didn’t realize how much I was going to love him! Jason is cocky for sure, but he’s also sweet and kind, and has very real and deep feelings. Sloane. Can I be her? She’s gorgeous, confident, and sassy, and I love that about her. I admire the fact that she knows what she wants and won’t settle for less. 5 steamy stars!!!
Wow! T.L. Quinn has done it once again! Perfect slow burn…. Then BAM all the spicy 🌶. Jason borrows a friends extra phone while he waits for his new one, this friend has a dating app and he notices a notification and takes advantage of that…. He exchanges number with a girl and what happens after that 🤔🥵 Lots of sexual tension in the beginning… I couldn’t stop reading…. Pre-order you won’t be disappointed! Book will be released February 15!! This is book 2 in the series! I received this as a ARC in exchange for a honest review!
I received an arc for Matched and below is my honest review.
I've read quite a few of TL Quinn's books, and I love them to death. Like, literally. They are hilarious, witty, and written so damn well, I haven't laughed out loud in a book for a while!
Matched is the second book in the Bitter series, where Jason, best friend of Reed, drops his phone in the lake, leaving him with no phone for a few days. Blaine, his "work-friend" lends him his spare phone, however unknowingly hadn't signed out of the dating app. Much to Jason's surprise, Sloane matches with Blaine, however Jason sees the match first and is curious as to why Sloane matched with Blaine. After a little banter back and forth, Jason agrees to help Sloane on her "dates" with Blaine, in the meantime trying to hold back the connection building between the two. Will Jason be able to get out of this mess without messing up both his friendship with Blaine and his feelings toward Sloane?
Written beautifully, with some definite laugh out loud moments, steamy scenes, great character development, plot and the perfect flow on from Bitter (Wren and Reed make a few appearances), I can't wait to see what's in store for TL Quinn's next book.
This is a perfect cosy evening read, also great if on valentines you were disappointed, you have this little read to fall back on on the 15th 😂
Jason is friends with Wren and Reed, whom we met in the book ‘Bitter’. He is unlucky with love after suffering a heartbreak which he can’t seem to get over. He ends up boring a phone from a friend from work as his got broken, his friend, Blaine, left himself logged into a dating app called ‘matched’. When an attractive girl matches with Blaine, Jason can’t help himself. He messages her and asks why on earth she’d like Blaine? And let the banter begin between the two.
I really loved the Jason and Sloane, I felt like smashing their heads together on several occasions. But I still loved them. The spice and lust in this story reminds me so much of the heat from T’s ‘Room 452’. Which if you haven’t read, go and read now! It’s freaking hot!! 🥵
I will definitely be buying this book in physical copy when it is released. Now, could I have my own Jason? (Just don’t tell the husband 😉)
Jason and Sloane meet in an unconditional way that has them becoming text friends but with a heavy dose of flirty banter. Jason’s phone decides to take a swim in the lake and his office friend loans him his old phone until he can get a new one. Little does Jason know that there is a dating app still active for his friend and when he sees a notification he can’t help be a little nosy. He swipes on the profile and is blown away by Sloane,he decides to message her as himself. Their chemistry is off the charts and their connection is instant but she’s already accepted a date from Blaine the work friend so Jason steps back but can’t control his feelings. He is mixed up and wanting to be the good guy but he can’t resist the pull he feels for Sloane. This couple will give you whiplash but what’s a love story without a little angst, drama and confusion at one time or another. Jason and Sloane will have you laughing, gritting your teeth and rooting for their love story to end with a HEA.
I loved reading this book so much. It brought a new way of looking at dating apps. The way this relationship played out was magical and I can't wait to read more amazing books from this author🥰
Jason and Sloane's story is everything ! I absolutely loved it! Hands down 5 stars!!! Their dynamic is crazy and their chemistry is mind blowing !! Definitely can't wait to see what happens next!!!! Run dont walk!
I always just feel at ease and right with the world after reading @t.l.quinn's books. I feel like I go through so many emotions when I read her books. I think one of the things I like most about her books is how freaking relatable the characters are. It's like escaping yet being grounded. You really can do no wrong by reading anything she has written. 💕
I don't think I've ever read something from her that I didn't like. She knows how to craft her stories in a way that they will captivate you and not let go of you. Amazing!
Let's talk about this story though! I loved the concept. The idea behind this book. Having a dating app bring together two characters. It's something that happens frequently in real life but you don't see it very often in books.
What I liked even more is that the author took took it up a notch. What I mean? The main hero was not the person who was actually matched with the main heroine in that app. It was his friend. And what started as "I'm gonna help you date my friend" progressed as "what the hell am I doing? I want her for myself".
Sounds a bit confusing? Well..Jason, the main hero, borrows Blaine's phone for a bit because his decided to go for a swim. So while he has Blaine's phone happens the "match" in that app with Sloane. In the beginning he talks to her from his friend's profile but immediately he tells her that he's not Blaine but his friend Jason. And I appreciated that. After that though things get messy.
Let's just say that Sloane dates Blaine but she wants Jason. And Jason wants her. But it's Blaine in the middle and that alone is cock blocking for them.
Tough shit friends. I just wanted them to go for it! I mean..their passion? The sexual frustration? MY GOD. I don't know if i could handle anymore "I want you but it is wrong".
Just F U C K people. 🔥
Usually when we read sex scenes the women cum too fast. What is usually needed is just some dominating words from the hero. Unrealistic as fuck if you ask me. This book though was different. The hero had to literally "fight" for his woman's orgasm. He was begging her to tell him what else she needed to cum because he was almost there and couldn't hold on anymore. I fucking loved that. For once it is showed that it is not a magic button that you just press.. it's something that you "build".
And that is why I love reading this author. She always gives me something new and her ideas are well executed. If you don't have this book in your tbr list, you need to add it there ASAP. ♥️
Thank you to T.L. Quinn for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review!
How about we talk about the abs on the cover model? I mean, WOW and that's exactly what I pictured Jason looking like throughout this book.
This series is quickly becoming my favorite series to read when I want something I can devour in one sitting. Coming into the book, I had high hopes since I liked Bitter so much and T.L. Quinn delivered yet another great book! It was quick, spicy and I loved that it all started with an accidental message.
Jason was such a great character in the first book and I was excited to see he would be the hero in this new book. I wanted to smack him a couple of times throughout the book, but he definitely delivered some swoon worthy moves and LAWD he has a dirty mind and mouth. Sloane was such a spitfire and flirt, I loved it! Her flirty personality just drove Jason wild and had me smiling while reading.
My absolute favorite part of this story comes with a nostalgic feeling, I won't ruin it, but I was taken back to middle school and high school when I couldn't calm my body down enough to just sit and talk to someone. Pacing seemed to be the only way to get through talking to my crush. Such a great addition to this love story.
This is a standalone novel, but I highly recommend you start with Bitter since we do get to see some of our favorite characters from that book. I can't wait to read about Harley and her love interest!
I received an arc for Matched and below is my honest review.
This is the first book I have read of TL. Quinn and omg I love it so dam much. It was so well written with the right amount of wittyness it had me laughing and giggling the whole way through. Thou there are definitely steamy scenes inside, great character development, plot and the perfect flow that has you wanting to keep.
Matched is Book 2 in the Bitter series but can be read as a standalone.
Jason I never gave much thought into whether soul mates exist. That is until I saw her for the first time. Well, her picture anyway. I can't wait to see what's in store for TL Quinn's next book.
T.L. Quinn never misses! Matched is a brilliant forbidden romance, full of humour, steam and love. While Bitter was primarily written in single pov from the FMC, we were given dual povs in Matched. I love this writing style because I get to see things from both MC and it makes me enjoy the story even more.
Matched picked up where Bitter left off, at Wren and Reed’s wedding. Their best friend Jason accidentally dropped his phone in the lake and his co-worker Blaine offered him his old phone to use for a couple of days. When Jason saw a notification from the dating app, he was drawn to the girl Blaine matched with, Sloane. They started chatting and they instantly clicked. I love the banter, the flirting and the sexting. It was so much fun reading their convos and reactions.
Sloane is sexy, bold, sassy and I appreciate her for going after what she wants. Jason is an absolute sweetheart and I love when he gets all possessive and dominating (in bed). They were obviously attracted to one another, however, they were not very forthcoming with their feelings having been scarred by their past relationships. The sexual chemistry is palpable and I just want them to get on with it. The push and pull drove me insane. It took them some time to figure things out and when they did, my heart was full. The lengths Jason went to prove his love for Sloane melted my heart.
As always, T.L. Quinn does not only deliver on the emotions but also on the smut. It is intense, hot and spicy. On a side note, I adore Harley’s character and I’m super excited to see where things go between her and the doctor. Highly recommend Matched to anyone who is looking for a fun, sweet and steamy read!
Jason's day was going alright until his phone fell in a lake. Blaine, his playboy coworker, gave him his old phone to use until Jason could get a new one. That's when thr perfect coincidence happened. Blane forgot to sign out of him dating app before giving Jason it. Now Jason is talking to the girl Blaine had matched with and he somehow found himself making a bet with her. He said he was sure no girl could keep Blaine's attention for long, even if they had inside help. That's how Jason found himself giving a random girl tips on how to score with his friend. He was just suppose to win a bet though, not catch feelings. Now he got himself in a tough situation. He's helping the girl he has feelings for, to get another guy, a guy who happens to be a friend.
Jason and Sloane knew how to get me worked up. I wasn't sure who I wanted to strangle more. Seeing the chemistry between the characters was amazing. Let's talk about that cover ad well 👀. I don't usually like shirtless men on covers, BUT LOOK AT THOSE ABS! Jason's and his dirty mouth! I need me a guy with Jason's dirty mouth, veiny hands and rock hard abs. ALSO, CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT HOW CREATIVE T.L. QUINN IS?! Her plots are always something I haven't seen before, or much of.
Matched was such a steamy, intense read! It's one of those stories you keep reading because you can't wait to see what's next. I absolutely loved Jason and Sloane and the fire-hot chemistry that appeared the minute they started texting each other. From their conversations (still via text) I could tell they belonged together and I was interested in seeing how it would all work out. Of course, there were several roadblocks, like Jason's fear of commitment and Sloane wanting to stay away from guys who aren't ready to settle down. The third roadblock? Well, you should read the story to find out what it is, but it definitely triggered the forbidden theme that made the story so hot! I loved how Jason faced his fears when he realized he was about to lose Sloane. And the way he proved how much he wanted her was so heartwarming. This steamy love story is definitely worth a read!
I received an advanced copy of this story and I'm leaving my honest review.
Matched is the next book after Bitter. Matched was even better than Bitter. I found this one had a lot more humour in it and I loved that. Jason is loveable, right from the beginning. Sloane is a fierce, headstrong woman. They’re was a lot of push and pull between the two of them and loads of sexual tension that kept me wanting to scream at them to get their crap together and love each other 🤣
The book is steamy, but we don’t get to the actual sex scene until well into the book but don’t worry the first half of the book is loaded with sexual situations, scorching hot sexual tension and dirty solo scenes 🥵. The actual sex scenes are really freaking hot.
The book ends with a super sweet HEA ❤️
Make sure to check out this book when it drops on February 15th!
* I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review *
Review: I received an ARC of this book! I absolutely loved this book! It was spicy, had a good storyline, character development, and was easy to read. I read this book in pretty much one sitting.
This book follows Jason and Sloane. Sloane matches with Blaine in a dating all who is Jason’s friend. Jason is borrowing Blaine’s phone because his broke and he sees the match with Sloane on the dating app and it started as Jason helping Sloane have a chance with Blaine. Jason is pretty much Sloane‘s dating coach and is helping her “win” over Blaine. They have amazing banter right off the bat and I just love it. It is more of a slow burn but I really enjoyed it because once they hit it off it was amazing. The spicy scenes were really good 🔥.
Highly recommend reading this book! It was worth the read! Also check out some of her other books they are also amazing as well! This book comes out February 15!
OMG! I loved this book! I had so much fun with it! Sloane downloads a dating app and, in a misunderstanding, ends up talking to Jason, who borrowed his friend’s phone after his fell into the lake. Jason promises to help Sloane win Blaine over, and boy, the fun begins!
Jason is hilarious, and with one look at her picture, he falls head over heels for Sloane, though he doesn’t admit it to himself. Sloane is a firecracker who’s tired of love games. She wants someone reliable who gives her security, and she thinks she’s found that in Blaine.
I loved both characters, and their text messages cracked me up! Their banter had me rooting for them from page one. The book is a delicious slow-burn, fast-paced, and steamy. Their undeniable chemistry, along with their banter, made it perfect. Matched is a standalone and book 2 in the Bitter series. I didn’t just read the book; I devoured it!
Dang you T.L. Quinn!!! I really should learn my lesson to not start a book so late at night….I guess you probably can guess who stayed up way too late finishing this in one go?! This lady!!! Gah!!! With the little steamy as sin teases, witty banter, back and forth, up and down between Sloane and Jason, I just couldn’t put it down! And don’t even get me started on the texts and sexting scenes….HOT!! I was also starting to sort of like Blaine but was just waiting for his true colors to show up. Even with the crash and burn scene he still ended up being a decent guy about everything.
So glad this ended with a HEA and an epilogue! I would normally say a HFN but with the epilogue ending, it’s totally a HEA!
The tension between Jason and Sloane is addicting, but does get old after a bit and makes you want to yell at them to admit their feelings and let’s move on. This is the only reason for the 4 stars.
After Jason had a mishap with his personal phone and had to borrow a co-worker’s old phone, he discovers that his co-worker hasn’t signed out of his dating app. Enter Sloane who thinks she chatting with the “match” from the app. Both carry on easily between each other and chemistry is noted quickly. But things turn south when neither is honest about their feelings for the other and they set out on a seesaw emotional trip, taking the reader right along with them.
I recommend this book as a quick, cute read with some extra spicy scenes on top.
I love how these characters met! Such a different take on romance.
Sloane is going through a rough patch with dating and decides to sign up on a dating app. Jason accidentally breaks his phone so he has to borrow his friends phone. He receives a message from a dating app. It’s Sloane!
He tells her that he is not the one she messaged because he is borrowing a phone. They end up exchanging numbers and chatting though text. Jason agrees to give Sloane tips about dating his friend (the original person she messaged).
There’s no way this can go wrong, right?
I could feel the tension and frustration from Jason. And Sloane just feels like she’ll never get her happy ending. I’m so glad these 2 found each other!
This can be read as a standalone but is connected to Bitter. This story follows a serial dater Jason, who got his heart-broken in Collage and hasn't been serious with a girl since, that is until his curiosity gets the better off him.
I absolutely love Sloane, her smart mouth is addictive. Especially while in text form 🤣 Thought Blaine was abit of a dirty dog at the beginning but he may have grown on me a little.
The pull between Jason & Sloane is so intense, I found myself holding my breath alot, not knowing what they would do, or how they would take it. They Josh seem to have a problem sharing there true feelings without messing it up. Even better than the one before
Matched starts with an innocent curiosity, a borrowed phone, a match on a dating app for the lender, and a message sent from the borrower of the phone, Jason.
Jason started an innocent conversation with a new match, Sloane, on his friend's dating app. What started out as banter and a bet between Jason and Sloane about her getting a second date with his friend, steamed right up into some hot conversations.
This forbidden lovers romance had me hooked by the first chapter, with a slow burn and some strong lusting. It's a great smutty read for all the smut lovers out there. After finishing it in one day, I'm excited to read the third installment in this series! Take As Needed releases August 15!
Matched is book #2 in the Bitter series but is a standalone book. Jason and Sloane are both looking for someone but when Jason loses his phone in water, his friend Blaine gives him an old one to use. Little does Jason know that a dating app is installed and active on the phone...AND enter Sloane. She swiped right and matched with Blaine but Jason sees her picture and has to reach out. Jason is honest and promises to help Sloane. They end up making a bet as to whether or not Sloane can get a 2nd date with Blaine. The banter between Jason and Sloane is hilarious and the story that unfolds has angst, steam, and so much flirting. I absolutely loved this book. It had a little bit of everything.
What a refreshingly adorable book! Their antics left me rolling my eyes and giggling to myself - especially when it came to fighting their feelings. It’s short and sweet, with some really well written spice and plenty of twists and turns to keep you entertained. It’s a lot better than some of the other sweet romance books I’ve read.
Jason is emotionally mature, and Sloane clearly knows what she’s feeling. They’re both adults, and along with being an adult and having a career, there’s plenty of emotional baggage and past breakups to cause them to question themselves and each other.
The premise is ADORABLE. Meeting online by accident? The sexy hands? I mean, come on. It’s just too cure for words.
If you want to smile and get the nice fuzzy rom-com feeling, this is definitely for you. Loved it!!
Oh my this lust triangle will take you on a wild ride. Jason, you may remember him from his antics in Bitter as a friend of Reed, well he ends up borrowing a phone from a co-worker when his in not working. Seeing a match on a dating site pop up he gets a great idea to warn the girl. A fun and playful friendship develops from there. Sloane and Jason have the best texting banter and teasing going on. I love the innuendos and mildly held control. This slow burn style build up that leads to an inferno will have you breaking out in a sweat. The real conversations that Jason and Sloane have are real, and I adore it.
