Things are getting personal when Storm is forced to use magic in front of her boss to save their lives and then her BFF is a suspect in the murder of her own client. Nothing is as it seems, so Storm calls the Witches Murder Club into action. Of course, Logan lends a hand, too, but what follows brings to light a lot more than Storm expected. I enjoy the comraderie among the Murder Club members and between Storm and Logan. I also like that Storm is in full control of her magic, none of the powerful Witch who doesn't realize her potential trope. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book.
Samantha Silver lives in British Columbia, Canada, along with her husband and seventeen-year-old dog named Terra.
When she's not writing cozy mysteries, Samantha loves travelling (she's most recently been to Egypt, Jordan and Florida) skiing, eating Dairy Queen, and complaining about how hard running is.
Good overall story but full of inconsistencies and errors
I honestly love the story line of this series, however every book as been full of editorial errors and plot inconsistencies. Some of them pretty major. I’ve tried to contact the author directly about it but have yet to hear back. Hopefully she will review these books and fix these errors because the story itself has a lot of potential.
This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. Great cast of characters entertaining storyline. Storm is a witch whose parents and family were killed. Her family left a small town she now lives in mini years ago and went on the run. Storm did not know this though I just thought her parents were law abiding normal citizens. Apparently it one time they were involved in the illegal potion trade. This may be what got them killed. Storm changed her name and went undercover in her hometown and is trying to find out who is responsible for her family‘s death. She got a job as a reporter and has a few friends who have made a murder club to solve murders and crimes around town. As time goes by and she finds out little bit more information she now believes someone is chasing her in and trying to find her. Lots of mystery very entertaining and a great cast of fun characters. Check it out
Apparently, Storm has variously moved away from Golden Hope, aged 2, 5, and as a baby, her parents were killed at different times, ages, in different books, too.. Gary remembers her age 5 when they left, now this random ever changing number of years, depending on which version you take as the gospel, later he recognises her despite her changing her natural appearance.. laughable
How many times is the author going to fail to take note of key points on the timeline she created and just change it yet still get reviews saying it is wonderful???
Death is the ultimate escape. Few know when out time will come. Carl met his untimely death in an interrogation room with his lawyer, Ashley. Not many people cried over Carl's death. Storm didn't shed a tear. She did get involved in the investigation when Ashley became a key suspect.
On a side random note, who else loves Jay? He is this tiny kitten with a huge ego and more personality his little body can hold. He should have a high pitched, squeaky voice. Yet, in my head he sounds like Harvey Fierstein. Enjoy that laugh!
This book could easily have been a five. What is it with this cliffhanger trend. Good stories, well written, do not need cliffhangers. They make me NOT want to continue a series. I am going to read the next in series. If things keep going in circles with no closure (and another ridiculous cliffhanger), I'm out.
I don't like cliff-hangers. It's a ploy to trick readers into buying the next in series. If the book/series can't stand on it's own, cliff-hangers won't help.
A better solution would have been to take that last scene and put it at the beginning of the next book. That, would have made a great openning.
Kill The Wizard Storm and the witches are back in their next adventure in Golden Hope. The culprit is himself. A person committed suicide to make it seem like murder. I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited. This in no way affects my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.
Ahhh, I love this series so much! I want to be a best friend of Storm and get drinks with her and the other members of the Witches murder club! A light cosy mystery! I cannot wait for the next book!
This is a very well written and edited book. The story flows easily. It has an interesting mystery with and unexpected ending. Then Storms life goes down hill fast. Can't wait for the next book.
It looks like Stormy’s parents pasts is coming back to bite her in the butt. Love the friendships, and although the Sheriff is as lazy as can be he does listen to Stormy and her hunches… eventually. Having fun, and on to book five!
Another great installment of the WMC. Can Storm and her friends figure out who killed a man while he was in the police department? Ashley did not do it, but they must prove it while determining who actually did. It is a great book and a great series!
OMG! Can't wait to see what happens next. I really liked these characters and the plot of this book. I am so looking forward to reading the next installment.
This is a well written and has well developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
