Harry Potter references, Christmas 'specials' and an overall good time, Big Nate continues to be a great blend of humour for kids and older readers alike.

I am so glad I am getting ARCs of every book in this series months before the actual publication! And I am really grateful for this 💌

Read this on a Monday after a hectic day at work and home as well. I wasn't feeling good. But then I flipped open the first page and then I was giggling to almost every line by Nate! He looks so serious in this one but he's so funny!

I find it hard to believe that I would enjoy the next book more than the previous one but here we are!

I love every book when it comes to this kid. But never have I remember laughing this much while reading one as much as I did with this.

Kudos to the team for keeping up with awesome quality contents for the series.

Just pick up this one as soon as it comes out. All the school adventures and Halloween vibes!

The lines and the artwork deliver more than what I was anticipating.

Thank you, Andrews McMeel and the author, for the advance reading copy.

Yas! It was time for a new Big Nate with a terrific and hilarious title! This is one of the comic-filled books and not the graphic novel with text one. I love both, but I was definitely in for some comics.

This time a new school year and plenty of detentions and silly things happening. Oh Nate, why aren’t you learning. XD I had a lot of laughs while reading this one. From corn muffins to Dee Dee and Nate’s competition to see who has the better gossip blog (which leads to some hilarious situations and Nate wondering if he really has all the right sources) to sports (chess, soccer, baseball, and even golf, yes there is a lot of sports). There are new excuses and some had me laughing and some had me shaking my head. Nate, how in the heavens did you think that was a good one? There is a lot happening in this time and I was in for it. I know that no matter how boring a day, Nate makes it funny. Either unintentionally or intentionally. And I absolutely LOVED that Star Trek the Next Generation is mentioned, though, haha, I wonder how many kids know that show given the age of that.

And of course there are the holidays. Halloween and Christmas. Dressing up and mall Santa’s (who is also the picture guy, yes, this guy is doing all the jobs).

There is also a part on the HP series. My inner fangirl was excited, but my rational side was also shaking her head given all that Rowling did (and is still doing).

And yes, the corn muffins come back in the story and I loved it! It wasn’t just a funny title, oh no, there is a story along with it!

All in all, tons of fun and I am happy I had the change to read this one~ Recommended.

Very funny it had some great jokes in it like when it talked about nate wanting to grow up. The main joke about hitting the gym teacher in the head with a Corn Muffin was hilarious. He should make more books with jokes like these because they were very funny.

Kids will love the latest adventure of Nate and his friends as they navigate 6th grade and all of the obstacles that come their way, including hitting a teacher smack in the head with a corn muffin! I will admit that some of Nate's whining and antics got to me this time around and I spent some of the time being thankful he wasn't my kid and the rest laughing at just how goofy he really is. I would never ever want to go back to that time [even though Middle School was awesome for me, especially 6th grade] as I know that middle school can be brutal for some kids - I am glad they have books like Big Nate to give them some laughter in their daily life.

Thank you to NetGalley, Lincoln Peirce, and Andrews McMeel Publishing for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The latest in the Big Nate graphic novel series (#26). Nate and friends are perpetually dealing with life in the sixth grade. This has him returning to school, getting detention on day two, engaging in a gossip gathering contest, running out of excuses for not completing homework and dealing with the fact that a teach and he both love the same tv show. The art work is consistently good and colorful. Big Nate isn't as popular in my elementary school library as he once was but has enough of a following I've already ordered this book. I anticipate a new animated series on Nickelodeon will renew interest. Was happy to get a sneak peak thanks to the NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing in exchange for a review.

This graphic novel follows Nate and his friends through a typical school year for a middle schooler.

He faces crushes, nemesis teachers, dealing with bullies, having the best pets ever, the horror of liking the same thing as a teacher, navigating friendships, learning new skills and more in a way only a hilarious mischievous kid can.

My kids love this series and I can see it being a big hit with their age group (8-11).

Thanks to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the advance copy!

Typical big nate full of funny comics and a semi overarching story. I can’t wait for it to be out in stores so I can read a physical copy too.

I loved this book! I have heard of star trek, heard it was cringy. I like star wars a lot more. Big Nate should convert to star wars. I loved how funny it was when it said, "and the corn muffin exploded into a million pieces on Coach John's head."

Big Nate is back again! This is a fun collection of comics featuring Big Nate and all of his friends, as they navigate the minefield of sixth grade (with airborne corn muffins). A little bit Peanuts, a little bit Calvin and Hobbes and a whole lot of unique Big Nate style, my kiddo devoured it!

The illustrations were great. I have never read a Nate book before. It was an easy read with lots of “little stories” as I would call them. I did not like how Nate seemed negative and was degrading adults and other kids. There is enough if that in the world, than to have to read it. It seemed as if Nate had no respect.
I like the title of the book, but there was only a very brief section that related to the title. I thought the title was catchy and there was be a good story behind it.
I spoke to some of my students and asked if they have any read any of the books, since there are several. Some stated they did, but did not like them. They felt Nate was mean.

My eight year old daughter is a huge fan of the Big Nate series and I let her review this one for me! She shared that is was even funnier than the other Big Nate books she has read in the past (which is nearly all of them!) and said that other kids will definitely like this book. When asked how many stars she would give the book out of 5, she said 10. When I said that wasn’t possible, she agreed that five stars would work for her, too.
Thank you to Andrew McMeel Publishing and Netgalley for the advanced reader copy of this book. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

'Big Nate: Beware of Low-Flying Corn Muffins' by Lincoln Peirce is the 26th volume of the Big Nate series.

This time around, the Corn Muffin in the title gets Nate into detention. Nate tries to get free treats from the bakery that sponsors his baseball team. He also gets in a contest at school to find out who can find the best gossip story.

You know what you're getting with this series. If you enjoy other volumes like I have, you will enjoy this one too.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Europe Comics and NetGalley. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

In this volume, Nate is involved with a corn muffin incident (quite funny how he explained it), Mrs Godfrey and Nate discover a shared love (p.s. its a SF TV series), but that does not change their dynamic. Cats are still Nate's bane, even when he is rescued by one. And the Cupcakes are still leaving crumbs all over the field. In other words, sit back and enjoy the Big Nate fun!

Thanks Netgalley for the opportunity to read this title!

I love the Big Nate books. Peirce does such a good job of creating a kid who would like to believe that he is smooth and worldly but he is actually usually short of the mark. In this collection, we get to see that in a series of stories including the low-flying corn muffin incident where Nate gets the coach in the head. We also find out that Nate and his nemesis Mrs. Godfrey share a surprising interest. Nate almost loses his status as the king of gossip around school.

The latest review-proof volume in this series, where no critic will put any fan off buying it, ever. Here, fallout from a gossip-gathering contest proves rife with problems, Chad does the Sorting Hat quiz to surprising result, and Nate has much worse success than I did way back when, with a favourite TV show in common with a certain teacher. A strong four stars.

I read this new Big Nate book with my 8 year old who loves the Big Nate series. He said it is his favorite of the graphic novels so far. He loves the story and had a lot of moments of giggling throughout. It is a good, clean, fun story for elementary age students to read on their own or as a family.

Summer's over and Big Nate is back in school. His huge ego hasn't changed but a few things at school have. This is a fun collection of Big Nate comics. They are individual but connect to form a story of Big Nate's schools adventures. I love the drawings and colors that add so much to the story. Humorous collection sure to make you laugh.

This book was super fun to read. Within this book, you will find a collection of short comics featuring Nate and his friends/fellow classmates. Nate is a witty, sarcastic kid whose next moves are always unpredictable. Great fun and light read if you’re wanting a middle grade
