I recently found Tirzah on Facebook and this story was recommended to me because of my fear of the dark. It's a great dystopian story with scary shit happening in the dark. I knew I was right to be afraid! Tirzah agrees with me and takes us on a journey with some fantastic characters trying to survive when most of humanity has been wiped out. This book contains the first 18 episodes from the ongoing story that can be found on Kindle Vella. Definitely recommend and look forward to continuing where this book left off.

This story was so awesome! I have always loved anything to do with the apocalypse and this one sucked me right in and made me feel like I was right there with the characters with her very descriptive writing. I especially enjoyed how the story essentially starts from the middle/end of the apocalypse and then works backwards and explains how everyone came to be together and kind of a backstory to them all. Through this I have discovered that I absolutely despise Jake! I will be joining Kindle Vella so I can finish the rest of the story!!

This book will suck you right in. I can't wait to jump into the next episode and see where it takes me next.

The author develops enough character and background for you to get a general understanding of the "main" characters and how they ended up where they are. Jake is definitely on my sh!t list and hopeful to see his development, and if he takes a turn of redemption.

Read if you like
Gore and things that go bump in the night. There is some closed door spice and a tame spice.

From the very start of this book I was hooked. Horror is one of my favourite book genres and so when I stumbled upon this I was thrilled. Dark is the beginning of a series which explores survival following a post apocalyptic event with a unique and interesting twist. As readers we are introduced to characters and how they navigated surviving the attacks of an unknown creature. As we are introduced to each new character and how they survived, the story of how they came together as a group begins to fall into place. I’m super excited to see what else comes, though I may sleep with my light on for a while.

Book gifted. My review is voluntary.

Oh I loved this. Its set out in sections of each person's life at the time of the incident.
You get to know each of the characters experiences which I would normally find the jumping back irritating, but surprisingly didn't.
Gutted over little Ben. (How could you)
I find I don't know enough to really give a proper review as This is an ongoing piece published on Amazon Valla. ( I've never heard of it before now). Sadly I've given up on these kinds of releases, as the cost can build rather quickly with no end in sight.

‘All it takes is a shadow’
The character introductions interspersed with the story really make a difference.

Some sage survival advice from the author:
Monsters are real
Safer does not mean safe
Listen to the children - they can see in the dark
Be afraid of the dark and of “things that go bump in the night”.

Regardless of whatever trauma or bad times we’re experiencing, remember that ‘there’s always room for ice cream’.

Now on to ‘Spidersight’ then “My Morning Pages’ (releasing 29 September).

This is a really good start. It’s well written and creepy. I like how there are flashbacks in everyone’s P.O.V so we can learn how everyone ended up where they did. It kind of reminds me of the movie slither, at least the monsters do. I’m really interested to see where this is going. I guess it’s time to figure out how to use Kindle Vella.

I felt this book had a great pace to it. It kept you engaged and interested for its entirety. It was a bit confusing for timeline as there wasn’t a preface warning but you got the hang of it. Can’t wait to read the remaining episodes!

Fantastic book comprised from all of her chapters published through the Kindle Vella platform.

The writing in this book is so smooth and sucks you right in. I loved the different POVs from all the different characters to give you a full 360 on their dilemma.

I can’t wait to keep reading to find out what happens with this group of survivors!!!

Good read!

Enjoyable story. I liked how it changed between characters so you got to know them. I think Willis was my favorite. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

The writing and descriptions make you feel like you are right there feeling the horror, trying not to throw up! This is strange!!

Great

I do love your writing but just too impatience for the style of not getting to read at my pace and NOT your pace. This is a game changer for me. I will not be a fan.

Impressive start!

This serial literally drew me right in. I couldn't put it down. It's definitely an author to keep an eye on, especially if you like horror.

This grabbed me from the beginning. The people are flawed and I love it. But it holds to to how we are as humans and how we would act if this happened to us. I can't wait to read more!

This was the start of a story straight out of a horror film…. Things that go bump in the night and hide in shadows! These mysterious creatures killing people in the darkness… sole survivors trying to find a way to survive together!

Ummm, WTF? This book was gruesome, scary, and sad. I could not stop reading this ( I found myself needing to read this in the light, though 😧). The gore that was left behind for the select few surviors to find was unimaginable. Some figured out what these monsters don't like, light, and some just got lucky.

I liked reading the different points of view of the characters and going along on their journey of survival. I am sad we have to use tokens to read the subsequent episodes, so?

Tirzah, you are an incredible writer, and I love your "sick" brain. I can really tell how much you love and enjoy writing. It's also a plus and write short stories. Sometimes, it's nice to read something shorter and to the point.
