You’re a 16-year-old with NFL dreams but a physique more suited for watching pros than playing with them. You’re a 45-year-old office worker whose years sitting in chairs have rendered your body, shall we say, aesthetically unpleasing. You’re a 78-year-old retiree tired of waking up listless and barely mobile. For all of you and many, many more, ATG for Life is exactly that. No matter where on the physical spectrum you are today, ATG for Life - illustrated exercises you do just twice each week - will dramatically change your future. Authors Ben Patrick, known internationally as the Kneesovertoesguy, and Derek Williams, Mr1nf1n1ty, have trained thousands of people to bring out their full physical potential. Now ATG for Life puts those same lessons into your hands - exercises you can start right now and see improvements faster than you likely thought possible. Everything is done on a gradient, so you start at a level that’s pain-free and gain wins by the day. That’s a key piece of the ATG (Athletic Truth Group) formula, and it leads to success stories from the most raw beginners to current NFL and NBA players. ATG for Life is your money in the bank for a healthier, happier rest of your life. The adventure begins today! *** Success stories and more atgonlinecoaching.com
Particularly useful version of the ATG plan if you need to scale heavily. Maybe due to age or injury. This version does require equipment, I use a slant board and iron shin for tib raises. I use a turned off treadmill in place of the sled and use the end of the bed for back extensions. If you want the version which doesn't require any equipment go for Knee Ability Zero.
As a book it's extremely lacking. As a fitness program it's lacking. This is the very beginning of a fitness program. There's not much instructions on progressions. Most every movement requires expensive equipment and you may only use it for two sets a week. This book is designed to get you to pay $50/month to get the real programming spoon fed to you week to week on his website. I would rather him have written a book that allows people to learn some self-efficacy, but understand the man has to eat. I think it's overall a good and I'll certainly be adding some of his movements and philosophy to my own, but this book is low-effort.
Simple workout book with good explanations. You can probably find the same excercise on Ben's YouTube channel but I like to have book copies on the shelf to flip back to and this one is small enough to allow quick lookups.
No fitness plan is perfect, but this one makes a lot of sense. I like the approach ... slow, steady, focused progression.
“Train to just focus on getting .0001% better every day and let compound interest work its MAGIC.”
“Success leaves clues”
“Eight out of 10 people can expect to have low back pain due to our modern lifestyles and lack of proper exercises. The other two can expect to be lying.”
