Calista is a fresh widow trying to navigate the world as a young single mother when life throws her and Bear, President of the Hell Hounds MC Dublin Charter, together.
Bikers had never really been her thing, but Bear was proving to be different. If only it was that simple, but she didn't just have herself to consider.
Calista
The sympathy ringers rang, only I was so damn tired of being looked at with pity - looked at as if I had lost something vital. The truth was that, as terrible as it sounded, I had found my freedom. But that freedom came with the two loves of my life. Being a mother to them was probably the only thing that kept me grounded.
So when he came into the picture, I chalked it up to a passing interest - a fling. Only, I'm starting to learn that once you're in the Club, there is no such things as a fling.
Bear
She was everything I wasn't looking for in a woman, and yet I refused to let her go - refused to let her find any option that didn't include us.
Born and raised in South Africa, Erin thrived on stories and the art of story telling. A long stint in marketing saw her move across the world, settling in rural North Italy with her Husband, two children and a cat.
She now hones her craft of story telling in creating tales that she herself would want to read.
Ah, my favorite trigger warnings in a Luckie-Moya novel. This novel is actually more than its trigger warnings would say. It's all about single motherhood, getting hot bikers, and of course owning your sexuality as a female, cause honestly it's about time this "TABOO" topic gets addressed.
Cali, our main heroine and survivor of unfortunate widow-cy at a young age, is struggling. Struggling to pay bills, be there for her family, and of course tolerate how everyone seems to compliment her dead husband for something he really wasn't: a great husband/father. One day, she sets out to pay her bills (I forget how it exactly happened), and instead ends up owing to herself more than her bills. She owns that body and she doesn't let you forget that women should all around the world embrace who they are, regardless of what your gender/sexuality to others may say. And then comes in Bear, and MC clubs problems.
Bear is our main hero/fighter/warrior/and BDSM master. Sure, he's appreciated to being patched in an Irish biker gang as an american, but still he wants to do more. For example save the girls who try to earn their money through sex work. And then comes in Cali, that experience, charm, and finesse to wow your head. Also come Polish gang rivals, and her brother too. Has Bear gotten in over his head? And can they and Cali fight through their demons and be together?
I honestly believe yes. I mean this was so beautifully written, I mean as much as a dark and steamy novel can be. Covered all the topics right, showed how women can also have pleasure/be pleasured without having to bend to the knees for a man, juggling motherhood (and mother in laws, yikes they be scary), families, MMMF relationships, trying to do something new, experimenting with BDSM. Plus the romance and off the charts chemistry really drew me in. The demons both Bear and Cali handle were so very realistic, I almost sobbed with them about how truly tragic it all was. The romance and steam was off the charts, and I loved every second of it. And the side characters were wonderful too, I miss them the most.
Also hehe cheeky hint to Lifeblood by Amara Rae, eh, Erin? Despite me only half-loving Lifeblood, I loved the references here and there.
Anyway, once again a great dark, relevant, and steamy novel that was only consumed in ours, by Erin. And I certainly look forward to reading the rest.
I loved this book. I kind of cheated and skipped books 2 and 3 and dove head first into this one. I loved it! Yes, now I need to read about Isaac, but I HAD to have Cali's story.
After Cali's husband dies, the world should be ending, right? Only its not. Shes almost relieved. When she finds that she is left with a pile of debt and secrets shes not ready for, she is determined to keep her kids happy and in their normal lifestyle as long as possible. Cali has always had a desire she has never been able to take care of and after discovering OnlyFans, she decides to take things into her own hands. When she opens up her account, she didn't expect it to be as popular as it is. She didn't expect a wealthy Polish man to offer her money for panties. She certainly didn't expect to meet Bear after hes seen her account and take a job helping his strippers "find their rhythm." And she really, really didn't expect to be an Old Lady on night one.
Bear was NOT looking for an Old Lady. He was NOT looking for a girl with attachments. And thats allll Cali was. Widowed. kids.... she even has two. He definitely didn't expect to have just one taste and be ready to lock it down. Could she really be everything hes ever needed?
This book was full of twists and turns and I absolutely loved their chemistry. Cali was a firecracker and Bear was the strong alpha who only wanted to protect her. I wish we had more of their HEA, but everything we got was great! The kidnapping at the end....I understand why it happened, but it was a little bit anti climatic. This being said, the story was hot, sexy and I definitely wanted more!!
Now here I go back to read books 2 and 3! lol
*Overall 4.5/5 *Heat 5/5 *Fast Burn *Dual First person POV *Ends HFN!
Oh my wow! Erin not only knocked it out of the park with this one, but she also knocked it ten parks along. I loved, loved, loved this book so hard that it may take a hot minute or two to get over it. Cali had my love from the very beginning, the sort of mother I would stand next to in real life and cheer on. When the chips are down, and it all seems so bleak, we mothers do whatever the hell it takes to maintain life for our kids, and if that means an onlyfans account, then that is what it takes. I applaud her decision, and she got a type of freedom she never imagined to boot. Now let me just wipe away the drool from my screen whilst I harp on about the hotness that is Bear. Good lord, that man will give you wet panties; seriously, mine almost combust. He is so possessively dominant with a side of yeah, you have a heart in there, man, that I wanted one of my very own, and I love my husband very much, so we won't tell him that. All joking aside, you need to read this book. You can thank me later.
Cautious and Conditional is Erin's 4th book in the Hell Hounds MC Series. It's an MC story with a twist. We read Cali and Bear's story.
Cali, recently widowed, is a devoted mother. Everything she is about and does is for her kids. Bear is the Hell Hound MC Dublin President, wanting to make a success of his businesses.
When they touch paths, Bear sees an opportunity he can't pass. Can they stick to business or will pleasure be involved too?
Erin is one of my favorite MC authors and again she doesn't disappoint. This book differs from anything I've ever read. She brings different aspects together that you wouldn't expect to go together, but do.
A Fast-paced, addictive plot. If you haven't read Erin's Hellhounds series before, please go back and read them. They are exceptional.
This is the fourth instalment in The Hellhounds MC series and once again Erin is keeping this series fresh with a new trope being widowed single mother meets MC President. Erin's writing has heart and she captures her character's emotions and personalities perfectly. This one has grief, betrayal, financial stress, lust, bdsm and more steam then a locomotive.
If you haven't started this series, the books can be read as standalones.....BUT you will want to read them all, and I suggest you do 😉
Yes it is book 4 in the series, but it absolutely can be read as a standalone. I did, and now I can't wait to go back and read the others!
What would you do if you suddenly found yourself on your own with 2 young kids and a mountain of debt? Cali does what not only brings her much needed income but also power over her own body and her own pleasure. Unfortunately it also brings her to the attention of some not so savory individuals. Will a biker named Bear be the one to rescue her or be the reason her life gets more complicated? 🏍️ Motorcycle Club 🏍️ Single Mom 🏍️ Fake Relationship
I loved everything about this book! Erin does a great job of leading the new book from making the ending of the previous book ending a part of it. Just a little glimpse of what is to come. With each new story the books get steamier and more action packed. I love Cali and Bear, how their story develops make for a swoon worthy moment. Yes you’ll be on an emotional roller coaster, but it’s totally worth it in my eyes 👀
This was a quick read, while still being a slow burn. I love being able to see the struggles that a single mom like Cali has. And then when Bear sweeps into her life and just kind of takes over as her man? Ugghhh it’s perfection! I LOVED seeing Cali stand her ground in the end despite what her family thought.
An Emotional Roller Coaster This story hits so many feels, some that are absolutely just hard to cope with. Cali losing a husband is hard enough, to be under a mountain of debt left behind by him is even harder. Finding unexpected love, trying to be there for your children and do things no mother should have to to survive, it's all so overwhelming for her. Secrets are revealed, people aren't who they seem, and everything changes in unexpected ways. This book is a brilliant read and I devoured it, loving every bit of it! It's difficult, emotional, steamy, sweet, shocking, and everything you want from a good MC book! I can't wait to see what Erin comes up with next for this series.
Erin really hit allllllllll the feels with this book. She had me sitting here holding on for dear life trying to deal with the emotions that she dragged out of my cold black heart!!
I think what I loved the most from this story is the realistic aspect of it all with the added thrill and danger. Erin really knows how to keep readers on their toes!!
As a current stay at home mother myself, I can understand the choices Cali made throughout the book. As far as spice goes, I think Erin put in just the right amount to satisfy my need for spice!!
Erin did a fantastic job tugging at my heartstrings and making it impossible to not devour this book!! And she never skimps on details, which is something that I will always thoroughly appreciate and love!
Although I hadn't read the first 3 books in the series, I found that I was able to read this as a standalone and never felt lost about what was happening.
All in all, this is an awesome read and I recommend you check out if you are big into dark romance!
“One hell of sexy, toe curling, amazing book” Cautious and Conditional (Hell Hounds MC Series Book 4) Erin Mc Luckie Moya is so good and sexy it will give you goosebumps. Calista the FMC of the book is recently widowed and is trying to navigate life as a single women and a mother. Her strong Will to be financially independent to give her children the best life and also being in charge of her own pleasure is sexy as hell. In comes Bear The President of Dublin Chapter of The Hell Hounds and the MMC of the book and Calista’s very personal caveman alpha hero. The author has very sensually written all the sexy scenes in the book guaranteed to make to you frustrated and feel sexy at the same time. Book Rating - 4/5 Steam Rating - 4/5 Join Calista and Bear in their of being independent as well as co-dependent on each other, navigate life, work and relationship with each other to get their Happily Ever After ♥️ The book is now live on Kindle Unlimited and Amazon. Go read it!
Cali is a recent widow with 2 young kids. Her POS husband left her mounds of debt. She does the only thing she can think of to make lots of money fast. She starts streaming her pleasure online.
While traveling to Dublin to meet a mystery man who wants to buy her lingerie, she bumps into Bear who was sent to look after her by her brother. Her brother is in the MC in London and Bear runs the MC in Dublin.
After some conversation, Bear decides to hire her to help his ladies at the club. And also have her pretend to be his Old Lady.
Obviously fake relationships never stay fake, and they begin to have feelings for each other. But Cali has a separate life as a mom which makes things complicated. Not to mention the enemy is closer than you think.
I really enjoy this series! Even though they can be read as standalones, I like the character cross over.
I loved everything about the book from the characters, and plot to even the chapters titles…
Bear and Cali together is a dream. They adapt to each other and fit together like they were not apart after all. The intimate scenes were explosively hot and the rest of the book was mouth-melting sweetness. Cali is a fireball that can warm or burn in seconds.
Though the Dublin scenes have a lot of action that takes place plot-wise, I feel that the real deal of the love that Bear and Cali began in Scarborough with Cali’s children, Hannah and Nate by their side.
Erin’s books have little snippets of words that give insights into a character. These heart-touching moments make her books lovable.
This book connects to the Kent Chapter, where Layla has taken up the reins as President. That Bear fears The Herald is very hilarious, but I know the fears are not unfounded. Herald makes himself known as the brother who will kill to protect Cali.
The climax spilled over the pages at a pace that I couldn’t stop myself from reading. I tried my best to make the story last longer, but there is a finite number of pages in every book. I loved the book down to the last word on the last page of the book.
Who doesn’t love a good MC slow burn? I was a fan of Cali right from the start her love for her kids and her sass when it came to Bear was great. She was always running around doing everything for everyone else and she was finally starting to take control of her life and do things for herself. Bear of course comes into her life and shakes and spices everything up in the best way and takes care of her. Lots of spice, drama, and even laughs. This is book four in the series, and can be read as a stand alone. I’m definitely going to go back and read the others now though!
Cautious and Conditional is the 4th book in the Hell Hounds series. It’s fast paced, spicy, and taking back one’s own sexuality and pleasure.
When Cali suddenly finds herself widowed with 2 children, and in a ton of debt. She does what’s needed in order to keep her family afloat, while also empowering herself sexually. Then she meets Bear and holy smokes, her pleasure is his to command.
Cali and Bear’s relationship is 🔥🔥🔥. Their chemistry blazes hot. I absolutely enjoyed their story. Can’t wait for more from Erin Mc Luckie Moya and her Hell Hounds.
Erin Mc Luckie Moya’s fourth book in her ‘Hell Hounds MC’ series might be showing condition red, which means HOT! This story has steam coming off the pages. Bear and Cali, the main characters, have eyes for one another from the moment they met. Cali is a single mother of two, that is just now coming into her own sexuality. Bear is the president of the Dublin chapter of the Hell Hounds MC and he’s the one that wants to teach and tame Cali. This book is a hot, steamy romance full of adventure that was so exciting that I couldn’t put it down until the last page. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!
This one is my favorite out of the series! Cali has been fucked over by her dead(beat) husband and so now she has to take financial matters into her own hands, while taking good care of her children. This book made me laugh so many times, not because it’s a romantic comedy, but because it was so sarcastic and witty!
Bear and Cali really butt heads at first, which is hilarious, but they get there in the end and I for one, loved the journey! The Herald and the guys make a cameo with Layla, it was a really fun read!
This might have been my most anticipated book in the series! This was a quick read and I devoured this MC, single mom, fake relationship romance in one sitting. This book was a roller coaster of emotions and will get you in all the feels, but so worth it!
I loved Cali and Bear’s characters and they were amazing as a couple. The chemistry, and spicy scenes were explosive. Like all of Moya’s books this one left me wanting more!
This is an amazing well written story about Cali and Bear. Erin MC Luckie-Moya did a great job of building the relationship between Cali and Bear that is pulls you right in. I manage to finish this book in 2 days. This book has the perfect amount of spice that fits the story line. Cautious and Conditional is the first book I have read by Erin MC Luckie-Moya and now I am hooked on her writing style that I have added the previous books to this series on my ready list.
This was a fabulous read. Loved Bear, he’s what every woman needs in a relationship❤️ Bear and Cali were beautiful together, he’s dominance and her need made for some very titillating scenes throughout the book. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Author, Erin can put another check mark in her book as she succeeds with bringing another scorching hot read in this MC series. I could not stop reading this book. It was a fast read for me. Readers looking for an MC series to read will want to check out this one.
Calista aka Cali is a very passionate woman who is not afraid to please herself. Although, this was not the case in the beginning with her ex. Yet, she discovers that it just takes the right man. This is where Bear comes in. Bear is the appropriate name as he is a "bear" of a man and has a take charge presence. The chemistry between Cali and Bear is very steamy. I could not get enough of it.
First time reading this authors but definitely not the last. Good story and characters but the ending was definitely rushed. I wanted a little more. Great book regardless
This book. I’m blown away. Honestly, Erin never fails to surprise me. Her writing is growing better with each story I read and when I tell you guys I read this in like a day, I’m serious!!
I am not normally a slow burn fan but this was absolutely phenomenal! The MC added a little bit of something that I was not expecting. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Moya and I was absolutely amazed at her writing skill. I can't wait to go back and read the first few books in this series. Being a single mama, I love that Cali is stepping up and doing what she has to take care of her family. The fact hat she found herself along the way made this book even more empowering. Bear was not someone that came in and swept her off her feet, but instead he fanned the flames that she had sparked on her own!
Look, it's "dry single mom meets hot dom to sweep her off her feet: biker edition"
I can't give this book 1 star because it served its purpose: broke me out of a reading slump. HOWEVER, I have some serious beef:
Our female main character is...I just finished this book, and I'm drawing a blank on her name because there were so many pet names...Cali. Her name's Cali. Cali has a terminal diagnosis of One Direction Syndrome: she doesn't know she's beautiful and that's what makes her beautiful.
She finds herself in dire straights after her husband dies because he left a mountain of debt. Also he sucked at sex. Also he was a bad dad. Also his mom sucks. Also he has another secret family. In case you needed another reason to think it was okay for Cali to move on from her grief in what I think was 3 whole minutes.
She starts an OF. She automatically gets just SO many views on her first live because she doesn't know she's beautiful and that transcribes to top 3% earning stream numbers I GUESS. And her first stream was just SO GOOD that she catches the eye of three prominent bikers/mobsters/I'm not actually sure what they are because this is book 4, but I'm pretty sure both count.
I was fine with all of this, despite what my review up until now would have you think. But then. BUT THEN one of the bikers hires her, this all-but-virginal clean housewife, to teach seasoned sex workers how to be better sex workers. Can you imagine miss Patty Cakes coming in with a Tupperware of potato salad + raisins in it teaching Beezie, a veteran dancer at a very prominent club, how to best please their customers WITH ONE LIVE STREAM UNDER HER BELT!?
Please.
By the way, her brother is a nationally renown hacker. He knows where she is at all times, but isn't aware of the apparently six figure debt that I'm sure has been turned over to collections by the time the book has started.
And she's just such a good mom. Doing her mom thing. This definitely adds to her character and is a part of this book for reasons other than relating to a reader base /s.
I'm sorry. I don't mean to be so harsh...But then she added a sexual assault scene for no reason, and I suddenly find myself feeling sorry not sorry. I would give her a pass if this was the first book in the series because that's how it reads but this is NUMBER FOUR.
It is the epitome of "romance read for Midwest housewife married to her highschool sweetheart who hasn't had an orgasm since 2oo2." Spice was fine.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
“I’ve got you-for tonight, and however long we’re doing this thing for”
When one’s identity is dependent on others, it’s difficult to know who they are as an individual. All Cali has ever known is how to be a mother and a wife. She would put everyone before herself. Her children are her world. Somewhere along the way, she lost herself.
When her husband died, her life came apart. How well do you know someone? Her husband was not who everyone thought he was. She’s willing to do anything to make life as normal as possible for her children. Cali isn’t willing to ask for help; she would rather take care of everything herself.
Even though her brother was part of a Club, she didn’t know anything about Club life. So she judged him by thinking that he did bad things but was not a bad person. Cali goes to Dublin and meets Bear. To protect her, Bear claims her. In her eyes, they’re fake dating. She believes that they’re from two different worlds. It was two different parts of her life that she didn’t want to collide. Bear wants to take care of Cali. He was willing to endure anything for her.
Some people don’t like reading about children in books. I’m not one of those people. I feel like they can enhance the book if written correctly. They can be comic relief, not in a bad way. But sometimes you have to laugh, you know? And children say/do the funniest things.
People want more Bear and Cali. However, I wanted more Bear, Nate, and Hannah. Their relationship was sweet. Considering he didn’t know anything about children, it seems as if it came instinctively to him.
I love how Erin spotlights other authors. Seeing glimpses of other books gives readers a taste and gets them interested in reading them.
The epilogue gives you a glimpse of what’s to come. I can’t wait for more from Erin Mc Luckie Moya and the next in the Hell Hounds MC series, “Guns and Gags”. Even though “Cautious and Conditional” is part of a series, you can read it as a standalone.
"This girl was it. She was the one that I couldn't breathe without - and I would fight Susan, her brother - the whole fucking Kent Chapter if I needed to because she was more than anything I could ever bargain for." - Bear, Cautious and Conditional by Erin Mc Luckie Moya
Holy. This book was phenomenal. The synopsis was enough to have me hooked but actually reading the story was a whole different experience. I had no idea I would fall for the story and the characters this much. This is my first book by this author and I cannot believe I haven't read her other works before this because wow, her writing is simply amazing. The pace of the book, the plot and the way the characters were written were done in such a way that you'd instantly be hooked. I couldn't stop myself from reading this book in one sitting, the characters chemistry was just beyond the charts.
I am utterly obsessed with Bear and Cali. I love what Cali represents—strong, powerful and independent women and I am amazed at how this was kept consistent till the very end. It was brilliant how Bear was someone who taught her the importance of having someone to lean on. He was the unexpected support system. A rugged, MC member with a knack for kinky business. A combination you all are bound (no pun intended) to fall for. I especially loved the children. They were just so cute and seeing them hang around Bear made my heart swoon!
Thank you to the author, Erin Mc Luckie, for providing me with this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review!
Cautious and Conditional is book #4 in the Hell Hounds MC series.
Cali is a recently widowed, loving mother who will do anything to make sure her babies are taken care of. When the debt, the bills and just everything becomes too much, Cali decides to start an OnlyFans. Starting the account helps Cali open up and explore her sexuality so much. And when it leads her down a path to Bear, her life won't be the same.
Bear is the President of the Hell Hounds MC in Dublin. He knows what he wants and when his path crosses with Cali, he has to have her. But there is so much more than meets the eye when it comes to Cali, and Bear falls hard and fast.
I absolutely devoured this book!! It's emotional and such a beautiful story. There are some twists and secrets, and the spice is HOT!!!
Erin is such an incredible author and I adore everything she writes so much! If you haven't read the Hell Hounds MC, you really really should! Heres some of my fav highlights from this book to convince you 😂😂
"Turns out this girl has a few kinks that she didnt know about. Yay for dark romance novels-am I right?"
"Make no mistake, Sunshine, when I make you come, there will be nothing fake about it."
"Now that I've had a taste of you, there isn't a chance in Hell I'm willing to give this up."
"You're going to come all over my cock, Sunshine, and if we do this right, you'll come more than once."
"Look at you holding onto the headboard. You've been so good, Sunshine."
Cautious and Conditional is an epic addition to the series and I cant wait for what comes next!!
