"Firing Line" I found to be an enjoyable read, something I can say about the entire series, which I've followed since its beginning, even prior to becoming an "Advanced Copy Reader", (ARC), for the author.

You've probably heard the expression, (or not), "Keeping up with the "Joneses", well in this case it's apt as Jones figures prominently in this story...Please read the author's blurb for more detail, as I don't do spoilers.

Well written, extremely well edited, and a gripping story. What else can I say, except I believe this series is far from over there are a lot of loose ends to tie up yet.

I Highly recommend this book.

Yes, I received an advanced copy of this book at no cost from the author in exchange for taking the time to write and submit an honest review.

Firing Line by Mike Ryan delivers yet another high-octane thrill ride that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. As a fan of the series, I found the latest installment to be especially gripping and refreshingly unique.

Mike Ryan masterfully weaves an intricate plot with an unexpected twist—this time, someone other than the Silencer takes the spotlight in saving the day. This change in focus not only adds depth to the story but also introduces new dynamics and surprises that keep the narrative engaging. The shift away from Mia being the perennial damsel in distress is a welcome change, and it allows for a broader exploration of the characters' abilities and motivations.

The focus on Jones in this novel is particularly noteworthy. His development as a character and his pivotal role in the unfolding events add a new layer of complexity to the story. Ryan's portrayal of Jones is both compelling and nuanced, making him a standout figure in this high-stakes adventure.

Overall, Firing Line is a well-crafted addition to the series that maintains the thrilling pace and intense action fans have come to expect. The fresh twists and character focus make it a must-read for anyone who enjoys a good action.

There's something about this series that keeps drawing me back in. This time it's Jones that is having his part come back creating problems. It was a nice change seeing the shift in focus from their typical cases.

It was nice to see Nate make an appearance even if we didn't get to see him showcase his skills much. I also liked that they addressed possible weaknesses each member of the team may have. As the circle of people that know their identity grows I expect this to keep creaping up.

I wish the ending tied things up more clearly. I was left with questions that I'd hope are addressed again further in the series.

It was great to resume the Silencer saga after a long absence as I awaited the audiobook. In the Firing Line, the focus was on David Jones who has become a target from someone from his past in the NSA. This adversary was gunning for Jones and neither he or the Silencer Team knows why. There were great twists and turns throughout to uncover the mystery of why this person was after Jones, a foe that is highly intelligent, highly skilled as a hacker and seemed to be steps ahead of Jones and the Silencer Team to uncover the identity of this mystery person. Jones had no idea why this person was after him and wants to kill Jones. By the time Jones finds out the truth, will it be too late?

This was a great read and had the right kind of suspense and mystery to drive the story, but there were still some unanswered questions that I would've loved for Mike Ryan to have addressed either in this story or in the later books. Nonetheless, it was good to see Jones in a bigger role since he works mostly behind the scenes. Highly recommended.

Best Brain Teaser Yet

Mike still has the touch. Everyone is in the thick of the mysterious message sent to David. Who is in danger? Will this be the end of the Silencer? Enough of the hype, very well written without any lagging in the storyline. I can't wait for the next installment.

A different type of story in the series this time with the the target being David himself and the protagonist an equally skilled computer person seeking revenge. Constant action as the team folow the clues, both false and real to try to keep David safe.

This one is a bit different from the other stories as David is the main figure in this one, not the background.
