Hilarious. Sexy. Fun.
Swipe Right To Bite is the text-book definition of enemies to lovers. Katrina, a sex demon, is trying to redeem herself by refraining from sexual desires. In order to stick by her oath she creates a dating app that is just for hooking up. Instead of sex being her life, she makes other people’s sex lives her business - literally. Then Gabe, a retired sex demon, comes to New Orleans teaching emotional intimiacy over just phyisical attraction. Katrina is furious and plans to stop him at all costs. Gabe wants his business to thrive and will make any deal he can to make it happen. The two clash in a way neither truly expected.
This book is not one I would usually pick up. Supernatural-romances with an emphasis on enemies to lovers is not my usual flavor. With that being said, I completely lost myself in the world Carrie Pulkinen crafted for her readers! I laughed more than I ever have while reading a book. I found myself cheering for both Gabe and Katrina. Each character found a place in my heart. Mostly, I enjoyed myself. It has been a really long time since I read a seriously fun book.
If you are in need of a sexy romance with devilishly attractive characters or even just a light hearted book then his book is absolutely for you!

Carrie Pulkinen's Swipe right to bite is a fun paranormal romance about two demons, a succubus and an incubus, who are both trying to gain their freedom from the devil. They live in New Orleans. They are rivals in business as she has a hook-up app and he is trying to convince local supes of the benefits of emotional intimacy. Their freedom and his sexual prowess depends on fulfilling the terms of a hellish bargain that involves love.
I loved this story because it's entertaining, there's a lot of great little detail in the worldbuilding, and the characters are surprisingly relatable. Steam level: adult situations may arise if you're reading about sex demons.

I have read a few books by this author and i have liked all of them. I couldn't put this one down! It was funny paranormal romance that had a little bit of spice. This author never disappoints and i am looking forward to reading more in the future!

Honestly I loved this book I loved it so much I finished in a day. Although that was also my goal. I loved the wit in it. The humor. Hell has a waiting line that plays bad Christmas music 🤣 and the sexual jokes thrown into here hilarious. I loved how she describes love. The characters actually have a chance to develop a relationship rather than it being installed which is nice. Overall fun quick read. Loved it!

Ebook. Purchased. 3.5. Not quite what I was expecting but thats on me for starting with book 5. I liked the premise and there were some funny parts. But by the end the puns and nicknames for body parts was starting to lose its humor and become off putting.

A short read, good as a palate cleanser.
What I liked;
- the idea of a succubus and an incubus struggling to stay off sex
- The devil wearing novelty underpants
What I didn’t like so much;
- the constant overuse of silly words instead of swear words. Honestly, the odd one would’ve been OK but I found myself eye-rolling because it was just too frequent
- There really wasn’t much plot
I was a bit disappointed as I expected it to be funnier, so am giving it a (I think generous) 3 stars.

This was a really good book! This is not the first I've read from this author, but this is the first book I've read from this series, which is a standalone. I wasn't sure at the beginning of this story how I would feel, but once I had the midway point I was obsessed and could barely put it down. This book made me chuckle, had me rooting for the demons and was just hard to put down. This was a steamy romance but this book is more focused on the emotional side of things than the physical. This was a quick and easy read and I highly recommend it! I don't think Author ever disappoints!

Longing to be free, Succubus Katrina figures if she resists her urges long enough Satan will forget about her. She has spent the last hundred years in New Orleans helping other supes through a dating app that she created called Swipe Right to Bite. Katrina has designed the app with the intention to let supes hook up without love or strings attached. Business is booming for Katrina with her app until Gabe, an incubus, arrives and starts holding seminars about creating loving relationships without sex. Katrina is convinced that Gabe is intent on ruining things for her when people start deleting the app and she starts losing business. Katrina sets out to destroy Gabe because the City of New Orleans is not big enough for them both.
What Katrina is unaware of is that Gabe has made a deal with Satan which involves having Katrina fall in love with him. Katrina lives in New Orleans and is the creator of Swipe Right To Bite, it is a dating app for the supernatural beings in the city and because she is a succubus, she knows all about sex and the enjoyment it can bring, even though she is fasting so that she can escape from Satan and win her freedom. Gabe is an incubus and has just moved to New Orleans for a fresh start and to see whether his work will be as well received within the supernatural community as it is in the human communities he has worked with before.
Katrina’s app is the most popular one of its kind, in fact it is the only one of its kind, however when she finds out about the new demon in town and how he is about to ruin her life, she is not impressed in the slightest and decides that she will pay this demon a visit and concocts a plan to do just that, however, it all backfires when he decides to try and turn the tables by gate-crashing an event of hers in return. This doesn’t just annoy Katrina, it starts to cause some problems for everyone else around her, especially when her demon shines through and complicates matters.
Katrina cannot abide this other sex demon and is determined to run him out of town, despite the fact that he is the one person she could break her fast with and not destroy in the process, but she tries to ignore that and plan his demise. Meanwhile, Gabe is determined to show Katrina what she is missing and makes up his mind how to do it, but will he be able to prove that sex demons can experience more than just sex, or will the heat they create in New Orleans scorch them both instead? This is a rip roaring paranormal romance with comedy and romance in spades, as well as a whole heap of trouble which will keep you hooked from start to finish.

I really enjoyed this one. Like all of the books in this series, it was very funny, but it also had a great angst/yearning feel throughout the book.
It's easy to read/listen to as the author writing style simply flows and oozes funny and sexy!
I love that we get multiple sexy scenes with good levels of detail, and I love that the slow build-up is hot and steamy. Carrie p writes funny paranormal romarasies like no one else, I just wish she got a better narrator who could do multiple accents and tones and vocal changes to separate the characters. Part of my narrator rating process is to randomly skip into the book (once Iver read it all) and see if I can guess who's character is speaking and unfortunately I just couldn't tell on9 out of my 10 attempts.

I really enjoyed this one. Like all of the books in this series, it was very funny, but it also had a great angst/yearning feel throughout the book.
It's easy to read/listen to as the author writing style simply flows and oozes funny and sexy!
I love that we get multiple sexy scenes with good levels of detail, and I love that the slow build-up is hot and steamy. Carrie p writes funny paranormal romarasies like no one else, I just wish she got a better narrator who could do multiple accents and tones and vocal changes to separate the characters. Part of my narrator rating process is to randomly skip into the book (once Iver read it all) and see if I can guess who's character is speaking and unfortunately I just couldn't tell on9 out of my 10 attempts.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "SWIPE RIGHT TO BITE" Carrie Pulkinen you are such a brilliant creative writer who never disappoints her readers this was such an addicting, interesting, intriguing, steamy, humorous storyline you can't put down.
Katarina is a succubus with a business called Swipe to Bite dating App. also she runs Hellions Anonymous for Demons to control their urges her BF Jasmine is a Nectomancer married to Asher.
Katrina topside hiding from Satan she's trying to gain freedom by fasting, until Gabriel an Incubi arrives in New Orleans stealing her customers with his lectures telling them to cancell their accounts with her.
Kat gets her revenge by going to his lecture & turning it into an orgy cause she thinks he's Sent by Satan to destroy her he got his freedom but he can't have sex a deal he made with Satan.
Gabe goes to Satan to make another deal to gain Katrina's freedom he has to make her tell him out loud to his face she's in Love with him if be fails he loses his balls & both lose their chance at freedom he accepts thinking he can to it.

I had not read this amazing author, until this book, but I am so glad that I got started with this treat. This was the perfect book to end the year with. I loved their writing style, and how the story progressed, the characters were wonderful and everything flowed so well! Loved it!
For me it was each of the characters and the personalities they withheld that made me fall in love so quick. Each had a heart, and different emotions as well as their own zest to what ever level spiciness you would consider them to have. The engagement was very strong with this novel I found, I was hooked very early on and the curiosity and want to know more just continued to rise more and more! As said, flowed through ever so nicely. I really enjoyed the technique and word play of the writing!
Katrina brought on the spice oh so well. And Gabe, his hotness alone could make my kindle swear! I loved his determination and how things seemed to go along and progress between the two of them. It seemed at times they both got more than they bargained for! Loved their chemistry and attractions on every level they had for one another! Really great read and absolutely freaking loved this book and author!

I thoroughly enjoyed this latest book in this series of paranormal romantic comedies. It can be read as a standalone story, however, I recommend reading the previous books as they are a fun read. This story is a lighthearted, funny romance featuring ‘supes’, with an enemies to lovers theme. Succubus Katrina is trying to ignore her demonic urges so that Satan will eventually forget about her, and then she will be free, this means no sex! Katrina spends her time helping the ‘supes’ of New Orleans with their dating by introducing, ‘Swipe Right to Bite’, “the best and only hook-up app for the supernatural”. Then Gabe, an insufferable incubus turns up in Big Easy and ruins Katrina’s plans.
Although Katrina tries to get rid of Gabe, she can not deny their instant attraction, and Gabe, feeling the same, is not going to leave easily. I loved the characters, as usual they are unique, likeable and relatable, making me feel engaged in their stories. The chemistry between Katrina and Gabe really came across in the story and led to some steamy scenes, eventually! As usual the descriptive narrative really brought the supernatural setting to life and I felt fully immersed in Big Easy. The great world building, intriguing characters and the funny, romantic storyline all made this a page turner which I definitely recommend.

This book has it all. It has humor, steamy scenes, character growth, and a happy ending. The author takes her characters on a journey in this series. I read all of the books leading up to this one before starting this one. I noticed that all of the authors characters go on a journey. The journey always ends up with a trip to hell. In this book, there are a few trips to hell for the characters. The main characters in this book are trying to recover from their time in hell. It is a laugh out loud book that takes you through the ores of the characters. It is a day read and you won't want to stop until you are finished. It is a HUGE page turner. If you haven't read the other books in the series, it is not necessary to do but will help you understand the secondary characters in the book. . I was able to completely immerse myself in the book because of the way the author writes. The descriptive writing and amazing dialogue keeps you wanting to the turn the pages. It makes you want to keep going. Add in the humor and the steamy love scenes and this book has become a contender in my top 20 books of 2021. This is a must read if you just want to clear your mind and take an escape into the crazy supernatural realm.

I have loved all these stories. The author does an amazing job of mixing paranormal and romance and making each story unique and different. The characters in this story are what really make it come alive and be believable. This is definately a story of friends to lovers.
In this story we meet Katrina and Gabe. Both of them are sex demons, both of them are trying to live life better to make up for their pasts. Gabe is free of Satan's rule thanks to a agreement he made, however Katrina is not.
Katrina sets up a app to help supernatural beings connect with people purely for a physical connection. The app was very popular until Gabe came along teaching about emotional and romantic connections.
These leads to Katrina and Gabe to butt heads. Gabe wants to prove to Katrina that he doesn't mean her harm and things the best way to do this is gain her freedom from Satan. However there is always a catch. To get Katrine's freedom and Gabe's manhood back he needs to make Katrine fall in love with him.
Katrine had a similar plan but hers is to show Gabe that physical connections is more important that emotional.
Bit both their plans go wrong when the feelings they share start off as fake and then change into something very real that neither of them expected.

This is a perfect blend of Romance and comedy I found myself laughing out loud and getting the look from my three year old. Ha This will grab you from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. Sexy Succubus Trying to Go Clean - Adult Read
Parents: This is Not for kids or teens. R rated - There is quite a bit of bad language in this book. The violence is normal fantasy levels, but the sexual content is very heavy due to the main character's type of demon: lots of adult bedroom humor and pretty hard to miss insinuations and puns, along with a pretty detailed bedroom scenes.
Very much an adult read, the sexual content starts right away due to the main character being a succubus. Katrina wants to end her service to the devil by denying her nature/desires as a succubus.... if she does long enough then she hopes the devil will get bored with her and let her off. Just like the other books in the series, this one was laugh out load funny, with very entertaining characters. If you don't mind the adult content and are looking for a fun, comedic, paranormal, fantasy, romance, adventure than this one's worth a credit.
The narrator (4🌟) of this series really does a great job, has good differentiations, and is quite fun to listen to.

The dynamic between Gabriel and Katrina is entertaining as best, both hoping to dupe the other into falling in love. Does it work? Does it backfire on them?
There’s also the problem of Satan who will never let Katrina go, despite making a deal with Gabriel for her freedom. Satan doesn’t actually think he will succeed. Is he right? Does Gabriel fail at the task of making Katrina fall in love?

To be honest I had to look up the definition of succubus and incubus to fully understand the main characters. While this book doesn’t portray them in the same light as the definition I like to educate myself a bit if I do not understand something.
This book is your cutesy enemies to lovers romance with a supernatural spin. Katrina thinks that by being good and abstaining that Satan will forget about her and she’ll finally be free of his constraints. She assembles an app that allows supernaturals to essentially swipe right to show they are interested in a sexual relationship with other supernaturals. The app is a roaring success until Gabe, an incubus, comes into town with his own seminar. It is demon against demon for the relationship expert title of New Orleans and each side has their own secrets, some bigger than others. Can they find a way to coexist and move beyond their own limitations? Or is New Orleans only big enough for one demon? If you enjoy romance books with adult themes then this will surely be up your alley!

This book is the 6th book of the "New Orleans Nocturnes" series. I have not read the other books in this series but the book was completely okay to read as a stand alone. This is my first book I have read by this author. Let me tell you, she is HILARIOUS! After reading this book I am definitely going to read more from this author.

She wants to run him out of town and he wants to co-exist in the same town.
This book was so fun to read. It was witty, punny, sarcastic, romantic, sexy, all in all just fun. I will be looking into more books by this author.

Another great addition to Pulkinen's New Orleans Nocturnes series. This is book 5 and while it's not the first in the series I've had the opportunity to listen to, I have not listened to them all and this can easily be read / listened to as a standalone. A short, fun and steamy paranormal romance read. I loved the concept of demons living among humans "top-side" and having to attend regular meetings and trying to free themselves from the devil's hold. This is Katrina (a succubus) and Gabe (an incubus) story. A fun fall in lust or will it be love for these two?!? My favorite is all the non-cuss cuss words. So inventive and easy to pick up. Pulkinen is a fav of mine for paranormal romance reads and, in this listen, narrator Jackson also delights! Well done all around and I am definitely looking forward to more opportunities to come!

As soon as I saw this new book by this author it was click and get asap. This author does paranormal romance comedy brilliantly! There has not been one single thing that this author has written that I have not loved. The New Orleans Nocturne series is a world full of crazy and quirky characters that you just can’t help but love. I really enjoy the tongue in cheek witty banter and humour that has me laughing out loud. This series just gets better with each new book. It’s always pandemonium in this fantasy world and this book is no different with sexy and sassy succubi, hot as sin incubi along with panty melting drama, and a multitude and variety of demons in the Big Easy. You never know what you are going to get and that makes it a magical tale.
She’s trying to stay under the wire so she can have what she is longing for but when a hot as sin incubi struts into town he apparently has other ideas.

Swipe Right to Bite is the most recent book in the New Orleans Nocturnes series, but can be enjoyed freestanding. This series has overlapping characters, but they are all written in a way that you can read independently. I love this book, it is funny and kept me hooked. This is the most... adult themed... out of the series, since the main characters are Succubus and Incubus, which are sexual by nature. So reader beware, mature audiences. That aside, this book is hilarious. The author has a great sense of humor and the characters are wonderful. Katrina is independent and fun. I was happy to see Gabe was a nice guy, apparently nice guy demons are a thing... Their relationship has a funny start, and they quickly go from enemies to friends to lovers. They are very witty and this book puts a paranormal twist on a common love story. Highly recommend and cant wait to read more in this series... I'm invested!

I have read quite a few books written by this author and she always reels me in with her love hate relationships with a few twists. Katrina is a succubus and she is fasting for her freedom. Its the story of Katrina who is a succubus and she would die for freedom. In her mind if she acts like she's normal Satan will forget about her and she can go on about her life but unfortunately that's not how it works.
