Aria Garett gave up on the idea of love when her husband, Trace, disappeared seven years ago. Until the day a handsome deputy sheriff walks into her life and her heart. Nic Savage has one goal—prove to Aria that love does grant second chances. It’s working, too, until one balmy August night when Nic fails to show at work. Aria’s frantic calls and texts go unanswered as the horrifying truth becomes clear—just like her husband, Nic has vanished without a trace. Can Aria find the strength to search for her new love or is her battle-weary soul too scarred to try again? Sexy. Steamy. Suspenseful.
I saw this novel on Instagram and loved the cover. I recently signed up for KU, so I downloaded it to find out what it was about. I love the writer’s description of the lavender fields and the quirky traits of her hero and heroine. The first person POV made it a more intimate read. I loved the intriguing other world elements and the missing husband angle. Plus it had some steamy scenes that were super hot! I meant to read this story next week, but honestly, I couldn’t put it down. It was a quick read that left me wanting to know more about, Nic, Trace and Aria. My only complaint was that the novel could have been longer, but this is just the first installment to the series, so I’m looking forward to more from this author! Without Trace was a great start to what promises to be a wonderful series.
This book is so good! I love the characters, the settings are very visual, and the storyline is a ‘can’t put it down’. I fell in love with Aria and Nic. It was exciting, mysterious, and sensual all at the same time. If you are in to romance and mystery, this book is for you!! I highly recommend it!
