Fascinating behind-the-scenes look at pandemic preparedness and unofficial work done by some extraordinary people in the face of crisis. This was a page-turner, well-written and researched and well-deserved a 5 star rating.

absolute must read for all of us who went through COVID and could not understand how the government response broke down.
