Another knockout for Jenna Gunn! Like all of Jenna's books, I was enthralled from the beginning. Dr. Trouble will grab your interest and keep you captivated until the very end. It is filled with mystery, danger, extremely explosive lust, international intrigue, and unexpected reveals.
I didn't think it was possible for Jenna to match the intensity and excitement of "Soldier", the first book in the steamy military Agile Search & Rescue series, but she has surpassed all of my expectations! In Soldier, we got a glimpse of the strong-willed, sassy, gorgeous, kickass Czech team member Simona.
In Dr. Trouble, book 2 in the series, Scotch, AKA Dr. Trouble, has just joined the Agile team, much to Simona's chagrin. She thrives on being in control, and Scotch is her Kryptonite. Together they survive a risky and dangerous mission, which solidifies their relationship after Scotch saves her life. As nefarious secrets about Simona's past are revealed, Scotch not only becomes her protector, but her lover. Their relationship becomes more than either of these two troubled characters felt they were deserving of. Their love is passionate and strong.
As in all of Jenna's books, her characters are multi-dimensional, including the secondary characters.
This was an amazing book which I highly recommend. It's a standalone, but you owe it to yourself to enjoy the first book in the series!!

This page-turner, acton-packed romance brings Simona and Scotch together.
The ups and downs of this story keep us glued to the pages and eager to read what comes next.
I love both the alpha protector and the kick-a$$ chick that wants to save herself and the world at large.
The chemistry between them is over the top and they truly deserved their HEA.

This was a good read. Simona is shot and Scotch is the doctor that takes care of her. They of course have feelings for each other but her life is complicated. However, when she takes off he goes after her. Luckily in the end everything works out and they get their happy ending.

WOW! A fantastic book that’s HOT with amazing characters. This book is a must read and has action, adventure and so much more. Sprite and Scotch are on my read again list. ❤️📚👍

This had a decent storyline. I enjoyed the romance brewing between the two characters. I felt the connection they had for each other and loved the flow of the romance. I felt the mystery part developed too quick. I feel like the first book was better on mystery and left a little suspense to keep me reading. This book went way to fast. As a reader, it went too fast on finding the issues and captured. I was expecting more of a plot line but in the end the book was not bad.

This is the second book in Jenna Gunn's brilliant "Agile Security and Rescue" series, it is a standalone but I would urge reading the first book in the series to get to know all the lovely but diverse characters in the team.
"The man is a cocky asshole" this description of him makes Dr Jameson Scott (Scotch) laugh out loud, he was going to enjoy working with gutsy Simona Novotny, he loved nothing more than a challenge and this would be a challenge.
Devastatingly good looking Scotch was a Navy trained trauma surgeon and the newest member of "Agile Security and Rescue" team, stunning Czech born Simona, an ex spy and established member of the team had met Scotch before, he had treated her in the ER and infuriated her when he refused to let her leave until she had been sutured. Simona had a deep seated hatred and distrust of doctors, instilled into her during her troubled childhood.
The chemistry between Simona and Scotch was electric and sparks flew every time they met, they were like magnets but with opposing poles, Scotch was up for the challenge of changing her mind about doctors and him but feisty, self reliant Simona had other ideas, there was only one man that Simona really trusted and that was Josef, the man who had rescued her as a child from a life on the streets.
This story follows the rocky journey of Simona and Scotch, the fight that he had to break down her walls, the gratitude and other emotions that Simona didn't want to feel when he saved her life, the fact that he would do anything to keep her safe. Someone wanted Simona and was willing to pay a Kings ransom to get her, but why ?, Scotch would move heaven and earth to stop this happening.
This story twists and turns with some unexpected revelations and a brilliant HEA, I really enjoyed it and look forward to the next book in the series.

Simona, or Sprite as her team calls her, is one bad-ass, take-no-prisoners heroine who can hold her own with any man on the Agile Security and Rescue team. Her past has made her wary of relationships and lowering her guard. If she hadn’t been injured on a rescue mission, in pain and under the influence of some powerful holistic pain killer, she definitely wouldn’t have lowered her guard with Jameson (Scotch). He is a swoon-worthy, alpha over-the-top protective military trained trauma surgeon who is under the spell of Simona. Both are well aware of the sparks between them, but her dangerous back-off attitude has kept him from making a move in the past, other than deliberately riling her up. But injured and bleeding out Simona sends him on a frenzied race to tend to her injuries and bring her back from the brink of death. This was a steamy military, medical, suspense romance. I loved this book. The characters were well developed and complex. The story was fast paced and kept the reader riveted.
Dr. Jameson Scott aka Scotch is a former Navy trauma surgeon and has joined the Agile Security & Rescue team.
Simona Novotny is a former Czech spy. She had a tragic upbringing. She hates doctors.
They are in San Miguel to extract a high value target (a young girl) from an abductor. During the operation Simona gets shot point blank in the arm. Scotch takes her to a local hospital and performs emergency surgery to save her life. The rest of the team has to bring the kidnapped girl back to the States so Scotch, Simona and Andre their teammate have to wait for the team her to return. Scotch and Simona hook up and Scotch arranged for a safe place for Simona to recuperate back in the States. She discovers hidden cameras at the safe house and flees. Scotch and the Agile team end up in Europe searching for her. Scotch finds her in Paris where she is pursuing the man who shot her. Simona ends up being entangled in a pregnancy plot and with her half sibling and the Agile team have to capture a madman. Scotch and Simona eventually get married and have their HEA.

That storyline grabs you and never lets you go!

While trying to rescue and extract their target in San Miguel, Simona gets shot by Pavel, a guy she knows from her past. Scotch is the one who rescues her and moves heaven and earth to rescue her life in a local hospital.
There’s sizzling chemistry between these two but both feel they’re not ‘the marrying type’ so they give each other quite a hard time.
Sprite is excellent at running away from her problems … and there’s the fact that someone has put a 2M-bounty on her head 😎

Wow, what a book! Scotch & Simona are volatile characters, I absolutely loved the chemistry between them. Neither wants to admit that they want the other, especially Simona, who has trouble trusting anyone. She hates his smug face, his stunning good looks, the fact that he makes her blood boil hot & her girly parts take notice. He can't get enough of her feisty, spicy attitude, her sexy little body, beautiful blonde hair & the fact that she has his body reacting like a teenager! They had quite an adventure with the Agile Team, trying to find out why she and two others are being hunted. The enemies to lovers troupe is one of my favorite. If you aren't afraid to read steamy, super sexy stories, then this is a book for you! This is my second read from this author and I am proud to say I am firmly on Jenna's newsletter list, so I know when the next story will drop! I have also purchased several of her books for future TBR.

This is some pretty good trouble to have!
This is the second book in the Agile Security series, and I haven't read the first one. But that didn't hinder my understanding or enjoyment of this book! This story had just the right amount of security/rescue action for me. The love story was pretty unconventional since both parties had their own quite different issues. There were a number of interesting characters, especially the Czech father-figure for Simona, who played such a critical role a number of times during the book. The underlying plot to find and deliver Simona to an unknown entity was really interesting and I loved how that part worked out as well.

This was so good! I loved it. It was non stop action packed intense fun.
Simona had a tough past that made her unapproachable and touchy. When Scotch, a Dr joined the Agile Tactical team, he took an instant like to Simona and that didn't sit well with her.
Like I said, so good. I adored Scotch. He was all alpha, laid back, suave with a killer grin and hot body. He just adored her from the start, and I loved the push pull of the relationship. She didn't want to give in but had no choice. It made me laugh.
Jenna Gunn gives us a brilliantly written, funny story with truly delightful characters and intense situations, that just grab you and never lets you go. I love books like that!!!

I really enjoyed reading, Dr. Trouble: A Suspenseful Enemies to Lovers Romance by Jenna Gunn because it was such a steamy enemies to lovers story about Scotch and Simona. Their chemistry was intense and their feelings for each other was off the charts steamy!!! They didn't care for each other and Simona had a problem with doctors to begin with. But something happened and there was a turning point for both of them. Then the drama started to unfold and things became dangerous for all involved. I would highly recommend reading this story. It was steamy and drama filled and such a great read. Love the cover as well. Scotch is a very good looking doctor!!

Simona AKA Sprite is an accomplished spy, holds her own in the mostly male team, and is definitely not meant for relationships. Dr. Jamison Scott AKA Scotch is an ex-Navy trauma surgeon reared by a single navy-man father and would agree that he is not relationship material either. But when things go wrong on a mission in a third world country, Scotch moves mountains to save her, including forcing himself as her operating doctor, transfusing her with his own blood, and visiting a natural healer for pain relief because she is allergic to opioids and nothing else is available. Funny when the salve turns out to be an aphrodisiac! This story moves from multiple European locals to Utah and is full of action and surprises. Recommended!

This book about Scotch abd Simona is a well written suspenseful romance between two people who when they are together have combustible chemistry which just can't be denied. Scotch, a doctor, and Simonaare part of Agile Security and they are tasked with finding and rescuing a girl who's been kidnapped. Simona doesn't want anything to do with Scotch but all that changes when she's shot. Scotch saved her life, he stopped the bleeding and then performed emergency surgery, she'd lost so much blood that he had to use some of his blood for any chance of saving her life.
Now their lives were intertwined in more ways than one and it's getting harder to deny the palpable chemistry and heat sizzling between them but will they give in?

Scotch is a physician assigned to the crew on Simona's most recent mission. She hates him. He has the hots for her something fierce. When she is shot, he carries her out and personally performs the surgery to repair her wound. In recovery she gives into her feelings and want and they have some hot times. They can't seem to stay away from each other even though Simona keeps running. They go after the man who shot her and uncover another plot surrounding her. Scotch is determined to help her. I really enjoyed this book and the interactions between the crew as well as between Scotch and Simona. They go from two very independent people to two partners in love. Great read.

I first felt this book got off to a bit of a slow start but then I realized it was me and I was not giving it the attention it deserved, my attention was elsewhere. Ms. Gunn takes the time to fully develop her characters so you can get a good feel of who they are. In this book it was very important because it ended up being not only a lovely romance but a story about an ex-military doctor and an ex-spy. Throw in a mystery and you have a great book. It kept me glued to it when I finally had time to sit down and read. Being an advance reader I always do my best to give each book the time and attention it deserves.

Unique & compelling page turner...
Oh my, doesn't get better than this I was so caught up in the journey of Scotch & Simona. Their story was suspenseful, dangerous, sexy as sin with some great secondary quircky characters that provided real value add. I've bought the first in this series so I can get more detail on some of these folk. Simone & Scotch never knew what hit them, neither wanted a relationship just a quickie now & then but their chemistry in & out of the bedroom could not be ignored. Both found they were better people with what became the significant other in their lives, heart warming & heart healing. Highly recommended. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

Dr Jameson Scott (Scotch) is not only a doctor but one of the newest memebers of Agile Security and Rescue. Hes had a thing for Simona since she landed in his er needing to be sewn up in the hand. They bicker and argue but that is part of the apeal of these two. When a mission goes bad and Simona is shot, Jameson does everything in his power to save her. As they learn why she was shot and why she is being hunted they fall deeper for each other. Shes never really known love so this is all new for her and Scotch as well. This book is AMAZING full of drama and suspense and steam. So darn good.

This is the second book in the Agile Search & Rescue series and it is just as steamy and full of action as 'Solider'. From the first, Simona and Scotch love to hate each other but a mission going wrong forces them into close proximity and their mutual attraction explodes. Racing across Europe to catch a killer, they stumble into a mystery about Simona's past and into a love with each other they can't deny. There are a number of interesting side characters who add to the story and I look forward to them getting their own HEA soon.

Dangerous, intriguing, action filled, and that is just the romance
Dr. Trouble is the second book in the Agile Security & Rescue series. This story is a pulse pounding, smexy, suspenseful read about Scotch and Simona. Yep the H's name is scotch and he definitely goes down like a well aged drink with heady notes and a great kick at the end. Simona is a bad-a$$ woman who is a former spy for Czech and now works for ASR. Scotch is a doctor who was a trauma surgeon for the Navy. Now he has joined ASR and things are about to get dangerous, intriguing and that is just the romance.

This enemies to lover story in this series with the Agile Security and Rescue members is an enjoyable story to read and review via Booksprout. This is the second book in this series after Soldier. You know from the beginning chapters that Dr. Trouble/Jameson Scott (Scotch) is attracted to Simona, but Simona thinks he's a "Jerk". That the chemistry and interactions between Scotch and Simona were very engaging as they tit and tat each other and steamy when the attraction bloomed and became romantic. The action makes you feel you're there in this story. Guns Blazing etc. Overall, this was a well written story that I couldn't put down.

Scotch and Simona seem like a match made in heaven. Scotch is a Navy trauma surgeon now working for Agile security services. When Simona and Scotch end up working together it goes awry and he saves her life. Though Simona has a very difficult time trusting anyone. As the truth begins to unravel the mystery of Simona becomes clear. Scotch and Simona work through her mysterious past together. Scotch proves himself over and over. Love this steamy high action story! Also very much looking forward to Andre's story!

Simona doesn't trust doctors, and that goes double for Scotch (Dr. Jameson Scott), it doesn't help that he is a tempting treat. Scotch can't help, but want the fiery beauty who is trying to keep him at arms reach, with her biting words. Will he convince her he is trustworthy? Can they keep each other safe when danger starts tracking them down? I loved this dangerous, suspenseful romance, both Simona and Scotch were easy to love and I loved the banter and action of their story.

There is only one word to describe this book: Amazing.
It kept me on the edge of my reading chair, through the entire book, just devouring page after page.
I love the combination of nail-biting action and the love scenes, that just ties the perfect loop around the entire book.
This is definitely a must read for all you, who loves stories related to the spy world. And I am already looking forward to the rest of the teams stories.

These two have chemistry and steam that will not quit. In addition to the two main characters that light up the pages there is a story an enemies to lover story that I just could not put down. The twists and turns add to the whole book. This is the whole package wrapped up in a nice entertaining, interesting and at times unexpected story. I cannot wait for the next installment. This is a great book and worth reading.

Scotch and Sprite. I like the mixture. As I did this second book in the series about this wonderful hostage rescue team. Scotch thinks Simona is trouble, Simona thinks Scotch is Trouble….
They are both right, lol. And boy are they right.. for each other….
After a rescue operation and a chase through Europe will they find their way back together ? We’ll see…
And André? I like him. Even if he’s a brooding cold man. If you turn rocks you might find life underneath…

I thought this book was so entertaining and fun to read. Scotch and Simona had such a sizzling chemistry that sparks whenever they are together and they were such a perfect fit since they compliment each other. Add in some danger, suspense and intrigue, and I couldn't put this book down. I can't wait to read the next one in the series!
