Ali Parker is a full-time contemporary and new adult romance writer with more than a hundred and twenty books behind her. She loves coffee, watching a great movie, and hanging out with her hubs. By hanging out, she means making out. The man is hot. Hello. She’s a creative at heart and loves coming up with more ideas than any one person should be allowed to access. She lives in Tennessee with her hubs, teenage son, two grown daughters, and two love-of-her-life grandbabies! Telling a good story that revives hope, reminds us of love, and gives a vacation from life is all she’s up to.
This book is about Christopher, a widowed football player with a 10-year-old daughter, trying to find his way back into life. He’s convinced by his grandmother that he should seek out the advice of a therapist to help him navigate this new chapter. This is where he meets Juliette. You could say it was love at first sight but that would be a lie since they meet over video conference and Chris leaves his camera off to help hide his celebrity. I thought this was a great way to show that everyone could use a little help now and then.
I liked the way this book didn’t rush their connection but instead showed that sometimes taking a crazy chance leads to wonderful things. I loved that they found little things they had in common and built on it. I loved how they included his daughter in things they did and didn’t leave her out.
I received an advance copy of this book as an ARC member and absolutely loved getting to know Juliette and Christopher.
Christopher Is a famous football player. Juliette is a relationship counselor. His Nannie (grandmother) suggests he talk to her, for reasons I will not reveal. This story was very interesting to me. Christopher’s character is not the playboy this type of story usually portrays. It was very refreshing for a change. I love these characters and all that they faced separately and together. It's a journey you should read and go along together with them. You definitely will not be disappointed.
Hold onto your sides, Nannie is at it again!!! Chris Hampton has had his fill of one night stands from the clubs and is ready to settle down. A pro footballer and single dad, Chris has baggage of loss and guilt he doesn't know how go let go of. Juilette is a relationship counselor and devotes her time to her clients, which leaves her no time or inclination to date. Juilette has baggage of her own from her parents divorce and losing her active father in the process. When Nannie steps in and forces Chris to seek counseling he finally feels free to let all he's been holding in out. Juilette is falling for the deep voice of her new client even though he refuses to turn on his webcam due to his famous status. When Juilette receives a strange message from Chris that he's bought her a plane ticket to Nashville, she's doubtful but agrees. When she shows up in Nashville, Chris is confused, Juilette is humiliated and his ten year old daughter Sandi pushes him to go get her when Juilette flees. The chemistry is there, the connection is there but there is also the fact that he plays for Seattle and she lives in New York, he's a single dad and his Nannie just won't but out. Can Chris and Juilette fumble through their feelings and hopes to their happy ever after without crushing each other or Sandi in the process?? I love that Ali have Sandi such a strong voice in Chris and Juliette's story!! Great characters, even Nanie, and it was great to reconnect with previous characters. His/her POV, no cheating, no cliffhanger and a much deserved HEA for all. This is a MUST READ!! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and purchased a copy for my favorites collection. I can't wait for the next book, maybe Nora and Davis.....ohhhhhh!!!
This is book 7. You don’t have to read them in order, but the characters do over lap a little, they are friends/family. Books that are Hea and would reread again and again. Overview: Juliette was a relationship counselor. She helps people overcome the past and find love, or restore their love in their current relationship. But she was single and has always longed to find love for herself. But when a new client wants to do a video appointment, the new client “Chris” wants the camera off. Julie’s finds that weird, but agrees. Chris explains that he is famous and people treat him differently if they know it’s him. Julie’s agree and both end up opening up about their past and what they are looking for from the counseling. Chris wants to find love and let go of the past and find someone for him and his daughter Sandi. But Chris’s grandma aka Nannie, decided she needs to spice things up and flyers Juliette to Nashville to meet Chris. When she shows up, Chris freaks out, but makes the best of it. The two explore their blind meeting and see if t will go anywhere.
This is the 7th book in this series. Christopher, a single father of 10 years after Tori, his highschool sweetheart dies in childbirth, and a football star, Juliette, a relationship counselor. But when you want to have a second chance at love, and you want them to love you for you, not your fame and money, but to also except and love his daughter, how do you find it? His grandmother suggests him talking to a therapist, and he meets Juliette. This was a refreshing read as he was not a playboy needing to fix his reputation, but a man trying to find his way back, and she was not looking for wealth but true love. I have enjoyed every book in this series!!
I received a free ARC copy from the author and freely give my honest review
Juliette, a counselor that specializes in helping people find love, is hired to help Chris, a professional football player and single dad, find a way to move on to meaningful relationships now that he thinks he is ready to date. As the story progresses their connection seems to go deeper, a need for more than what they have blooms, and once they get over the shock of interference they may both sabotage everything they thought was happening. Ali Parker keeps the love alive in Fixing the Future. I hope that there is at least one more book to come in this series, but I will leave it up to the author to determine if the couple I think it will be can happen.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Ali Parker does it again! I have never been disappointed with any of her books and this is another great one. Chris is an NFL football player who has a 10 year old daughter and a tragic past. He has finally decided to move on and start dating again. Juliette is a relationship counselor who works basically on the computer. She agrees to take Chris on as a client but without the camera on his end engaged. Since he is famous and often recognized, he doesn't want her to be swayed in her opinion of him. They immediately connect and that leads to the romance with a little interference from Nannie. The characters are so appealing and likable and the story is engaging from page one through the epilogue. Lovely romance with some hot love scenes. Great book!!
I'm in love with Chris, Juliette, a Sandi's story!💖
Well, Ali Parker does it again. After reading Nora and Walker's story, I went straight in this one. Wow, I really loved their love story and I'm so glad Sandi was apart of it. She was so sweet and lovable a character that I couldn't help but cheer for her to get a HEA too!!! Sometimes its hard to get into a story, but not Ali's stories, her and her brother Wes are two of my favorite authors! I always make time to read their latest books. Thanks Ali for another great one!💜 I can't wait to get into the next one.😊🥰💖
Juliette and Christopher are each other’s perfect match. Chris and Julie become connected when she became his relationship therapist. Through a nosy push from his Nannie, they connect in person.
“This whole family would be lost without your tyrannical wisdom.” She smiled. “That’s better. I don’t know about the tyrannical part, but I’ll take it.”
I enjoyed the HEA and sweet story they travel together.
Christopher and Juliett were very charming and engaging. I liked reading this book because it was just down to earth. Even though he was wealthy, there were no signs of his being entitled. She was also centered and had great ideas for being a step mom and not a replacement. As a stepmother myself, I liked reading this attitude of one of the main characters. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Hoping they saw something here that I did not, I read the reviews to see what others thought. Apparently, they saw a lot here that I did not. 4- and 5-stars. Huh. For me, it just sorta dragged along, going nowhere fast, with a lot of really corny ‘witticisms’ cracked back and forth. By the 60% point, I realized I was beginning to skim, much more than read. It was at that point, I gave up, and deleted it.
Ali does it again! This story is such a great way to start off the new year. Juliette and Christopher develop chemistry even before she sees his face. Then add the sweet Sandi and watching the three of them becoming a family!
Oh I just loved Chris and Julie and little Sandi story!! They just had a connection right from the start!! Julie not only fell in love Chris but she fell in love with his daughter and his big family!! I would recommend this book to everyone!
Honestly every book just gets better and better ! Thank you for being my escape in your books .I find myself smiling as I go ! Absolutely love this one and all it's feels
The story had potential to be so much more. It would have been nice to have more foundation before jumping into anything long term. especially when there’s an older child involved.
I loved every single word. I loved how this was Chris by ok and it came full circle in a way. I loved that they fell in love and she accepted his daughter. I loved how Nannie started it all. Way to go Nannie!!!!
Such a great story. Their love is fierce. It took them a little time to come around after the blow up, but they were able to figure things out. Nannie is all up in their business though. Lol
This is book seven in The Business of Love Series and it is Juliette and Christopher's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Christopher and Tori had been high school sweethearts and each other's everything but when Tori died in childbirth it was Christopher that was not only devastated but he also had to pick up the pieces of his life and look after his daughter Sandi who was his everything. The years later and Christopher wanted to have someone by his side and get a second chance of love and also for that person to be there for his daughter even though he would never stop loving Tori and she would always have a place in his heart. Juliette is a relationship counsellor and she loved to help people and be there for them when they needed her but even though she would love to be in a relationship it just doesn't seem to happen to her. Christopher wanted a woman that didn't want him for his fame, money and what he could give them but he realised that he needed some help to find that special someone and that is where Juliette came in and hopefully she would be able to help him eventually get there. Juliette and Christopher are so perfect for each other but will they be able to get over the difficult situation that they find themselves in and get a chance of a happy ending and becoming a family with Sandi. Omg I absolutely loved this book and I couldn't put it down and had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next and what an emotional journey that they both had to travel to understand that you can trust your heart if you find the right person. Ali Parker is an amazing author and writer and the depth of her story's are what makes her books a must read and I can't wait to read more of her books in the future.
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Another wonderful book by Ms. Parker. We have Juliette, a relationship counselor, living her best life in New York with her roommate Grace. Julie is able to work from home and do video appointments with her clients. She helps them navigate through difficult relationships, finding the best ways to resolve issues and better their communication skills. All the while Julie is still single after having being burnt through her last relationship. Then we have Christopher, a hot football player for a Seattle team. Chris is a single father, raising his daughter single handedly after her mother passed away during childbirth. It's been a struggle but Chris rose to the occasion and has his family's full support back in Nashville home town when needed. Chris has a grandmother full of piss & vinegar, Nannie, and she takes it upon herself to set Chris up with a relationship counsellor when he decides to jump back into the dating pool. But Chris doesn't want to be on camera with Juliette just yet. So all of their appointments are with his video turned off. Turns out Nannie is a very sneaky old woman and she pushes the two together unknowingly to Chris & Juliette. The chemistry is off the charts and both of these two have been hurt before. They are both so willing to believe that this relationship will work out the same as all the others, they push each other away with out thinking clearly.
What a great HEA. Loved this book, made me cry too. The interactions between Juliette & Sandi, Chris's daughter are so touching.
I am voluntarily leaving this review after receiving a free copy. This is book 7 of the Business is Love series but it can be read as a standalone. It referenced other characters, but it gives you the right amount of information that you aren’t confused.
Juliette is a love counselor who has never experienced love but is amazing at her job. Christopher is a single father and an NFL player who has a terribly sad backstory. With the help of his overbearing, firstly Nannie, he agreed to meet with a Love counselor to get help with getting back into the dating world.
I absolutely loved this book! I can’t wait to go back and read the other books in this series. Ali Parker never disappoints. Christopher and Juliette’s chemistry is on fire from their first encounter. I would definitely recommend this book!

What a fun read. This is a great book if you want to feel good at the end. And who doesn't want that.
Juliette is a counselor who helps people with their relationships. She is so good at her job, that people come from all around to get her to help them. With the option of doing sessions virtually, she is able to reach people far and wide.
Christopher is a famous football player with a 10 year old daughter. He has not had much luck with women since his girlfriend passed away after giving birth to their daughter. He wants to meet someone special but he has a lot of guilt about that.
Christopher agrees to go get some counseling but has requested to keep his camera off. When people find out who he is, they act differently.
Juliette usually does not agree to counsel if she can't see the person but she will do it this time. With her time chatting with Christopher she starts to realize that she is starting to like him a lot. Christopher has never laughed so hard in a long time.
But one big thing is standing in the way of anything happening. Well there are actually 2...she is his counselor and she lives in New York, and he lives in Nashville during off season.
But both can't fight the attraction. What can they do????
Well you will never guess what they do and I won't tell you. You will have to read this great book to find out. And I will tell you this...it is fun and you will get a great kick out of it.
This is a story which I found easy to become immersed in, the characters for the most part are likeable although personally I didn't much like the granny character, I found her to be too opinionated. Juliette's a relationship counsellor who meets Christopher when he visits her for help getting back into the dating scene. His fiancé died giving birth to their daughter Sandi ten years ago and since then all he's engaged in are meaningless one night stands. For ten years he's concentrated on his career as a pro football player and being the best single dad to Sandi, but now he’s ready to see if there is someone out there to complete him without him feeling guilty about going on with his life. Someone who will see the man and not the pro football player, someone who will value him and Sandi, a partner for him and a mother and role model for Sandi.
What neither of them factored into the equation were the feelings that would develop between them.....
Christopher lost his fiancé during childbirth and after 10 years of being a single dad to Sandi he’s ready to jump back into the dating pool, tired of one-night stands. Juliette a relationship counselor is working on helping him take the leap to find a woman he can settle down with and over come the guilt he feels. Christopher a pro football player is reserved because most women just see dollar signs when they meet him and he’s looking for the real deal someone that can make his family whole and give his daughter a positive role model. Add in a meddling grandmother who thinks Juliette is the right woman for Christopher and his daughter.
I received an advance an copy of this book to give my honest review and thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
This is definitely worth more than 5*s. Chris is has been a single dad for 10 years and now he wants a lasting relationship but he doesn't know where to start and to make sure that they don't just want him for his money and celebraty status. Juliette is a relationship counsellor but hasn't had much luck herself but when her latest client doesn't want to show his face she is intrigued but more than that she is drawn to him. With a meddling Nannie (grandmother) and a 10 year old daughter Sandi, who only wants him to be happy, they are drawn together and the chemistry between them is electric. Can they make a go of it when both can't get their true feelings across. I absolutely loved reading this book. Full of emotion and so much drama but also so much love and a beautiful ending. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
This is the seventh book in the ( business of love series ) I absolutely love pretty much anything Ali Parker writes . This was another fantastic story with characters that you so easily fall in love with and a story that is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat from one moment to the next . This really was such a refreshing change for me as I read primarily a lot log of dark romances . It was just what I needed . No worries there’s plenty sexual tension , off the charts chemistry, some angst , love , joy , heartbreak and heartwarming moments as well . It’s simply the perfect blend of all the things that make a romance unforgettable. It’s got all the feels !! I loved it so much and 100% recommend it .
I love that we get to come back to this series and check in with some of the characters we had previously fallen in love with, as well as see a new couple find their forever. This time, not only do we get one of the best friends from the previous story, Juliette, but we go all the way back to the beginning of the series to pick up big brother, best friend, and single father, Christopher. And oof! This pair made me work to see their happy ending. they're both remarkably self-aware, but they've got some blind spots in that awareness. I loved watching this couple learn and grow together. And in classic Parker fashion, the ending was completely adorable. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
