I’ve been crushing on a girl for months. After my dad passed away, I needed a change and out of the family bakery, so my brother helped me get a job where she works. Now that I’m working with her, and getting to know her, I want to ask her out.
But she’s currently seeing someone else. Someone who doesn’t deserve her. Someone I know she doesn’t love.
I’m not the kind of guy who would try to break up a relationship, but I am absolutely the type to show a girl what she’s missing, you know, in case her relationship status changes.
This would be a lot easier though if she wasn’t my boss’s daughter.

No, it’s not the book I’m sighing about. The book was great! Another Bardstown romance. But also the final one… hence my sigh.
Asher is the youngest Fox brother, the last one of the “den” in search of the love of his life. And well, he’s got his eyes on his boss’s daughter; Ivy.
But there’s a small problem… She already has a boyfriend, Chad. To be fair, I wouldn’t give a guy like Chad the light of day…
Whilst spending more time with Ivy it seems that she’s not quite happy. Will she see that Chad just isn’t right for her and realize that Asher is the guy for her?
I just love this series and truth be told? I need to know where I can find myself a Fox brother ;)
So… if you’re into small town (spicy) romance, each book it’s own trope? Then don’t look any further! Treat yourself to the Bardstown series!
HOLY CRAP. I’ve read all of Susan’s books and I somehow let it slip that this was connected to an older one. So when I read specific things I was absolutely a trigger for some tears. I LOVED it. Anywho, she has done it again with the youngest Fox brother. Ivy and Ashers story was perfect. A super quick and fun read and hello a little shower steam. Tell me where I can sign up for the next photo shoot! I loved Asher, he was charming, sweet, protective and a fierce lover. While the Fox den may be full now, I am hopeful to see glimpses of the family in the future.
This is the fourth book in Susan’s Bardstowns series about the Fox brothers. This time around is about baby brother Asher. The title of the book, as the previous three, are all songs. I’ll admit, I’m no country music fan, so the music aspect of the books was totally lost on me. I think I knew maybe 2 or 3 songs throughout the whole series. But that certainly didn’t take anything away from my enjoyment of these books. Asher is bartending instead of working at the family bakery. He wants something different, and the woman he’s crushing on just happens to work there. She’s also the daughter of the owner. Between the fact that Ivy Wood is the owner’s daughter and that she’s dating the loser son of the mayor, (his name is Chad, and if you follow BookTok, you’ll get why this is particularly funny.) Chad takes Ivy to his friend’s house parties every weekend instead of doing anything she wants to do. He mostly gets drunk and ignores her. Asher ends up at one of the parties when a friend begs him to get out and meet him. When Asher sees Ivy off by herself, he finds out that she usually ends up getting a ride home most weekends, so he offers to take her home. They end up getting pizza and parking under the stars and getting to know each other. After an opportunity comes up for the two of them to model for a photographer, Ivy decides to break up with Chad. But this goes badly. There’s lots going on in this small town romcom, and it’s a wonderful read. The text messages between the brothers alone make this book worth 5 stars. (The Nair conversation had me laughing my butt off.) There are some obstacles to Asher and Ivy’s romance, but as always, The Fox wins out in the end.
Susan Renee has torn me all the way down and built me back up through all four of the Bardstown books now. Asher and Ivy are the icing on that cake, and wow, I do love them!
The youngest of four boys, we have met Asher in the previous Bardstown books, but it’s time for him to shine. The baby brother, the caretaker of the family, and the one in love with Ivy, but she doesn’t know that yet. Working in her family’s bar, Asher has a front row to her talent, and her horrible pick of men. He becomes her friend. He falls more in love with her, and she falls for him as well.
One thing Ash has in spades is guilt and a healthy fear for his family. He took care of his dad when he was sick. He took care of his mom when she needed it, too. So, when a car accident leaves Ivy needing help, Asher steps up to the plate. When Ivy has an opportunity, Asher makes the decision to let her go. Maybe he should have asked her though?
Can they find their way back to each other? Will love win over the opportunity of fame?
Add this series to your TBR pile now. Get this book. Move them all up your list and read them ASAP. Susan Renee is a master of all the emotions and feelings, but will leave you feeling better and in awe of her ability to bring these characters to life with realness not found in other books. Do yourself a favor and don’t miss it!
This book.. ugh. Anyone else who read her just want to up and move to Bardstown and hope that you can find a Fox boy?
I have now read the entire Bardstown series and man alive.. they just get better! Seriously. How does she do it?
Asher and Ivy... #awww Their story is just so perfect. Truly. It's just fake enough to know you're reading a story, but so well written that you get lost in that said story and you find yourself ignoring the reality and truly getting lost in their world. I was grateful for this advance copy because if you are a fan of hers - you don't want to wait.
Susan Renee has a talent for truly capturing her characters. You can relate to them. On almost all levels. (The whole lottery and money thing is a stretch but the rest, totally believable). I was sad when the book was done but only because the book was done. I cried in one spot. (Ok, I teared up, anyone who knows me knows it takes a lot to make me cry). I laughed, literally out loud and my 5 year old looked at me like I was crazy.
This is one of the most perfect romances I've ever read. And while that list is short, I can honestly say, I'm giving more romance books a chance because of Susan Renee and her talent in this genre.
Ivy is all grown up now. She's the kid from the book SEVEN (I loved you then). That book will break you.
Asher is the last Fox brother to get his woman. But his woman comes with a "Hands Off" warning since she's the boss's daughter. Asher is working at Bryant's bar, and Ivy is tasked with teaching him the ropes. Also, she's dating a guy named Chad. And is he ever a Chad. When Asher kisses her the first time, she's still technically in a relationship with Chad. Will she break up with him to be with Asher? Can they work it out? What will his letter from his dad say? That photoshoot was HOT. Bring a fan to read this book, even if it is about two 23 yr olds. The tears with the scene before Nashville... The bar scene after... This book might make you cry, or cuss, but it's still a great read.
Oh man…the final book for the Fox brothers just made me so happy. While it didn’t pack as much drama as the ones before, it for sure had the emotional punch that hit you right in the gut.
Asher & Ivy just have the cutest of stories. They work at her Dad’s bar together. She’s in a relationship with the douchiest of douche-canoes. Ash cares for Ivy when she needs him. And while there are always bumps in the road, they end the story together.
The best part of this series is the letter from their deceased father. I’ve read it 4 times now….and all 4 times it hits just right. When he says, “how can I help? Talk to me. (Put down the letter and talk to me).” Ugh. Cue the tears.
The series is a reminder that family is everything and to take chances, love hard, and forgive with your whole heart.
I'm not fine.. no not at all. Susan has done it again, I'm crying. This book series has made me cry in every single book. I love this series and I love how well Susan has written these stories. She makes us fall deeply in love with the Fox brothers and the last last book in this series is about Asher Fox, the youngest of them. He has worked side by side with their father and needed to find his own way so he gets a job at the local bar cause he has crush on Ivy who works there but also she is the daughter of the owner of the bar.
Well this story is so good and I love these characters, I'm sad to see this one but I will read them again. Cause it is so good and I would give this book and series ten stars and then some cause it is so good.
I knew going in… after 3 other books… that I was in for an emotional roller coaster. Susan Renee did what she does best. Asher & Ivy was such a sweet story. It will make you swoon, cry, and wish you could be a part of the Fox den.
I loved the little bits of being an author she threw in (the photo shoot and the lawyer Talking about publishing). Can I just say the photo shoot was such an amazing addition.
She does an amazing job with this interconnected series. It makes it so much better when you know all the people in the book on a personal level (from reading their books.)
I have fallen in love with this author and her way with words. Absolutely the best series I have binged in a while.
Somethings in this one just don’t add up… it’s a small town they all live in, yet Asher and Ivy are the same age and never met until right before he started working at the bar???? Also she never met his dad, even tho she brags about the delicious pastries from HIS bakery ??? She literally worked in the bar they all went into for YEARS, but she never met Mr Fox… I wish authors would make things make sense because in this instance they do NOT… the story had so much potential IF things had added up…. I loved Asher he was the biggest softie of them all, his heart was huge and amazing and the swoon….. ivy was also an amazing character.. that’s why it kills me this author didn’t give this story what it deserves…
I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series. Asher is my absolute favorite. I love the badder boys but Ash is the sweetest of the brothers but has carried a lot of weight on his young shoulders. I identify with his situation a bit and it just made me love him more. His love with Ivy is super sweet and just works.
It’s a quick read and a fitting end to the series. I hope she revisits it again at a later time. I love the Fox brothers and Bardstown!
Asher and Ivys friends to lovers story is all the things! Cute, sweet, shocking and steamy. Asher is the baby of the family but that comes with plenty of burdens he's had to carry. His bad boy demeanor is just his armor though because he's really a sweetheart, and Ivy was the one to help it shine through. I am a huge fan of music so I loved their connection came through that. This story is has all the emotions. I laughed, cried, smiled, and swooned all while reading this book. Susan Renee truly never disappoints.
I am honestly at a loss for words to explain how wonderful this book was to read. There were so many different emotions I never wanted to put this one down because it kept me wanting more! While music seemed to be their main connecting point, Asher and Ivy had quite a few others but I'm not here to spoil your read! Grab a book and see for yourself! All I can say is you'll enjoy all the books in the series as each book just gets better and better. Congrats on another well-written book Susan Renee, keep 'em coming!
"Hello. My name is Ivy Wood, and I was today years old when I fell in love with Asher Fox." Ivy isn't the only one; where can I find me an Asher! You'll love all the Fox Brothers, but Asher is the youngest, he's trying to figure out what he wants to do with life, the only thing he does know is Ivy is the one he wants to do life with. This book will have you laughing until you're crying because of the texts between the brothers. And crying because dang it loss is hard! I highly recommend this book and series to anyone and everyone! I received an ARC, and this is my honest review.

Ok this is one of those series I adored, but felt my reviews would be similar so I'm posting at the very end. I LOVE the Fox men, their ladies are great and the family story is heart warming. I cried with each individualized letter because damn Papa Fox he really knew every single time. I love their little community and could probably read more of it, but understand how that could be drawn out. Asher's book seemed a little like that. His story was very vague. Im glad it came full circle and he ended up with who he did, but definitely the least eventful of them all.
Oh my gosh. Susan Renee wrote another rollercoaster of emotions in this book. Asher is very swoon worthy being the youngest Fox. He’s seen what his brothers have gone through and learn from each of them. Ivy is fun to get to know and finally learns what love should be in her life. The family dynamics are, as always, hilarious with the Fox men. Their conversations will have you laughing out loud! This is also an easy story that flows seamlessly. 4 stars only because I want more!!!!!!
I had the privilege to read this as an ARC. This story didn’t disappoint one bit. Asher and Ivy are the ultimate couple goals. I cried 6 times reading this story. I love how this story is part of a series but can be a standalone. The spicy was on point. I loved the Brothers Group Chat. I also loved how Tik Tok, Instagram, and todays music was included. I want to be added to the Fox Den!!!!
And she does it again. My heart my poor poor heart. These brothers have made me feel all of the emotions and asher was no exception. Everything about this book was perfect even the imperfect parts. Dad's letter got me in the feels again each and every letter tore me apart. The ending it fixed me. I'm absolutely heart broken that we have come to the end of the fox family 😪 I'm going to miss them. Another sensational series from the very talented Mrs Renee 👏 👌
Ivy being the boss's daughter definitely makes things difficult for Asher. I like how he branched out from the bakery. Young love is the most beautiful thing. The parties were miserable. The accident was scary. The aftercare was cute. That song was so sweet! Asher's safe space is breathtaking. Both Asher and Ivy hurting upset me. The last karaoke night was heart felt and adorable. I was very upset at the ending. It was too abrupt. The story as a whole wasn't bad at all.
I’m honestly kinda sad now. I love Bradstown and the Fox brothers, but every series must come to an end. Asher is the youngest Fox brother who is crushing on his boss’s daughter. However, Ivy is already dating someone. So, Asher decides to be her friend and show he what she is missing. I adore Ivy and Asher, but boy did they have my emotions all over the place! Take You Home is another wonderful book by Susan Renee.
This book had me ugly crying but in the most beautiful ways!!! There was so much fun, laughter, pure love, and heartfelt remembrance. So much laughter - the boys text messages… Thor… the salad… the card games… I’m laughing all over again! And yet so many tears because this book spoke to me on a different level. It made me really think about some things. So, thank you Susan Renee for giving us Mr. Fox.
If you haven’t read the series, do it! It’s worth every page, every laugh, and every tear!
I liked this book. Ivy and Ash make a cute couple and I like their flirty back and forth. I do wish the timeline had been a bit more spread out, both for the story and the series because it would make it seem more believable. I also felt like the end while it worked, was a little rushed in what problem they had to work through and how it was resolved. Overall, not a bad read and I might read more by the author.
Can I give this more than 5 stars? Seriously! Just when I thought I knew which Fox brother was my favorite, along comes Asher's story and blows it out of the water! The Bardstown series is easily one of the best small town series that I have ever read.
Sad to see this series come to an end! Ivy & Ash were a great story to complete what was an immensely enjoyable journey with the FFF (Fabulous Fox Family) My review for this ARC is heartfelt and voluntary.
Ivy and Ash, where do I start!? There was so much in this story that I loved. The music, the family time between brothers, and the budding romance. Ash was so selfless in his love for Ivy! Guaranteed ugly cry! Such a great ending to this series!
Omg this entire series is absolutely amazing. I loved every second I was reading it. I don’t want to give any spoilers cause I want you to be able to enjoy it all the way to the fullest!!!!! Susan you are a rockstar author and I love your books.
Finished in one day because oh so good!!! Asher and Ivy may just be my favorite! Oh and in all 4 books the dads letter = instant tears and my heart became so full! Susan Renee you nailed this series!
Another great story by Susan! I love how all four of the brothers have gotten their own story. This series is a MUST! You will laugh and cry as you read but the roller-coaster of emotions are totally worth it!
This series.. I absolutely loved it. Every book has been amazing, and this final installment, was no different. Susan Renee has created the perfect small town family, with those forever kind of love stories. Asher and Ivys story has it all. It will make you laugh out loud (chapter 8 omg haha). It will give you all relief feels. And also, be prepared with tissues, because there will be tears. Definitely for me, in the last little bit, I dang near bawled. What Asher went through, helping out with his sick father, I dealt with, in taking care of my mother before she passed. So, reading the letter from his dad, really got to me. And I’m mad at you Mrs. Renee, for getting me all emotional. Haha. Just kidding. I absolutely loved this series. And highly recommend it. It is a great series, and I’m sure you’ll love it.
