She is the creator of the popular webcomic Saint for Rent, and NewsPrints is her first graphic novel. Her favorite things include historical fiction, fat birds, and coffee-flavored ice cream.

It’s a good book for tweens, very cute.

I picked this and Newprints up from the library at the same time, and im glad I did! I liked the first volume, but I feel like the second one really helped expand the world these characters existed in, and I was rooting for the kids all along the way! I also really appreciated the discussion of colonialism and its affect on the people throughout the book, and how things in general get resolved.
