At first I thought it was so depressing. But after reading the whole story I felt it was surprising what Tess had done. I think Alec deserved it. I wonder why people have to be faithful to their partner when they get married. Why they should tell them what they don't want to talk about.

this is probably one of my favorite books, and one of the only ones assigned to me in high school that i ever finished. i've re-read this one a couple of times. to me, this book = captivating.
