After Chess’s family was decimated by loss, it was slowly healed by his brothers finding love and creating families of their own. At one point, Chess thought he’d found that same kind of love, too, but that relationship just wasn’t meant to be. Brokenhearted, Chess focused on his work and family until a chance meeting introduced him to the woman who would change his life forever.

Katy Marks was born into a horrible home with an unknown father and a criminal mother. Her older brother’s protection was all that kept her from traveling down a path she might have never recovered from. A short-lived career in the army ended with the loss of her best friend and nearly cost her own life. Katy knows that the best place to get back to herself is at home in Rojo, Texas.

In the final book of the Conner Brothers Construction series, follow Chess and Katy as they navigate their new lives that are full of surprises and adventure but most of all, family.

Chess Conner has been coming to terms that he may never find his one. His last relationship was filled with drama, he doesn't expect to meet Katy Marks though. Something about Katy has Chess rethinking his plans of single life. That being said though after one fantastic night together Katy becomes a ghost and Chess wants to know why? Can they find their way back to one another or a misunderstanding will keep them apart?

This tied quite a bit into Liberty's and Luke's story. Definitely satisfied my questions for that couple. I really enjoyed Chess and Katy, the chemistry between the characters was fantastic. What a way to end the series, amazing.

This book brings about a good close to the series and even deals with the mess of Liberty and Luke getting together, while some of this family freak out. I liked that everyone talked about this, talked about what went wrong and why and how both sides saw differently with a bit of perspective.

Chess and Katy were very cute together! I loved how they were with each other once their early issues were dealt with. They were on a bit of a roller coaster with all the happenings, but it was the best roller coaster. They faced things head on, even if they had to take a freak out break here and there, had a solid front and looked towards their families for support and got it. I do sort of wish that we could have known the outcome more of the last test.

Awesome

Of course I'm sad to see the end of the Connor series but what a way to go! As usual Cee covers all the bases with immediate family updates and extended family shenanigans. Loved the way this book went so really just read it!

This was the most moving,

Memorable series!
Simply beautiful!
I absolutely loved every insane, crazy, scary, uncontrollable laughing moment ! From the first novel in this series, to the last, I simply couldn't stop reading, laughing or crying, in each novel! (This included the King's Book 15, because Liberty's story is part of the Conners family!) Eight books, yesterday and today, (it's now 130am OMG) but I had to start from the beginning and simply couldn't put down until every novel was read!
The excellent way these can be read as stand alone novels, wonderfully descriptive, Ms. Bowerman, you could pick up anywhere and you seemlessly wrote enough back storyline into each novel that a reader knew about the other family members. But, you did not give away those novels, simply made so, someone who cannot veg for two days straight reading about this amazing family, can pick a novel and not be lost. I went from first to last and loved every moment! But even I wondered what Katy and Chess were having next... Lol!
I loved the epilogues, Paula's was stunning! Each story was so moving and so fun!
I cannot get over how you wrote these novels and never once did I feel as if it was already said, done, or any sameness at all! Stupendous writing!
You kept me entertained for 40 hrs straight, and that was because I couldn't stop! From novel one to the last, I never felt drug along, tired, or flat while reading. Keeping me going so I couldn't stop, and laughed and laughed, truly is a gift!
One simply needs to read this series! Moving beyond words!
I loved every moment!

Chess & Katy

The absolute happiness and delight I felt when I realized I knew exactly who Katy was!? Amazing. This book drew on all my feelings - I laughed (a lot), I stressed, and I even cried. This book was everything for me! What an amazing cast of characters! I love visiting with old friends - and they are all old friends! I couldn’t be happier for Chess and Katy. What an amazing finale for the Conner Brothers series. I love those Conner boys - I’m going to be laughing at their antics for a long time to come! ❤️

I liked the story. I think if you haven't read any of her other stories you may be a bit lost because there are so many characters. I loved Chess. I needed a bit more of the epilogue, just one bit of info.

I wil miss the Conner Brothers

Wow the Conner's went out in a big way. Way to go. There was so so much packed into this book. Cee kept it real showing that real life is far from perfect. With family squabbles and hurt feeling. Showing all sides of the story, and how with time, and love for one
another differences can be over come. I loved each of the seven books in the Conner series. This last book was bitter sweet. Katy and Chess's was a great story. There were twists and turns at every corner. The way the families always came together for each other through happy, and sad times. You could feel the unwavering love for each other. There are plenty of
surprises, laughter and tears. Have a tissue box close by. I will miss not having any more Conner books. There family and extended
families I will miss. I keep saying
after every book that Cee writes is the best book she has written. But she just has this talent in the way she tells the story that I feel I am right there with her characters. Isn't that how a truly good writer tells a story? I can't wait for another of Cee's books in her other series.

so good and I am a fan Baby Conner

This is just so right for the Conner family. They are a good group of brothers and they deserve goodness after loosing their parents. This is the book about Mr. Chess Conner aka baby Conner. The author, Cece Bowerman, goes all out for him. Baby Conner was with Lily, but things happen and he meets Katy and they click. This story has some hilarious moments. When Chess left the doctors office and pulled over to the side of the road and said he was broken, it was just too funny. I didn’t want to give too much away but just read it and you will understand the humor to it. Another scene that’s funny is where Angus and Mace teach Baby Conner not to say things about a woman’s derrière unless asked and never say a woman looks just okay, it’s never a good thing to say. It’s so entertaining. Read On!

Great!

I chose this rating because this was actually a really great book. I really enjoyed all over the characters. This was a book of determination, protection, compassion kindness, falling in love, and being a great person. I really enjoyed Chess and Katherina story. I think they are really great and interesting couple. I think the author did and amazing job and putting these two characters together. The Connor Brothers was a really great series. I enjoyed each and every story. I like the way the brothers come together and help each other. It was really funny the antics and funny stuff that they do. And how they met their wives as well. I believe this was the last book in the series, but I'm gonna keep a watch out anyway. This book was a well written. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers.

Good Book

Chess is the seventh and final book in the Conner Brothers Construction series and follows Chess as he meets the girl of his dreams while at the gym but a series of misunderstandings keep them apart until fate brings them back together.

I really loved this book, it was one of the funnier books in the series and I thought the storyline was brilliant. I loved Katy and her attitude to get whatever she wants however she needs to once she’s decided on it. Chess was also brilliant and I loved how crazy the relationship between the two of them progressed. The story was great and I loved the little twist at the end. My only regret is not knowing the outcome of what happened in the epilogue.

Overall, this was a brilliant read and a book, and series, that I would recommend.

Book 7

Another awesome book by Cee Bowerman. Great characters that you can't help love. Lots love, laughs, some violence and tears. Enjoy

Just a personal note.
As much as I love the storyline of all through all the series. I find you build up a character then on certain parts of their story gets glossed over or fazed out. I'm not sure if this is due to editing or Author feels it's not eravlent enough. As for the reader I want to feel and go through it just like the character.
Example.: Dimiree going through the process picking her own room and moving in. Plus they're other parts too from the other storylines also. Then it my way wishing their stories were longer. 🙂💗

Series finale

Buckle up and enjoy the ride! The finale to this series does not disappoint! In the final installment we delve into the life of Chess, the youngest of the Conner siblings. Chess, a twin, falls for Katy, also a twin. The author does a great job of blending family dynamics, misidentification, rumors, communication issues, romance, and laughter. I love how the author allows for strong female characters without having the males appear as weak. Family isn't all about blood, it's who we grow with, choose, and love.

Chess & Katy - what a whirlwind. Going from running partners to bedroom partners to nothing due to misunderstandings. I especially loved this one because of all the familiar characters and that the discord between the ladies was finally squashed. Lena finally said what she needed to say a while ago but better late than never. I can't even begin to imagine going through what they went through with all those babies at once and Demiree was so sweet even after the hell she went through. Well it was a great series and I'm sad that it's over but I'm sure we'll run into them again.

Amazing

Loved all the Conner Brothers and I am so sad that Chess was the last one. As always, Cee Bowerman knocked it out of the park. Loved Katy and Chess. This family was a joy to get to know. I really liked the surprise at the end. Thank you so much for sharing the Conners with us. It made me laugh (Tavin and the three bets), it made me cry, but most of all it just made me love the characters all over again.

Wow, what a story! The final Conner Brothers does not disappoint. I am so sad to see the end but so glad to see such a happy conclusion. Chess and Katy are another great couple. Cee Bowerman never lets us down with family, love and HEA. I would recommend any of her books to anyone who loves a great story. Thank you for your stories. Last Connor book

Every Cee book is great but this is by far my favorite (until she writes one i love even better). I love Chess. He was ready for his family and i loved how she interwove memories he had with his mom and dad into his experiences as he found and loved his Katy. And the girls - Vada, Brooklyn and Demiree were great. But those bets were also hilarious! Great crying and laughter moments throughout.

Chess is in for the ride of his life!

When you are a twin, there's a chance that you might be mistaken for your twin. That's why it's extremely important to TELL your partner about being a multiple.

Chess and Katy, the universe is a weird and magical place. These two have so many people in common, that it's kinda scary. So many loved and hated characters.

That surprise is epic!

beyond perfection.

There are a select number of authors who are capable of just taking your conscienceless to their story world. This book will do that for you. It’s a great story of romance between Sonny’s sister and Baby Connor all the while giving us glimpses of all the Connors and their families and other friends. It’s a wonderful place to visit. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger. Highly recommend.

What a journey!

I don't know why Im so surprised at how good this book was! Cee has outdone herself. I had been looking forward to Clem , and of course I loved it......But, I honestly thought this book topped them all. It was funny, sad, and loving. What a wild ride from the first page to the last. It was great to see old friends and meet new ones. The tapestry that is the next generation is going to be beautiful.

Amazing!

Chess is the last of the single Connor brothers. When he meets Katy he immediately knows she's the one. They become running 🏃‍♀️ mates, then lovers. A misunderstanding separates them for a little while but when they cross paths again they realize their lives will never be the same!

I loved, loved this story! I loved seeing the gang again. The story's flow kept me hooked. I can't wait for the next generation.

I LOVED this read!

Not your usual review

First off, I highly recommend every single one of Few Bowermans books. The Kings drew me in and the Connors held me down. Chess is a wonderful love story. Not just of the main couple but of the entire family. Every new book I read gives me all the feels. Then I have to re-read them all again. Especially happy to hear about Warren again. He's my favourite. Thanks Cee for sharing this wild and diverse family.

Chess is the last book ( #7 ) in the already amazing Conner Brothers Construction series written by the talented author Cee Bowerman. The final Conner Brothers does not disappoint. This romance was the perfect combination of sexy and swoon with just the right amount of humor. Thanks so much to Mrs. Bowerman! This is Chess ( the baby of the Conner brothers ) and Katy ( Sonny's sister and Brendas friend ). This book has everything and was the perfect way to end a great series!

An OK read. No more, no less. I found the amount of characters involved waaaay too many. I mean, I have read all this series... but not the companion MC series... so, I would be a little lost with the various relationships involved. So odd, I have found that as the series progressed, characters that had been leads in previous books... whom I had liked... seemed to be less... less nice/interesting/likable. Odd.

Still, a good end to the series... and I preferred Katy to Lilly.

Another winner!!!

Love these Conner Men! The only reason I gave a 4 instead of a 5 star this book really deserved is because I wanted the last baby to b a boy. Plus how cool would it have been for one set of identical & one set of fraternal. Ok i 'm getting a little carried away. Loved this story!! It made me want to go back to Finn & read them all over again.
Thank U Ms. B for another wonderful read.

I don't have enough good words for Cee Bowerman

These Rojo, Tx series are amazing. The Knights, the Kings the Connor Brothers are compelling and heartwarming all at the same time. You get pulled in with the first book and then you have to keep going. The sense of family, of community of loyalty is beyond words. I want to live there and I want these people to be my family and friends.

The last connor

Wow what a great book to end the series. This book makes you smile, laugh, feel great with never ending surprises. It was great to see all the families together, the kings, the knights and the connors. Everyone talking again all hurts over. Chess and Katy had a few hiccups but came together and trumped. Great author always writes a great book.
