Aristotle Anderson, private investigator, bounty hunter, paranormal victim. Due to a childhood ordeal, he is able to travel into the ether between worlds to tackle those creatures which prey on mankind – demons, ghosts, unknown evils. And while his personal life is a disaster area, no one can fault his dedication toward his profession. He, along with his assistant, Jasper, and his black cat, Malice, work to rid the world of evil – for a reasonable price.
A murder and an anonymous client bring the investigator to the idyllic town of Cardinal Point, PA, a place of absolute happiness and joy, where everyday life is a breeze and the best of everything is available to everyone. However, the core of this perfect society is rotten, and Aristotle quickly becomes wrapped up in a plot by a demon to kill the families of several key members of the town. On his journey, he uncovers one ghastly revelation after another and begins to question whether or not the demon should be allowed to continue. Maybe these people deserve their fate.
Originally born in Argentina to German immigrants, Rex Hurst was kidnapped by narco-terrorists and sold to a Satanic drug cult in Matamoros, Mexico. There he was subjected to various humiliations and would have been sacrificed in a blood ritual if not for the timely intervention of the Mexican police. He was evacuated to family in Montana, where he obtained his bachelors in Fermentation Sciences and a masters in Philosophy. When not writing, he runs a small vineyard with his wife and six children.
A gripping tale of a truly unique supernatural hunter. Aristotle rolls in with an apathy towards life that is only surpassed by his hatred of evil and its tortures on humanity. In this first book, he is pitted against forces from hell itself, and the reader is left quaking in their boots with each turn of the page. A satisfying, quick read that will leave you wondering what is next for this investigator in the Veil Beyond. Looking forward to book 2!
Epic! That was simply epic. I do love a good demonic book and I'd have to agree with the MC - I'd seriously have second thoughts about helping the town folk. In this instance I think they pretty much got off scott free. My first 5 🌟 read of the year amongst quite a few "almosts". One author I'll definitely be keeping an 👁 on.
Supposed to be the first part in a series. Aristotle Anderson is a weird character with the ability to see things from beyond this world. He is hired to root out a demon from a small town with an evil past. The entire thing switches from evil, to humorous, to gripping. A great story.
