"I'm ready, my songbird. Make your body sing for me."

When I started college, I thought I’d be getting a brand new start. I could finally be Addy Spiro, a normal college girl. I’d stay out of the spotlight and focus on becoming a music teacher.

Boy, was I wrong.

Everyone knows of my parents and my family’s connections. Being a daughter of a retired football MVP and of a CEO of a major video game company is more complicated than I thought it would be.

Just to add to my complications, Kevin Sanders, my crush since elementary school, is in the same college. I’ve tried to forget him but turns out, he’s my next-door neighbor for this year.

I wanted a clean slate, just to be another one of the crowd, to be normal for once. It’s just not in the cards for me.

*
Switching from high school to college should’ve been a smooth transition. I was irresistible to everyone in high school. I was the quarterback, baseball team captain, and homecoming king. Now that I’m in college, I’m a little fish in a big pond. People don’t know who I am. My ego is at an all-time low.

I need that ego-boost, something to make me feel like I’m important again.

There’s this one girl in high school, Addy Spiro, who used to be obsessed with me. She knew my class schedule, would be at all the games, she would be everywhere I turned.

She’s what my ego needs.

I think I’m developing feelings for her, but so is everyone else. I need to show Addy that we belong together. The catch? She kind of hates me. This isn’t going to be easy.

~~~Received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review ~~~
Cute story. Well written and a quick read. The smut was well written too and it seemed really real and natural…believable. I liked that.
Loved Addy and was so nice seeing her go from super shy to going after what she wanted. I tried to like Kevin but couldn’t get over him trying to stroke his ego by using Addy. Can’t say more without major spoilers.
Wanted to give it 4 stars but was getting frustrated when the brother Ricky kept asking her to do stuff she wasn’t happy with just so he could go out with a girl.
First Crush
Addy and Kevin are one of my top 10 favorite couples. They grew up together and Addy has had a crush on Kevin for years. They end up going to the same college where their paths keep crossing. Before long Addy and Kevin have a chance for HEA but misunderstanding s and obstacles challenge their every move. A must read!
Enjoyed reading Addy and seeing her come out of her super shy shell to go after what she wanted. Honestly, wasn't the biggest fan of Kevin but he sort of redeemed himself in the end.
This is a cute, quick read.
This book is so cute! It's a fun slice of college life with great spicy scenes, and I really enjoyed it. I had a hard time putting it down because I wanted to keep reading to find out what happened with next with Kevin and Addy.
I loved their text messages exchanges and the way the two of them went back and forth, especially when they were in class together. Watching Kevin win and lose at his own game was definitely entertaining. The ending had a super sweet payoff, and Addy has a big family, so I'm excited to read more about the other characters!
I had so.much hope ...
Honestly giving this boom two stars seems like a lot. I had hope for it. The author goes back in forth in her wringing between the timetables. That alone was annoying. I get that these two are young aged characters who can't possibly make up their mind seem reasonable but gosh it lacked interest to the point where the story was just dragging. Even the antagonist was just unnecessary. The characters had the means in their hands how to get rid of the bully but for some reason the author decided to drag this storyline. I don't care there's never a situation where a man says to you that since another guy had you he should too and you agree to go on a date or pursue a relationship with this man, especially since your older brother and this man are on the same sports team. Another thing that I found troubling is that the overprotective brother would put his little sister in a situation where she can be used. It was honestly just silly writing. The author should also check spelling
Sorry to say this was a DNF for me. It feels more like a draft than a final copy. Characters are underdeveloped… writing feels a bit choppy. Pretty interesting storyline but in need of editing. DNF.
