Travel P.I. Mysteries #2

Ambushed in the Alps

Rate this book
Angel Doyle, semi-reformed thief and accidental P.I., is back for a second adrenaline-fueled adventure.

Angel and her friend and sidekick, Sidney, are thrilled to get their first official assignment for the Omega Group, a super-secret international P.I. agency co-run by Angel’s mother, former adult movie actress Desirée Chablis. The agency’s mission: to recover a cache of stolen Egyptian artifacts for a prestigious auction house before an international gang of art thieves can sell them at a black-market auction.

With just seventy-two hours to locate the cache, Angel and Sidney are eager to be in the thick of the action. Finally, Angel will get to prove to Luc, the annoyingly hot ex-military P.I., that she’s just as skilled an investigator as he is. Instead, Desirée sidelines Angel and Sidney, making them bodyguards-babysitters for the auction house CEO’s bratty teenage daughter. The only upside to the job is the gorgeous setting. Who can say no to a free stay at a luxurious chalet in the Swiss Alps?

Anticipating a weekend of chocolate, cheese, and breathtaking views, the last thing Angel expects is to find a corpse in her bath. The duo soon faces an ambush, a snowmobile chase, and a literal ticking bomb. By the time Luc rolls up at the chalet, injured and expecting a peaceful recuperation, Angel and Sidney are knee-deep in snowdrifts and dead bodies. Can they escape the mountain before the bomb triggers an avalanche?

When Angel and Sidney were sent by the Omega Group to babysit a whingy sixteen-year-old, Charlotte, for the weekend, in the Swiss Alps, while the rest of the team were recovering Egyptian artifacts that had been stolen, they were unimpressed with their part in the operation. But it wasn’t long before their views changed and the whole weekend took on menace, danger and dead bodies. Angel’s attempt at a warming bath as the snowstorm raged outside saw their first body, staged in the bathtub. After that and the initial panic had passed, Angel and Sidney found bad guys, bodies and back up of sorts. But when Angel’s car exploded outside the chateau, they knew they were stuck. Would they escape the mayhem and madness on the mountain high up in the Alps? Could they save Charlotte?

Ambushed in the Alps is the 2nd in the Travel PI Mysteries by Zara Keane, and it’s a fast paced, full on action adventure – an absolutely cracking read! Angel is a great character, full of sass and impertinence – she says it as it is! I’m loving this series and looking forward to Murder in Monterosso, #3, out in August, 2022. I’ve loved the author’s Movie Club Mystery series with Maggie Doyle on Whisper Island, and first met Angel in that series. Highly recommended.

With thanks to the author for my digital ARC to read in exchange for an honest review.

This second book in the series continues its non-stop action with adventure, humour, family and friends. Again, the story takes us through Europe, mostly in Switzerland this time.
Angel and Sidney don't get their desired PI case but instead are sent to bodyguard-babysit the daughter of an auction house CEO. But when upon arriving at the picturesque chalet, Angel finds a corpse in her bathtub everything changes. A hidden assailant, too many bodies, a snow storm and isolation keeps the story moving as Sidney and Angel use their intelligence and skills to stay alive.
This has become one of my favourite series and I am looking forward to the next book.

I've loved reading about Angel's character ever since she helped her cousin Maggie with a case in the Movie Club series, but her own series is amazing too and so much fun! That Sidney just cracks me up how he's such a chicken as his real self, but when his acting training kicks in, he can really take on just about any persona. I really enjoy him sleuthing with Angel and how hair-raising some of the stuff can be that they get into! Sometimes it's just funny and other times, it's downright nail biting, but I devour it all!

This book was definitely not a disappointment and everything I could hope for in a cozy mystery that's also an adventure. The chalet sounded so creepy cool, and when the bodies started showing up, I wondered who the heck was next! There was a good twist toward the end that I sure didn't see coming, and our Omega heroes kicked into high gear and solved the case. The ending with all the agents present was great, and I have a good feeling they'll start treating Angel and Sidney a little bit nicer now. Luc always did treat them fairly nice, but it was funny when he gave them a weird case which they ended up solving as well.

It was great how the very end of the book led into the next book. Now I definitely can't wait to read it!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book provided by the author via BookFunnel, and my opinions are my own.

One of the best stories I've read this year.
Angel and Sidney get their first official assignment for the Omega Group.

It's a simple no stress job of watching a 16 year old for the weekend because her father is worried something may happen to her after his artifact collection is stolen from an auction house.

And if you believe that ANYTHING involving Angel Doyle is nonstressful?
You've never met Angel Doyle.
"Quid tandem errabis errabis?"

This is the second book in this series, and it's even better than the first.
Great mystery.
Lots of action.
Isolated location.
Can anyone be trusted?
Lots of humor!

I thoroughly enjoyed this fast paced mystery. Instead of a simple job as babysitters/bodyguards to a teen, the pair finds plenty of action with medieval weaponry, costumes, dead bodies, bombs, and more. This well written book is a hugely satisfying whodunit with many things that are not as they seem and a few red herrings. You will not want to miss Angel and Sidney's newest case!

E-book freebie at time of download. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and not affected by the giveaway.

Angel is bored to death working in a yarn shop, longing to join the Omega Group and pining for her housemate Luc. When she and Sidney are informed a local psychic, Giselle Dubois, wants to discuss finding her dead husband, Angel is skeptical but eager to prove herself. Angel and Sidney agree to look for the missing Pierre who may or may not be dead. Their search will take them to Switzerland to investigate casinos where claims to have seen Pierre in a vision. Then the Omega Group has an official job for Angel and Sidney. The pair must travel to the Alps to ensure the safety of wealthy art auction house CEO's teenage daughter, Charlotte after priceless Egyptian artifacts are stolen. The rest of Omega will go after the possibly stolen (possibly on purpose) artifacts. If the artifacts can't be recovered quickly, they'll be sold on the black market and Urs Hauri's family will be in danger. Omega's rival is after the reward money too and in direct competition with Omega. The girl already has a housekeeper and two security guards so this job should be a snap. Is there really any danger or is it all in his mind? The job turns deadly when a snowstorm delays their arrival at Charlotte's school and the girl is gone! She apparently went home on her own. Upon arriving at the mansion in a blinding snowstorm, Angel and Sidney are greeted by a sullen Charlotte with the news the staff all quit a week ago! There's no cell signal and the house alarm has been deactivated. What is going on? It's going to take all Angel and Sidney's knowledge and skills to survive this one even if there's no actual danger.

This story was not as zany and funny as the first one. I missed that humor. The body count was super high for a cozy. There were so many twists, especially one at the end I didn't see coming, I stayed up SUPER late reading this book! It leads right into the third book which I have already read.

I really like Angel. She has a chip on her shoulder because of her family history but longs for love and acceptance from her family. She understands teen girls and is sympathetic to Charlotte but only up to a certain point. Angel makes mistakes but she's only human and she's doing the best she can. She's unarmed and that forces her to think on her feet and use what resources she has. She's quite resourceful and clever. Sidney is sweet. He's a people person and very friendly and open. He has some unusual skills and the reason is charming and funny. He's brave even when he's terrified and very loyal. Luc is kind of callous. He can't see Angel has feelings for him and even plays a sort of prank on her and Sidney. He's friendly and nice enough but can't see that he doesn't treat Angel fairly. Valentina is kind of a mean girl. Angel's mother is awful. She's ambitious and doesn't listen to anyone except her partner who is currently out of commission. Desiree will get them into big trouble they can't handle soon enough.

The Seaside Psychic, Giselle Dubois, is as phony as they come - or is she? On one hand, Angel experiences a strange sensation when Giselle reads her but Giselle isn't telling Angel and Sidney the whole story. Did she really see Pierre in a vision or was it a dream? Pierre seems like he was a decent enough fellow but his grandfather, a billionaire, is a tyrant and a bully. Pierre and Giselle were happily living their own lives when he fell off a boat. I wonder if his grandfather has anything to do his with disappearance?

Charlotte is a moody teen girl. I don't blame her for being terrified and wanting to stay in her room but she needs to listen to the more experienced adults. I do feel awful for her though. Her father is eccentric at best, shady at worst. Urs Hauri must be involved with some shady stuff to be so paranoid about his daughter's safety. He seems to love her and care about her but his collection of antique weapons kind of says otherwise! That can't be safe!

Colin Jones is a scary villain who likes to make threats. They say he's not violent but it seems like he likes to make threats and could be violent if it suited his purpose. Bernard Roulez, a recently deceased arms billionaire has left his family fighting over his money. His priceless collection of Egyptian artifacts was stolen from the auction company and heads will roll if his family finds out. They're already after every penny they can get. They're nasty, greedy, mean people. The not so legitimate ones at least have a good point but yeesh what century is this? The Roulez family seems more like a take it to court type than villainous. They're more in the background.

Maurice, Angel's boss, is a fussy Frenchman who can't stop harping on Angel for not being skilled in needle arts or customer service. He's rude to her but loves Sidney who doesn't even work there. He's frustrated because he isn't allowed to work for the Omega Group right now and he is eager to be back out there. He surprised me in the end and that was a good character development plot twist.

I like this series a lot and hope there are more. I really like Angel and Sidney but not so much the rest of the group.

Zara Keane never fails to get me hooked on her stories. This is the second book in the Travel P.I. Mystery series and it is packed full of adventure. In fact, you start off on one crazy roller coaster of a ride and you just don't want it to stop. I will warn you that this book is hard to set down you want to finish it in one sitting. Well, I did anyway. Angel and Stanley are off on what they think is a babysitting job for a 16-year-old. Little do they know just how hard that job will be and how many dead bodies they will encounter in the process. Can't wait for book 3 to see what trouble they will fall into next.

Copy received from the author for an honest review

Well, that was one suspenseful, dramatic rollercoaster of a ride for sure!

I loved getting back with Angel and Sidney and seeing what mischief that they could get up to - but this time the mischief and intrigue finds them - and leads to a whole lot of red herrings and whodunnits.

It was a case of who can you trust as out intrepid duo are there to babysit a client's grumpy teen... and a case of what you see might not be what you get.

In fact, I think Angel and Sidney did a much better job at private investigating than any of the qualified PI's working for Omega and showed them right up

I liked where the ending took us, setting up for more in the series and I look forward to seeing what trouble they get into next

Ambushed in the Alps is the second book in the Travel P.I series written by Zara Keane and the books are definitely worth reading in order so that you get to see the characters develop and learn to know who is who.

This time around Angel and Sidney take on two cases – well, Luc the hot military guy they share a house with ‘sent’ the first job their way and the second comes from Angel’s mother who is one of the heads of the agency. In the first case, they are trying to find a dead guy for his psychic wife and no, don’t ask why she wasn’t able to ‘find’ him on her own if she was legitimately a psychic!

The second is to babysit the teenager of an auction house CEO whose auction house just had priceless Egyptian artifacts stolen. Said artifacts will be sold on the black market if the items can’t be recovered in time. Add in a competing and troublesome second agency also on the job, death threats, a huge storm, dead bodies turning up, cars exploding and a bomb and this is turning out to be anything but a simple babysitting job.

I enjoyed this story with Angel and Sidney going on the road again and trying to solve not just one but two cases. They have been pretty much side-lined since their last adventure, and they take on one case to make money and the other to get some experience and show that they are up to the task of being investigators and deserving of more cases. The body count slowly rises, it’s a mystery as to who is killing everyone, the storm has them stuck in the weapon filled chalet with no communication with the outside world and there are varying injuries among the team members and a mystery killer or killers on the loose, so it’s not exactly a weekend for sitting by the fire and enjoying a fondue!

This story was well thought out and I definitely had trouble working out who the murderer was. My one complaint was that it wasn’t as funny as the first book which was both adrenaline fuelled and hilarious. That said I really did enjoy the book and seeing more interaction between Luc and Angel. I am wondering what is in store for Angel and Sidney in the next instalment of the Travel P.I series. I can’t wait!

Unputdownable!
Angel is as she would say a semi reformed thief, a wannabe PI and current clerk in a yarn shop in the French Riviera. She has the job due to her mother an ex adult film star and current head of the Omega Group a super secret international PI firm. Angel really wants to be an employee there, her mother wants her safe aka out of the way. The yarn shop along with a couple others act as fronts for the secretive Omega Group. Maurice her boss at the shop takes out his frustrations with her mother and former step father Jerry aka the brains behind Omega on her. He used to be a PI at the firm but a mission went awry and they benched him. One night at a meeting of the yarniacs Luc one of Angel’s mother’s investigators offers her and her friend Sidney a job. The town’s seaside psychic is sure her deceased husband is really alive and she hires Angel and Sidney to find him. Just as they’re making headway Angel’s mother decides to give them an agency case even though she’s been putting off training and hiring them. What is supposed to me an easy job watching a teen in a Swiss Chalet turns into a convoluted mess of murder, mayhem and mystery. Bodies are dropping, the house is cut off, it’s snowpocalypse and the injured are mounting up. Angel and Sidney are going to need everything they have and hope it’s enough to survive.
Awesome, couldn’t put it down, action packed and did I mention awesome?!! Love the twists and turns, the world building is superb and the characters are a quirky bunch who make this story absolutely fun to read and impossible to put down! A must read!

Angel and Sidney finally think they’re going to get a chance to finally become p.i.’s when her mother asks them to help out on a case. Little do any of them know the simple job her mother assigns them to do will turn out to be anything but that! They have taken another assignment along the way, however, so they actually have two cases to solve this particular weekend!

Join the fun as dead bodies and thugs turn up everywhere and things are anything but quiet with a blizzard raging on all around them and no cell or internet coverage to get help from outside. Things and people are definitely not who you are led to believe they are! Put on your investigative hat as it
were and see if you can spot all the clues and solve the cases before they’re revealed!

I recommend this book and it’s predecessor, Knifed in Nice, as two books you really should get! You will soon find you have two new friends within the covers of these books as Angel and Sidney will become a delightful addition to your book friends!!

With the world in a mess we all need an escape and
this series is just the ticket! Zara is a wonderful author with a witty sense of humor as well as the ability to get you really into the book and it’s characters before you know it! The stories are so intriguing that it’s easy to stay focused on the book to its conclusion! I for one am “hooked” on this series and I’m excited to await book three in a few months! I feel certain you’ll feel like I do after you read these two books, so far, so we can all await book three’s release together!

I enjoyed this book. I really enjoy books where the hero or heroine is trapped in the same location as a killer and you have to work out who is behind it all. Although as the only people trapped in the chalet were members of the omega group (and they weren't going to be apart of the plot) I did find it slightly disappointing as no real suspects. I also got a bit confused with the whole stolen artefacts from the museum and who was supposedly involved in that, which didn't help with the suspect list. However there was plenty of explosions, dead bodies and calamitous injuries that I was quite happy to just let it unfold and let Angel work it out. Angel and her side kick Sidney are great characters and I am glad to see they are still together after the last adventures case. Here's to many more to come.
The Omega group is stretched thin in there latest case. With most of the team heading of to investigate stolen artefacts from a museum which are going up for auction, its left to Angel and Sidney to babysit the auctioneers daughter, who fears retaliation for the post items. It should be an easy case but a snow storm, a missing house keeper and absent bodyguards proves to be the least of there worries when they keep stumbling over dead bodies. Who else is in the house? Or if they are truly alone can they trust each other long enough to survive the snow storm?

After having read the first book in Zara Keane's Travel P.I. series I was hooked, so I pre-ordered the next in the series. Having been lucky enough to be a part of Zara's advance review group
for Knifed in Nice, I was sent an advance copy of Ambushed in the Alps and started reading completely forgetting that I had pre-ordered. When I started to write my review I got a notice from Amazon saying my copy was being sent to my Kindle! Oh well, now I have a copy to share !

This is my honest review -
Angel and Sidney had been waiting to get some P.I. training so they could take on cases for the Omega Group when they were offered what appeared to be an insultingly simple task. Pick up a 16-year-old from her school and take her to her father's chalet, where there was a housekeeper and 2 security men in residence, and look after her for the weekend. It appeared to be an insultingly simple babysitting assignment. Easy peasy, right? Wrong! Throw in a tremendous blizzard, missing girl at the school, missing staff at the chalet, no phone service, etc. This is an action-packed story that surprises with every chapter. There is so much going on , but Zara's writing skills allow one to be able to follow it all without confusion. This book is a great read.

Having settled in Nice and awaiting their promised PI training to join Angel’s mother’s (Desiree) Omega Group, Angel and Sidney are bored and unhappy. When they are offered a case involving a possible faked death, they decide to pursue the dubious opportunity. Desiree also taps them to babysit the rich daughter of a wealthy Swiss chalet owner for the weekend. These two relatively easy assignments turn out to be anything but and the two partners find themselves trapped in the chalet in a blizzard with dead bodies, antique weapons and torture devices, and a possible cache of stolen artifacts along with a bratty teenager. Zara Keane weaves an enticing tale with fascinating characters, beautiful and dangerous settings, and humorous incidents to cut the tension. Whether on skis, snowshoes or snowmobiles, the story races to a satisfying conclusion with an intriguing promise for the next book. I am always captivated by Zara’s mysteries and this one was a wild ride that I wouldn’t have missed. Also, check out Knifed in Nice, the first in the series, to find out how Angel and Sidney first met. I’m hooked!

As in the first book a lot happens in this second Travel P.I. Mysteries, Ambushed in the Alps by Zara Keane. It seems like trouble seeks out Angel Doyle along with friend, Sidney. Honestly she does not mean to get into all the escapades that she does. From a sideline job to somewhat missing person case to a babysitting a teen job to murder Angel in in the middle of it all. Even a blizzard does not stop the action in this story but ramps it up more. At least the scenery is stunning at the Swiss Alps chalet. However, not everyone lives to tell about it.

Expect the plot to be complicated, the sassy humor to be laugh out loud funny, Omega heroes and two main characters that you will love. I found myself looking for clues and investigating right along with Angel and Sidney. Not so easy to solve. There are unexpected twists in the story but all comes together nicely in the end.

I highly recommend Ambushed in the Alps along with the first book. Great reading fun!

The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

After trying for a long time to get a job with her mother’s elite PI firm, Angel and her trusty sidekick, Sydney, finally have made it! The assignment is to recover a cache of priceless Egyptian artifacts. Everyone in the firm has a part in this investigation. Angel and Sydney have been given the job of protecting/babysitting the teenage daughter of the man who hired the firm. Sounds easy, right? It couldn’t be more wrong! It all starts with the daughter missing from the boarding school when they go to pick her up and it just goes down hill from there. To further complicate matters, they are stuck in the Swiss Alps in the middle of a horrendous snowstorm! Angel and Sydney provide plenty of laughs as they attempt to deal with everything that gets thrown at them. But even with their inexperience and to the amazement of her mother and the rest of the team, Angel manages to come out on top and solves the mystery. This book will hook you from the beginning and you won’t be able to put it down! I can’t wait to see what they get into the next time!

Another great Zara Keane
Book!! I anxiously awaited
this 2nd book about Angel, Sidney and a host of strange characters. This book picks up a number of months after Angel&Sidney's escapade
to the south of France where Angel unexpectedly meets up with her less than loving mom, the beautiful, Desiree. In an unexpected move her Mom invites them to become P.I.'s in a less than up&up international Private Investigators organization. Their first assignment seems like a trivial babysitting job to an obnoxious teen in the Swiss Alps. You have to read
this very enjoyable book. Experience all the roadblocks& halarious adventures that Sidney& Angel happened to fall into during the blizzard of the century!
Without any spoilers just know that I read this book in just about one sitting. It was that good with lots of chuckles along the way. You will really enjoy Ambush in the Alps! Ms. Keane writes stories everyone will enjoy. I for one can not wait for the next installment.

When I started this book I thought how could this possibly beat the first one, and to my (pleasant surprise) it did! Never a spoiler in my reviews, here's what you need to know: A super fun story with quirky, fun characters, well told with laugh-out-loud moments and plenty of action to keep your attention. All of this makes this book so hard to put down, or find an adequate stopping place...totally kept me up way past my sleep time!

How could a simple security detail/assignment go wrong? Get this book and see how a seemly brainless assignment yields twists and turns and not just one murder but two. This book does fine as a standalone if you haven't had a chance to read the first one, and if you haven't you'll certainly want to go back and do so.

Bottom line: I really enjoyed this book and believe you will too, so take a chance and one click for a fun, well-written mystery that you'll be glad you read.

This book has a level of excitement which equals or surpasses the first one, and it's a locked room mystery to boot (my favorite, I think). Angel and Sidney are working at sales jobs while waiting for their proper P.I. training, and take on an unofficial search for a missing husband - last seen in Switzerland, perhaps. They then get an (official) and easy supplemental job watching over a rich teenager in her family chalet - in Switzerland. Coincidence? When they arrive, however, the two security guards and the housekeeper are missing, there is no telephone or wifi connection, and a snowstorm has them housebound. The discovery of a once-frozen corpse in the hot tub has them on high alert with their only weapons a battery of medieval armaments and their ingenuity. Well done, keeps you turning the pages, and humorous events keep the balance. -I received a review copy and freely leave this honest review.

Angel and Sidney are longing to train as PI's and be a part of the ultra secret Omega PI firm. When Luc, a member of the Omega, is giving them an "assignment" they meet Giselle, who is clairvoyant and looking for her "dead" husband, who she believes is very much alive. She is also warning Angel of imminent danger and to be very beware of a bear. Angle and Sidney get a job assigned to "babysit" for one weekend the young daughter of a client in Switzerland Things are not going well at their arrival in the Swiss Alps and when a severe snowstorm breaks loose, things are getting from bad to worse. Only they don't know that the Chalet is holding horror upon horror (and bodies) and in the end they don't know anymore who they can trust.

The book kept me hooked till the (surprising/exciting) end.

I simply could not stop reading until finished - I love all the characters, but Angel is still my number 1 favorite! She is fallible, maybe unlucky and even downright clumsy, but so clever and so human. I even suspect she's beautiful... or at least pretty. She doesn't trust easily, but she always ends up on top.

This series is very entertaining, surprises crop everywhere and the happy (for now) ending is a favorite of mine. I also appreciate the contained humor - the more horrifying the event, the more eerily calm, even flegmatic the narration, and this dichotomy in the details brings forth a very vivid image of what's going on.

Can't wait for the promise of a new, provoking adventure in the next book to be fulfilled!

Ambushed in the Alps is the second book in the Travel P.I. Mysteries series by Zara Keane. Angel and her trusty sidekick Sidney are excited to finally get their first official P.I. case from The Omega Group, am international P.I. organization run by Angel's mother. Unfortunately, the promised case turns out to be babysitting the daughter for the CEO of an auction house. Upon arriving at the Chalet, a body in discovered in the bathtub, and the bodies keep piling up while they are trapped in the Chalet during a snowstorm. Ambushd in the Alps is full of surprises, twists and a surprising ending. I read the whole book in one sitting, I couldn't put it down.

Angel & Sidney are sent to protect a teenager for the weekend. This is their chance to work for her mother's PI group - but the "babysitting" they think they're in for turns deadly. While they are in the Alps, they are also looking for a missing husband, who had been declared dead several years ago. Both cases lead to the same area - could their be a connection? More team members appear unexpectedly on the scene, after one dead body after another shows up in a locked home - who among them is not to be trusted? Zara knocks it out of the park with mystery and intrigue, with a side of possible romance, and surprising skills displayed by Sidney and Angel.

Another hilarious adventure with Angel and Sidney. They are trying to prove themselves to her mom so that they can be official PIs.
They find themselves on two missions- one to solve and one to babysit a 16 year old. As they try and figure out the case of their client in the way to babysit the teen. There is one mishap after another on their way.

Once they reach the chalet, there is a storm that leaves them stranded, also no way to communicate to others. As one dead body after another begins to collect, Angel is suspicious of everyone- including those on her team.

This is a fantastic mystery to try and solve. Lots of twists and turns. Cannot wait for the next one since the ending leaves Angel with a choice to make.

You can’t go wrong with Zara’s books! She’s done it again, how her mind comes up with these characters I’ll never know.
Angel and Sidney finally get their chance to show they what it takes to be in the Omega Group. Ambushed in the Alps by Zara Keane is an enjoyable read. I enjoyed getting to know Angel, Sidney, and Luc as well as the other characters peppered throughout the book. The reader journeys to the Swiss Alps to see Angel's slow journey to become a private investigator. The chaos that ensues is riveting. When you think you know how the story finishes, Zara Keane leads you down a different path. I am left with more questions than answers until the next installment. Will Angel and Sidney ever become private investigators or will something else get in the way? Will Angel and Luc ever get together? Will Angel and her mom ever get close? And will we ever meet her dad? I am eagerly awaiting the answers to these questions in the next installment of her Travel P.I. series.

What was supposed to be a simple bodyguard/babysitting assignment turns out to be anything but. With the promised staff missing , a major snowstorm and the dead bodies piling up, Angel and Sidney have their hands full. Add in the fact that the only weapons they have accessible are medieval ones and makeshift ones and the assignment becomes very interesting.
With interesting and sassy characters and a storyline full of action, mystery and humor this book is hard to put down. I have enjoyed both books in this series and can hardly wait for book three.
I received an ARC copy of this book from the author and this is my freely given and honest review .

Another exciting installment in this series featuring characters who were somewhat bad and are now trying to be somewhat good along with characters who are rotten and content to remain so. Action does drive the rapid pace with (developing, established and missing) relationships providing depth for the plot. Even though this could be read as a standalone novel, please allow yourself the pleasure of reading the entire series.

Although it was my pleasure to receive this ARC from the author, it was completely my choice to share my honest review.

#2 in the Travel P.I. Mysteries series. Angel and Sidney's 1st assignment for the Omega Group is thought to be the least dangerous in the agency's latest mission and involves traveling to Switzerland to keep their client's teen daughter safe. Unfortunately this pair meets one obstacle (and dead body) after another while a snowstorm strands them in a Swiss chalet. This was another fast paced read with fun characters and dialogue- I am enjoying getting to know more about these characters.
(I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.)
