This is a short audible book but definitely keeps you waiting for what happens next. In fact, I listened to it twice. The story surrounds Maggie Evans returning to Collinsport from Wyndcliff hospital. She is now running the local inn and trying to put her life back together. She meets a stranger who comes to town and immediately forms an attachment to him. He claims to be a ghost hunter and leads Maggie on a mysterious journey into the otherworld. I highly recommend this one, especially if you're an avid Dark Shadows fan and/or interested in gothic mysteries and ghost stories.

An intriguing spooky story but yet quite romantic in a sense. Maggie Evans befriends Nathan Hawkins or rather more known as 'The Ghost Watcher'. A man who can sense the tragedies of Collinsport, but he has a gift to bring to the town, a gift that will turn on the townsfolk of Collinsport. I really enjoyed this one with some intriguing ideas and the brilliant chemistry between Maggie Evans and Nathan Hawkins. 9/10

So far, none of he audio episodes of DS have knocked me over, but this one had a special dose of " what the hell"? The performances were fine, but the story didn't make a damned bit of sense. Not as bad as the Leviathans storyline on the original show, but not going to win any awards either.

This was MUCH better than the prior dramatic reading. Lots of ghosts and some genuine creepiness. This felt like Dark Shadows.

This one was a good, creepy tale, very true to Dark Shadows. A big improvement on "Clothes of Sand,"
"The Ghost Watcher" manages to convey a spooky mood and delivers a smart ghost story, enhanced by Kathryn Leigh Scott's performance. Here, self-proclaimed ghost watched Nathan Hawkins comes to Collinwood hoping to find ghosts and perhaps more. Well, he's come to the right place! Timeline: takes place shortly after the TV series, in 1971.
