This workbook offers a radically different and totally needed approach to money. I highly recommend it. Get one for yourself and give more as gifts so that you can share this transformation with your loved ones.
I found this book at just the right time. Honestly, I am horrible with money. I discovered The Art of Money Workbook first. It popped up in a Facebook ad and it sounded like just what I needed. I went on to read The Art of Money first, which I also loved. However, the workbook really makes you think. I'll say it's taken me longer to get through it because I had never thought of these things before, but it has provided tremendous insight. I'm not exactly where I want to be regarding my money, but The Art of Money Workbook has put some things into perspective. I love it and can't wait to go through it again.
I am firmly behind the idea that the way we relate to a thing (i.e.: money) is based in the stories we have created about it and I love this approach to connecting with our money values through self-awareness and journalling. I don’t personally like books that have spaces to write in because I end up having to throw out the book after or copy the prompts into a journal, but they are thoughtful and designed to enlighten. The thing that I found missing was an acknowledgment of privilege and the systems of capitalism. System oppression and capitalism also play into people’s money troubles and it is hard to manifest your way out of that.
I got this book as a companion to Bari Tessler's, The Art of Money: A Life-Changing Guide to Financial Happiness book. I love the way the workbook facilitates the integration and deepening of the information taught throughout her work. The workbook is great as a stand-alone and also fantastic when paired with the original book.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to feel less stressed and more powerful when it comes to money matters, especially those who appreciate a balanced and whole-person approach.
this workbook is a phenomenal healing resource! a much needed, not to mention so very refreshing, approach to such a taboo topic. i loved and found great value and support in all three steps bari shared — they guided me, held me and rebuilt my entire financial, spiritual, emotional, mental and relational framework from the inside out. i’m excited to continue practicing financial self-care and using these tools. an essential for every adult because money touches everything!
If you're trying to sort out your finances, there is no one better to guide you than Bari Tessler. This workbook is the perfect companion to her first book, The Art of Money. As you work through the exercises, you can start to see where your patterns are holding you back - and how to break them. The result: a healthy relationship with money. Highly recommended!
