A wonderful start to a new series!!!

Tabitha Chase goes to Crystal Cove to sell her late Aunt Lizzie's houseboat after her passing. On her way into town Tabby finds a dead witch and she is prompted to investigate to solve the murder with the help from her aunt's psychic talking cat Sherlock and two local detectives who are interested in her.

This is a wonderful start to a new series, it's a fun and enjoyable read with interesting characters, it's well-written and the plot is pretty enticing. I love cozy mystery with animal and this book does not disappoint me, it's full of mystery, actions, romance, and a psychic talking cat. It keep me entertained from beginning to end, I really like it and am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Tabitha Chase is off to Crystal Cove Oregon to prep her recently deceased Aunt’s houseboat for sale as a favor for her parents. Her father the politician basically strong armed/ guilted her into doing it. On the drive in Tabitha almost runs into a body lying in the road and has a tense encounter with a local detective. During her preparations she starts to feel more and more at home in the town. Tabby can’t help herself and winds up in the middle of the investigation as people seem comfortable not only answering her questions but confiding their troubles to her as well.
A bit of a slow start mostly because Tabby is rather a push over in the beginning. As she starts to be more assertive she becomes a more likable character and the book starts to flow more seamlessly. I like the small town vibe and the quirky characters. If you enjoy quirky cozies this story is for you.

This was a paranormal cozy mystery.

I was not sure if I would like this story because I am not into the woo woo stuff, but I really did enjoy the characters and the story. The author did a very good job of laying the groundwork for this new series and I look forward to reading more about Crystal Cove.

Tabitha Chase was sent to Crystal Cove by her parents to settle her Aunt Lizzie's affairs after her passing. As she is driving into town she runs across a body on the road. It is the former beauty queen and fortune teller/witch. Tabby feels compelled to help solve the murder and gets help from her aunt's psychic cat Sherlock. As she delves deeper into the investigation she finds out most of the people in town are hiding secrets. With the help of two local detectives Tabby solves the case and decides to stay in town.

Witchy Wednesday is a hit!

Tabby (Tabitha Chase), is driving to Crystal Cove to sell her Aunt's houseboat after her Aunt's death. There are several 'adventures' while on the way and after she arrives. A body on the road on the way there. A Psychic Cat on the houseboat helps her find things and to clear her name. And a Witchy cast of characters in this town. I'm not usually a fan of paranormal mysteries, but I can hardly wait for book number two in this Series.

Interesting start

Start of a new series about a young woman trying to get her deceased aunt's houseboat ready to sell. Her father is a politician but the family dynamics is confusing. The characters need more development and there is room to grow. The plot and subplots move quickly and the conversations flow naturally. I look forward to seeing how the storyline develops.

This is a fun new cozy series by Denise that is sure to be a hit with everyone who loves cozy mysteries and a cat that belonged to her dead aunt; who wears glasses and communicates with Tabby in helping her uncover who killed a witch that was lying on the road just as she entered the seaside town of Crystal Cove to sell her deceased aunts’s houseboat! Tabby immediately becomes suspect number one as she is the one who discovered the woman and now she needs to find out whodunnit and clear her name! She meets some local people there and forms a friendship with a young witch who helps her gain a better understanding of the young woman who was killed.

I recommend this book and this new series for I think it’s going to be a sure fire winner! As with Denise’s previous series she includes recipes of goodies enjoyed in the book for you to make and try out for yourself so it’s a win win for sure!

Pick up this book today and get ready to enjoy the fun and suspense as Tabby embraces a new life in a new town that makes her feel that this is finally where she finally belongs!

Tabby has come to Crystal Cove in order to sell the houseboat belonging to her recently deceased aunt

in addition to mysteries surrounding another recent death, she might just be finding the magic of a small town, and a place in it

as for a maybe talking cat, and blue crystals, there might be a few lingering mysteries

whodunnit meets finding her own path adventures

This was such a fun read. I could not put it down. The characters are complex and the story is exciting. The twists and turns are a bit tricky so you really got to step it up if you are going to solve the witchs murder before tabby does. I recommend this fast paced quirky read.

Fun new series with plenty of mysteries to unravel in later books. To learn more about some of the background and other characters, make sure you read the free prequel as well. Tabby goes to sell her deceased estranged aunt's boat but nothing is ever that simple as she now has to deal with mysterious blue crystals, a talking cat who can open cabinets, mysterious appearing items, a glowing crystal ball, a town full of witches, and 2 detectives who both want to take her out to dinner. This is more than the overnight trip that Tabby planned. She discovers a dead witch on her drive into town and there are plenty of suspects. Can't wait for the next book in the series because I'm definitely hooked.

A murder in a small town full of jealous witches, some of whom would not stop at getting rid of one of their own, just so that their own fortunes can prosper. But all appear to have motives, as well as alibis to boot.

What a fun read this is! A great start to a new series, promising a lot more adventure, possibly good friends and perhaps some romance as well for Tabby and Sherlock her now inherited/adopted cat... with eye glasses! How quaint and cute and irresistible. And insightful and intelligent as well. More please!

I enjoyed this fun witchy mystery and think the series is off to a good start. I liked the unusual cast of characters, especially the sassy talking cat and how he got involved in solving the mystery. I wasn't to sure if Tabitha had any magic herself but I am sure we will learn more as the series develops and maybe even find out what happened to her Aunt. Also the problems of owning and selling a house boat added an unusual and unique touch to the mystery and made it stand out from the rest of cozy paranormal mysteries out there. I had guessed who the killer was but it was still fun reading to see if I was right. I have already downloaded another book in the series.
With her dad running as senitor the last thing he needs is rumours of a crazy relative getting out, which is why his daughter finds herself traveling to the seaside town to quietly sell off her house boat. Instead she discovers herself caught up in a murder investigation when she finds a dead body laying in the middle of the road. The dead woman was part of the witchy Wednesday group but that isn't the strangest thing she comes across, as Tabitha could have sworn her Aunts cat talked to her and wants her to solve the murder. The small town starts to feel like home to Tabitha and as she has to stay to get the house boat ready to sell, she can't help but ask questions of the people she meets about the death. Will she find the killer? And why there were blue crystals at the crime scene? Does it mean one of the local witches was involved?

When her eccentric aunt dies, Tabitha Chase travels to Crystal Cove to sell her late aunt's houseboat. One dead body, a psychic cat and two cute detectives later, she finds her life totally changing in ways she never expected.

I love reading cozy mysteries because they give me a chance to relax and just enjoy a story. No adult themes, nothing disturbing, fun background themes, cute pets and a dash of humor amidst amateur sleuthing. The experience is even better when I discover a new-to-me author and series that I enjoy. I hit the jackpot with Denise Jaden's Tabitha Chase's Day of the Week mysteries. Cool cat, fun main character, light witchy theme, humor and some interesting sleuthing. Fun read!

I like Tabitha Chase as a main character. In this first book, I definitely see that there is plenty of room for character development and the author wasted no time in getting Tabby on the path to changing her life. The side characters in Crystal Cove are interesting and fit into the plot perfectly. I adore Sherlock the cat. And the two detectives added to the investigation portion of the story nicely, although I do not really like love triangle situations. One well-known cozy series I've been reading for years has done that plot mechanic to death and I'm just over it. But I get the feeling that the two detectives will figure things out and one will find another love interest and one will gravitate to Tabby. I hope.

A great start to a cozy series! I'm definitely going to continue reading this series!

If you love cozy mysteries and cats, this book is for you! And if you don't, I'm pretty sure you will still enjoy it.

This is a wonderful start to a new series. Tabitha, aka Tabby, arrives in the small town of Crystal Grove, where everyone knows everyone, to sell her aunt's boat. Before she even arrives, she is in the middle of a murder investigation of a witch named Maple. Throw in her aunt's smart, adorable, talking cat, and you have the recipe for a wonderful mystery!

The story is well written with a few twists you don't see coming. The characters are all quirky and I could literally picture them all as I was reading. The characters all have their own "secrets" which could potentially lead to multiple books in this series [here's hoping!]

This book had the perfect mix of everything - mystery, a bit of romance, paranormal phenomena and the developing relationships between all the characters felt very organic. My favorite character was, of course, Sherlock the talking cat. I hope he takes the spotlight in the other books in this series. He was too cute.

I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.

On her way to handle her aunt's estate property, Tabitha Chase stops to help an accident victim. But the formerly pretty Maple May was charming, talented, a fortune teller, and a witch. And her death was no accident.

Aunt Lizzie's houseboat is not quite as Tabitha remembers it (dead in the water and in disrepair), and will not help fund her father's campaign. He will be disappointed in her, again.

Tabitha is not trying to solve the murder, she just feels compelled to help. It also helps take her mind off her disastrous personal life, and the strange things happening on her aunt's houseboat--like Sherlock; the cat who takes care of himself.

This is a light read with an unusual setup. Witches are everywhere, and are so well known that there's an event most of the town attends; Witchy Wednesday. Tabitha is the unknown quantity. Does she have magical gifts? Will she stay or go? What about Sherlock, and Lady of Fortune (the houseboat)?

It's a cozy witchy mystery with so little magic, (and none of it dark), it could be just a fashion statement. Almost.

Arriving in Crystal Cove to arrange the sale of her aunt's houseboat, Tabitha Chase stumbles upon the body of a local witch. Although she had been open to the world of magic as a child, she had allowed her father's prejudices against witchcraft to close her off to her mystical side. She becomes involved in the investigation of the witch's killer and finds that she may have a place to call home.

Tabby is an engaging heroine. Due to her father's political aspirations, she has been controlled and coerced into denying who she is. As she spends more time in Crystal Cove, experiencing some unusual phenomena, she becomes a more accepting person. Her involvement in the investigation feels natural and she works in conjunction with the police. She doesn't unnecessarily put herself in danger as some amateur sleuths do.

Ms. Jaden has written an enjoyable mystery set in a charming small town. Although this is the first book in the series, her characters seem believable and have dimension. I'm looking forward to reading more of this series and getting to know Tabby and her friends better.

Tabita Chase, the daughter of a controlling senate candidate father is sent to Crystal Cove to sell her Aunt's houseboat. On the way to Crystal Cove, she encounters a dead witch in the middle of the street. She encounters two detectives who are so different from each other while trying to investigate on her own to clear her name. Aaron is by the book and has tunnel vision when dealing with crime, where Jay gives a little slack. Both seem to like her in their way. With so many twists and turns and Sherlock, Aunt Lizzy's psychic cat, Tabitha dives into the investigation and meets a witches coven and makes friends. For once in her life, she feels comfortable where she is and she works hard trying to get the boat fixed up for sale and her father is pushing her on this. So many things happen with wonderful threads woven into a great cozy mystery. I really like the characters in this series! I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

I have an addiction to reading. I love books. The issue is for me I often find books that sound good and drop them into my kindle when I can get them for free and they kinda forget that they are there. This happened with this book. I forgot about it... And then a yearly contest comes up at my local library to read for either hours or book count every year.... and then suddenly I am reading even more then I do, often reading two or three books at a time. I was doing that with this one.... then suddenly it grabbed me and said "PAY ATTENTION TO ONLY ME".

At that point I got so wrapped up in it that I was dreaming in the world. Walking around with the characters not in the story but just there. Hard to explain really.

THis is a cute fast read, and yet there is a lot of depth to it. I cannot wait to get more of the series. It took me only about 2 days of reading time.

An interesting beginning.

There was a lot to like in this introductory story, and with Tabby finding herself not just a suspect, but also as a daughter being manipulated by her parents to some extent, she finds a shaky foothold on the Lady of Fortune while she tries to get her life in some semblance of order.

The mystery itself starts off with a bang, and is pursued without much actual police presence (i.e., we don’t see the police station, nor any of the investigation that Tabby isn’t privy to). Add to this some flaky characters, a myopic 👓 cat, and the attention of two detectives, and her parents and boss back in Seattle on her back and, well, Tabby’s got some thinking to do.

Witchy Wednesday: A Paranormal Cozy Mystery is book #1 in the Tabitha Chase Days of the Week Mystery series by Denise Jaden.

Tabitha Chase does not believe in magic. She takes a quick break from her job as a realtor to go to Crystal Cove to sell her late aunt’s houseboat. Things don’t go as planned.

I really enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting. Tabby is an interesting character and her realization that magic does exist is entertaining. I love Sherlock, her glasses-wearing cat. The town is full of quirky characters and I can’t wait to see what is in store for Tabby and Sherlock.

Great characters, funny, and a little sad...A new series by Ms. Jaden I love it. Can’t wait to read more. I read all the Mallory Beck books which is a must read.

When Tabitha Chase heads to Crystal Cove to take care of her Aunt Lizzie’s houseboat there’s a lot she doesn’t expect. One she finds a women in the street. She gets help, but she’s too late. Now stuck answering questions it’s late by the time she gets to the houseboat. It needs a lot of work if she’s going to sell it. It hits her hard that Aunt Lizzie is gone.

When morning comes Tabby learns some things about the town of Crystal Cove.

I highly recommend.

Great start to a new series Ms. Jaden. I first started with her Mallory Beck series.
But a love everyone in this book.
You see Tabitha Chase aka Tabby is on her way to Crystal Cove, Oregon, in order to put her Aunt Lizzie’s houseboat in order to sell. What she comes across on her way into town isn’t something she expected at all. While she’s held up answering questions by several Detectives she wonders what happened to this women? Things get really interesting when he gets to the houseboat, and finds a cat named Sherlock. She befriends several Detectives, and a group of women who are witches.

Buy and see what happens.
