What happens when a group of the most elite soldiers the Canadian armed forces wanted you gone? They’d find away. That opportunity came when I walked in on something I wasn’t supposed to see. Two calls later and I was being shipped back home, but I wasn’t going to go down that easy. I’d fight my way through hell and back to get that spot on Joint Task Force 2.

Problem was, I didn’t expect hell to fight back.

When some douche bag hit on me in the bar, the last thing I expected was for him to be the literal devil. Now he has his sights set on me. How was I suppose to fight Lucifer himself? There wasn’t enough training in the world for that.

Humans. I hated the disgusting little parasites. What my father saw in them I never understood. So when my brother came to me with a bet, I couldn’t refuse. Make the human fall in love with me and Michael would fight by my side. Seemed simple enough.

After all, I was Lucifer Morningstar. God’s most favored angel and heaven’s lightbringer. I ruled over the abyss and played with souls for fun.

How hard could it be to make one hairless ape fall in love?

Wow!!! Mic Drop. Mind blown. 🤯 And on the Seventh Day of the Seven Sin series is Lucifer Morningstar himself, better known as his sin, Pride.

We all know Lucifer and his back story as being a fallen Angel. Lucifer hates humans and thinks they’re pathetic. But his brother, Michael, has other plans.

Now enters Lucifer’s little Warrior, Jordan. Lucifer doesn't expect the way he feels towards Jordan. She challenges him daily, and it’s infuriating to him as she reacts toward his “gifts.”

“It must be a shock to be presented with such a grand gift.”

With my sick sense of humor, I found this to be quite comical. If you want to know this gift Lucifer is talking about, read the book. Lucifer’s pride gets the best of him and is his flaw. All that pent-up energy between the two. I was waiting for my kindle to explode.

“ You are mine, little warrior.”

What an epic ending to a phenomenal series. I fell in love with the series and adore the ending and how it came full circle.

The dark angel meets his match

Lucifer didn't know what he was in for when he agreed to a bet his angelic brother Michael wager -- to make this fragile (in his mind) human female fall in love with him. Jordan was no timid woman, but a sergeant in the Canadian army, and she challenged this beautiful unbeknownst to her dark angel.

What a creative take on this cast-out angel and his relationship with his father, his thoughts on his father's love for humans, and feats, some with a little supernatural ("magical") employed to win over Jordan. I enjoyed reading Lucifer's fall to his growing attraction to this special human.

The symbolism in this story was well executed, and marked with the author's characteristic humor -- who despite trying she can never really hide. Lucifer was charming -- as one would expect of the devil -- yet sweet; arrogant yet indulgent to Jordan, but not above a little sensual, perversive warfare. Jordan, of Hutterites background, had assumed a secular life, leaving her childhood customs behind and what a contrast they were to the sulfuric underworld. How very different, blasphemous irony.

A decidedly a slow burn, and for my tastes, it could have been faster paced as the story felt unwarrantedly prolonged. I was also looking for more spice, but certainly when it occurred it was hot. I did not find the story dark at all, quit accessible in fact.

Lucifer absolutely stole the show; charming, vain and endearing -- hilarious in fact, he was one of my favorites just after Logan in her other series, and a perfect match to a strong-willed and confident Jordan.

"I came to grace you with the privilege of my company."
- Lucifer

Overall, great read. Paranormal couched in reality.

LUCIFER MORNINGSTAR, FALLEN ANGEL, SIN OF PRIDE

The finale of the series has left me speechless, I have liked most of the books and enjoyed them.

However, this book right here is better than what I expected! Lucifer was exactly how I had envisioned him based on little sneak peeks from other books, I laughed so hard throughout the book.

Jordan was what Lucifer needed, she challenges him and is feisty with such strength to be able to take the King himself.

ARC provided un exchange of my honest opinion.

This is Jordan and Lucifer;s story. I picked this one as a standalone and that might be an issue since I feel like more things might make sense if I read the whole series.

I loved this one and am totally looking forward to more books in this series. The authors have done a bang up job of hooking me in and I am so addicted. The easy going banter between the characters kept me hooked till the very end. These authors are all my favorites when it comes to dark romance so I am pretty excited to what they have in store for it. I hope we get more from them!!

Definitely recommending this to all the fantasy romance loving people out there. This tale was a bit shorter than the general books but I loved it a lot and I hope you all do it too!

I have been anticipating Lucifer’s book since I started this collection and Tara went above and beyond what I was hoping for.

Jordan is fantastic woman, being raised in an extremely religious community only to become a bit of an atheist. I love her fire, bravery, and sass - this woman won’t even back down in the heat of an argument with the king of Hell.

Lucifer is everything I had imagined to be but completely different at the same time. His naive arrogance had me roaring with laughter but his willingness to do any and everything to make Jordan happy melted my heart.

These two together, oh my goodness. It’s honestly hilarious. Lucifer would press Jordan’s buttons and she would just press back. But the underlying acceptance of one another was what sold this couple for me.

Tara had me in an loop of fits of laughter and a pile of melted goo with this story. I really loved how she developed Lucifer’s character and matched him up with someone who is the complete opposite as his personality. This story really isn’t all that dark but it isn’t so sweet that it’ll give you cavities. Tara built this world and the characters within it so flawlessly that it felt like a movie playing out in my mind - the character development, plot unfolding, steam and banter were pure perfection. I loved everything about it and think it’s a phenomenal way to complete this series. I can definitely see myself reading this again with hesitations and will be checking out more works from this talented author very soon.

Oh Lucifer, Lucifer, Lucifer... I am at a loss for words on how to describe this "man" and do him justice. He was everything I love in an H/anti-Hero but also so much more than I could have ever expected.

He's the King of Hell and the Sin of Pride, and he definitely embraces both of those roles. He's spent thousands of years viewing humans as the enemy, so it's no surprise that he struggles to understand his feelings for Jordan. But he does understand one thing...Jordan is his 😈, and good luck to anyone who tries to hürt her or take her away from him. Matter of fact, good luck to anyone minding their own business, NOT trying to hürt her or take her away from him 🤣. (D@mn do I love a jealous/possessive "Hero").

Jordan was definitely the perfect match for Lucifer. Intelligent and feisty with an inner strength that was definitely needed to be able to take on the King of Hell, especially when Lucifer doesn't hesitate to fight dirty to get what he wants 😈🥵. Their story definitely had some bumps in the road, but I loved seeing these two come together.

Absolutely loved this book!

" A surprise from the devil. Can't imagine how that could go wrong"

My abs are burning 🔥 - in a good way

Lucifer is so full of himself he is blind to the reactions of others and it shows in so many of his "good" deeds
Michael has one final act to complete -
He knows Luci won't turn down a bet, especially one like this
He picks the target if Luci wins Michael will back him

Jordan (little warrior) has about had it up to there with men and their egomaniacal bull duckey
She never would have said anything - but nooooo big bad baby needs to make sure
Add into that problem she seems to have a really really missing a lot of screws stalker
That's okay though - She isn't going down without a fight

Yeah this has some dark moments, lots of triggers but it was so highly entertaining, one laugh after another, and the sweetest of love stories - Even the king of hades needs someone to love him
One of my favorites in the collection

*there are some editing issues which surprised me

Wow what a ride! Lucifer is definitely the prideful devil I was hoping he was going to be! The King of Hell fits his arrogant self and Jordan is not one to bow down to a douchebag!

I love how Michael is the antagonizer for all these fallen angels, and whispers in their ears challenges or pushes them into situations they weren’t expecting. Lucifer is no different…he is challenged by Michael to a bet. His pride made him believe he could win the bet against his brother because he never loses. Oh the challenges Jordan finds herself in unknowingly was out of control and eye opening for her. These two are both in for the ride of their lives and both set to lose. You really have to read this book to find out what happens!

Pride is the last book in this series, and definitely makes you want more! The whole seven book series was phenomenal and worth reading and rereading! These authors collaborated so well and gave us a world I was not ready to leave. Amazing book & series!

Pride is the final book in the Seven Sins series. This is Lucifer and his little warrior Jordan's story. This story was not what I was expecting. It was slightly humorous, dark and steamy with great world building and I enjoyed it. It was a creative tale as to how the demon prince of Pride fell in love with a human after centuries of viewing them as the enemy. Luci was arrogant, charming yet sweet and his antics really had me amused and at times laughing out loud throughout the story. Jordan was perfect for him as she was feisty and challenged him at every turn. The author did a great job with character development and I loved that these two were so different. Their back and forth banter had me glued to the pages. I really enjoyed this tale. It was a great addition and perfect ending to the series. I would recommend it to lovers of dark romance.

Usually, I have too much to say about anything, but after finishing Pride by T.L. Hodel, I find that I can't find the words. Every sentence that I start just trails off helplessly. This was ... Lucifer just ... he is ... OhMyGods, you won't believe ... And Jordan, well, Jordan is ... so the long and short of it is this: you need to read this book. The only tears I cried were tears of laughter. I don't believe I've ever read such an entertaining and impeccable view of the Devil in my life. And Jordan proves just the woman to take him on. Those of you looking for an OTT obsessive, jealous and possessive hero will clamber over each other to claim Luci as your new and favorite book boyfriend. Who wouldn't want a man (err fallen angel) who threatens to storm the gates of Heaven just to get you back? Seriously, folks, it's just ... just do yourself a ginormous favor and read it.

Pride

Lucifer, the King of Hell, is ready to wage war over the inferiority of humankind. But upon making a bet with his brother Michael, he finds himself attempting to get a human woman to love him. Jordan, a stubborn, strong willed woman is not the one to be trifled with. On leave from the military, she is fierce, and highly unimpressed with Lucifer. How does the king plan on making someone so "inferior" fall in love with him?

I have been DYING to get Lucifer's story. The man that started it all, and is ending it all with this series. I adore Jordan and her fierce nature. She's no push over and suited Lucifer perfectly. The fact he had to actually put in more effort was great, and the pair definitely made the book a five star read.

WHAT. AN. ABSOLUTELY. EXCELLENT. ENDING. TO. THE. SEVEN. SINS. SERIES.

I have no words. I'm still trying to get my thoughts together on how perfect this book was. I think it might be my favourite of the series.

I'm going to be reading all the books again and I'm going to write extensive reviews for each one, but the main point is : YOU NEED TO READ THIS AND THE REST OF THE BOOKS.

If you are a lover of dark romance and PNR romance then these books are definitely for you.

Thank you to Wildlife Marketing Solutions and T.L. Hodel for providing me with an advanced copy of the book in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

Lucifer was portrayed perfectly in this book. His ego is bigger than I have words for. He places a bet with his brother, Michael, yes that Michael. The bet was to get a woman, of Michael’s choosing to fall in love with him. Lucifer couldn’t understand why someone would not want to be around him. In his mind, he’s perfect of course. To anyone else, he’s egotistical, self-centered, vain, and definitely proud. He is the ultimate being of existence in his mind but to get a lowly human to fall in love with him proves harder than he thinks. With an ego as big as his there are bound to be some mishaps and they are plentiful and hilarious. I loved every scene with him, his arrogance knew no limits. All of TL Hodel’s books are amazing and this one is no different.

"you're wrong. I do love a human." I pulled her into my embrace and held her tightly against me. "I love you, my sweet little warrior. you don't need to change to claim my heart"

*cries* *sobs unconditionally*

——— 🪽

hm.
the epilogue was pretty cute, some may agree and some may disagree but I thought it was a cute fluffy plot well molded into a lighter climax.

• 🪽

this is the seventh final book of the seven sins series but I don't think you should dive into it with high expectations and hope for great world building such as ACOTAR, the fourth wing, the shatter me series and etc. it's high on the spice, romance and a bit on the schematics but not so much when it comes to the structure. I think it's fairly well written and told in defined details in some parts, i suggest it’s better to read this when you are bored. as the books progresses the first four books are slightly dark (especially gluttony, phew. then again Marissa is known for super heavy pitch black plots) but out of nowhere it takes a sudden sharp turn and supposedly gets lighter onto the end.

I pondered if Lucifer would be this high mighty, terrifying, unforgiving lord but he's just plain goofy, cute and has major anger issues concerning his ego and pride smh.

Jordan started off as a great character with this fiery, feisty, bold persona of hers.. erm it didn't last long though haha. THOUGH I do guarantee she is the most snarkiest and stubborn fmc in the entire series.

lucifer's jealousy rants and tantrums were the funniest shit I've ever seen LMAO.

here are some of my favourites.

"why?" she snarled. "so you can leave me alone again to go fuck someone else?"
oh, was that what was bothering her? was my fierce female jealous? I kind of liked that. no one had ever been jealous over me.

"what if I had?" I teased. "what would you do about it?"

"I don't know. what would you do if I fucked somebody else?"

my nostrils flared as rage burned through my veins, tightening my grip on her hips.
"who has touched you"

and then, this man goes berserk and loses his shit, tormenting her with questions and more bone crushing grip. my poor girly can’t catch a breath without him breathing down her bloody neck 😭 like buddy. you asked for it 🥹 what did you expect?

that’s not the end of it. this motherfucker proceeds to talk more nonsense with his ass. 💀

"you don't want any other females touching me?" why did that make me smile?

"it's only fair"

"you seem to forget, sweet Jordan. the devil doesn't play fair. but if it pleases you, then my cock shall remain yours"
LMAO the audacity of this man. but it's fine.. right? because he's a fictional character and he's deliciously charming 😍 all is forgiven 😌 we gotta give him a bonus for the limit he was willing to put himself in to have jordan in his claws 🦞

there's a part of a scene in the book where Jordan tries to take lucifer's 🐓 in his full form, hence challenging him, she ends up passing out 😭😭 like.. miss girl

this was a light hearty read. it didn't feel either long or short, enjoyable :)

I was blown away by this book. Lucifer was dark, as you’d expect, but there was so much more to him. He was hilarious, egotistical, brought a whole new level to over the top possessive, and was the perfect representation of Pride. I laughed at so many points in this book, and couldn’t wait to see how it would all play out.

As hilarious as he was, he is still Lucifer. When he determines he will make Jordan fall in love with him, he will stop at nothing to make her see how truly magnificent he is, even if it’s against her will. Don’t get me started on the special gift he gives her 😳

Jordan was the perfect match for Lucifer. She was strong, fierce, and incredibly brave. I loved how she went toe-to-toe with the devil, and never backed down. Their chemistry together nearly mentee my kindle 🔥🥵🔥

Easy five stars for this book, it was an amazing way to complete the series, and I will forever love Luci and his hilarious ego.

You know after reading the 6 books before this book, I never expected Lucifer to be so freaking sweet! I was expecting him to be a little more evil, but really he was just curious and I FREAKING LOVED IT! Who could have known that the King of Hell himself has so many different layers. Jordan, our leading lady, is literally the PERFECT person for him. She is strong and can hold her own and just awesome!

I don't want to go into it too much, but this book is the perfect ending to this series and gives Lucifer the ending that he deserves, even if it didn't seem like he deserved one! I totally give this 4.5 outta 5 star and enjoyed reading it and the rest of the series!

PS: One thing I have loved about these series is Michael randomly popping up every now and then and he was just perfect in this book!

PPS: Thank you to TL Hodel and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly!

Brief summary
Jordan is at a bar when a man flirts with her. Turns out that that man is Lucifer himself. They go on a lot of adventures together, but mostly they fall in love.

I’m a really simple person, give me a anti-hero who’s super possessive of his partner and nicely done steamy scenes and I will love a book. And it was definitely the case of this book.

I welcome with open arms any retellings with Lucifer, I will always read all of them. But I expecially enjoyed this one. I just loved how Lucifer was portrayed in this book. He’s very clueless about humans and he has no idea how they work and how to deal with them. I just adored reading about how descovering humans and trying to interact with them.

Lucifer was very possessive of Jordan and I absolutely loved that. The possessiveness in this book was just everything I wanted it to be and it just really worked for me.

I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion

The last book belongs to Lucifer, the sin of Pride.  He takes a bet with Michael to make a woman fall in love with him. The woman Michael chooses is a tough, stubborn soldier who doesn't take any of his crap. Let's say, his first introduction with Jordan doesn't go well when he leads with, "I came to grace you with the privilege of my company." For having been around 1000s of years Luci has no clue how to pick up a woman. He is the ruler of H€ll, she should be throwing herself at him.
So, he does what any man would do: stalk her, bring her the head of her enemy, and get her arrested. It was funny at times how clueless and frustrated he got when Jordan did not fall at his feet.

Once he has Jordan under his control, albeit barely, he realizes there are many things her likes about her.  The question is if he likes her enough to avoid the apocalypse. Living in h€ll is lonely and both he and Jordan need each other, if he can only put his hatred the human race aside.

So I am so excited to read this whole series of books, but damn how could you go wrong with Lucifer as your ott/jp H!!!! I mean he is arrogance personified but he backs it up. Not once does he back off from what he wants and he plays dirty!!! My only complaint... I need more!!! I want more of Lucy and his female, cuz what woman doesn't love to be called that constantly! lol Jordan, like most of Tara's vertically challenged heroines is so feisty and so stubborn. I mean you have to be pretty stubborn to think you can best the Devil. I also loved all the random characters up and quitting their jobs, I was laughing so hard at those. I just want more plus I really want a follow up to all this!!!! I mean Raphael was acting super suspicious!!! Such a fun read and holy hell the flame levels, hot hot hot!!!!

This is the end of this dark & delicious series that I've enjoyed so much, and honestly, providing Lucifer's story is the best way to wrap things up that's for sure. He's Pride all over the place, and he has no use for humans to be honest, but a bet definitely throws his world into chaos. Jordan was the perfect human for this prideful fallen angel, and frankly, I was so entertained that I couldn't stop laughing throughout this story. Hell, I'm laughing all over again just writing this review because all the fun is still very fresh in my mind, and before I give anything away, I'm going to wrap this review up since I can never do it justice to be honest LOL. T.L. Hodel is a new to me author, but I can assure you that I'll be checking out all of her previous work in the very near future! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I just floved, loved, loved Pride by T.L. Hodel so much that I dreaded the ending while reading and tried my best savoring every page. Lucifer has been the most charming (and vain), and funniest sins yet in the Seven Sins series and Jordan was THE woman/female for him. Match made in heaven, or hell, in this case. Thanks to a bet made with Michael, Lucifer has to make Jordan fall in love with him which he thinks is going to be a piece of cake since he is all that but Jordan proves to be one strong, fierce and striking babe that he has to prove his worth to. Their bantering was hilarious and endearing and their chemistry was obviously off the charts. I truly enjoyed the whole series and Pride was the icing on the cake. Definitely a must-read❤️❤️❤️

What a way to end the series with Lucifer as Pride.

Lucifer has shown us that he can be funny, charming and downright terrifying in all of the previous books. Now we get to delve deeper into his story and see if he can find some sort of happiness.

Lucifer definitely meets his match with Jordan. She challenges him like no other human can. Lucifer’s antics to woo Jordan were hilarious and had me utterly gushing over him. He will do anything in his power to make Jordan fall in love with him. But she’s feisty and fierce and knows just how to put him in his place. Jordan is just what Lucifer needs.

This was a phenomenal ending to the series. It was sweet and sinfully delicious.

My first time reading anything by T.L Hodel, and it was fantastic! I so enjoyed this series. Even though they can all be read as standalone, I would definitely read them as a series. You get much more out of each story. All the authors are new to me and I LOVED that.there were some really steamy parts to this book but it was not over done. The world building was very good and I loved that we finally get Lucifer and that he was funny and snarky..Jordan was the perfect love intrest for him the story of how he fell was interesting and the story flows really well. I also think that this book was the least dark of the series. I totally recommend it!

Enjoyable

Pride was a great ending to the Seven Sins series. It was refreshingly light and I actually laughed out loud quite a bit. The overall story was fun and worth the read as you quickly fall in love with the devil and his Jordan. The book it's self could have used some serious editing, there were a lot of sloppy misspelled words and some grammatical errors; I'm not a writer or an editor but I read up to four books a week and I enjoy well written books. Still a good story and as I mentioned, an enjoyable read.

Lucifer and Jordan couldn't be more opposite. The devil himself versus a Canadian Forces soldier who happens to be female and raised with a religious background. Both have a point to prove, but go about it differently. Lucifer believes that might is right and that brash is better. Jordan only wants to keep her head down and return to her unit. When love is brought into the equation, it's no holds barred, and may the best being win. The burgeoning partnership involves humour, multiple misunderstandings, learning, and growth. One human against the devil for love.

Pride is the seventh book in the deadly sin series and follows King of Hell Lucifer. Lucifer hates all humans and is anxious to go to war over how inferior they are but before he can he makes a bet with his brother Michael to make a specific human woman fall in love with him. This woman ends up being fierce combatant Jordan who is currently on leave from the military. Jordan is stubborn and unimpressed by Lucifer and so he takes matters into his own hands to make her fall in love with him. I don't normally like a lot of paranormal romances but this one was enjoyable and not difficult to follow in terms of plot. Both character are stubborn and have moments of humor. I definitely may give the other books in this series a chance after reading Pride.

I wasn't expecting to laugh so much reading this! That was a pleasant surprise. I did like the back and forth between Lucifer and Jordan the most. Chapters 10 and 11 were my favorites. Lucifer was a cocky gent (to be expected from the actual devil, right?) and I was hoping Jordan wouldn't give in to him so easily. I really wanted him to have to work for it. I usually prefer a submissive female, but not this time. But even when Jordan did give in, she still showed some backbone, just not as much as I would've liked.

I can honestly say they saved the best till last....this is book seven in the seven sins series and OMG....it was amazing!! Lucifer, the King of Hell, is the perfect OTT/Jealous and possessive alpha who i just love!! I really don't want to give too much away, so lets just say it gripped me from start to finish, the writing is amazing and the characters have many layers to them, which made for some intense but humorous interactions at times! 5 star read!!
