This book is a page turner. Opening this book is like sitting down with your friend for a cup of coffee and listening to her life story. Finished this book in one sitting and I just want to find Lori’s house and hug her. Woven into her story are lessons of what the real meaning of family is, and how we can all open our minds to the ways family can bring meaning and love no matter how they are formed. Lori has a writing style that lifts her voice and personality off the page and envelopes you in her personal story with lessons for adoptees and adopters alike. Highly recommend this book!
