The Alpha's Property

Rate this book
Eva: I used to dream about love at first sight and being swept off my feet. Instead, I have a husband who constantly humiliates me and puts me down, and has literally left me stranded at the side of the road. Life seems pretty grim until I walk into the car dealership and the most handsome man I’ve ever met tells me I belong to him.

Aiden: I’ve been waiting a long time to meet my mate, and I could never have imagined it would be someone like Eva. She’s human, for a start, and she’s already married. But dammit, the moment I laid eyes on her I knew I needed her. If there’s even a chance for us to be together, I’ll do whatever it takes to make her mine.

When Eva and Aiden’s worlds collide, it’s more than just their relationship at stake: there’s Preston, Aiden’s Beta, whose mate refuses to commit; Amber, Aiden’s sister, whose trust issues prevent her from embracing the happiness her mate bond could bring; Salma, Eva’s best friend and a Mafia princess who’s being pushed into a marriage to keep her position; Alejandro, Salma’s intended who wants a lot more from her than to share her throne; Melanie, whose eyes are gradually opened to the kind of man her lover is; and Ryan, Eva’s husband who doesn’t want her but doesn’t want anyone else to have her too.

Lives intertwine and secrets are revealed as Eva comes to terms with Aiden’s claim on her heart and soul: is she really ready to be The Alpha’s Property?

Okay I am going to be completely honest!

This book was pure pain to read. So many POVs that are so unnecessary. And it contained a lot of misspelling.

These are the POVs:
- Eva (main character)
- Aiden (main character)
- Ryan Jefferson (side character)
- Melanie (side character Ryans mistress)
- Summer (eva’s young daughter not even older then 4)
- Mrs. Jefferson (Ryans mom)
- Amber (Aidens sister)
- Preston (ambers mate and Aidens best friend)
- Salma (Eva’s best vriend)
- Alejandro (Salma’s later on husband)
- Hotel staff member (not even een side character or important)
- Rose (Eva’s mother)
- Xavier (rival pack member)
- Lady of child services who kidnapped Summer

And I am probably even missing a few more. And with each character in the beginning they all had flashbacks, WHY?? It is so unnecessary and information I don’t need for the story, write a different book if you want those people in the spotlight as well. And the spicy scenes were cringe and how can Eva when they are just getting it on, immediately come? Sticking two fingers inside her and she comes? And the transition from going down on her and taking her is non existent because all of a sudden he is inside her?? How??? when he was just on his knees before her and taking her left leg on his shoulder.

Everything was just so cringe and unnecessary in the middle I actually liked the main story but as everything progressed it looked like the author was thinking of 15 ways to ruin everything on every single page by creating to many disasters.

These are the disasters:
- Salma’s father dying and later on finding out he was being poisoned
- Salma’s father had a mistress
- Eva’s husband Ryan raped her
- Ryan has many mistresses
- Ryan dismissing Summer as his daughter
- Eva being kidnapped
- Summer taken by child services because Eva was kidnapped and Ryan denied she was his daughter
- Melanie getting pregnant by Ryan
- Eva is the daughter of rival Xavier
- Rose, Eva’s mother screwing Ryan
- Ryan blackmailing Rose with video evidence of her with him
- Amber denying Preston as her mate
- Aidens and Ambers mother abandoning them and later finding out their father send her away.

And all of a sudden in the end ALL OF THEM were dreaming or fantasizing about killing Ryan? What a coincidence…

It was like reading someone’s fanfiction and I never read one until now.

This book could have been so good and yet it was so terrible.

There is probably more to it I wanna say but I will leave it at this.

his paranormal romance is twisted, definitely needs a trigger warning for abuse, and has a swoon-worthy Alpha. This is definitely a different read as it incorporates multiple couples, mafia romance, paranormal romance, and taboo subjects. I enjoyed this book and quickly became addicted to Alpha Aiden and his mate Eva. I like the strong women despite the highlighted circumstances and the caring alpha men. The author really wowed me with a twisted story that has a lot going on and so much to follow, but I can't wait for the next book in this series and more fabulous couples.

Eva is a loving mother; she has a two-year-old daughter named summer. Her best friend Salma has saved her more times than she can count. She married a prick named Ryan. Who constantly let her down or make her feel unworthy.

Aiden is the Alpha of the Onyx River Pack; they own a few car dealerships. He has been looking for his fated mate for some time but doesn't believe it will change him. Aiden's Beta Preston is mated to his sister Amber. Amber and Preston are not fully mated yet because she won't accept it. His gamma Ellis is young and eager. This should be interesting.

There are a few storylines in this book that happen simultaneously and quite a few couples to track. This book jumps a little on the timeline. I am more interested in Aiden's human mate Eva and their story than the other couples in the book.

Salma and Eva go way back; they have been friends since college. Salma is a badass woman; we don't get immediate knowledge of her business, but we can assume she is into something as she values privacy secrets and has some awesome talents with weapons. I love that she goes after Eva's husband.

Ryan is a piece of work, and the character in this book will probably be the most hated. I feel bad for Eva and summer. She is a very strong woman but can only handle so much. I'm glad she finally told him to go away.

Aiden gives us the first hints at what Salma is into and how that affects himself, his pack, and his friends. He meets Eva at his dealership, and just wow. He is so nice and so Alpha that it will leave you swooning. Eva is a firecracker. I love her instincts.

Amber and Preston definitely add steamy scenes to this book. When we switch points of view, it is well highlighted, and I love the authenticity of the characters. Eva has a backbone finally, and I'm proud of her. I have to say I don't like Melanie as much as I don't like Ryan. The two of them, in my opinion, can go somewhere else.

Ellis is an idiot and definitely deserves anything he gets for his stupidity. Gah, I can't even handle how dumb he is. This story has several flashbacks from each character. Still, they help with the history behind their actions and decisions concerning current events.

Aiden is the absolute sweetest toward his girl. I love that this big protective Alpha has a soft side. I hate how much emotional and mental abuse Eva had to deal with in her past before Aiden. Aiden is swoon-worthy in this book, and the rest of the devoted males are as well.

This book moves fast. Once it gets going, couples go from acquaintances to lovers, for most of them very fast. Amber and Preston are the exceptions, as they have a history already together. This book gets twisted as new information is presented for Eva, Aiden, Preston, Amber, Salma, and Ale.

How will this complex story end? I can't wait to find out. This book gets deranged as the characters imagine the death and destruction of the prick Ryan Jefferson. Not really necessary to the plot lines and is definitely detailed and sadistic.

This book, despite that sadistic twist, does end happily. This story continues, but it isn't out yet, so look forward to The Alphas Heir and more of the characters we all know and love. I love the playlist at the back of the book.

very confused!

I never leave bad reviews! Never! This book was all over the place I felt like the author had so many stories to tell she tried to cram it all in one book and it didn’t work! She should have stuck with one couple and told their story. The pov switched so much it was hard to keep up with then it was flashbacks. It was a very confusing read. I feel like if she has stuck to one couple and told their story it would have been a good book. As it was it just felt like rambling. I’m all about duel pov but every character has a pov and it switches so much it’s so hard to keep up with. To many stories going on.

Eva's stuck in a loveless marriage until Alpha Aiden sees her and recognizes her as his mate. But what can he do about it when she's human and already married to another man?
Aiden's sister Amber found her mate a long time ago in Aiden's Beta, Preston, but her fear of abandonment means she's kept him at arm's length, and finally he's had enough. Can she take the leap with him before it's too late?
Eva's best friend Salma is a top member of the feared Spanish mafia and she's been resisting her father's attempts to arrange a marriage to Alejandro, part of another mafia family. But maybe her father's onto something after all...
And then there's Eva's husband Ryan - he doesn't want Eva so why won't he let her go? What is he really after?
Full of drama, mystery and steamy relationships, this book is an intriguing take on a werewolf romance with some mafia entanglements added to the mix. The personal dramas play out against a larger backdrop of alliances and loyalties. There was something to relate to in each couple, and I'm not sure I've ever despised a villain quite so much. A great, engaging read.

Really enjoyed this one!
The beginning is absolutely wonderful: finally a book that doesn't start out with finding a mate and being head over heals for each other, but with her (human) being married already. What a twist!
I'm not going to spoil anything, but if you like shifter romance and Mafia but can't quite decide which trope you like better, then this is the book for you!

I enjoyed this story, there are a few love stories going on and a bit of steam. There were some characters I loved and some you are meant to hate.
Well-written. Contains a full stand alone story but still sets up for a second book, witching leaving the reader hanging on an annoying cliffhanger.

I am so sad to be writing this review. I think this book had so much promise in terms of the plot. The poor writing was just so distracting. This made me want to be an editor so badly so I could fix the awkward sentence structure. Maybe I’m OCD and easily distracted by choppy grammar, but I could barely focus on the plot, which at its core was actually pretty good.

One of my biggest issues with this book is that way too much happened WAY too fast at the start of the book. It was like all the main plot points were trying to happen in the first 15 pages. Too many characters with complex problems were introduced immediately. I liked the plot behind the challenges, but I think this should have been two books, one for the alpha couple and one for the beta couple.

The most distracting part of this book was that the internal monologue of the characters sounded like eight year olds. There was no finesse in the writing. Every thought was so sudden and out of the blue, there was no build up to new plot points whatsoever and switches in subject were abrupt and uncomfortable.

I wish this had been more thoroughly edited because I think this could have actually been a good book otherwise.

Also - was this a shifters book or a mafia book?? There needs to be a decision. Trying to do both did not work at all because the two genres weren’t integrated at all. It was like three separate story lines were happening in two separate genres and it made everything too confusing and exhausting to follow.

💛 Book Review 💛

This story was fantastic. It’s told from multiple points of view and each character has their own story going on. It’s easy to follow and had me hooked from the beginning.

The story contained twist and turns that I didn’t see coming in and just when I thought I knew what was going to happen … another twist appeared!!

This book is spicy 🌶️ in all the best ways!!

This book it’s not just about meeting your mate! … it’s got werewolves! 🐺 the Mafia 🔪 friendships 💕 trauma 😢 abuse (both verbal and physical) and so much more …

⬇️ Spoilers below ⬇️

Eva is essentially in a loveless 💔 marriage her husband is a good for nothing, son of a bitch!! Eva is an adorable character with a spine of steel and I admire her strength! Her life has not been easy, but she still powers through for the sake of her daughter Summer!

Aiden is an Alpha Werewolf. He commands with authority and demands respect, but when he meets Eva he turns into a 🐶 puppy!! He’s soft and caring and wants to give her the world … if she will let him!!

Amber and Preston have their own 🥰 story going on and I love how the author made sure it was told throughout the book!

Salma is Mafia and Eva’s best friend! 💕 Their Friendship shows that strong ties really are what make a friendship last!

I enjoyed this book and the multiple point of views.

I really enjoyed the mix of human, werewolf and mafia, and how the storylines intertwine with these opposing groups coming together to support Eva and Summer.

I especially liked how the female characters start off feeling like they are living in a man's world, but throughout the book they start to find their own strength and place in this world. I look forward to reading book 2, The Alpha's Heir, to see how these characters and storylines continue to grow given the plot twists that now plague them.

I think everyone is going to despise the main villain in this book, Ryan, Eva's husband.  I probably enjoyed a little too much all the points of views of the different characters wanting a piece of this villain. And the final outcome of these!

Congratulations to Emma on this debut novel! I want to give a special shout out to Elio for giving her the push she needed to take the leap to publishing! 😉 And all the others who have supported Emma and this book.

Note: there are two editions of this book. I have the first edition, but I suggest reading the second edition that has further editing.

The Alpha's Property:
Holy shit I love Salma!!
I'm glad Eva stood up against Ryan. She slapped Aiden! 🤣 It's very intriguing seeing each person's POV on events and flashbacks. I love how Aiden treats Eva and how Salma protects her and Summer!  I feel so bad for Eva and Summer... and I also felt the pain when Eva snapped at Aiden. I enjoy seeing everyone's story unfold. I'm happy Amber has realized her feelings. I'm glad that Melanie has finally started realizing about Ryan speaking of Ryan my hate for him grows even more...and I kind of dislike Eva's mother as well right now!! Holy crap her father and her wolf!!! Wow... seeing everyone's thoughts about Ryan and ending him is crazy... he doesn't realize how hated he truly is. I love the ending and can't wait to get the next book!

I didn’t like this book at all

It was literally all over the place. We were switching POV’s every second and switching between storylines that weren’t even interesting. Such a mess.

I feel like the author had a lot of stories she wanted to cover and just decided she was going to do it all in one book, but it just didn’t work. It would’ve been better if she focused on ONE couple at a time.

I liked Aiden and Summer and the FMC (Eva) wasn’t bad, she was quite interesting and I liked her. But those were quite the only thing I tolerated from this book.

But, it was just absolutely not for me

Also- I didn’t understand the whole mix between the werewolf and mafia storyline. They absolutely don’t go well together and I just didnt get it.

An interesting read

This story might make you dizzy at first with the sheer number of character point of views that the author includes. The writing itself seems amateur and it is in need of editing for the many typos throughout the book. The character personalities differ like patients in a psych ward. But for all of the imperfections and downfalls, the story is actually surprisingly entertaining. It reads well as a standalone story with a happy for now ending. I can tell after finishing this story that this author has a highly creative imagination and potential. Overall, this story is a interesting read for fans of Supernatural Fiction, Mafia/Crime Fiction, Supernatural Romance, Dark Romance, Fantasy Fiction and Fated Mates Romance stories.

Genuinely disappointing

I won’t be continuing the series there are to many overlapping plot lines with no real character development… the world building isn’t there and conflict just gets tossed at you from nowhere. It feels shaky/stuttered at best. I wish we could have learned things more organically instead of it being forced. The romance is also very similar from nowhere to forever love. It all may have worked better with the three couples’ stories happening as separate books and existing in the same universe. That way each couples’ story could shine in its own right with polite development and they come together for the big fights.

Okay....

So.. total honesty - I liked this enough to finish it but not enough to read the next one. There's a lot of flash backs, and jumping between like 12 different POVs. Standing 8 POVs with a few nameless POVs. It reads pretty quick, there's good smut, plot is there, lots of filler that isn't real supportive of the plot which can get frustrating. This does sort of end in a HEA for now. Which I'm counting as a win for reading all 400+ pages but I won't be going for round two.

TWs include but not limited to:

cheating, financal abuse, physical abuse, and emotional abuse and neglect.

scattered

This is booked number 205 for this year that I’ve read, and to be perfectly honest this is the second maybe third book I’ve given a one star review. The book had too many main characters and everything seemed very scattered overall. I feel like the overall storyline of the book has great promise with strong antagonist. I do wish that the overall theme for the protagonist the main one Eva would’ve kind of followed what was presented in the first chapter as far as her being more strong-willed I feel like she kind of went a little lovestruck so to speak and lost all of her spine. Also sidenote I have never seen nipples compared to as football boot studs……..

This Book Was Just 🤡

This book was good in the beginning but it's to many characters with different story plots. If the author would have broken up the stories and focused on,one couple at a time that would have been so much better.

It also seems nobody has a brain or sees the bigger picture and as you would like to make your characters more human and doesn't mean they have to be stupid. Causing unjust pain to themselves just because they want to be petty or prove a point.

This book hurts my head and I don't know why I continued until the end.

I'm trying to not come off mean but hopefully this constructive criticism can help in future books.

Right so this review is going to sound terribly harsh but WTH IS THIS BOOK? like really what is it?
The whole story is very juvenile and reads like it is written by a 14yr old. And the MULTIPLE povs? They’re is too many characters getting their own chapters, this story should have solely focussed on the FMC and the MMC, not them, their friends, their parents, their ancestors and the ghosts that haunt them. Jesus christ i couldn’t make it past chapter 2!
The hugely spaced out sentences are also unnecessary, it feels like they’re purposely put there to make to book drag on more than it needs to.
I’m sorry, but this book is a huge NOPE for me.

Just too many storylines

While I could follow all the storylines and characters, they all seemed a bit hollow. It would have been a better idea to have these be companion novels, with all the storylines getting the devoted attention they deserve. And allowing us to actually enjoy the romantic build-up instead of sudden "I love yous".

If the book wasn't written thus way I would be intrigued enough to read book two, but I cannot deal with another book in this style of storytelling.

This was one of the most confusing books I’ve read. I DNF’d this book and I usually never do that. The multiple story lines and including the mafia as well as shifters is a little too much. The writing style was also not my favorite and it seemed slightly juvenile. It was hard for me to even get half way through the book. I think the author should have made this a series if anything and should have narrowed down her genre a little bit. The mafia/shifters seemed like she couldn’t pick which genre she wanted to write about so she decided to throw them both in one book and hoped it worked out.

Amazing Shifters/mafia romance!

While I have read a ton of shifter romance novels, this was the first that I've read with the mafia. I loved the story but I do warn you to pay attention. The author includes the pov of the main characters as well as those who are close to them. Personally I love that because it gives me a better understanding of the entire dynamic. It reminds me of an extra steamy Telenovela in all the best ways! I definitely recommend you give this book a try!

I had high hopes for this book after reading the excerpt but found the author was trying too hard to intertwine multiple stories and nothing fully developed too many flashbacks that could have been covered in a brief paragraph and just made the book drag on. The ending was weak and left the reader at loose ends. So disappointed Ps. More proof reading needed to deal with spelling and grammatical errors

The storyline is great and has so much potential. However, the way it is written makes me think it was written by ai, it feels rushed and the internal dialogue is almost juvenile feeling. What makes it seem like ai? Well, the two year old child was given a POV chapter, every trope included, the writing seemed robotic, lacking finesse.

I made it about 65% then dnfed it. I think this story could be great if the grammar and delivery were a little different.

I remembered why I stopped reading this before. It's too mechanical. It's like when you're writing a paper in school and they tell you it has to be 1000 words and you try to make every word count. Even though it seemed interesting, I couldn't make myself read and translate into normal speak. People don't talk like that. If you can get through the first couple chapters and not want to gouge your brain, more power to you lol
