“Win Up to 98% of Your Trades,” by David Jaffee, is a concise (48-page) book on the subject of options trading. (A longer title shows on the Amazon page, but is not on the book cover: “Options Trading: Beginner's Guide to Winning Up to 98% of Your Trades.” Unlike most non-fiction books I have read of late, this one has no opening message or description. Chapter 1 defines options as: the right to sell or buy an asset at a stated price before the expiration date. The author explains that being a trader means enduring the ups and downs of the market, which can take an emotional toll. He asserts that profit trading requires knowledge, discipline, and patience. He advises that it is sometimes possible to negotiate commissions with your broker, and you may find free sign-up bonuses. He provides hypothetical examples to illustrate how to decide when and why to sell options. According to him, possibly the post important skill is mastering when not to trade.
The book is not always easy to follow; in a few instances, terms were used, but not defined/explained until later in the book. The author promotes his online options trading course as a way to learn more information. He also offers trade alerts. The actual advice in the book seems to contradict the title (and cover). The author urges investors not to have unrealistic expectations. In conclusion, the book is informative, but could have been presented in a clearer fashion.
This is a great options trading book. The best I’ve read. In this book, David Jaffee thoroughly details his options trading strategy. I really like this book because the trading strategy makes a lot of sense. You’re selling options on large capitalization companies that you want to own. The author also warns you against trading too large, since options trading uses leverage. By implementing this trading strategy you can win a large majority of your trades. Plus, there is no day trading or guessing chart patterns. This strategy makes sense and it’s one that I’ve recently implemented. Very detailed book with lots of examples and anecdotes and personal trading experiences and options trading examples..
Clear and simple guide to trading options particularly naked options compared to vertical spread.Using VIX as a guide as to when to trade naked put options compared to using vertical spread. Excellent idea of cautiously using your buying power when trading. Need to fear and respect the market.Avoid over trading. I will recommend both to beginners and advanced traders.
There is almost no substance to this book. The title suggests you win 98% of your trades but there is no explanation in the book of how to do that… only to subscribe to a paid service to get 98% winning trades. There’s almost no effort made into explaining option trades and strategy feels like it was done with bare minimum effort, just as a freebie to sell trading signal services.
This ebook is an absolute gem for anyone looking to venture into the exciting realm of options trading. The author breaks down complex concepts into digestible chunks, making it accessible even for someone like me who's relatively new to the game. The step-by-step approach ensures that you grasp the fundamentals before moving on to more advanced strategies. thank you so much David
Should probably be renamed, “Options Trading For Dummies, A Beginner’s Guide” since it provides a very comprehensive introduction to options trading. Even so, it doesn’t get into more advanced trading techniques, for that you’ll need to purchase the author’s options trading course. It’s a great book for the price-books are a great value!
The best options book that I’ve read. It’s concise and doesn’t waste time because it gets right into the topic. Yes, the author mentions his more expensive course and trade signals, but I’m okay with that because this book provides 1000x more value than I paid for it by enabling me to learn options trading!
From the prologue, the author makes it clear that the goal of the book is to get you to take his course. There's good info here, but there's so much left out that he's created a full course about it.
Very small books explains options trading in a simple and practical way. The author focuses more on discipline and patience than quick profits. It is a good guide for beginners
