Jace Callahan had to be going through a midlife crisis. Sure he was about twelve years too soon, but it seemed to be the only explanation for the state of matters. Fresh out of a divorce, the only bit of advice his folks gave him had been to stick it out. Not listening had led him to his best friend’s restaurant and the pity job Travis found for him to do. Now Jace was parenting solo on the weekends in a place he wasn’t even fond of just to get away from all the drama.
Beth Rollins wasn’t your typical twenty-four-year-old. Growing up with super conservative parents made her naïve, and when they disowned her for not thinking the same, her life changed real fast. Things weren’t flowers and sunshine all the time, but after landing a dream job, Beth thought perhaps things were finally going her way. Running into Jace reminded her she wasn’t allowed to have nice things.
When Jace and Beth’s worlds are thrown together again, only one of them remember their past connection. Having already shed her former self, Beth is in no hurry to remind Jace of their history. Perhaps he’ll see her for the woman she is and not the girl they all made fun of in high school. What’s the worst that could go wrong anyway? It’s not like guys like him stuck around long term with girls like her.
Emily Robertson’s creativity started early in life on stage. Now instead of theatre, she spends her time creating worlds on the page for others to enjoy. As an avid reader, she enjoys reading New Adult and Contemporary Romance as much as she does writing them. When her dog isn’t keeping her company in her office, she might be anywhere. She’s recently learned all about baseball when her son took up the sport, playing mom taxi for one of the many activities that’s going on, or binging on some reality TV show she can’t get enough of.

This is book four in The Am ABC's of Love Novel Series and it is Jace and Beth's story. Jace is now a single dad after getting a divorce from his wife which was a amicable agreement between them as they both put there son Max first which was a truly great thing to do for all of them. Beth hasn't had a easy life as her parent's constantly disapproved of everything that she did and in the end they disowned her and then she got her dream job and was hoping that her life would start to get better. Jace and Beth both work at the same restaurant which is owned by Jace's best friend and they had a instant attraction to each other but Beth had so much baggage that she didn't think that she deserved a happy ending ever but Max who is Jace's son proved her wrong as he excepted her just the way she was and he was such a caring and loveable child and even Jace's ex wife approved of Beth for Jace and her son Max which was a beautiful and nice thing to see and I found myself hoping that they could sort out everything and have the happy ending that they all deserve. I love this book so much and found myself turning the pages to see what the outcome would be for them all and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
I loved this book. It's an easy read but a lovely plot.
Beth had a tough childhood of very strict conservative missionaries who would not allow her to experience a normal life. When she refused to continue at Bible College her parents disowned her and left her penniless. Beth had to work very hard to reinvent herself as a talented chef. Her past has left her major insecurities about personal relationships.
Jace and his ex wife realised that their marriage was affecting their son so they divorced very amicably. Now they have a carefully thought out system of coparenting that is working very well, but Jace's parents are still pressuring them to get back together.
Jace meets Beth when he is helping his friend sort out the restaurant that he has inherited. There was an instant attraction but does Beth have enough confidence to be in a relationship?
I enjoyed all of the characters in this book and Max is a delight.
I will be looking for more books by this author.

DELECTABLE by Emily Robertson is the 4th book in the "ABCs of Love" series (a series written by different authors that may or may not have a thread in each, I'm still not 100% sure).
I have never read a story by this author before and if there are back stories to the other characters, it wasn't anything that was obvious.
I like the way this story was written but it was just little bit... flat. Both m/cs had issues that seemed so much more complex than was ever talked about and there is some deception that seemed needless. There is a lot to unpack and yet the suitcase seems like it was only partially packed to begin with.
I didn't hate it and I didn't love it. I'm glad I got it from KU and will investigate the author further. I always appreciate the fact that authors are able to take a vision in their head and set it on paper. I would never be brave enough to do that.
Give this one a try, it could be it was just the mood I was in that day.
I found this to be a cute story. Something that I really liked about it was that Jace and his ex-wife were able to be adults about the divorce, and co-parenting their son. It’s not something that you see or hear about often, in stories or real life. Overall, it’s a good story, but I was expecting a little bit more….Oomph, I guess is what I’m looking for? I’m not quite sure how to word it. I did feel that there could have been a little more detail on a couple things that were part of their pasts, but even then it was just left at that. If there had been even a smidgen more detail or explanation I think that I would have helped the character development quite a bit more. I understood Beth’s background a little bit, so that helped me relate to her in that way. But overall, I’d give this 3.75 stars (rounding up to 4 since we can’t give partial stars in ratings).
Beth has totally changed her life since college, becoming a chef at a new place in town. She meets Jace, who is helping his best friend and owner. Jace has a son, Max, and Heather, a friendly ex-wife as of a year ago. Beth is worried that her background is not good to be around kids, but Max and Jace fall for her quickly. Loved their chemistry and how he helps her get more comfortable in a relationship. Plenty of drama, secrets, twists, a broken arm, bad memories, steam, BFF Marco, an apartment building fire, and much more. So much happening and Beth grows so much in the relationship and new friendships. Great family dynamics compared to what they both came from. Great ending surprise.

Jace has just recently divorced, and him and his ex-wife are amicably co-parenting their son. He meets Beth when she starts as the new chef, at his best friend’s restaurant. Beth didn’t have the best childhood, thanks to her parents, and thinks things are looking up when she lands her new job. Then she meets Jace, and the two become closer, but will Beth let her past get in the way of them being together? I loved Jace and Beth and I couldn’t help rooting for their happily ever after. A terrific story and one I really enjoyed.

This was such a sweet (and spicy) love story. There were times I found Beth a bit over-the-top needy, but given her upbringing, I could understand it.
I loved that Jace and his ex-wife were able to maintain such an amicable relationship and be great co-parents. Max was adorable, and the way he accepted Beth into his and his dad's life was especially sweet. Kids have a way of seeing only the good, and it's a shame we as a society don't typically retain that as we age.
Jace and Beth were perfect together--and perfect for each other. My only complaint about the book is that it ended. I would love to get a glimpse of them in the future.
I though this was such a sweet romance. I loved Grace and how strong she is. She has ovecome so much, and is such a sweetheart. I really adored Jace as he is totally swoon-worthy and such a caring person. The romance between him and Grace is sweet and fun to read about, and Max is such a cutie. I found this book to be fun, entertaining and so enjoyable to read.

I've read several books written by Emily Robertson; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is part of the ABCs of Love Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Beth & Jace; they knew each other in high school but he was in the group that made fun of her. They were thrown together she knew who he was but he didn’t remember her and she wants to keep it that way.

While I enjoyed a lot about this book, I also found the main female character a little confusing. She had a lot going on from her past, which resulted in self esteem issues, but many aspects of the story, and elements of her personality just didn’t gel for me. However, her developing relationship with Jace, his son Max, and ultimately also Max’s mum was enjoyable and worth the read.

Delectable by Emily Robertson is a good, and enjoyable second chance single dad work place small town romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. I like that Jace and his ex-wife are able to maintain such an amicable relationship and be good co-parents.

This is a heartwarming story. Jace is divorced and his family is upset that they didn't stick it out. Beth is disowned by her family. They knew each other from before but she is keeping that secret to herself. This is just a feel good story and I along with other characters were cheering them on. This is just one of those stories that stay with you, or at least me.

This was an okay single parent romance. The story was perfectly pleasant but for me it need a bit more. I liked the characters just fine, but I didn’t really feel like I connected with them. Beth was very skittish and I didn’t like that. It was just okay for me.

Jace and Beth's story was a sweet romance. Jace has an amicably relationship with his ex wife and co parent. He meets Beth and she has a past and is unsure where she fits in this family dynamic. She is shown by Jace and his family and sparks fly. A great read, with emotions, family, acceptance and HEA.

Loved everything about this story. The storyline, the characters and the writing is superb. I also love Easter eggs and how they get woven into stories. I was sucked in and spent the afternoon relaxing and rooting for Jace and Beth. These two are perfect but can they let the insecurities go for their happily ever after. One click this right away.
I loved this sweet, small-town romance with just enough spice. The characters are realistic and what a pleasure to read of ex’s co-parenting so well. The book is well written and very entertaining.

Delectable is a fast paced, drama filled, sweet romance. I liked the characters Jace, and Beth, and little Max was adorable. I enjoyed the story, and I'm hoping we will be getting Beth's best friends Marco's story.
I tried. I really tried. But what does it say about the future of this romance if she forgot he asked her out in the first place. Seriously it felt like I was reading a romance based on Dory meets my first ex- husband so Nope!
A feel good story full of love, friendship and family. A story of over coming your past and fighting your demon's with your BFF at your side. Brilliant.
