I absolutely loved One More Kiss by Loren Beeson. The way she writes is really special. I sat reading this story and felt like I was living it.
The chemistry felt so unbelievably real.
I felt like Damon was saying all those words to me. I was actually sat here smiling so hard as I was reading.
What an amazing thing to do as an author.
And if I continue to read books like this, I'm going to be 100% convinced that love like this does exist, and one day I will find it.

Damon, a divorcee who helped develop a a dating app, has arrived on this island with work and only work on his mind. He is up for an award and hopefully a promotion and after meeting Kate he sees a way he may be able to get it.
Damon and Kate make a pact. She can stay in his hotel and he gets to take her as his date to work functions as if they met on his app. What is better than the app's own developer finding love on it? A tropical paradise vacation goes wrong? I think not!
In this steamy romance, Kate finds herself broke and homeless in paradise. Damon, a tech guru hoping for a promotion and lacking in the dating department, finds himself surprisingly attracted to Kate even though there’s an age difference.
Loren does it again writing some steamy stuff, and I don’t mean a steamy heat index on the island of Topica Bay. 🥵
My romance reading friends, don’t shy away from this indie author. Y’all know who you are that like that spicy romance. No judgement here! This is a destination you don’t want to wait on, especially this summer. Your inclusive trip wherever your reading from includes breath taking beaches and views, waterfalls, lovable characters and friendships, steamy age gap romance….need I say more?
I never read an age gap romance before, and honestly I was a bit unsure if I would like it. However, Beeson wrote the characters in a way that did not feel as if there was that big of an age gap. With a more mature protagonist, the chemistry between Kate and Damon did not feel "inappropriate" or unnatural. I actually liked romance between them and would like to get more insight on their relationship if there is a second book.
My favorite parts beside the island getaway, which also was set so realistic I literally was swept away to the Island Topica Bay, was the friendship relationships! I really enjoyed reading about Brandi and Coraline. They are the ride or die type of friendships anyone would want to have. Also reading the healthy friendship relationship between Brandi and Damon was refreshing, the stigma that men and women cannot be "just friends" was pushed aside and just fun to read wanting to be Brandi's bffl too. My second favorite part, was an actual character flaw. It is not common to read when a character has something that isn't "perfect" about them and I hope more authors bring that to the table. Everyone has flaws, and being able to connect with the character personally was nice for a change.

Damon & Kate!! They were so fun. And this was a sweeeeet slow burn. I loved seeing Damon come out of his broody shell a bit around Kate. & the way he fed her on their date? 😮💨😮💨 Kate is quite a bit younger than Damon & I liked seeing her maturity while also seeing her try to distance herself from her family & figure out what she wants in life.
Damon is everything. Such a gentleman that was filthy at times and handed out the sweetest praise that had Kate swooning.
These two together just felt so natural & I wish I got more of them.

Oh my gosh, where do I start??? I loved this book from beginning to end. The wealthy MMC the broke FMC and their chemistry is on fire! I love how both have heartbreak 💔 to overcome but both find their way. The story is relatable, swoon worthy, and angsty romance. Both are quick whited and have supporting characters on their side cheering them along the way.
Cheers to you Author Loren Beeson for your creativity and ability to hold my attention. I breezed through this book needing to know what happened next.

I loved this book, broody H; slow burn, what is not to like! Then add in the dirty talking and plenty of chemistry, I was hooked. Overcoming past hurts to find their way together, great supportive secondary characters, it was hard to put this book down.

What a fun, steamy read! Damon and Kate's chemistry sizzles on every page. Loved the age gap aspect and I'm always a sucker for a fake relationship story. Romance lovers snatch this one up! This was my first book by the author and I'm excited to read more!

WOW. This book is everything. I’d say I have a new book boyfriend, but Kate and Damon make so much sense that I’m happy to just be a Brandi on the side and congratulate a bitch! It was adorable from the get go with supportive females along with an ever present antagonistic hoe, the perfect amount of crude humor and a slow burn build up that practically singes from the inside out. When I tell you you’ll be on the edge of your seat watching these goofballs align their stars to each other, I am not exaggerating. Get on the nearest flight to Topica Bay, take a chance and always ask for one last kiss 💋

I ATE this book up! WOW!
I received this book as an ARC and once I opened it up, I couldn't stop. Day one, I was in the zone and next thing I knew I was halfway done with the book.
This witty, sexy, and totally relatable book features Kate, a privileged 23 year old taking a break from an engagement she doesn't want and a family who expects her to fall in line. Desperate to escape her life, Kate high tails it to Topica Bay to relax and figure out what she is going to do with her life. After finding out what she did, Kate's mom and step-dad tell her she has to come back immediately or else they'll cut her off. Not ready to throw in the towel, Kate uses what money she has saved up from her flight attendant job and roughs it in Topica Bay at the cheapest motel she can find. Determined to have fun, she finds herself swearing off men. Okay, so she also downloaded a dating app when she got on the island. Kate's only looking for fun! She didn't think anyone would interest her, only to run into our male main character.
Damon Carlisle is the epitome of successful, handsome, and a complete workaholic. He's 35 years old, and recently divorced. He doesn't like to think about his ex-wife and her betrayal, but the hurt she caused still lingers. Damon is the top app developer for his company and is up for a promotion that will bring him to London for a year. He just has to get through this company retreat in Topica Bay first. His friend all joke with him that he's too serious and needs to find a woman for him to flaunt to his CEO in order to seal the deal on his promotion.
On the company trip with his best friend, Chuck, and his wife ( also his best friend) Brandi, Damon finds out that Brandi made a fake dating profile for him on the dating app he developed. Having run into a beautiful, free spirited, younger woman on the island, he sees that she is in his DM's ( okay so Kate got a little tipsy and said a few things... can you blame her? he's HOT!) and thinks maybe she is the answer to his date problem. The two agree to meet up the next day and when Damon sees that Kate is staying at the worst motel on the island, he decides right then and there that she cannot stay there. Packing up her things, Damon tells Kate she can stay at his hotel, have anything she wants, and all she has to do is be his date to his company events. Hot, rich, smart, and willing to let her stay with him for free while he spoils her... Kate is absolutely, 100% down to fake date Damon.
Some of the highlights for me were the simple things like the text messages between Kate and her best friend, just acting like any normal person would. And the pop culture references throughout left me with a grin while I read. But there’s were some really insightful quotes throughout the book that had me feeling like I was truly learning a life lesson.
For example:
“Well, that’s the thing. When other people force their expectations on you, it makes you question everything about yourself. To the point that you start wondering if you’re making the right or wrong decision about even the tiniest things.”
Okay Loren, I didn’t expect to get that DEEP within my romance fantasy 😭
This book was addictive, full of funny banter, and truly a great summer read. Kate breaks out of her oppressed ways and finds not only love, but true friendship within Brandi. I can't wait to see more from Loren Beeson!
I received this book as an ARC and once I opened it up, I couldn't stop. Day one, I was in the zone and next thing I knew I was halfway done with the book.
This witty, sexy, and totally relatable book features Kate, a privileged 23 year old taking a break from an engagement she doesn't want and a family who expects her to fall in line. Desperate to escape her life, Kate high tails it to Topica Bay to relax and figure out what she is going to do with her life. After finding out what she did, Kate's mom and step-dad tell her she has to come back immediately or else they'll cut her off. Not ready to throw in the towel, Kate uses what money she has saved up from her flight attendant job and roughs it in Topica Bay at the cheapest motel she can find. Determined to have fun, she finds herself swearing off men. Okay, so she also downloaded a dating app when she got on the island. Kate's only looking for fun! She didn't think anyone would interest her, only to run into our male main character.
Damon Carlisle is the epitome of successful, handsome, and a complete workaholic. He's 35 years old, and recently divorced. He doesn't like to think about his ex-wife and her betrayal, but the hurt she caused still lingers. Damon is the top app developer for his company and is up for a promotion that will bring him to London for a year. He just has to get through this company retreat in Topica Bay first. His friend all joke with him that he's too serious and needs to find a woman for him to flaunt to his CEO in order to seal the deal on his promotion.
On the company trip with his best friend, Chuck, and his wife ( also his best friend) Brandi, Damon finds out that Brandi made a fake dating profile for him on the dating app he developed. Having run into a beautiful, free spirited, younger woman on the island, he sees that she is in his DM's ( okay so Kate got a little tipsy and said a few things... can you blame her? he's HOT!) and thinks maybe she is the answer to his date problem. The two agree to meet up the next day and when Damon sees that Kate is staying at the worst motel on the island, he decides right then and there that she cannot stay there. Packing up her things, Damon tells Kate she can stay at his hotel, have anything she wants, and all she has to do is be his date to his company events. Hot, rich, smart, and willing to let her stay with him for free while he spoils her... Kate is absolutely, 100% down to fake date Damon.
Some of the highlights for me were the simple things like the text messages between Kate and her best friend, just acting like any normal person would. And the pop culture references throughout left me with a grin while I read. But there’s were some really insightful quotes throughout the book that had me feeling like I was truly learning a life lesson.
For example:
“Well, that’s the thing. When other people force their expectations on you, it makes you question everything about yourself. To the point that you start wondering if you’re making the right or wrong decision about even the tiniest things.”
Okay Loren, I didn’t expect to get that DEEP within my romance fantasy 😭

First of all..

We’re halfway through the summer here in the States, and if you haven’t found that perfect summer romance read yet, with plenty of steam, I implore you to give One More Kiss a try! You will most certainly laugh and need a fan because Damon and Kate bring the heat, and their friends, Chuck and Brandi, (who I’m hoping end up with their own story) bring the laughs.
Some of my favorite scenes:
– Damon and Kate’s meet cute at the bar
– Damon teasing Kate underneath the table
– Damon and Kate exploring the Falls (this scene I think solidified them as a couple, for me.)
– the tent scene (you’re going to need a fan for this one!)
I really liked Kate and Damon as a couple. I loved how they couldn’t get enough of each other and I loved how open and honest they were with each other. I wasn’t a big fan of Kate’s decision towards the end, but I think I understand where she’s coming from and I appreciated how quick she realizes she was wrong. As hysterical as they were, Brandi and Chuck came through with some solid advice at just the right times. I loved how they interacted with Damon and bonded with Kate so quickly. While reading this book, I kept picturing Brandi as a Jennifer Coolidge.

I received this ARC for Review. I loved the plot and the cover is really hot. At first, I had a little bit of a hard time getting hooked, but that's how it is with some books, but once you get to the turning point where everything just gets so great that you can't even put the book down it's a wonderful moment. And I fell down that rabbit hole happily. I just couldn't put the book down, I was devouring it.

THE GOOD 😀
I always look forward to a Loren Beeson book; she knows how to write a killer storyline with extremely likeable characters and One More Kiss was no exception. So different from the Betting On Love series, this book had an almost magical and ethereal feel to it, and I soaked it up like a big ass sponge.
When events back home push flight attendant Kate to take an extended holiday in idyllic Topica Bay, she didn’t expect for the trip to change her life so completely. Upon meeting Damon (mother may I, this man was fiiiiiine 🥵) she finds herself drawn to him and wanting to know more. When they agree to a fake dating situation in order to help Damon out at an upcoming work event, the intense chemistry between them grows.
I adored everything about these two characters and their journey from strangers to friends to… well you could probably guess. Damon’s vulnerability was at the forefront of the story, and the fact that he didn’t shy away from it or try and act all macho made his character that much more compelling. Kate, with her socialite style upbringing, just wanted to get away and find herself, without her mothers interference.
From the first chapter to the last, One More Kiss was an absolute joy, and I adored getting to know these complex and likeable characters.

That I’m currently on holiday and haven’t ran into a hot, broody app developer. Is there a certain place they’re hanging out??

I was hooked from the very first line… like seriously I was like wait what! 😂 I devoured this book in 24hrs.
You’ll laugh, you‘ll want to cry, you’ll even get angry but every emotion is totally worth it. You’ll find Swoon-worthy moments & steamy moments that made you blush. The Praise in this book is 🤌💋 perfect. The novel is wonderfully written and smooth no confusing moments and no sidetracking. Hands down one of the best romance novels I’ve read this year.
Kate is on a mission to find herself and stay away from boys.. but no one said anything about staying away from men, and when she doesn’t she meets her soulmate.
She is a sweet girl who is a little confused and while trying to find herself she falls in love with Damon. But falling in love makes her even more lost than before.
Recently divorcee Damon is not really interested in another woman. He’s married to his job always has been. But when she comes along everything changes. He proposes a fake dating contract but the lines quickly become blurred. His work has always been his priority And when He stops wanting to go in early or having the urge to work he knows ge can’t let her go.
“You don’t have to do anything or be anyone you don’t want to be, alright? Just be Kate.” Just be Kate.”
My favorite supporting characters are definitely Brandi & Chuck they are the type of friends you want on your side. They’re fun & pushy & love you unconditionally

But when Kate’s stepfather cuts her off financially, her plans dissolve before her very eyes. That’s where Damon Carlisle comes in. Grumpy, intelligent, and devastatingly attractive, Damon is everything she shouldn’t want and can’t have.
But when Damon offers to room with Kate during the duration of their stay, she’s not really in a position to say no. Kate wanted a no boy vacation, and Damon is determined not to fall in love ever again. But as Kate and Damon get to know each other, the lines begin to blur, and then disappear entirely…
First of all? This story was one big *major swoon.* I’ve always thought that Loren Beeson is a wonderful writer, and this book was absolutely no exception! I loved everything about Kate and Damon’s story. Their banter had me cackling, and at times, the sexual tension was so thick I wanted to throw my kindle at the wall. I also really loved Damon’s best friends, Chuck and Brandi.
Kate. She’s such a sweetheart, honestly. She’s got this kind of innocence about her. I loved Kate because she was a little quirky and a little awkward, which meant I could really relate to her. I was also really proud of her once she learned to stand up for her wants and needs. Damon. He’s had a rough time of it, and he didn’t think he’d ever find love again. I was so happy to see him proved wrong by a certain Miss Katelynn Harris. Damon was an amazing MMC, and I’m definitely adding him to my book boyfriend list. Kate and Damon are truly perfect for each other, even when they were both denying it. 5 freaking stars!

They meet when Kate decides to take a break from life and go on vacation. She is a flight attendant whose stepdad is wealthy and want for her to get married to someone both he and her mom has chosen for their own selfish reasons. She is unsure of moving forward with this wedding even though they are moving full steam ahead, and decides to go on a 2 week vacation against their will and without their knowledge
Damon is on a work trip where he is being awarded for a dating app that he created. His company is treating he and his coworkers to a fabulous 2 week trip on the same island that Kate is visiting. They meet on the 1st day and both recognize that there is an attraction. He unfortunately is just coming out of a divorce and needs someone on his arm during the vacation in order to win over the CEO of the company and score a big promotion. This is where Kate comes in.
SHE has been cut off from her wealthy family since they found out that she is on a vacay. She needs a better place to stay with better conditions so Damon proposes that She stay with him and pretend to be his date during the work trip. Things get a lot serious and at the end of the 2 weeks they have decisions to make.
Damon at 1st came off as a little nerdy but once he got with Kate the alpha in him came out. I loved the way he took care of her during the trip, it reminded me a little if Pretty Woman the movie. I also loved that the author allowed them to be separated for approx 10 months after they professed their love for each other, so that Kate could gain some independence and find her footing. In the end they get their HEA.

After reading, and loving, the Betting on Love series by Loren Beeson, I was happy to hear that she had book one of a new series coming out and I quickly signed up for a chance to read an advanced copy.

Hold on, hopeless romantics because this book is for you!
This book was such a fun, light read with a dash of spice. We have Kate who goes on a last minute vacation to take a breather from her life’s problems. She goes to Topica Bay, a small island, where she meets Damon who is 12 years her senior. They start hanging out together and Damon needs a date for an award he’s receiving so Kate agrees to be his date, but of course they agree it’s purely professional… until they start developing feelings for each other and it gets complicated.
I really liked the story, the way the characters were so fun and nice, we have Kate who had to learn from her mistakes and become who she really wanted to be and fight for what she desired. I also loved how there’s a playlist at the end of the book and it really matches the book’s vibes. ♥️

This book was such a fun, light read with a dash of spice. We have Kate who goes on a last minute vacation to take a breather from her life’s problems. She goes to Topica Bay, a small island, where she meets Damon who is 12 years her senior. They start hanging out together and Damon needs a date for an award he’s receiving so Kate agrees to be his date, but of course they agree it’s purely professional… until they start developing feelings for each other and it gets complicated.
I really liked the story, the way the characters were so fun and nice, we have Kate who had to learn from her mistakes and become who she really wanted to be and fight for what she desired. I also loved how there’s a playlist at the end of the book and it really matches the book’s vibes. ♥️

So many times in books, the strong woman is described as being rude or a fighter or something along those lines. In One More Kiss, we meet a main character who is strong in the sense she is going against everything she has been taught and finding her own way. She wants freedom and has a set of rules to follow if she is to find that. Leaving behind traditions no matter how toxic can be devastating when it can cost you your family. This is one of the most relatable strong MCs I have read and we can all see a little bit of her in us.
We meet a LI, determined yet heartbroken with only success consuming his mind. Luckily for him, he has two strong opinionated best friends who desire to see their friend live again. He is married to his job but with the looming pressure to let loose and have fun, this trip could make or break his future.
A work retreat for one and an escape for the other, the gorgeous island brings a little magic to life for them both. Be prepared for some laughs, some jealousy, some heartbreak and some steamy scenes! Though there is an age gap, there is no creepy interaction but playful banter between the two. I know I will definitely be looking for waterfalls on my next vacation!

This was a fake dating, age gap and close proximity trope.
Damon has won an award and has a team get away for few weeks. He is still getting over his cheating ex wife. They're all headed to Tropical Island for a few weeks.
Kate, is running away from her mother's expectations of being the perfect daughter in their high society. She is being forced to marry for business. She needed to get away and find herself. So he goes to Tropical Island.
This is where they meet accidentally.
The story follows them both in finding themselves and finding true love along the way.
I loved the best friends and their characters. It was a perfect mix.
I'm writing this with a smile on my face because it was such a wonderful love story. One that I can see myself watching during Christmas. You know every love story has to have an airport scene and you sit there crying because they made it in time haha.
The characters were so easy to connect with and feel their sizzling connection.
This is one of those books you read to clear your mind from dark romance books.
It was a perfect mix of humour, fun, emotional, heartbreak, some drama and sizzling heat.

Honestly, this slow burn is a solid 4.5 ⭐ and the build up to Damon and Kate given in is so totally worth it. Damon is a workaholic who is divorced because his wife thought he worked to much. He's considered a dull guy by his co-workers because work is what he does.
Kate is 23 and looking for her independence. She has the weight of her family future riding on an arranged marriage she doesn't want with a man she doesn't love, and an overbearing mother and demanding step father breathing down her neck. She decides to take a couple of weeks, man free to herself in Topica Bay for R&R...until Damon shows up when she's vulnerable. These two butt heads, stir up passions, and create heat that only the sun can rival, but nothing can come of their time together. That's until the kiss, then the second, and one more turns into just one more.
This book is one that you want to put on your list. It's hilarious, it's sexy, it's sweet, it's perfect. Its an age gap, fake dating, romance with an eager to please MC!😍😍

This book is so much fun! I honestly cannot remember the last time I laughed so much while reading a book. One More Kiss will make you laugh, cry, angry, and at times so incredibly outraged that you have to put the book down and take a moment (Kate's family I'm looking at you...)
Kate is feeling unsure and wants to get away from her family and the pressures she faces so she takes a break to the beautiful Topica Bay where she quickly meets the grumpy Damon. Damon is facing his own pressures and needs a fake date to get the promotion he wants.
Kate is quirky and a little awkward which makes her so relatable. Damon has his own scars that have made him mistrustful and doubtful that he'll ever find love again. I think the best side character of the year has to go to Brandi though. While this book would be great without her the fun and hilarity that she brings makes it an amazing book. She reminds me of Lula from Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, especially the beach scene.
I absolutely love the fake dating trope and this book is one of the best that I've read and I will always recommend it. I can't wait to read more of Loren's books!

This was the perfect read for the summer. It was funny, steamy, and the characters were great. It helped me escape reality for a bit as I felt I was with the characters, Kate and Damon in Topica Bay. I could picture the beautiful island scenery. I enjoyed getting to know them as they each struggle with different things in their lives. On the outside, it may seem they have it all and are perfect, but we learn that they are not. They each have their insecurities which makes them realistic. Kate grew up in a wealthy family but her parents are cold towards her and have expectations that do not align with Kate’s goals. Damon has worked most of his life to be a successful app developer but realizes he is still not happy. He even admits he barely has social skills and does not like giving speeches. These insecurities and how they both open up to each other is what makes me love them as a couple. They are attracted to each other but also make the other feel special and worth it. It was fun to see their development as a couple, and I also like their friends Brandi and Chuck, who are hilarious. I hope there is another book as I want to escape to Topica Bay again!

She really grew throughout this book, learning to stand up for herself.
In comes Damon.. a rich divorcée, who is up for a promotion and would benefit with a woman on his arm!
Each have been through different heartbreaks but learn to trust again with each other.
The chemistry between Kate and Damon was wonderful and watching them fall for each other in such a quick time made my heart so happy. Damon’s mouth is filthy.
