Stella doubled with Maxwell is out on the field on their first solo murder case and what seemed to be simple turns out to be a quite difficult case to break. The plot is well put together and keeps the reader's attention from the beginning to the end. The characters are believable as well as most of the situations described. The story has a lot of twists and turns and so many difficulties for the still very new agents that even the reader sometimes feels this one they'll not be able to break. But a personal note at the end of the story leaves Stella astounded and heartbroken. A very good and entertaining story. As a member of the author's ARC team, I downloaded a free copy of this book and this is my honest review.

Can't stop reading

These books a good, before I realized it I finished the book. Thank you for making the books easy to follow (you could start at book three and not be confused about who the characters are and what is going on). Ms. Strong's writing flows really well, once you start a book you won't want to stop reading.

I read the first 4 books in this series. Books 1 and 2 are my favorites. Also, books 2 - 4 are very similar, with the main character being attacked while on duty. The audiobooks make the work day go by fast, but I would not take time to read them in my downtime.

An easy read. It was good but I thought more would happen with her dad’s disappearance. I was excited for her and Maxwell and now that’s ruined lol. The end was interesting and foreshadows for the next book.
