Lot of Great Information

Lot of Great Information

I appreciate the fact that Amina Waynes discusses the history and the differences between Hoodoo and Voodoo, and outlines six very major differences.

The author further states that a spell alone does not make magic but serves as a tool to aid in our power's release into the universe so that it may carry out its task, and that it is our energy and vibrations produced by our intentions and desires that will get the results we want.

The author discusses the history of Voodoo Rootworkers, their beliefs, some Hoodoo essential supplies, and the magical power of crossroads. Additionally, she discusses how to establish ancestor and family altars, and how to maintain them.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It contains a great deal of information on Hoodoo practitioners, spells, and other aspects of rootworkers' beliefs, customs, and practices. A great book for not only beginners, but anyone who has an open mind to potentially learn something different.

The book tells the history of Hoodoo and the process, battling myths and explaining methods to using the practice, such as finding lost belongings and finding the opening paths through life. Hoodoo is a custom from Africa, brought to North America and Europe, who combined their own influences to the custom. There is a note that original Hoodoo is not meant for everyone.

The book is instructive and provides a thorough background on what Hoodoo is and how it's used, ending with example spells people can try - following the method with the right equipment - such as protection from negative energy and finding the desired job.

Great Book

It’s a really good book it’s very detailed I want to read this book again and become more familar with working with my ancestors
