A nifty little book. I bought a physical copy of this book as reading it on a kindle was frustrating - I wanted to get into the book and have a go.

The blurb gives a great description of what you get.
This is definitely not a book for beginners, more for confident learners.

The contents page lists lessons on 5-minute breaks. 10-minute breaks and 15-minute breaks. If you have listened to Coffee Break Spanish Podcasts, these exercises seem to be based around the end of Season 1 onwards, with most of it being based around Season 2/3 level.

The exercises are varied, from word builder to mini-grammar & idiomatically speaking as well as a lot more. Really pushed my knowledge to the edge but also rewarding when I got through some sections relatively ok!

There are banks of vocabulary and phrases to help you throughout. The answers are easier to find in a physical book, being on grey paper at the end of each section. On a kindle that part was a nightmare!

Overall an enjoyably challenging book which fits easily into my bag. It will get a lot of use!

These books that offer various exercises, constructed in different ways and aimed at making us remember the words of the foreign language and its grammatical construction, are designed for those who already know the language and want to improve or brush up on it, but are not suitable for those who want to learn it from scratch.

I received from the Publisher a complimentary digital advanced review copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.

Me guste mucho esto libro. Es un buen libro para practicar el español. Después 7 meses, he podido entender y completar todos los ejercicios. Soy contento de haber comprarlo, era útil cuando tengo 5 o 10 minutos libre al mercado, al hospital o al escuela esperando mis hijas. Buen trabajo a coffee break y espero que habrá otros libros más difíciles para mejorar el mi nivel.

If you've studied the Spanish language in school and regretted not carrying on with it then this is the b{ok for you. Because I already knew all the idiosyncracies of the Spanish language I was able to pick up the phrases etc. Having said that if you are new to the language and just want to pick up phrases you can use on holiday then this book will help you too. I have found when abroad that the local people really appreciate it if you try to speak their language even if you make a couple of mistakes. It shows that we don't all expect everyone to speak English.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book

This book provides a nice way to consolidate any language learning that undertaking. There are a number of 5, 10 and 15 minute activities that build your skills. 5 minute section includes vocabulary building, mini grammar challenges and guided translations. My favourite is the guided translations.
10 minute sections include: jumbled letters- word recognition, number focus and reading. Whilst the 15 minute section includes, reading, guided writing and grammar.
All in all the books will help improve any learning that you undertake during your breaks. Well worth the investment.

After spending an interesting lunch with a Spanish friend and her mother who spoke no English I realised I really needed to learn some Spanish.
Unfortunately this book wasn’t for me who needs to build on my basics. Personally I think this is more suited to the GSVExplorer student learning the language. I don’t want to be able to write in Spanish I Want to speak and understand it.

I have stumbled through what exercises I could in this book, given my current level of Spanish knowledge. I hope that I will be able to complete the remaining exercises at some point, should my skills become advanced enough.

Sorry but I didn’t get on with this at all, this didn’t feel like it made learning Spanish easy.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
