Rate this book
The Princes of Allura have found the loves of their lives. Now, their children must discover a love of their own.

Falling For You:
When Thaddeus escorts his cousin, Avyanna, to a two-week party, he didn't expect to meet Amirah. He also didn't plan on falling for the beautiful girl. But the secrets and pain they both hide may crush their fragile love before it can even begin to bloom.

Like Never Before:
After having had her heart broken, Brylee vows that she will never love again. Lachlan wants to redeem his past mistake. When circumstances throw them together once more, Brylee must decide what is better to hold on to: anger or forgiveness.

Before You Go:
Hiding from Ronan the Thief, Bridget and Kara have their lives as controlled as they are able. The last thing they want is for two young knights to come tromping into their lives. Yet Silas and Everett may just be the answer to all their problems--if they will only let them in on their secrets.

With deep truths, lighthearted banter, and a lovable cast of characters, 'A Love Like Ours' explores the truth about love and will leave you with a smile on your face.

Anna Augustine always does it right. I was granted the opportunity to beta read this book, and I reread/skimmed through the paperback copy when it came so that I would be prepared to write a review.
In short: this book is amazing and totally worth the read.
In long: READ THIS BOOK. Anna Augustine has an amazing world, beautiful characters, and thrilling plots. I think the plots in this book are even better than the ones in book one. I also like these characters even more. It's like each collection gets stronger.
I am a huge Augustine stan and I will push this book on EVERYONE.

Anna has done it again!
A Love Like Ours is a fantastic novella collection that will draw you in from the first page. The characters are absolutely fantastic! Loved them all so much! The love is the cutest!! It felt a bit fast but I understand that it is a novella.
Overall, this collection was beautiful. You will be swept into a world full of danger, adventure, romance, fun characters, and intrigue.
I look forward to reading more by Anna in the future!

A Love Like Ours combines sweet romance, intriguing plots, and hilarious banter to make this beautiful book! I really enjoyed all three novellas, though my favorite is probably the first one, "Falling For You!" I just loved the story and how Thaddeus was deaf. It was really cool to see a book include a character like that, and he was so sweet and caring! All of the characters were lovable and distinctive enough that you didn't blur any together. I looved how we saw the main characters from the previous book, "When You Found Me," in here! They all got cameos as the parents and it was so cool to see! I think I liked the first book a little more than this one, but A Love Like Ours was still very enjoyable! I feel like the romance moved too fast in all three stories, but they are novellas so I understand, it just made it a little hard to believe at times. But besides that, I really enjoyed this book and am excited to read more of Anna Augustine's books!! I recommend this book if you like medieval fantasy without magic, sweet, clean romance, messages of faith and forgiveness, fun stories, and a cast of lovable characters!!

In the mood for a light-hearted, romantic read you can just escape to? Well, look no further than Anna Augustine’s new release, A Love Like Ours! This collection of novellas is the sequel to her first novella collection, When You Found Me. Each story is a fun, sweet, clean romance full of heart, faith, and endearing characters. Overall, I think enjoyed these stories even MORE than the first collection! 😍

It was harder for me to pick a favorite couple/story this time. At first, I was pretty set on loving Thaddeus and Amirah the most. I absolutely loved how Anna wrote him as being deaf 🥺 My heart went out to him so much and I just wanted to hug him. But then I ended up really enjoying the last novella about Silas and Bridget/Everett and Kara. I loved the fact that there were two love stories happening in that one, plus I always love any sort of Robin Hood retelling. ❤️

This perfect for both teens and adults, and for fans of Melanie Dickerson’s fairytale retellings and Jody Hedlund’a medieval YA books!

“I smiled, deciding that my apprehension about men, mothers, and meddling maids could wait a few hours. For now, I was simply going to enjoy my art in solitude.”

“A Love Like Ours,” by Anna Augustine, is a charming sequel to, “When you Found Me”. This time, we get to follow the next generation of royalty, as they explore how they fit into the bigger world of Allura.

Thaddeus and Amirah’s story was my favourite, perhaps because they’re both artsy, though in different ways. Augustine takes the time to get to know her characters so deeply that it never takes long for me to feel like I know them as well. And without fail, they lead you into fun, witty stories that are engaging and leave you with a deeper theme to chew on.

As an additional easter egg, I always love discovering which well known storyline each couple's story is crafted around. (Ex: Silas and Bridget's is based on Robin Hood.)

It’s difficult to put down a good book once I get started, so I like that short stories let me enjoy the full range of characters, plot, and romance, without losing unhealthy amounts of sleep. On the other hand, some of my friends avoid anthologies because it seems to end just as you fall in love with the characters;
Anna has found the perfect fix. Each of the three stories in this collection can be read and enjoyed on their own but you are also welcome to keep reading, and dive deeper into Allura and it’s people.

Anna Augustine does it again! After I finished gawking at the cover (it’s absolutely stunning), I dove headfirst into this book and never resurfaced until I finished (which means I stayed up way too late, but it was every minute!) In a word, it was AMAZING!

What I love most about Anna’s stories is that while they make me laugh, they also help me hope. She does a beautiful job of blending charming story and authentic character elements with a timely message. I am a staunch Allura fan…I read through these stories in one sitting, sigh happily, and then flip back to page one to read them again. (I’m serious; this is how much I love these stories! They are comfort books for me!)

In this collection, Thad and Amirah’s story on being worthy of love along with Brylee and Lachlan’s story of forgiveness struck closest to home for me. My heart breaks and mends again right alongside the characters, and I’m all here for it!

It was great to see the original princes of Allura make a cameo appearance, and I loved exploring the cousin angle and their bond…mess with one of us you deal with all of us. :)

Also, I just have to mention this: Silas and Everett…I adore this duo. Their banter is hilarious! Literally friendship goals right here. #iykyk

Anna Augustine’s stories are always favorites of mine and A Love Like Ours is no exception!

*gives book a bajillion stars*

Thaddeus, Amirah, Lachlan, Brylee, Silas, Everett, Kara, and Bridget all have a special place in my fangirl heart because they’re such lovable and real characters! They have struggles that they have to learn from, giving ALLO deep themes in addition to witty banter, adorable romance, and adventure. I especially loved the theme of forgiveness that was woven into the stories.❤️

I also loved the appearance that the characters from the last novella collection (the parents of these peeps) had in this story! Warmed my heart and they added such wisdom to the tale.

Loved this novella collection so much and will definitely reread it in the future. Anna did a great job as always and wouldn’t mind if she wrote more stories about the heirs of Allura 😉😍

Content: as always, romance is clean (only kissing that is not highly described), no language is explicitly stated (some alluded to), and injuries and gore are handled tastefully (though I will warn that there is death and talk of grief from past deaths, in addition to some violence and stabby stuff).

"For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart."
- 1 Samuel 16:7

"A Love Like Ours" by Anna Augustine was full of adventurous stories and adorably sarcastic characters. These novellas are filled to brim with biblical truth and a passion to show the power of forgiveness and the healing balm that comes with knowing you are worthy of love.
I enjoyed this read and am excited to see more work by this talented author.

Highly recommend!

This book was a lovely collection of short stories! The romance was swoon but squeaky clean and adorable!

I beta read this book without having read any others by Anna Augustine and I didn’t feel lost! I did regret no knowing all the parents though ;)

A sweet collection of stories! It was fun reading about some of the heirs of the princes from Anna’s first book, The Princes of Alura. Adventure, romance, and faith highlight each story. A great read for lovers of historical fiction.

Anna's books are going to be ones that I come back to re-read because they're fast-paced, perfectly romantic, and with just enough action. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel, I thought that it was really well done. Thaddeus was a wonderful character, and it's a hard thing to do as a hearing person to write a deaf character. I thought that it wasn't a bad attempt at writing Thad as deaf. A lot of people don't realize how hard lip reading is, but I think the ten years of learning makes it believable enough that he's so good at lip-reading. As someone who's studied Deaf culture, lip reading is really the only option the author had for a deaf character and Anna did it well for the time period of the book. I think Before You Go was my favorite of the three stories inside the novel, definitely loved Kara as well as Bridget, but Kara reminded me more of myself. I loved Everett and Silas' banter, I thought it was great and flowed naturally. There were some passages that really touched my heart and I enjoyed learning with the characters as they understand God's love and forgiveness. Out of the three novellas, I loved Before You Go the most with Falling for You in second place. These novels will definitely be re-read, they're perfect for light adventure and God-filled romance!

3 sweet, fairytale-like romance stories! I'm still particular to the original collection (When You Found Me), but this one was still really good! Very clean, just some romance content, etc. (similar to WYFM, so, if you were comfortable with it, you should be fine)

It definitely could have used a few more rounds of revisions, as it read more like an earlier draft. That's the main reason for only 3 stars - the writing style and even the formatting didn't seem to quite be at publication level, which made it difficult to just enjoy and focus on the stories. Plus, the characters weren't as fully developed as I would have liked to see.

However, I loved the fairytale storylines, and that will definitely keep me coming back to Allura and Anna Augustine!

With twists on fairytale stories such as Cinderella and Robin Hood, this beautiful collection of romances will make you swoon and set your standard just a little bit higher.
Thad is just the most precious boy I have ever read and if he wasn't already taken, I'd jump straight into that story myself and whisk him away.
The theme of forgiveness is deep and meaningful as it is woven in Brylee and Lachlan's story.
I loved how much fun Silas and Everett were. They certaintly had a unique partnership, but I'm glad we got to explore their stories.

I really like the first one and all it's characters and lessons to learn, so it was very nice to be back in the world of Allura and to be apart of these characters lives once more.
This book was so cute and a perfect read for Christmas break. I read it in a day!
Anna Augastine does an amazing job with her books. I totally recommend!

The first(Thaddeus and Amirah) novella was actually very good. The second(Lachlan and Brylee) one was ok but not my favorite. And the last(Silas and Bridgett) one was a DNF. I was really disappointed because I liked the first collection of this series, but this one was not as good(besides the first novella).
•The first novella was sweet. I liked how unique Thaddeus and Amirah are. And I felt like I could feel their connection.
•The only reason I did not enjoy the second novella is that the main conflict between Lachlan and Brylee was solved way too nonchalantly. After a whole year of pent-up anger and resentment toward Lachlan, Brylee forgives him without a second thought and without really knowing if he is sincere yet. It would be different if this conflict were a side issue, but it was a big part of the plot and gumption of the story.
•The last novella had no spark. I could not get interested or excited about what was happening. I didn’t understand why the two main characters liked each other. There was no “I like her/him because of …” It was just too sudden. They liked each other before anything had happened between them. They just had flutters every time they looked at each other… This novella lacked the depth the other ones had.
