The time has come for a curse that has plagued three clans for 20 years to meet its fate at the hands of three women who hold the key to its destruction.
Bliss, a healer and with no noble birth, strikes a bargain with Lord Lochlann to wed his son Rannick, the worst cursed lord out of the three, and produce the heir he desperately craves so that the Clan MacClaren will live on despite the fact there are those who wish to see its demise. She cannot fail, for it will mean her sister Annis, will be forced to wed Lord Brogan, the condemned lord and she worries her sister, Elysia will be offered to the silent lord. She refuses to see her sisters suffer such terrible fate.
The bargain is not an easy one to fulfill. Rannick refuses to wed, having lost three wives to the curse. He swears that if his father weds him once again without his permission, he will see the woman dead before the curse can take her.
If that is not enough of an obstacle for Bliss, there is the gossip that spreads about Lord Rannick. His endless quest to find a way to break the curse has descended him into madness. Has made him a cohort of the devil. Has robbed him of his soul.
With the curse stalking her every step of the way, a husband who would welcome death to see the cursed finally ended, and a mystery group intent on seeing it all end with the death of the three cursed lords and their wives… how will she ever survive and help her sisters?
The exciting conclusion of Highland Intrigue Trilogy!
Author's This trilogy and prequel are best read in order; Highland Intrigue A Prequel, The Silent Highlander, The Condemned Highlander & Highlander The Cursed Lord.
Not really. The witches were the good guys. This was a good story but I expected more. I thought Rannick would be out of his head and crazy and Bliss would heal him but he was just mean. And cold. But when he came around, he came around. He loved bliss before the halfway mark of the book. I really liked him even though he was a pretty brutal killer. The men deserved it of course, they were trying to kill him and Bliss but it was gruesome. I figured out who the Villain was about half way through but I was wrong about the McWilliams bairn. I really did enjoy this story and I loved the three cursed lords. And their women. This was pure fantasy of course but it was engaging. Love Donna Fletcher!
Highlander the Cursed Lord Highland Intrigue Trilogy book 3 by Donna Fletcher
This was by far my favourite of the series, I have to say that this last book had me on pins and needles, my heart coulndt stand all the palpitations i was getting! So much was revealed and many pieces fell into place. The main characters had a rough time before their happy ending, if anything they worked hard for it. Donna Fletcher really has a style all her own she keeps you on edge with every aspect of the story. Im saddened that this was the last of the series and I recommend that it is read in order to get the full effect of the story, but as all good things in life there is a beginning and an ending which thankfully we can revisit at any given time, for me Donna Fletcher is a master story teller that keeps on getting better with time, I give this 5 stars all the way! I was gifted an e-copy all thoughts are my own.
After the Scottish King tries to wipe out the MacWilliams Clan by killing the Laird and Lady of the Clan’s only child, Lady Aila calls out a curse on the men who have done this to their clan, as they were friends of her husband. Years later these men can’t keep a wife or have children because they keep dying as a result of the curse. Lord Rannick of the MacClaren Clan, who is one of the cursed lords as a result of his father’s actions on that fateful night has decided after 3 wives and a child who died, he will never marry again or father children. His father, Lord Lochlann, has a different idea and makes a deal with Bliss of the Clan Loudon to marry her son and get pregnant as soon as she can. Bliss is the sister of the heroine’s in book 1 and 2 of this series. She thinks the only way she can save her sisters from marrying a man they don’t love is agree to this bargain to marry Lord Rannick. The problem with this is Rannick has vowed to never marry again and to kill any wife his father’s forces on him before the curse can take her.
As I have read all of this author’s books she is a definite favorite of mine. She writes such beautiful highland love stories with mystery, usually some really bad guys and also the hope that love will and can always conquer evil. Her stories are always fresh and new making the reader fall in love with her characters very easily. The stories in this series is about 3 cursed Lords and the women who love them. There is plenty of romance, hot, sexy moments and happy endings all around. I looked forward to book 3 in this series because I knew everything would be revealed and come together which it did quite nicely. My heart went out to Rannick because he had lost all hope until Bliss came into his life. Bliss’ burden was heavy because she had the task of saving not only her sisters but Rannick. This hero and heroine were so well matched and the dialogue between at times was filled with such romance. They stood together and faced everything that came at them and never doubted that things would work out in the end. This story ties all the mystery build up in books 1 and 2 and has a few twists and turns which made the story so nail biting. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and highly recommend this book as well as the entire series.
Another simply wonderful read, great characters and wonderful plot This is the third and final book in the Highland Trilogy and I will not spoil the plot for other readers but have to say that you will love every moment of this amazing read, impossible to put the book down until I reached the last page and it was a simply fantastic read. The relationship between the sisters is simply wonderful to read their connection with their lords was simply wonderful and even though they were not the easiest of men to understand each of the women found them to be insufferable at time but could they do without them, time would, see? Bliss has agreed for the health, happiness and safety of her sisters to marry her worst nightmare Rannick however, she will do whatever it takes to keep her sisters safe and happy. This is a wonderful finale to what has been a great collection of books and I am sure that others will feel exactly the same. I assure you that you will enjoy every single moment of this book. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
I Loved It! Gripping, suspenseful and full of mystery. It all begins with Highland Intrigue: a Prequel, which will help you get to know the characters which will make the next three in the series so much more enjoyable. A curse cast over twenty years ago damns three clans who betrayed a friend. As the sons of the three clans have known nothing but sorrow and pain from the curse their fathers are determined for them to marry. Highlander the Cursed Lord is the last of the trilogy and finally solves the mystery for the three damned lords.
Donna Fletcher has written a heart stopping story that is brimming with tension building twist and turns, filled with some extremely interesting characters that will weave a story that will hold you spellbound and will pull you into their tale, drama, flowed well from one subject to another without being forced, sizzling passion, with a action packed plot that will keep you guessing, and as the the mystery builds and intrigue escalate with uncertainties abound will keep you turning the pages until the very end.
Highlander: The Cursed Lord by Donna Fletcher Highland Intrigue Series Book Three Lord Rannick of the Clan MacClaren has borne the worst of the curse. After the death of three wives and the fruitless search to end the curse, he seemed to have lost all humanity. He warned his father about forcing him to wed again, but the man didn’t listen. So, she made a bargain to marry Rannick and produce an heir in exchange for her sisters to have the freedom to choose their husbands, if they chose to marry at all. It was no easy task for Bliss to get Rannick to allow her into his cottage in the woods. But her love for her sisters had her doing all she could to keep her side of the bargain. And then the attacks started. Someone wanted not only the lords dead, but their wives as well. Loved the finale of this series, but it’s always sad to say goodbye to the characters. **Sexual Content https://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com...
This last book of this amazing series is well worth an author's writing award of some kind. It is hard to put into words just how good this story is. An undaunting challenge to end the curse sets the path for Bliss and Rannick's story. Engrossing plot with many struggles, passionate intimate scenes, extreme terror, and many shocking discoveries. I loved each character, and I was so engrossed I could almost feel their emotions lift off each page. Rennick is awesome and Bliss is terrific. I love a story about a healer. This can be read as a stand-alone story, but I do highly recommend reading the entire trilogy. Each story builds toward the ending of the witches' curse and finding love. I did receive and advanced reader copy for my honest opinion. If I could I would give this story way more than 5 stars. Mature reader: Bed Sport: High
Rannick and Bliss have a rocky start as Lord Rannick is determined to never marry and have kids due to a curse. As the last book in Highland Intrigue series Highlander he Cursed Lord we find out that there’s a mystery unfolding. The story kept me on the edge of my seat and the book was hard to out down. The author does a great job in keeping the reader engaged. It is best to read the two previous books in the series.
I loved this book! I read the other sister's stories, so I was familiar with the characters. This was my favorite of the 3. I was looking forward to Bliss's story since the beginning. I admired her courage and love for her sisters. Also, the hero was my favorite too. He was so gruff and grumpy, but I felt for him. An excellent end to the adventure. Intrigue, action and romance with some steam. Great book!
Rannick is the 3rd cursed lord and the most dangerous. Bliss agreed to marry him to save her sisters from being forced to marry the other cursed lords. This ending finally brings to bare the secrets behind the curse. There are plenty of twists, suspense, deception, love and magic. Fantastic.
I have read the first two of their series and loved both! I anxiously awaited for the Cursed Lord and it was wonderful! I could not put this book down. This whole series has been an amazing journey and I would definitely recommend reading all three of them. The wait was definitely worth it, you will love Rannick and Bliss’s story. ♥️♥️♥️
I almost want to give 5 stars because i love their interaction with each other. Bliss is a sweet and patient woman when dealing with grumpy and bad temper of his husband. On the other hand her husband love her so much and he is so overprotective of her. However i started get tired in the last few chapters because so many bad people and how Bliss would risk her life just to see her sisters
Well written great characters Rannick and Bliss the cursed lords are winding down and hoping the curse will be lifted and all secrets revealed. Rannick comes to love Bluss deeply as Bliss loves Rannick. All good things come to an end although I wished there had been an extended epilogue where they all would been say in 2 years love the series and author and would highly recommend
The cursed Lord the last in series was a very good ending. Loved the mystery that started from the beginning and continued through each book. If you love a good mystery with your love stories you will like this series.
It was great! I was waiting for this release and I'm glad it's finally here. I'd been thinking of a couple of hypotheses and in the end, Donna has surprised me with the final twist. Great serie, I enjoyed it so much. My 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
From the prequel to book 3, I loved every page I read. Each character was amazing, and their personalities so in depth. I wanted not get to the end and yet I wanted the story to continue.
I thought at the last chapter it was Rannick mother who was behind all the evil, Amazing story I could not stop reading , a surprise at who the witch was One of your best stories
