Leave it to poor Darla to have her newest food truck christened by something falling from the sky...and it wasn't a seagull! The murder victim this time was someone Darla knew from a couple of books ago (which is why it's a really good idea to read this series from the beginning) who'd just gotten engaged.
I had a feeling from the get-go whodunit and was right, but it was still fun to follow along and see when Darla came to the same conclusion. Her half-sister who she'd just gotten to know a couple of books ago was back in town. Their relationship is so new as sisters, but they're definitely coming along a lot better. As always, I'm looking forward to borrowing the next book on KU.
This book was mystery with food trucks and I am getting ready to red the next one in the series. I Like the new concept of food trucks and lots of friends helping friends get out of truble.
3 1/2 stars These books just keep you going. They continually keep you on track with the characters and the town. Although you can read them individually if you can’t find all the books to read in order. But once you read one you’ll want to backtrack and find all the others and read them all and get to know everyone on a personal level! So fun! These are all fun clean books, no sexual references or language so I can honestly recommend these to my preteen reading friends or anyone wanting a good book to read.
Darla is asked to have both of her trucks at the big Fourth of July fireworks. Things are going really well until a body falls from the lighthouse onto the fish and chips truck. Darla dives in to try and find out what really happened. Lots of twists and turns with a surprise ending. A fun read.
This series such an enjoyable series. I love the cara u and the storylines are always cleverly written I cannot think of anyone who won't enjoy these adventures
During the fireworks display Darla's friend falls from the lighthouse. Isn't an accident suicide or murder. Darla doesn't believe it's suicide. Can she prove it? Great read
This 5 star series has me well and truly hooked. I’m so caught up in the life of food truck owner and super sleuth Darla, that I am reading the books back to back. This is my favorite read to date in which Susan Harper tackles betrayal, family dynamics and so much more with tact and care.
Darla just can’t seem to stay away from murder. This time a friend “falls” from a lighthouse and lands on her food truck. Was it suicide or something more nefarious?????
