Granny Weaver Hughes’ four sons have had thirteen children between them, and twelve of them have married. Only Lucy remains – and she doesn’t have any prospects. Her parents keep trying to push her toward the neighbor’s son, but they’re just friends and have no romantic interest in each other. Aside from him, though, there are no eligible bachelors around …
… until she goes to check the family’s cows one evening, and finds a man bleeding to death in one of the stalls!
Noel Pedersen doesn’t even know where he is at first. Lucy does her best to patch him up and nurse him back to health, but he’s clearly hiding things – how he got shot, why he doesn’t want anyone to know where he is, what drove him all the way from Canada to collapse in the Weavers’ cow barn. But secrets can’t be kept forever, and as first her parents, then the law get involved, everyone is in for surprises.
Get ready for a shock in LUCY, the latest in the Romancing the Weavers series – because everything hidden is going to come out!
And so I cried for a couple reasons. One, Lucy is the last of this Weaver generation to marry and for those of us who have read every story we are in to the 1900's. Secondly, I cried for Noel. This author gets the story! Noel has so much to atone for, but his loss is the greatest. He's by choice losing the only home he's ever known and with that choice his immediate family as well. He's lost his older brother and because of his older brother he loses something he can never recover. But he's much to gain as well. First is forgiveness, second is his own shop and third is true love.
How the last of Weaver children fell in love with a Canadian.
This is one brilliant book of the Weaver clan. Lucy's story was well worth the wait. The storyline was remarkable and the characters were endearing and interesting that I read the whole book in one setting. It was a page turning.
I haven't liked this authors books since Melanie! This had intrigue and acceptance. Although, what the Dr. did making the situation worse made me mad. Taylor finally said who he loves! I knew it! It was one of the authors better books. One more thing, it is sad the Weavers are getting older. I wonder how Mary and Harlan will leave. Anyway, enjoy this book!
Lucy was the last one left, She wanted a man to marry but there wasn't any. Until she went to the Cow Barn and found Noel shot in the leg, She doctored him , fed him. But didn't tell her parents. Then she went to check him the next day, and her parents caught her. It all worked out and Lucy got her man.
THE END. Lucy found Noel hidden in a stall with a gunshot wound. He was running away from something and wouldn’t talk. This story is quite good. Tea and tissue time, Ladies. But…it may be the end of a series of 18 but it is the BEGINNING OF THE NEXT GENERATION OF THE WEAVER FAMILY.
She is the last to tie the marriage knot and yearns for her turn surprisingly in Weaver tradition it is an adventure that includes the entire family. And includes information about everyone. Well written ,includes laughter and angst. Loved it.
Well Lucy finally got her man, half dead, and in need of doctoring. It sounds like it might be the end until the next generation is ready for marriage. Good clean romance.
Noel - from Canada found sick with a gunshot wound. Lucy- last Weaver of her generation unmarried and has no interest in the local boy. I enjoyed reading this engaging story that is well written ( sometimes a bit repetitive) with memorable characters. Their story has a sweet HEA.
