The one who got away was here all along

When I’m abandoned at a party and find myself in a vulnerable situation, a stranger rescues me. I want to thank him, but I have no memory of his face, only a text telling my housemate that he’s a cowboy with a pretty face. That’s not a lot to go on.

I’ve build him up as a fantasy in my head, but when a flirtatious ranch hand makes his interest clear, I have to choose between clinging to a memory, one that’s fuzzy at best, and embracing the present.

A real-life cowboy is better than a dream. Right? What if I’m wrong about that?

Have you ever picked up a book, started reading it, and instantly knew you were going to have the hardest time putting it down? That was me with this book and y'all, let me tell you, it was amazing!

I quickly fell in love with all things Jasmine and Tyler. It wasn't hard to root for these two. They both had a fun, easy going vibe that made it easy to relate to them. Watching their attraction turn into friendship and then into love melted my heart. Add to that some sizzling chemistry and these two were absolutely perfect for each other. I couldn't help but let out all kinds of dreamy sighs.

I am loving all of these interconnected series. It brings that small town vibe I've come to crave in books. It's make my heart smile to see old friends and meet new ones. And speaking of old friends... I am dying to get my hands on Kent and Poppy's book! Y'all. I have a feeling that theirs is going to an all time favorite of mine. But then again, how can it not be when you have little Mason thrown into the mix. I seriously love that kid!

Now is the time I have to keep reminding myself that writing takes time because all I really want to do is reach out to Ms. Carrington on a daily basis and ask... is it done yet?! There's a reason she's one of my favorites. I cannot wait to see what she has planned for us next!

As for my casting.... *dreamy sigh* I am loving these two! What do you think?

I've been reading books by this author here and there for a while now, mostly in between review books. This time I am officially reviewing and I'm excited! I read the first book in this series a few weeks ago and it was so good. I think I liked this one even better though.

Something I really loved about this book was that there wasn't any major conflict between the characters. No grand misunderstanding, no big departure from each other because of said misunderstanding. It was just about these two and their paths toward love. Yeah, there were some bumps in the road to happiness, but from outside events and not between them. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy stories the other way too, but sometimes it's nice to read a love story where the main characters get along. You know?

It was so easy to settle into this book. Both Jasmine and Tyler are so easy to like. I would want to be friends with them in real life. Tyler is a dreamy boyfriend. I loved how he went out of his way so often to find Jasmine, to be near her, to make her feel safe and valued. He was so patient and so attentive. How could I not love him?! That's pretty much what Jasmine thinks too! We're totally on the same page. Other fun things? Goat yoga. Building garden boxes. The feeling of friends and community.

This book is part of a series but can easily stand alone. I would recommend reading them in order if you can because the characters in this series are all part of a community and you will love the continuity and flow of knowing them from beginning to end. I'm especially excited for the next book because Poppy and Kent! This book really set up their story.

Content: kissing, Jasmine's drink is drugged at a party. Sweet romance.

3.5⭐ Loved the Cowboy. cute western romantic comedy. Jasmine and Tyler met when he came to her aid to protect her when she was drugged at a party they were both attendings. Tyler is a sweet guy that loves to make playful jokes. He is attentive and protective. Jasmine is caring and sweet with a hard past, I appreciated that the story touches on heavier topics like drugging, and domestic abuse. It is sweet and funny, with relatable characters. Thanks for the ARC.

I don't know why, but I just didn't connect with this one. Jasmine and Tyler are likable characters, a pleasant read overall...just wasn't for me.

Content Rated PG
Clean romance, mild kissing. No language. Jasmine has a drink spiked at a party; Tyler arrives right after preventing anything from happening.

4.5 Super cute rom-com! The story immediately grabbed me as Remi Carrington writes in such a fun, easy way, you can’t help but be pulled into the world she created.

This book tells the story of Tyler and Jasmine who meet at a party. After her friend abandons her, Jasmine is rescued by a good looking cowboy. Tyler becomes her protector making sure she gets safely home. Jasmine longs to find him and thank him but there is only one problem she can’t remember his face.

Tyler is such a super sweet guy and the boyfriend ever girl longs to have. He is attentive, protective and I love his playful jokes and smiles. Jasmine has had a hard past but she feels safe and seen with Tyler. I love her excitement every time he came to pick her up. I could vividly picture the way she would run and jump in his arms. They were so cute together and I smiled many times reading this. I loved their slow burn romance as these two longed for each other for many months before running into each other again after their initial meeting.

I love story’s about cowboys so I jumped at the chance to read this! So glad I did! This book is from a new to me author and I already started reading More than a little Flirting, a novella in this series. I will be reading more for sure as I can’t wait to read Kents story in the next book!

There is a possible trigger warming for sensitive readers as Jasmine drink is drugged at the party but content is clean. Just sweet kisses and a beautiful romance. Highly recommend for rom-com lovers!

I received an complimentary copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love cowboy romances and this one was so very sweet! Though it begins with some drama - Tyler rescuing Jasmine after her soda was drugged at a party - most of the book is a gentle romance between two genuinely good people! Tyler is like a shining knight with a cowboy hat and boots and Jasmine is kind-hearted and has so many talents!

Loved all their Wednesday night flirting at goat yoga, and it was so cute to watch them together after so many months (condensed into one chapter) of wishing they could meet again. This is a cute, clean, sweet romance that will leave you with a happy sigh.

I received a complimentary copy of the book but a positive review was not required.

I loved loved loved this sweet story! I always enjoy Remi Carrington's books, and these cowboys are stealing hearts everywhere. Tyler was a patient and interesting character, and Jasmine grew so much in her ability to trust through this story. I can't wait to read the others in this series.

I loved the main guy character named Tyler, he was so super sweet and gentle with Jasmine! I loved how Jasmine was able to grow and really feel loved!

There are a couple of trigger warnings so be aware before you go in.

I was so happy to be back in the sweet, small town of Stadtburg and at Stargazer Springs Ranch again! Tyler and Jasmine’s hero/mini second chance romance is so heart warming, I just love them both! The storyline is unique and so sweet.

Things I Loved:
-Bottle caps
-Goat yoga 🐐
-“By the time I ask her out, I’ll be a pro at prepping gardens.”
-Independent happiness
-Perry the platypus reference 🙌🏻😂
-“Have I ever said how much I love your laugh? It’s melodic in a way that harmonizes with my heart.”
-Pinkies linked (my hubs and I do this ♥️)
-The sweetest HEA because of their found family. Seriously, the sweetest. 😍

Tyler is the epitome of a modern day knight in shining armor for Jasmine, her dream come true. Don’t miss out on this sweet story!

This can definitely be read as a standalone, but it is really awesome how Remi was able to weave in so many situations and people from previous books at Stargazer Springs & Stadtburg, now from the new character’s perspectives. This new series spin off is just fantastic (There is a free prequel novella and one book before this in the series itself). 😍

TW: There is mention of date rape situations and attempt, along with an abusive situation, but none play out in the book. I think this is a great story to bring more awareness to the topics without getting too heavy.

What 👏🏻 a 👏🏻 fantastic 👏🏻 story!!! This is a new comfort read for me. 🥰
Goat yoga. Ranch antics. Found Family.
Swoony, flirty, chivalrous, cinnamon roll cowboy 😏 The chemistry 🤌🏻 Funny and sweet. Dual POV.
Jasmine and Tyler are so adorable together.
I don't even know what else to say other than READ THIS SERIES! 😆💙

💕RCRS: 2 (brief kissing)

🚨TW: Jasmine is drugged at a party in the beginning but nothing bad happens.

🗨 Some Quotes:
"Miss Joji, please let me help." I use my eyebrows to motion towards Jasmine. "I'd like a reason to be here."

"Thanks for letting me know." She walks back to the others, and I wait, hoping that Jasmine will look this way.
But she's talking to the ladies, starting class. Just as I'm about to walk away, she glances my way. I wink and tip my hat.
The smile I get in return will carry me until next week.

He's like Sir Lancelot in cowboy boots.

Her laughter rings out as I close my door, and I relish in the sound. I must be the luckiest guy in the world to meet Jasmine twice.

This book was great! This is the second Remi Carrington book I've read, and I just love the way her characters interact with each other. These are real, down to earth conversations that I can absolutely see myself being a part of.

I did NOT want to stop reading this book. I HAD to know what was going to happen, and how (no spoilers). I'm going to have to read the whole series now. That TBR just keeps getting bigger!

There are so many more quotes I wanted to post, but I didn't want to give anything away. You just really want to read this book.

Trigger warning, though: a girl being drugged is part of this book.

This book is just adorably sweet. I loved Tyler and Jasmine and their awkward meet-cute. I loved how the story built up over time, even though at first you think it's going to be an insta-love (which I'm not a fan of). It isn't and I think the author did the pacing and timing of everything really well. I loved getting a feel for all the characters and Kent and Poppy's sneak peek in the back has me itchin' to get that book!

Rescuing Jasmine . . .

Jasmine let her friend, Ingrid, drag her reluctantly to a party. She wants to leave, but Ingrid says her car is blocked in. And when Ingrid abandons her, Jasmine feels uncomfortable around the strange men who have surrounded her. She still can’t get the car out of the lot. Then she begins to feel dizzy without having consumed any alcohol at all! She had two sodas but had opened both cans herself, but something is definitely wrong with her. How will she drive home now?

Tyler had also been dragged to the party by a friend and was regretting agreeing to be his designated driver. But noticing the cute woman drinking a canned soda, he winks at her. Every time she leans around a guy to see him, she seems like she is getting tipsy as she wobbles. She looks panicked, so he puts his arm around her and takes her to the bench to sit down. He would have left the drunk girl except for the panic he had seen on her face, so he decides to protect her. When one of the guys who surrounded her comes over and tries to force her back to them, Tyler says she is with him. He drives her home, stopping to get her some quick take-out food to help sober her up.

But when Jasmine wakes the next day, she doesn’t know her hero’s name or what he looks like except for the text to Ingrid saying he was a cowboy with a pretty face. Tyler can’t forget her either. When they finally reconnect, will she recognize the man standing in front of her? Or will her daydreams about her hero keep her from wanting anyone else?

This book was so cute! It is a clean cowboy romance. I totally love the Stargazer Springs series. They were both really cute with each other when they first laid eyes on each other.

Tyler💞 this cowboy was such a dream! I love how he took care of Jasmine and was super protective of her💙 he was the sweetest.

Don't even get me started on the friendships on this series! I loved reconnecting with the other couples. And the new characters!! Kent, Parker, Mason! 😍.

Tyler and Jasmine have a really unique connection. I loved their dates and the time they spent together. The chemistry, flirting, all the banter and those kisses were 🔥👌🏻. I was totally here for it!

I didn't like Ingrid at all. It was such an awesome contrast to see how Daisy was such a good friend to Jasmine 💙.

I loved that Jasmine took action into her life. She had some issues to figure out and I loved watching Tyler support her while she worked on them.

My favorite scenes involve:
🐐Goats
🍅Gardening
🍾Bottle caps
🍫S'mores
🍗Chicken strips

You need to grab this book, read this series... I am so excited for Kent's story!!

⚠️Trigger warnings ⚠️: This book touches the subject of a drink being spiked and sketchy situations at a party. There is also subtle clues of posible domestic abuse for some characters.

Finding His Fated Mate -
Tyler and Jasmine were destined partners as even though they didn’t exchange names or numbers when they first met, they somehow found their way back into each other’s lives. They both had similar baggage from their past, but the connection be helped the find security and trust with each other.

This was a great clean romance story, but parts of the story broke my heart over and over, but finally put it back together by the time I finished reading it. All I can say as this point is, please keep up the good work Remi Carrington, because you always leave me looking forward to reading your next book.

This book takes us back to the Stargazer ranch and allows us to hang out with the cowboysand gals there.  I would classify this as an easy read but does deal with a party that could have potentially ended a lot worse.

I liked the hero and heroine as well as the heroine's neighbours. They were side characters that added to the book along with the appearance of other characters in the series.  It also set up the next book which leaves you wanting to read it.

I recommend this series and reading the others in it. I got this in an exhange for an honest review but it's something I would have been happy to pay for.

Tyler rescues Jasmine at party, wondering if she’s drunk or had something slipped into her drink. He tries finding her later, but nothing goes his way. Jasmine can’t forget her rescuer except for his face. When they meet again and she doesn’t recognize Tyler I thought he danced around the issue too long hoping she would recognize him. It sounds to me like she had traumatic experience plus what she was given can cause memory loss. And I was surprised that he was still thinking she might have been drunk when he never sees her drinking alcohol. It takes a while before they finally date and fall for each other but Tyler wonders how Jasmine will feel if she ever uncovers the truth. I loved her protective landlords who made sure he treated her right. Tyler has a good family of friends at the ranch who look out for each other. Kent’s can’t keep a secret precocious son Mason is adorable. I’m looking forward to his romance.

Tyler and Jasmine meet at a party when he protects her from harm. She remembers having a hero but doesn’t know his name or who he is so when they finally meet again she doesn’t recognize him. Tyler is so kind and sweet and I really enjoyed the romance. I also really liked that this book takes place over a period of time and it isn’t rushed. It’s so fun to get to see all the other cowboys in the series and the friendships involved.

Trigger warning: Jasmine is drugged at a party. Thanks to Tyler nobody harms her but I feel like this could be a trigger for some.

This was my first book by this author, so definite proof that despite it being the second in a series, it can absolutely be read as a standalone!

The story was cute and I loved Tyler and Jasmine and I loved that they got a second chance to meet. The writing of this wasn’t stellar and I found myself questioning the timeline a bit. I appreciated that the story touches on heavier topics (drugging, abuse), but it felt a bit like they were getting thrown away and not getting the attention they deserve. I loved that found family aspect, and the members of the ranch are just precious-I may keep reading the series for more of them!

I was given an ARC by the author. All opinions are my own

Jasmine goes to a party with her roommate Ingrid. One of the men there puts something in her drink. Tyler is there and sees what happened. He gets Jasmine away and takes her home. Jasmine, however does not remember a thing. This was such a sweet story. Both Jasmine and Tyler are adorable. You can't help but fall in love with the cowboys of Stargazer Ranch. Another great book by Remi Carrington.

Love the Stargazer Springs stories. So great that all the characters keep showing up in each new book. This is a fun rom-com that didn’t let me down. Tyler and Jasmine are such an adorably interesting couple. “Bottle Caps” you’ll have to read the story to find out about that. I just love Mason, he is so adorable. Well worth reading.

This book was incredible. Tyler is an amazing guy and I wish I had one of him in my life. Jasmine is such a lovely leading lady. She's a little shy, but open to possibilities. I was hoping they would cross paths again so much sooner, but they reunited at the right time. I laughed, I cried, and I experienced so much joy. So looking forward to Kent's story next. Going to catch up on the others before his.

There is so much I like about this book I don't know where to begin! Tyler is an amazing guy. Saw a problem with Jasmine and stepped right in to help. Thing is she doesn't remember his face. Such a great story how they reconnected and he didn't know how to tell her. The ending with parents, old roommate and the whole situation is just fabulous! Also enjoyed having familiar characters from other books. Best part is it can be read as a standalone no priblem!! Well done!!

More Than a Pretty Face is a clean, sweet, heartwarming, small town, second chance romantic comedy. Ms. Carrington writes the best romantic comedies. I love this world she has created and how many characters from previous books are in each new release. Tyler is an awesome hero. I would love to be Jasmine's friend. I highly recommend their meet unusual and ensuing journey. I could not put it down!

Like the first book, this one has the goats back doing yoga. This story starts out a little scary & with a serious, dangerous situation for Jasmine. Tyler is her rescuer but she can't remember what he looks like. I enjoyed that the story moved away from the serious stuff & became more light-hearted. It is an excellent, fun read. I received an ARC. This is my voluntary opinion.
