Genesis Battle has always been the calm one. She had no choice but to be. As the oldest of five, she took up the mantle of caring for her sisters after their mother was convicted of murder. She became their protector and she only had one rule. No secrets. To her knowledge, everyone held up to that promise. That was until Jonah kept a secret that led to Liberty being kidnapped.

Since then, she has found her trust in Jonah waning. Add in the fact that she has lost her control on her anger and hasn't fully accepted her powers, It's a recipe for disaster. Things come to a head when Genesis finds the letter that Jonah tried to hide away. She has had enough of the lies and confronts Jonah about her sudden willingness to lie to them.

Genesis' confrontation with Jonah does not yield the results she hoped.

TaQuanda was born in Upstate New York in Rochester. She attended Full Sail University where she received her BFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment. Soon after finishing school she began writing her first book "Power" which was released October 2014.

Loved it! Easy read!


Book picks up right where it left off. The sisters are at odds and now their powers are not working. Realizing now that girls need to find a way to get their powers back! Still feel like Jonah is the strongest out of the five sisters! I love how the sisters come together to solve cases! It’s like Nancy Drew and Charmed mixed into one

Still my fave is Book 2
