When everything in your life feels like a lie... and you can't tell anyone why...

Something happened last year that changes how I approach my life. I told no one about it. It’s affected all of my relationships and ended the one with the girl I thought I’d be with forever. I’m a hero at college and one of the top quarterbacks at the university level, and I have the popularity to show for it. Still, none of it feels deserved after what I failed to do last year. I’m riddled by guilt and confusion over what happened, but worse is my reaction to it.

Jacey Walker has her own tales of horror that come to light after she finds refuge with my parents in Silver Springs. She’s caught my eye and interest. She has an awakening curiosity about a new and brighter future than she’s ever imagined, which has me reevaluating and appreciating my own until I realize who has caught her attention. Now I have to face my own history or risk Jacey paying the consequences.

But then Jacey's past brings forces upon us all that might change everything forever.

With 50 plus, full length books there is a story for everyone!
Cowboy romance? Got it! Small town... yep. Big city rock star? Covered! You like a little suspense? Yep, got a few of those too.

Most of my books are standalone stories in connected series. Whether it's the setting, theme or family connections, my series are often multi-generational and span decades. While each book is a complete story, beloved characters will pop in and out of these sagas. I stick to new adult, contemporary and western romances, with tons of emotion and all the feels tucked into them.

In this book we get to know and understand Wyatt much better. We can start to understand why he was originally so against his family taking in Wesley. We learn his secrets and that helps us to understand the changes that Dani just couldn't put her finger on. But we also see him open up and want to do anything he can to help Jacey on her new journey for a better life. His character grows leaps and bounds, we see the kind caring man that he is and watch him succeed.

Jacey was used and abused by the one person that she should have been able to count on. Even when she knows it was wrong there is a part of her that continued to fall into the pattern hoping her mom had changed. Needing to rely on people she didn't always make the right choices but she did make the best of friends with Wesley. She is reluctant to take the help of the Kincaid's at first. As step by step she takes in the direction of a new life, one that she is in control of.

Can these two find a friendship or maybe even more? Wyatt has taken Jacey under his wing and is trying to show her the way. Help her find her footing in her new world. Will Jacey get a change to repay Wyatt for all he has done for her.

The characters in this series are pulling me in a little more with each book. They have has so much to overcome.

I loved this book! Wyatt's story really comes to life in this book. We learn why he was acting the way he did in the first book, and it all makes perfect sense now! I fell in love with him in this one! He goes through something do devastatingly heartbreaking, and it takes a toll in him, but through his love and friendship with Jacey he overcomes it, AND gets his HEA!!!

Wyatt Kincaid was a football star in college and now has taken his talent to college but soon he discovers that anything can happen and he struggles with dealing with an unexpected event. He is finally at peace with his parents taking in Wesley Abbott into their family and his friendship with his ex-girlfriend Dani Dawson is stronger than ever. When his parents take in Wesley's friend, Jacey Walker, he finds himself intrigued by her.

Jacey Walker grew up in foster homes and was able to forge a strong friendship with Wesley. After escaping group homes she got into an abusive relationship until money from Wesley was able to send her money to escape to Wesley.

Slowly Jacey and Wyatt forged a friendship but Jacey doesn't believe she is capable of making something of herself due to her background. When Jacey forms a friendship with a boy names Hans she sees an immediate change in Wyatt.

Will Wyatt open up to Jacey about how he feels before it's too late?

This is another great book in the series and I really liked learning more about Wyatt.

I knew something bad at happened with Wyatt but I had no idea if he was responsible for something or what. The whole event broke my heart and I hated how he kept everything in but I was happy that he also never let it get in his way. I loved seeing Wyatt at college and meeting his roommates and I loved that he really wasn't a huge party guy.

Jacey was so incredible and I loved how powerful she was for leaving her ex-boyfriend. Jacey struggled with her own identity to a certain degree as she didn't believe she was "smart" enough for the world. I loved how she slowly gained her own confidence and became a different person as she believed in herself.

I absolutely loved the friendship between Jacey and Wyatt and how they each learned so much from one another. I loved how protective Wyatt was over Jacey, especially when he learned about her past and what she had been through. I loved that Jacey read Crime and Punishment and she began to see everything that she was capable of. I thought the growth in her was so good and I liked that she began to challenge herself.

I wondered about Wyatt's hatred towards Hans and to me it made sense but it was so awkward that Jacey was unknowingly stuck in the middle. I really wanted Wyatt to open up to Jacey earlier as she really would have understood why he was so upset. I did a super happy dance when Jacey and Wyatt began to figure out everything that they wanted in terms of each other.

I liked that Jacey was able to make some sense of peace of her past yet I was freaking out a little at what was going to happen at the end of the book. I also really loved what Wyatt did at the end of the book and was able to regain some power over the past events!

Wyatt

Wyatt is Book 2 in the Sons Series, and I highly recommend you read Book 1 before reading this one. We first met Wyatt in The Other SIster, and he was a cute little boy. He was also in Wesley, but he wasn 't so cute and nice, and I really wondered about his attitude change, and in this book we find what happened to him, and why he acted the way he did. Dani and his mom knew something was wrong, but he wouldn't share. Jacey has lived a very rough life, and when her boyfriend that she lives with tries to strangle her, she knows she has to get out, and she does. She goes to where her friend Wesley is staying, and the Kincaid's welcome her to their home. Wyatt is intrigued by Jacey and a little in awe of her strength. When he goes back to college, he invites Jacey to come stay with him so he can show her around campus. She soaks it all in, and makes Wyatt see things differently as she is so excited about it all. Wyatt encourages Jacey to apply to college and they begin reading books together so they can discuss them. Wyatt helps Jacey so much and eventually she is the one that he is able to tell what happened to him. The growth of both of them is amazing, and I loved reading about them and their interactions and how they both made each other better people. Leanne's books always have wonderfully developed characters and always have a lesson that you learn about important things happening or things most people do not want to talk about or address. I am so glad that I read this because I see Wyatt in a totally different light than I did in Wesley. Was so happy to get to read more about Wesley and Dani in this one too. Loved the foursome and how they all were there for each other when they needed each other. Their friendship is inspiring as they don't hesitate to drop everything when one of them is in need.

I didn’t start to like Wyatt Kincaid until near the end of book one of Wesley’s story.

He fares much better with me in book two.

Learning the trauma he’s lives with since his sophomore year of college explains his uncharacteristic behavior.

Despite his birth mother being murdered when he was a toddler, Wyatt still grew up with a loving father and stepmother, extended family and friends in a comfortable, privileged life.

Jacey Walker has lived the true hard-knocks life complete with foster care and a drug-addicted, alcoholic mother who sees her as a tool to feed her addictions instead of a daughter to be loved and cared for.

Booted from foster care after becoming an adult, Jacey moves in with the only person to offer her shelter. When the situation becomes abusive, she searches out the only friend she has, Wesley Abbott, who’s already walked away from the chaotic and destructive foster care lifestyle.

Wesley’s staying with the Kincaids and this is when Jacey and Wyatt meet.

After successfully dealing with Wesley’s issues, for the time being, Wyatt and Jacey develop a friendship. He encourages her to want more and never settle; similar words to what she heard in counseling.

A relationship grows between the two as Wyatt continues to encourage Jacey to stretch her wings, read good books, and enroll in college.

While they both must conquer past fears before they can move on, for me, it’s Jacey who helps herself and Wyatt. She may not have the academics, but she has more common sense and wisdom than a roomful of people. Once she realizes her own power, there’s no stopping her.

Wyatt is another strong offering from this author as book 2 in the Son Series, with well-developed characters willing to put the happiness of others first even if it means risking their hearts.

Enjoy!

Wyatt Kincaid was on top of the world one moment and then it was just taken away. He’s bottled something inside that’s going to eat at him. That’s part of what catches your attention and leaves you wondering what you’re going to do. I was glad to see his story was coming out because I had questions when meeting him in book one. That also shows you that you need to read this series in order.

One moment Jacey Walker’s in the system and the next she’s not. From what I understand that’s actually true. It breaks your heart that people seem to care and then you turn around and they don’t anymore. She puts a voice to something we need to change. This may be a work of fiction but it takes on a seriously real subject. She also has a connection to the first book. So, again, if you haven’t read Wesley yet I would stop and go back and start there first.

Our author has created some complex characters that have issues of one kind or another. Wyatt is a good character when it comes to misjudging people. He has great parents. They are willing to give someone a chance and give him or her a helping hand when needed. But he feels like he has to deal with things on his own. Jacey is the one who will voice our questions and go about getting the answers we need. This is both a compelling book and a compelling series. If you like books that don’t show anyone as picture perfect and have real life problems than you may want to check this series out.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

After the first book in the series, Wesley, I didn't want to like Wyatt. I went back and forth about whether or not I want to read it. I'm glad I did! In the second book in the Son series, Wyatt is now back at college after spending a good part of his summer at home. But now his life is different.
Wyatt has a secret he hasn't told anyone, not even his best friend who is also his ex-girlfriend. His personality had changed and people were noticing. It's affected every part of his life and eating at him. But telling anyone makes him feel uncomfortable. Then Jacey enters his life.
Jacey Walker has survived the system. Tossed from foster home to foster home, her one and only friend is Wesley (Son #1). After escaping an abusive relationship, Jacey has been welcomed into the Kincaid's home. A lost soul herself, she makes a connection with Wyatt. Both have a past they have not told anyone. But as their friendship grows, both start to trust the other to let go of their demons that are holding them back. Trust us hard for both, but they find their way back.
Leanne Davis has written another incredible story that starts right on the first page. She brings life to her characters in a way you can connect with them. I'm truly glad to give Wyatt a chance. It's a story that will not disappoint.

I'm new to world of Leanne Davis, and boy I feel like I missed out on the party of the year after I finished Wyatt. What an amazing story! First of all, the depth that Ms. Davis writes with blew me away, as I felt like I was walking Wyatt's journey with him, and the same with Jacey. Both of them have some demons from situations in life out of their control, and yet, both are amazing people with flaws, but it made them realistically human. Her lost soul called to his secret emotional demons on a level that he never saw coming, and it was an angst filled journey that broke my heart but then put it back together again. There are difficult topics dealt with, but not once did I feel like they would trigger anyone since Ms. Davis wrote them with sensitivity, and I really appreciated that. She also showed that while Wyatt's life looked perfect on the outside, with him being the star football player for his college football team after the started got injured, sometimes you have to look past the surface. I can't say enough good things about Wyatt, so I'll just stop here, because really everyone just needs to one click it for themselves to get the full powerful experience. So at the end of the day, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I enjoyed reading another series by this author that takes place in Silver Springs. It was easy an read and hard to put down. I loved that characters from her other books have small parts in this story. This is Wyatt Kincaid and Jacey Walker's story. Both characters experienced serious trauma and used it as a way to come out on top. It was wonderful that they both got the HEA, they deserved.
I missed the previous book in this series, but am looking forward to reading Devon's book next. I hope to see Wyatt and Jacey pop back up, again in this series.

To me everyone of Leanne Davis’ books are amazing and I have loved every word she has written. She has the most amazing talent in that she creates so much depth and feeling into her characters making them connect with you instantly. Wyatt is no exception. He is a classic example of a kind, thoughtful and perfect man who has overcome a tragic event in his life to make him what he is today. Jacey Walker also knows the trials and tribulations of life and has met many challenges in her life. Their backgrounds are poles apart but that does not stop their relationship developing.

As always Leanne has written with great skill to make this an absorbing, delightful and extremely enjoyable story and one I highly recommend.

The Kincaids come to the rescue again. A loving and trusting family with hearts so big, it'll make your heart melt. The story of Wyatt and Jacey will pull at your heartstrings, so emotional, but what they went through really does happen. How the Author manages to co-ordinate the story line between the first book in this series (Wesly) and this 2nd book (Wyatt) is simply amazing. The minute you start reading Wyatt, you know exactly who the other characters are and it makes for great reading. I read this Author's 10 book Rivers End Series and I loved every book in the series, yes I did have my favorites though. The way Leanne Davis tells her stories will captivate you from the start. Thank you!

This is book 2 in the Son series by Leanne Davis. I highly recommend to read book 1 Wesley. These 2 stories intermix and you will see both views and know more of whats going on. When you start tonrrad book 2, you will know who everyone is and how they work together. This book was emotional. Wyatt has an experience while he is away at college. When he comes back home everyone notices how he is different and he keeps telling himself to just push it down. Then comes Jacey. She was a kid in the system and since she turn 18 they let her go. The only person she could count in was her friend Wesley. So she seeks him out and meets these wonderful peopel, the Kincaids. I loved this story. It will suck you in because you want to know what happened.

Leanne Davis tells a compelling story. Wyatt has loving, supportive, parents always there for him when he needs them and even when he doesn't. Jacey comes from just the opposite kind of family. She shows up one day to see her best friend, Westley ( from previous book Westley also by Leanne Davis ). Westley was taken in by Wyatt's family when he was in trouble for stealing. They gave Westley a second chance at a good life. This story tells how Wyatt adjusts to Westley and now Jacey. Loved seeing how they developed real feelings of love, trust, caring, and how each one's life changed for the better. I highly recommend Wyatt by Leanne Davis.

I recently stumbled across this author's books and I'm so happy I did. I've stormed through every thing she's written and looking for more.

Wyatt the second book in the son series. You can't help but love Wyatt after reading the previous series where his mother ran away; later they find that she was murdered. Wyatt was a great kid; smart, funny and the character was well written and developed. Then the son series starts... and Wyatt's story wasn't so perfect. It's a compelling story and plausible. Sit down, and enjoy the story; by-the-way it's a good one.

I really enjoy Leanne Davis' books. Her characters are real people, they don't all have perfect bodies and faces. They are not all tall and gorgeous. Well, they are in this series, but it is believable.

I liked Wyatt and I liked Jacey. I thought they were both mature and they had good chemistry together. If anything, my problem was that they were a bit too mature. I didn't find their actions too mature, I found the dialogue too mature. I don't care how smart guys and girls are, most college age people do not have conversations like these two did. A lot of adults don't even talk to each other the way these two did, especially ones who were sent from foster home to foster home before they lived with a drug addict parent. But that is a small thing. The story is good, the characters are well fleshed out and relatable. Excellent series so far.

This book is amazing! Both Wyatt and Jacey have deep seeded issues that have caused scars for them. It was an emotional and inspirational read. I really liked the almost child like excitement that Jacey had for almost everything she experienced. It was a reminder to be thankful for everything you have and not to squander your opportunities. It was nice to read the journey that they took together!

Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done ❤️

The unexpected event in Wyatt Kincaid's life makes him deal with the the unexpected. Jacey Walker is a tornado within her own self, coming from abusive relationships and foster homes. Being a lost soul, she finds that she is welcomed into the Kincaid home and makes a connection with Wyatt. The friendship grows and they open up to one another. Without spoiling the book, I love the writer and her books. Emotions and reality are best described in her books.

Why did I wait so long to read Wyatt’s story? I kick myself for it. Anyways, the mystery of Wyatt is finally solved, the questions and answered and his struggles overcome. Then there’s Jacey. Her story had me in tears. Well, both of their stories did. Two broken people trying to find themselves with the help of each other. I love Wyatt when all is said and done and the way we are pulled into this series has me ready for the next one. Grab this series now!

Wow!!!! I love Wesley (book#1) but wow I absolutely loved Wyatt and Jacey...crazy dynamics brought them together and what a journey...jacey's lost soul and wyatt's secret turn into a beautiful emotional ride. I love everything about these two characters and their story. I don't know how this author creates such amazing stories back to back but she is perfection!!!

While reading Wesley’s story, I thought Wyatt was a real jerk. But as the saying goes “don’t judge until you’ve walked in their shoes”. Once I learned Wyatt’s story, I really felt for him, there was the fraud he felt like, and the hero everyone thought he was. But even as he fought this, he was able to help Jacey find her true self. And through helping her, he let her help him.

Unexpected

Wyatt

Wyatt is a book is one that I did not expect to take the turns it did. Jacey and Wyatt find support through experiences together and find love. Wyatt faces discrimination at the highest levels. I applaud Davis for bringing the ugly topic to light. It is a great story of self discovery after a horrible experience.

This book had so much heart. It was about finding yourself when those who should care for you let you slip through the cracks. It's finding "family" to give you a hand up no questions asked. It's being treated unfairly because you are different. It's those that love you no matter how the world sees you.

A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. This one about Wyatt and what he has gone through and how he deals with his college status. Also how Jacey comes into the picture of having to deal with a very ruff life. As book two it carries on what Wesley is doing and how he is moving on and I cannot wait to read the next book written by Ms. Davis.

I've been a fan of Leanne Davis since the Sister Series. I loved the Daughter Series, and eagerly awaited the Son Series. She never disappoints.
With each book, each character, she raises the bar.
Some authors do thrillers, suspense, romance or mystery...
Leanne does emotional.
Real and Raw.
Painful and Cathartic.
Healing and Hopeful.

This was a very emotional read!! Neither of the characters are perfect and have imperfections that are easy to relate to. The writing is so well done that you feel as if you are living the lives of Wyatt and Jacey as you read the story. Both have had hardships, yet they find a way to come out on top in the end. Leanne Davis is a master at writing a powerful story with all the feels.

Great Read

Wyatt and Jacey story is remarkable. It shows goodness does exist in people, and love can concur all.
It took the love of Wyatt to show that to Jacey, and she made a life for herself after a very unfortunate childhood. Jacey showed Wyatt that bad things can happen to good people and it’s not their faults. I would highly recommend this book.

Wyatt

This book explains so much into Wyatt’s actions in Wesley’s book. The things he endured and kept buried inside. It was sad how he was treated by racist jackholes! I loved seeing him bring out confidence in Jacey and see their relationship develop.
