It’s been more than 100 years, and Wendy Darling still haunts Peter Pan’s dreams. The boy he had once been is lost, and the man he’s become, is plagued by a love that he had never grown out of. When she’d left, taking his Lost Boys with her, Peter was broken and Neverland paid the price. Even after all that’s happened, a long dead Wendy still weighs heavy on his mind. Peter has decided to go back across the veil, and this time, has his sights set on the next best thing, one of her descendants. But after Neverland was almost destroyed in Wendy’s wake, the faeries will stop at nothing to prevent him from bringing another Wendy girl back to Neverland. In order to keep his secret safe, Peter and his new band of Lost Boys must complete a perilous quest and risk putting ancient magic in the wrong hands, all for the sake of a girl.
T. S. Kinley is a passion project created by two sisters with a shared obsession and vision. We came together with the dream of creating something beautiful, imaginative, and yes… SEXY.
Once upon a Time… it all began with sisterly gossip about erotica and romance novels. Our conversations quickly became fantasies about our own desires to author such work. We would muse how someday in a utopian future, our fantasy would become reality. Ultimately we decided rather than wait for the future to find us, we would create utopia ourselves. Using our love of books, natural gift of creativity, and some savvy study on publishing itself, the concept for our very first book was born.
We started off as a Cosmetologist and an RN, and quickly developed into a dynamic writing team with a style that lends a unique perspective to our books. Second To The Right; book one of The Neverland Chronicles is a reverse harem erotic continuation on the beloved classic telling of Peter Pan.
This novella was great! It got me fully immersed in the world and politics of Neverland in such a short amount of time and also made me drool over these playboys who call themselves the lost boys 🥵 not to mention that we even got a bit of spice in this novella!
I read this little novella with my friend Yvonne, and we loved it! It starts off with some spice, so I just knew we were in for a good time 😉 It was intense and a little spooky, which took me by surprise. At this point, I'm indifferent toward Peter, and I haven't formed an opinion about the lost boys yet. Tiger Lily is quite scandalous and definitely a character to keep an eye on. I can't decide if I feel sorry for Tink or if she's going to annoy me 😂 The spookiness caught me off guard, especially when they were searching for the bone witch in the forest. Overall, it's a promising start, and I'm excited to delve deeper into this story.
I really enjoyed this novella! Quick read that will keep you wanting more! I mean I’m a sucker for a Peter Pan retelling so I’m excited to continue this series!
Plus I already have my eyes on Ryder🥵 can’t wait to get more of these lost boys!
I liked it. As I do with anything Peter Pan really, but not sold on continuing into the chronicles portion of it at the moment.. not sure there is enough there to push me to read them yet. Maybe in the future.
i feel like i can’t even call this a book, it was 50 pages long. i think it could’ve just been put as a long prologue, but i mean i already hate tiger lily that girl is a HOE and not the good kind and will pop those legs open for just about any person walkin around with a peewee attached to their body. i can already tell poor eben is going to be the tortured soul with enough trauma to resink the titanic but hey he’s hot so it all works out. ryder is precious and i love him already which means he’s probably gonna die unfortunately. peter’s fine so far nothing crazy but i think he needs to cut back on the viagra bc dude only has 2 moods so far pissed off and horny so hopfully we’ll actually see a personality transpire in the next book. xoxo
This novella is a quick read that keeps you entranced from beginning to end and leaves you wanting more. Its a promising beginning to a Peter Pan retelling. Looking forward to the next book.
Not too much of a reader. But as soon as I picked up this book, I had to be! I couldn’t put it down. Kept me interested and the authors have SUCH a way with words. ;)
I loved getting a quick glimpse in the Neverland Chronicles! A fast read and a look into the characters. This made me so excited for Second to the right!
A quick read that left me wanting more! The authors paint a vivid picture with details about the scene and characters that make you feel like you are there.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I read the opening sentence, but T.S. Kinley has woven a very intriguing story that I must have more of!
This novella quickly turned into an adventure through a world we can all see with new eyes. T.S. has created the perfect set up for future novellas, characters and situations, antagonists and a hero you want to dislike but can’t help but to cheer for.
I would have given a 3.5 star rating if possible, but Goodreads doesn't give the option for half-stars. Overall, there is a lot of potential here, and I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I was disappointed when I was reading to find that only half of the physical book is the story itself, with the other half being a preview into the next book in the series. Even for a novella, it felt much too short. The scenes themself could have been added to. I often found myself not able to picture the place the characters were in, or what the characters themself looked like beyond some very basic descriptions. If these things were filled in more, I think the story could have doubled in length pretty easily. Beyond that, from a writers perspective, this book has a lot of errors. Most of the story I am being told how the characters feel, not shown. This makes big moments really fall flat. There is also a lot of passive voice here too. Overall, it's a really exciting idea that the authors have, and I am hopeful that as the series continues the writing itself improves. We all start somewhere - this book is much better than my early writing.
I thought I was keen for a spicy Peter Pan edition…
However this is only the novella and my inner child is screaming at me, I don’t think she wants it. Spicy Captain Hook? Absofuckinlutly! But Peter Pan - the boy who never grows up…perhaps not. He may have, somehow, managed to grow up enough to be hate fucking Tiger Lily in this story, but in my head? Uh uh, nope, the math ain’t mathing.
I am going to continue the series for the moment, because I’m toxic af and haven’t DNF’d a series to date, though I have a feeling I may regret it. Not because it will be a bad story but because perhaps I’ve finally found my hard limit in a horny, fucked up Peter Pan 😂 give me masked stalkers or morally black unalivers any day of the week and I won’t bat an eye lid, this however might just kill my childhood.
This novella was a really solid introduction into the world of Neverland.
Despite its short length, it fully pulled me into the politics, atmosphere, and darker undercurrents of this world. It did exactly what a novella should do: set the tone, introduce key characters, and leave you curious for more.
It’s a quick read that gives just enough intrigue, danger, and mystery to make you want to continue the series. We get a glimpse of what’s unfolding in Neverland and what Peter is truly after - without overwhelming you with information.
Beyond the Veil is a bridge into the larger story rather than a standalone moment, and it works well in that role. A touch of darkness, a bit of adventure, and strong groundwork for what’s to come.
I’m definitely excited to keep going with this series.
This is a good start for these new authors. However, I was a little let down with the erotica in this novella especially after the first sentence. The novella was a good outline for the start of the story and provided some good context into the future of Peter and Neverlands story. Even though the Prologue was listed after "sneak peek" of the first full length book, it gave me more of an erotic feel the the novella itself. I hope the full length book follows along the path of the prologue with a more erotic feel. The writing and editing was awesome. Looking forward to reading the Second to the Right.
if you as a child loved the movie peter pan, and the movie holds a special place in your hearft.. then dont read this series of books. .im sorry .. i couldnt do it.. i read half way through this prelude book.. and had to stop.. something about peter pan having fun fun time with princess tigerlily and and all the graphic details of other encounters.. was too much my little childhood heart could take.. which is surprising when you think of some of the f'ed up shiz ive read lol...but this was a step too far for me lol.. each to their own.. but i want my kid memories in tact thankyou very much lol
This prequel does exactly what a prequel is supposed to do: snag you, hold you, make you want to pick up the first in the series. This short story did that for me and then some. Peter Pan stories never interested me but I must admit I've read some good ones over the past year. This one seems so interesting a great cast of characters, spice that is realistic and apparent in this prequel that's makes it compelling to pick up the series for anyone that enjoys some spice in their books. I can't wait to dive into the rest of these books.
I barely ever DNF a book but this just made me uncomfortable in so many places. This might partly be due to the fact I didn't properly understand what I was going to be reading when going into it. I thought it would be similar to peter pan but moving on years and years later. What I didn't properly grasp is that I would be reading a very sexualised and uncomfortable book about Peter Pan who is literally a boy who can't grow up yet either clearly has or is doing things that a child certainly shouldn't be doing. For me that was the biggest thing that made me stop reading it .
This is a prequel novella to The Neverland Chronicles and an interesting twist on the Peter Pan story we know. It’s a great introduction into the characters and world, giving a small glimpse as to what is going on in Neverland and what Peter is after. I am intrigued by this story and plan to find out more and read the rest of the series soon. I am also looking forward to have the POV of multiple characters including the lost boys!

Review: I recommend the Neverland Chronicles to anyone that wants a retelling. I would definitely recommend this book first as it will give you a back story to how it all began. I did end up reading this after reading all 3 books. I love this series so much and I'm glad I got a backstop to the beginning. One of my favorite retellings.
