I received a gifted copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review as part of the book tour hosted by Lovebookstours.

The Butterfly Bee Lady and the bee is a heartwarming and beautifully told story for children that even I, as an adult, adored.
This engaging story is wonderfully told, and the illustrations are fantastic throughout the book.
The butterfly bee lady meets Bramley and leaves him to care for her eggs while she is gone attending to other things. This book cleverly explains life cycles and the planets ecosystems within the story and has a cleverly woven message and moral values for children about love, family, and sacrifice.
This book did have me feeling emotional over an insect at one point, and I can see children feeling the same way as they get drawn into the story.

Any kid who picks it up will get sucked into the world created by this one of a kind author, and any adult will fall in love with the compelling plot and interesting characters. I would recommend this book to teachers who are looking for a piece of literature that will get students excited to read, or to really anyone who loves the Fantasy genre.

It’s a children’s book. It’s a short read that can be read in few hours. So I will briefly summarise the story. The story has been set up in a garden in countryside. There lived a beautiful butterfly named Beelady. One day she met a bee named Bramley. She added “Z” in every words in her Bee language. There are twin sisters Sindeena and Belliza. They are daughters of the Butterfly Bee Lady, who was once a Queen of dragonflies. And one day Beliza found a beautiful stone. Read the book to unfold further plot. I loved the magical world created by author’s imagination. It’s tol beautiful. I absolutely loved the story. I loved the inclusion of cute little pictures. I picked up the book and couldn’t put it down until the end as the story is too interesting. The story is written in such a way that is easily understandable to all the children as well as it will enhance their language. After a long this story reminded me of my all childhood reading and memories. I loved the fictional and magical touch given to the story. I want to explore more stories by this author. It’s a good one. Recommended from my side.

When the opportunity came up to read this book I just couldn't say no!

This book is so well written and beautifully illustrated throughout, the story really comes to life while you are reading it. The way you know how good an author is they can make your feelings change for the characters.... and I never thought I'd feel such sadness and happiness over a bee but it happened!

It draws you it right from the start with the unique butterfly bee lady and keeps you hooked, a fantastic read for children and adults (probably ages 8+ to grasp it). A perfectly written story with exquisite illustrations to go with !

The Butterfly BeeLady and The Bee by first time author, Ig Oliver, is a lovely story about family, friends, love and making sacrifices to protect others. It is a gripping tale of fantasy, magic, adventure with mild peril which keeps all engaged from start to finish. Very cleverly containing a fun message which will help children understand our planets ecosystem and the creatures within it, covering where some animals live and life cycles.

I read this book with my 6-year-old daughter. We both loved it from start to finish, my daughter was so engrossed that she found it a little emotional in places. It encouraged lots of discussion about life cycles of insects as well as having a growth mind-set and being a good person.

My only complaint with this book is I found the text a little small, especially considering the large size of the book, which my daughter struggled to hold comfortably.

I loved the beautiful, detailed, bright illustrations, which really guided you through the story, making the main characters and their surroundings come to life.

I loved Bramley, he is such a strong determined character, with the courage to do what is right to help friends, and never giving up even when it seems impossible. He becomes who he needs to be to protect others and takes on the role of father with no hesitation.

My daughter love the character Bee, as she was kind, caring, strong and a good sibling who stayed calm.

This is a great book from both a story and educational perspective and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

The Butterfly Beelady and the Bee

By ig OLIVER

My Ratings - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

The Butterfly Bee Lady and the Butterfly is the Short yet inspiring book for kids as well as for adults hence anybody of any age can read and enjoy this book as it contains a really heartfelt story of a Beelady, who is initially a butterfly but she lives as a Bee because of the colors of her wings which were designed as a Bee.

The book started with the intro about the Bee Lady and then the story proceeds with her friendship with a Bee. A few days ago she lays eggs in a beautiful tree but she has to left her eggs and take off to another place for some reason, so she told the Bee to take care of her eggs in her absence. The story then proceeded with one of the Daughter of Butterfly Bee Lady who was prior to a Queen of Dragonflies. Apart from this, there were more characters added by the author in this story to make it more adventurous.

The story teaches about Friendship, love, trust, Honesty, and many more. This story has something magical in it which leads you through the end of the book in just one sit. I really enjoy reading this type of fiction. It seems like I m watching a movie about a Butterfly Bee Lady in Disney channel or any kids channel.

I would really like to recommend this book to Kids as well as for parents and adults to read it and to understand the meanings of this book.

Won this through Good Reads Giveaway. I think this is a great story for younger kids, but also can be read by adults too because of the way it is written. It is a beautiful story about love and family and making sacrifices to protect your children. Bramley's character is very strong and the perfect father who wants to keep his children safe. Overall, it was a good read. The illustrations were also wonderful and I could actually imagine this being an animation film.

This book is a short read of a few hours. It is a children's book and the author had set up the plot of a beautiful garden in the countryside.

The story is about the beautiful butterfly, the Bee Lady who met a bee, Bramley. The bee was shouldered with the responsibility of protecting her 91 children from her twin sister, Sindeena.

Sindeena and Belliza were the daughters of the Queen of the dragonflies. They went in an argument because of the discovery of golden pollens and since then parted their ways.

What happens next? Will Sindeena find her sister's babies? For more, you have to read the book.

The book is written in a simple language which can be easily understood by the children. The story has a magical fictional touch to it. There are cute little pictures included in between the story. To make the story more interesting, the author has added 'Z' at the end of every word to make it sound like the language of bees. The imagery created here is so beautiful. The character development is done well.

Overall, it is a perfect bedtime story.

Just look at this adorable cover! The little bumblebee is so cute!

This is a magical story that children and adults will fall in love with! If you like myths, fantasy and folklore combined with nature, wildlife and the beauty of our world then you will be right at home with this little gem!

I felt that the story was very creative and captivating and has clearly been written with a lot of love. I love the way that the author has incorporated pictures into the story - which are beautiful by the way - this adds so much life and colour to the pages.

The setting for the story is a garden, which is very fitting. The way that the author describes the scenery left me having no trouble picturing the scene.

This was a solid 4 star read for me!

What a lovely read! This book actually surprised me as I was expecting a cute little story about a Butterfly. It is but so much more! This book was filled with interesting facts about Bees but easily understandable for children as it comes naturally through the storytelling.
The pages are set out to easily read with short paragraphs manageable for children reading themselves but also for younger children being read a bedtime story!
Through the book there are lovely illustrations that don’t distract from the story itself. I really lovely quirky book.

What a cute book this ended up being. This story did surprise me I was thinking it was going to be a cute story about butterflies and bees but it ended up being so much more. You follow Bramley a bee who is left with the task of watching over some every important babies and make sure to keep them safe. Bramley ends up watching these babies as they grow into something special.
This is a great children books that kept me entertained as to what was going to happen next. And I have to say the illustration in this book was beautiful. I would high recommend reading this with your kids I think both of you will enjoy this book

A perfect book for children - a quick read about love and family. Can be read in a few hours and is packed with plot and adventure.

The story follows a Bee (Bramley) who has been given the task of keeping the children of the Bee Lady safe from those known as the Dragonfliers. A short read but also suspenseful and full of twists and turns, this will definitely keep children entertained and interested.

This is also an educational book as well, as the author includes scientific names for each character and also includes names and descriptions of some plants and herbs throughout the way. So this will help children learn about nature and animals while also having fun reading.

It also contains some beautiful illustrations throughout, very bright and colourful.

This is a great book for any parent to read with their child. The wonderful illustrations make the story more engaging. Two main themes are the love parents and their children share for each other and overcoming adversity. These themes are explored uniquely and give good depth to an adventure-filled plot.

Also, the author clearly has a strong love and understanding of nature and wraps it in a sense of wonder within the story. Reading this book made me reminisce about being a child and going on nature walks with my Mum and Dad - Happy Days!

A great book for parents and children to read together!

The Butterfly Bee Lady and The Bee by the author IG Oliver is a children's book. But this is the kind of book that can be read by anyone.

The story is set in a garden in the countryside. It is about a beautiful and colourful butterfly Beelady. She met a bee Bramley. Both the Beelady and Bramley started meeting each other in the garden. They enjoyed by collecting pollens together, do chatting, fly through flowers and meet new friends.

One day Beelady gave 91 eggs and she asked the bee to take care of her eggs in her absence.

As the story progresses, we get to know about Sindeena and Belliza twin sisters who got into the argument due to the discovery of golden pollen. When Bramley heard this story from the king and the queen, they asked Bramley to return home and take care of babies as Sindeena will always be behind them to hunt. Read the story to know will Bramley find the eggs safe on returning home?

An alphabet z at many places at the end of the words totally gave the feeling that I am around bees. I really admire this idea by Oliver as it is unique.

As the book is for kids, the language of the story is simple. The images used in the story definitely makes the book more interesting. It's a colourful magical tale that I would recommend to everyone.

🐝 This is such a magical book that I think elementary teachers should invest in to read to their classes and parents to read to their children. The vivid and immensely beautiful illustrations will surely keep the readers engaged while immersing themselves in this imaginative story.

🦋 As an adult reading this book, the addition of the ‘Z’ sounds at the ends of words were a bit distracting. Obviously, the purpose is to make it sound like a bee would sound if one was able to talk. I do think children would love the addition of these sounds, though, and since the book is geared towards them, it is a clever addition by Oliver.

🐝 This would make a perfect teacher gift for earlier elementary teachers. I think they would be grateful to have such a spectacular book in their classroom libraries!

The Butterfly Bee Lady and The Bee
Ig Oliver

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is such a beautiful story filled with magic, love and sacrifice.

I loved the characters and how the friendship between the Bee and the Bee Lady progressed over the time they spent together.

A great tale of love overcoming the differences between them.

Bee sacrifices his current life to care for and nurture Bee Lady's babies ...even though they are not his own and he didn't understand why Bee Lady had to leave them. Risking his own life to keep them all safe.

Further friendships are formed between Bee and the spider and bat which prove very useful in the final battle between the good and evil magical sisters - Bee being the hero of course.

So pleased that there was a lovely, magical happy ending.

A perfect read for those who love nature and magical fairytales.

🐝Butterflies,Bees and Bright Coloured Pollen!!🦋

The Butterfly Bee Lady and the Bee is book 1 in the Butterfly Bee Lady series, written by IG Oliver. This book focuses on Butterfly bee Lady and her relationship with Bramley Bee as they fight within the dragonflyers to save their family.

My favourite character is Bramley bee,he is such a strong character and will do anything to save his family.

My favourite part of the book was when Bramley met Butterfly bee lady, their relationship was really heartwarming.

I found the ending really tear jerking ,but beautiful at the same time, and I’m looking forward to reading more books in the series.

This book is aimed at children aged between 7-10,but I think adults would equally like reading the book too.If you loved Charlotte’s web, then this book is for you.

Illustrations are really good and makes the book. I love the fact its quick read and the writing is one white pages, this really would be great for YA or children. The language is simple and would be good for this group. Reading the blurb on the back I thought the story would have more substance.

The Butterfly Bee Lady and the Bee
4/5⭐️

This book is perfect for children. I don’t think it was for me as it was a bit young for my taste. However, I don’t rate books based on my enjoyment alone. The quality of the writing plays a major role in my ratings and I can’t fault the writing in this book. The book is very short with a beautiful story. It has stunning illustrations that complement the story throughout. It is an easy read and conveys important messages about life/nature. It is the perfect bedtime story!
