The situation on Telkan has become desperate, the Unified Civilized Council has struck at the Terran Confederacy of Aligned Systems, their allies, and any Terran civilization they can locate. The diplomat Dreams of Something More has found herself discovering terrible secrets, and even worse things are approaching to challenge all of the players.
The Cygnus-Orion Galactic Arm Spur is rapidly descending into open warfare between the Precursor Autonomous War Machines, the Unified Civilized Council, the Terran Confederacy of Aligned Systems, the Dwellerspawn, and whoever is willing to pick up a weapon and board a spaceship.
On Telkan, Vuxten has found himself facing off against a world ending threat, hoping to just hold it off long enough to allow the civilians to evacuate.
But will even the might of V Corps (Old Blood), the newly minted Telkan Marine Corps, and the Terran Space Force Navy be enough to save the planet's native population?
I read the entire serial as it was posted on Reddit, bought all the books. Looking forward to the 12 year long Netflix/Amazon/Apple series when they pick it up.
The greatest sci-fi series of the 21st Century so far.
“Behold Humanity!:Thou Shalt Not Fall” Book 4, continues an entertaining and oft times humorous saga set millennia in the future, employing references to books, film, television, gaming, and other near time cultural references.
The pace is frenetic to build up excitement in action scenes. The chronic lack of adequate proofreading leading to errors that dismounts a reader from the narrative flow continues.
“Behold Humanity!: ...” is recommended, fully read via Kindle Unlimited, with Highlights/Notes on Goodreads indicating some of its needless (Read lazy) flaws.
It I just can’t. The storylines are awesome when they are not hilarious.
But…saying ‘this needs proofreading’ really understates the issue. Missing words, misspelled words, and poorly constructed sentences. Too many to simply wave off.
If you enjoyed the previous novels, you damn well better keep going. Blah bleh-blah. I want more. But some time needs to be spent editing. This is just raw output.
There are moments of humour where I almost wet myself. There are moments of excitement and self sacrifice that has me in tears. That thing with Sandy, a character you meet at the start of book one for a handful of pages, and I still get torn up thinking about her. This book is just insane, and I love it.
The book and series are awesome, but there are some scenes that are just brutally descriptive of the thoughts and emotions of combat. Other than that, the story is phenomenal and the characters are immensely relatable.
Fantastic. So many pop and SF references. So much humor juxtaposed with insightful character development. I haven't enjoyed a series this much since Honor Harrington.
