I read the Sabina series first. It had the humor, the mystery, the "every dayness" to it, and it was clean. I so looked to this series. This series has Kelsey. On the storyline, how Kylie delivered the action, the knowledge, is really breathtaking. How someone can deliver like that is unbelievable. That part alone deserves five stars. Now here comes the reason for the three stars. I do not like the "free" sex. Kelsey should have more respect for herself that to be so free with her body. That goes for Charlie also. The way they drink, do drugs....... The sex, drugs, liquor, could have been left out. Kelsey has a good heart, doesn't mind helping others, giving to others, she has some smarts. She just doesn't have it when it comes to drugs, liquor, or cigarettes. I am sorry I should have said earlier that I love the character Carl. I do want to say I am sorry if I hurt Katie's feelings or made her made. That wasn't my intentions. I still can't get over the work, the knowledge, the thoughts that went into the storyline.
This is the 4th book I've read in this series and have to say right now I'm actually shaking. The series is so intense, some funny too but it's all too feasible to happen. It's 4:14a.m. and I could not go to sleep till I finished this book. The books are written so well, the characters grab you and pull you in deeper to the story. A favorite author for me to be sure.
This series is so well written and full of great characters, twists and turns, suspense and action. You really need to read the whole series in order. For now, it's enough. I really love the characters and the writing, but it is heavy some of the time and if I read more of the series, it will be later. I need a break for a while.
There is always something going on in this series. Just when you think you have it figured out there’s another twist. I got a kick out of one of Kelsey’s safe houses being in Covington,Ga. I grew up not far from there. I don’t want this series to end. I can’t wait for the next book.
Never-ending action and danger after danger make this series one you can't put down. Incredibly strong main character and a host of others that help her face whatever life throws at her.
This book was dark, and scary, but, still excellent. Kelsey is such a strong woman. I cried at what she had to endure. I also cheered when she took out slot of the evil. I can't wait to see what happens next.
I feel torn with this novel. Bones went from 3 books in to not knowing Kelsey at all. It doesn't work for me tbh.I really liked his character until the drastic change where he went from a caring guy to a complete tosser.
This one was intense. Lots of bad happenings as the bad guys try to take her down. At least Nola is dealt with appropriately. It was a complicated plot that was written very well. Not a lot of happy moments in this one.
Kelsey is the bomb! Such a amazing well written character. You are rooting for her though out the series! She is a badass with a heart of gold! Great read
This series keeps you on the edge of your seat. Very intense, I had a hard time putting this book down. I have the next book in my pile to read and will be ordering number six.
